President Fein’s first challenge has been successfully overcome as the newly elected GRP politician managed to come to an agreement with the VVP to form a grand coalition. This comes as the first try to form a four-party government with the smaller centrist parties and the DRP failed. According to the agreement between the GRP and the VVP, the VVP has strongarmed important ministerial positions as a condition to form a coalition. The VVP will occupy the Foreign Ministry and the Finance Ministry as well as Economic Affairs. The rest will go to the GRP. From a policy standpoint the agreement sees to reduction of the Defence Spending which is now possible due to the naval capacities being reduced to pre-crisis levels. Many were anxious to see what kind of agreements the two rivals were going to achieve when it comes to taxation and subsidies. It seems like the GRP has agreed to subsidies in the form of tax exemptions for corporations that report believable growth perspective and those that are able to stabilize the trade situation after the Neset has taken a hit in stability following the last decade of uncertainty. While many have voiced an uneasy feeling over the formation of this government it seems that for now that the political situation is stable. Critical opinions were perceivable from all sides but most of them came from the Thallerists as they think that their strong gains in the last election should be seen as a mandate to govern together with the GRP.

Like literally everyone expected, the negotiations between the VVP and the GRP have never ended, even after reaching a general agreement and making a contract on planned coalition measures they are fighting for every meter, but it seems like that President Fein is currently leveraging her personal popularity against the low polling numbers of the VVP. The social democrats have strongarmed even more concessions from their conservative junior partner in the soon to be in effect education reform. It includes several subsidies for lower incomer households from working class families to increase the number of conversions from labour families to academic families. “We’d like to see a strong and healthy middle class which can only grow if everyone has an equal opportunity for success.” Said the President.

While the GRP has made a lot of progress, they still have to play the tid-for-tad game with their partner, the VVP in turn gets a fund not under supervision of the President which they’re supposed to use for investment and steering the economy into another ‘boom’ phase. According to the Minister of Economic Affairs Harry Reiter (VVP), they are currently in talks with the Deltarian government to flood money into their revitalizing economy, both investments and cheap loans have been assured from Bannerhafen as their long-time friend and partner is removing hindrances for business. It seems like the age-old friendship and economic partnership treaty between Deltaria and Narikaton and Darnussia seems still in place within the new nation of the Triad Republics.

First of which is an immense action plan outlining strategic points of investment in Deltaria, the recently re-awakened nation has specializations which are not points of strength in the economy of the Triad and due to that seem like an attractive opportunity to invest in, another point of benefit is the fact that Deltaria has been a mostly stable providing economy over the years and of course the historicly good relationship between Narikaton and Darnussia and the Tsardom. The second, somewhat surprising, plan was to loan large amounts of money to the istalian Imperial regime which has been lobbying across the continent for support. Bannerhafen has been welcoming the overtures and is helping along the way to bring many interested actors into the fold of buying government bonds from Romula.

A tragedy has occurred in downtown Bannerhafen which is causing concerns for the security in the nation. A member of the Thaller family, the young businessman Joachim has been murdered in coldblood in broad daylight. This news has shaken the nation and the political elite of the Triad. According to police reports there appears to be credible evidence of radical socialists being involved with this horrible crime. President Klara Fein’s colleague from the social democratic GRP, Xaver Holbrecht, who is also the general secretary of the party, stated that the people responsible can expect the full weight of the Triad justice system once caught. While the statement has eased some moods, nonetheless public opinion seems increasingly sceptical of the socialist tendencies within the GRP, this comes as no surprise considering the history of struggle with Left-wing ideologies in Narikaton and Darnussia as well as Himmelshtern. The Thallerists parties in parliament have been making use of this event and are trying to make Joachim a martyr for their cause.

This has revealed already suspected rifts in the coalition of GRP and VVP as the corporate connected conservative party is going out of their way to make it the political topic of the day. "The Thallerist position is one of reciprocity, a rogue isolated state in the southern ends of Majatra cannot threaten Triad business interests like this without punishment. We call for sanctions against this criminal regime." Economic analysts tend to question the merit of the regime in Zardugal "considering that the tech purchased by them is quite old by now, we do not see any danger to the economic situation of the manufacturers of solar panels in Narikaton or Darnussia for that matter."

The newest stunt of the grand coalition is the VVP-led Foreign Ministry's announcement of the official renaming of the Migrant's Pass. To honor the achievements of one of the region's most important politicians, Josef Beidel, the Chancellor from the VVP, they've decided to rename it to "Beidel's Pass" all official documents from the government and services provided by publicly organized legal entities are mandated to use the new nomenclature. Domestic reactions have been mixed, allowing this has certainly earned President Fein some sympathy points with the hosian democratic base of the VVP but it has also confused her own left wing electorate as they're still waiting for the implementation of some of her most anticipated projects. In any case this act of symbolism will have consequences; no one knows how the rest of the world will react.

In a ominously released document it states that the Thallerists, explicitly the Thallerist Conservative Party has been financing attack ads against the Luthorian Church in the Triad as well as pushing money to clubs and or other civil structures that try to influence the religious landscape of the nation. This has shaken up the political landscape as the elections of 5624 loom in the background. According to social media analysts, there has been no clear indication regarding the public reception of these events. Many have questioned the reason behind this - as some have dubbed it - conspiracy against Luthorian influence in the Triad. Professor for 5th Millenium History at the University of St. Cedrik Geerd Banane explained that ideologically speaking Thallerists have usually been pushing against Luthorian influence on the Artanian continent and especially in Narikaton and Darnussia itself, no matter if its religious or political. While "still surprising" due to the power dynamics between Luthori and the Triad, it is ideologically consistent with the Thallerist regimes of old. Banane continued to reason that this is not a clear sign since new-school Thallerists are likely not willing to go along with old rivalries or bitter revanchism. Potential political allies such as the VVP have only responded to this leak in a limited capacity. From official side, the ministry of Justice stated that it would examine if any relevant criminal behaviour regarding the spending of public finances have been broken, which considering the very liberal party financing laws and extremely low public spending on political parties seems very unlikely. Luthorian Minority rights activists are arguing in various media platforms that these covert operations of the Thallerists have caused the societal attitude toward Luthorians to shift against them. Thallerist Conservatives have denied these claims.
