After the passage of the newest large scale constitutional reform package in the Senate, what once was called the Dual Republic shall now be referred to as the Dual Monarchy. Via clever and ruthless political maneuvering especially in regards to public perception, Theodora Lackmann, now calling herself Thaller-Lackmann to establish continuity to the rightful claimants to the throne and showcase her being a blood-relative even if her mothers name was different, has made herself invulnerable in the eye of the electorate and serves as a galeone figure for stability as well as security. In her new rule as Queen of both Narikaton and Darnussia as well as other more 'titular and honorary' titles (her official title being: Her most glorious Majesty, the Queen of Narikaton and Darnussia, Guardian over the Southern Dundorfians and Nariks, Shield against Luthorian, Lourennaise and Communist Barbarism, Tamer of the most majestic Steeds, Princess of the Jelbic peoples, spiritual Leader of the Pandundorfian movement and patron saint of all merchants on terra Theodora von Thaller-Lackmann) she will actively steer the government politically by using her constitutionally protected privileges as monarch. She has the power to appoint or sack individual members of the whole government which in comparison to parliament makes the role of the Head of State more powerful. This fits in the pattern of Narikaton and Darnussia pivoting toward a strong central leadership figure a bit distanced from day-to-day bickering and party politics. Parliament has the power to sack cabinets with a 2/3 majority but is not allowed to propose a new government. Legislation on the other hand is completely in the parliaments hand except for very special cases which have constitutional reform character and directly affect the regulations to the bodies of power like the monarch or parliament, those cases have to be sanctioned by the monarch. 

The succession process has been described as unorthodox because while Lackmann's children have priority over others, in the end is in the court of the currently reigning monarch to designate a successor, there are no rules preventing her to name a completely different person. Parliament has no place in this process, it just observes and symbolicly swears fealty after the formalities have been worked through. The public has been continously giving more attention to this topic because Lackmann has not yet married or had children and her biological 'clock' is ticking. She has rejected any claims about her being infertile or other appaling rumors going around. "I've just been saving myself for a good man and enjoying life." Those were her most recent words regarding this topic. 

Now with the monarchy officially established, the constitution now mandates the roles of Head of Government and Head of State be separated. Lackmann's been still fulfilling the role in the interim while the transformation processes had to be finished but now decided to name VVP moderate and ultimate pragmatist Josef Beidel as the first Reichschancellor of the Dual Monarchy. He was nice enough to give us an interview after the press-conference announcing Lackmanns decision to appoint him.

Sadly it was cut short due to various necessary structural changes, such as a general department hierarchy review, are necessary so he could only answer one question.

The foundation, or what very oldschool-educated people refer to as a restoration, has prompted interest from Kaliburg in the happenings of the former Dual Republic. To understand the nature of this meetup, we have to look at certain aspects of the two nations' past. While official interactions between the governments amount to close than zero, businesses have been interacting with each other which probably has been serving as some sort of catalyst to establish some ties that need to by diplomaticly processed. We suspect that certain aspects of Narikaton and Darnussia's policy are going to be discussed such as the role of Queen Lackmann as well as her modern Thaller heritage since they still hold some infamy in intercontinental circles. Pundits also expect a lot of ideological ground to step over considering that while both are Monarchies the Dual Monarchy is a lot more conservative minded than the Empire of Ananto. It saddens us all to finally comment on the newest tragedy of the contemporary, our dear leader Emperor Bunjamin has died from a stroke. As the entire state elite of the Dual Monarchy observes with worries, the nation and the citizens are mourning their beloved Emperor. The Lion Guard held the ceremonious torch-march as a symbolic honoring of recently diseased persona cum magna gravita. Three days of mournig have been announced by the government in which only essential services are going to be staffed. 

According to our insiders in the 3rd Point Federation and the Corporate Senate Block the Chancellor has announced the financing of peculiar groups in Beiteynu which some dub a Dual Monarchist power grab during this time of chaos. Various business entities as well as political pressure groups work in and surrounding Himmelshtern consolidating assets and starting long-prepared hostile takeovers of private enterprises. Some VVP politicians have openly suggested legal harmonization as Beiteynu and the Dual Monarchy already pragmaticly use similar rulesets and actual political integration seems more like a "formality." The eccentric Chancellor Josef Beidel (VVP) has made headlines and waves among his equals with his newest political maneuvers forcing Queen Lackmann to restaff the cabinet with more VVP members. According to rumors this changes come as a trade-off for the VVP's agreement to the new monarchist constitution. Almost the whole new cabinet is made out of VVP or corporate candidates. The Orderfaction maintains mostly smaller departments even though Friedrich Graf von Kozaria, the incumbent Director of Foreign Affairs had a OF membership during his days in the politicized authorities. Many see this as a stabilizing factor with the two major politicla forces showing that they're currently able to work together in favor of stability and not only look towards personal gain even if the VVP is pushing the boundaries between nationstate responsibility and party political efforts.

