First Election in Decades soon, Three parties to battle at the polls with new contenders, New constitution and government implemented!
Kundrati in recent years has seen a tumultuous change in the entire nation. The former leader of the nation Lazar Saburov was killed during the battle of formerly named Legionaria, perishing in the presidential palace. The war claimed the lives of nearly 4 million Kundratis nation wide, and secrets held from the public on the legions labor camps, testing sites, and super soldier programmes have become public to the shock of many. People around the nation are experiencing freedoms we haven't possessed as a people for nearly 70 years, but on the same token millions are living in anguish over the loss of loved ones and homes. Jildrath, Peghonai, and dozens of cities lie in ruins from brutal urban fighting. Millions live without electricity and running water, and the governmental vacuum has left many wondering what their future is in the country.
A new constitution and government agreed upon by the occupying forces has been implemented and yet waits to be seen how effectively it will operate, after agreement with the new political party organizations and coalition delegates. It is a proposed semi presidential system including; A 400 seat parliament where nation wide local voting will translate to seats in parliament, but presidents will be elected via a national vote which will translate to FPTP to a provincial electorate with electors hailing from each state voting for the president in accordance with the provincial vote. Consisting of 100 electors based on population, 25 for Pilgon, 20 for Lirnak, 15 for Jildrath, 20 for Celania, 20 for Peghonai. Whichever candidate receives the majority of the electoral votes against other candidates will become president, in the instance of a tie a 2nd vote will be held, and if tied again the parliament will vote on candidates. Presidents will serve 6 year terms, with a maximum consecutive term limit of 3, but may run again for an additional 3 terms after a 1 term break.
For parties to receive seats there is a minimum 8% vote threshold, there will be a national reconciliation council to reintegrate former soldiers and generals into the new regimes government and military to prevent insurgents and threats to peace. An Integrity Council of appointed members by the president will be formed to prevent extremist politicians and corrupt judges, they will be able to disqualify candidates who are believed to be under foreign influence, anti constitutional views, or pose national security risks. Laws will be implemented banning all foreign financial interference in elections. The President will maintain strong executive powers of war, foreign diplomacy, appointments, supreme commander of the armed forces, and internal security. The parliament will vote on legislation and budget. The previous social laws of the regime will remain in effect, and may be voted on for changes. A media ethics board will be formed to ensure no extremist views are allowed, and must be vetted before allowing broadcast, and Local councils in districts comprised of appointed locals who represent the traditions and views that reflect national standards.
Three main parties are heading to the polls for the election in 8 months after they begin campaigning.

[Moderate Conservatism, Liberalization of Education and social laws, free Media, open borders, mass privatization, foreign aid]

[State health care, wide ranging welfare laws, strong interventionism abroad for Liberalism]

We at the Pravda place our faith and vote in Jozef Otčenáš, his decorated service in the war proves his merit and conviction. As former special forces Colonel he was pivotal in the defense of Jildrath and former Legionaria, personally fighting on the frontlines with 17 confirmed kills, and receiving the Medal of Sladek for personally destroying 3 tanks and damaging 2 armored vehicles in a single day. He lost his leg in combat and continues to maintain the same heroic bravery for our country today. His policies we believe will open Kundrati to a new era of prosperity.

The first democratic election in recent Kundrati history has taken place, resulting in an NPR victory! The results are tabled below:

I with the help of you the people, and the NRP, will do my utmost to uphold the values you believed in us by your own votes. I aim soon to begin reconciliation with powers abroad once considered foe, and usher in an era of diplomacy and commerce. Long Live Kundrati!"
The new president immediately made overtures to multiple nations for the war-torn country, Kundrati is in desperate need of aid during its post war recovery. All those who are willing to volunteer for aid efforts are encouraged to participate.

Romulo fund aid arrives to rebuild the nation, New corporate deals to be signed for key industries
The Romulo fund has agreed to provide approximately 3-4 billion in aid for the recovery of the war damages received during the 2nd Kundrati War, president Jozef Otčenáš declared he would prioritize 4 primary targets with the aid: Food, Roads, Electricity, and Water. All the proceeds would go into repairing and feeding the nation, repairing nuclear power plants and laying new pipework for pumping stations after food aid stations and farms were repaired, millions of new jobs working to repair roadworks and clean rubble have been created, many soldiers of the old army volunteered to help aid in mine clearing and ordnance removal. Repairs are expected to begin showing results within 2 years, and hope to achieve an increase in water and power availability by 27% within 8 months.
Following the fall of the Legionary regime, dozens of previously state owned industries have now been placed up for privatization after vetting by Committees. 3 Former fields of state control have been sold to majority stake holding entrepreneurs under the new regime forming 3 major companies.
1: Podlezl Mining Conglomerate (PMC) Which now owns 30% of all the nations mining assets and properties under billionaire and former upper party state company commissar, Leoš Podlezl
2: Novák Agri-Enterprises (NAE) Comprising 46% of all arable land now owned by Radim Novák, nephew of the 1st President of L-Kundrati, Bronislav Sladek.