After years of planning and political pressuring, the 3rd Point and JAMS are going to evolve via the new Migrant Accords treaty which formalizes the foundation of the 3rd Point Trade Federation. A new framework organization aiming to structure, coordinate and support the actions of trade-focussed nations around the Migrants Pass. Protecting against Piracy and isolating different threats from third party actors are key points of this new partnership framework. While politicly these are rough days for the political elite of the Dual Monarchy, the average citizen has only been seeing waning Jelbic influence in their day-to-day lifes anyways. Many are looking with anxiety at the future of the Jelbic Monarchy and the Emperor's. Wrntukai the second is now residing with Queen Theodora shortly after which they've publicly announced their relationship and their intent to embrace the task of establishing a royal family together. Rumors about Lackmann's very.. special obsession with the late-Emperor the father of her boyfriend have been slammed and are now increasingly getting censored. The Queen's office has stated that any further spreading of this 'nonsense' will have legal consequences. The Queen herself also has found a few words at the press-conference she gave together with her new partner.

With this speech, Lackmann has ended the press-conference. A few short days after it concluded the announcement of the engagement of Wrntukai and Lackmann was announced by the Chancellory and the office of the Queen. They've also stated in tandem with the government of the Dual Monarchy that they're in constant communication with their allies to adress various issues connected to the succession of Wrntukai and are actively pushing to have his claims fulfilled. Political experts find it curious that it seems like Lackmann is going to take a more active role in government again after the downfall of the Empire. She's been mostly seen doing charitative work and keeping distance from day-to-day politics but recently she's been spotted leaving and meeting Beidel often. Many suspect that she's actively pushing her own political agenda but nobody really knows what to expect.

Considering the market-dominance of Dundorfian car-manufacturers in the low and middle-class tiers of the Dual Monarchist economies, the domestic manufacturesrs have had a hard time competing against the industry titans and their age-long knowhow. A new contender that has seen some success in recent years is the company "Jamborghini" who've dedicated themselves to the production of Luxury Cars. Their two most recent releases the Jamborghini "Geillardo" and its sequel the "Geillardo two" have been making them money as its super popular with the economic and political elite of the nation. Many can be seen cruising along the beautiful coastline motorways of the Darnussian coast or on the decadent promenades of Jorgen's Freiheit. As a funny side-note, they've been gaining marketing benefits due to the fact that Chancellor Beidel himself is driving one of their cars and his popularity is rubbing off on the company. What a time to be a Beidel.

After various calls for the defense against international fascism and protection of the fundamental right of property, the Dual Monarchy has decided to follow the lead precedented by Ananto and Beiteynu in enforcing sanctions on the Kundrati regime as well as supporting increased Federation expeditionary action in the Artanian sea to complement current trade-security operations in the Pass.  "You never know with rogue actors such as Kundrati, we'd rather be a little overbearing now than to endanger the assets of the global merchant class. The Dual Monarchy will fulfill its responsibilities as a trustworthy international partner and assist in these operations to isolate fascists." These announcements have been flanked by mobilizing a smaller fleet out of home-sea vessels to support any action deemed necessary by the international anti-fascist coalition.

Many eyebrows were raised by the newest Dual Monarchist private sector scheme. Many of the larger financial institutions unburdened by previous governments guidelines and regulations favoring investment into the expansion of the oversized Military Industrial Sector have started taking interest in transforming the economy back to a hyper-competitive consumer good predator. In this spirit BannerBank Limited and the modern 'startup' bank ThallerCoinVault (TCV) have announced their participation in transforming the effecient Clenonberg-era Nährrode agricultural district into a more cashcrop focussed business savy region. As a first scheme the newcomer in the primary sector of the economy of Narikaton and Darnussia is the company "Rot & Zucker" (R&Z) who have declared a "war" against Xsampan dominance in international strawberry markets. "Our tropical climate and our liberal mindset will beat the reds." said CEO Machiel Deerns (VVP member). During the press-conference Deerns has pointed toward the obvious advantages the Dual Monarchist upstart has in comparison to Xsampa State Owned Industry. "We dont pay those fu- ah I mean, we can introduce and maintain certain... efficiency markers... or something!" What made investors more confident in the endeavour is the clear involvement of the central government such as Josef Beidel (VVP) himself and the prominence-gaining Jette Marissen (Corporate). And obviously the massive amount of money coming towards the diverisifcation of the agricultural sector didnt hurt confidence either.