Reconstruction efforts begin to bear fruit as Kundrati begins approaching new trade partners
5 years have passed without major incident in the nation as the Romulo fund and many foreign benefactors aid efforts have made strides in helping president Otčenáš and the NRP repair and rebuild the nation. Thus far, all 4 of the major targets that being electricity, water, roads, and agriculture have been significantly improved. Power is now available to 79% of the country as 3 Nuclear power plants have been repaired and retrofitted with modern safety measures previously ignored by the Legionary regime to cut costs. Clean drinking water is now almost universally on the market, in some rare cases such as the more isolated communities in Lirnak, and especially amongst the former inmate populations of the infamous IDL camp who have now conglomerated into new towns in the vicinity, drinking water is transported or stored in water towers. Road networks continue to be rebuilt as the materials for asphalt and concrete remain is a small supply given their mass use to repave the formerly destroyed roads during the 2nd Kundrati war and the regimes scorched earth policies. Finally agriculture proved the easier of the 4 categories to repair as the fields themselves were simply burned and abandoned, the greatest hurdles being purchasing and rebuilding the many barns and silos needed, including importing thousands of Tractors and equipment.

[Damaged buildings, Jildrath coast, many destroyed buildings continue to remain vacated as the nation rebuilds. Analysts believe around 150,000 such ruins still persist.]
In total: Water 98% complete, power 79% complete, agriculture up to 68% former yields since pre-conflict numbers (which were likely exaggerated), and 65% of roads repaved.
Many volunteers and workers continue to unfortunately suffer injury due to the presence of formerly unremoved mines and unexploded ordnance, just last week a 500KG buster bomb presumably dropped by Hutorian aircraft was discovered in ruins of formerly named Legionaria, which required the following 3 closest city blocks to be temporarily vacated as the munition was unable to be disarmed by any Kundrati bomb technicians familiar with the technology and no Hutorians were present in the country willing to risk disarming, and thus a controlled demolition was carried out after being covered with 400 tonnes of sand to reduce damages. Occupying forces still remaining in the country continue to provide effort when able however, and aid most especially in foodstuffs continues to come into the country.
The national budget thankfully continues to climb, but nowhere near pre-war levels, though many departments are receiving equal or superior funding distribution compared to the previous regime thanks to the nearly total lack of a military budget, the exception being the salaries of the former armed forces who have been disarmed except for some small units per the armistice agreement. The former size of the army had been around 1.2 million foot soldiers, which has been reduced to 200,000 men in noncombat roles for emergencies and civilian aid efforts such as distribution of goods and construction, only 5,000 men in the armed forces remain armed for the presidency and any terrorist activity, though many police and paramilitaries remain for policing in what some call a grey area of the agreement with an estimated 200,000 police and paramilitaries who are permitted firearms.
Lastly, the president was eager to announce he had approached and hoped to soon visit Malivia to begin discussions of a new trade deal and economic pact. President Otčenáš stated in his last public address from the palace,
"Luthori, Kalistan, Hutori, Davostag, and all other participants of the conflict have been instrumental in helping us achieve the freedoms we now enjoy that once were punishable, and they have all some more and less contributed to the reconstruction of our nation. But its time for Kundrati to be able to stand on its own two feet, we cannot rely on the generosity of others forever, and me and my cabinet hope that if successful in securing a deal with Malivia we can begin forming our own economic pact with other Artanian powers, lessening Luthoris grip on Kundrati affairs."

The recent regime change in Malivia and the reconstruction of Kundrati appear to be a match made in heaven, as President Otčenáš shook hands with Kalo Śukar in the capital, addressing reporters there."I am eager to begin rekindling relations with neighbors, we in Kundrati understand what it is to have a jaded past and we look forward to righting past wrongs with diplomacy and cooperation. President Jozef Otčenáš announces huge trade deal with 3 nations ahead of elections
Having promised a huge trade and diplomatic offensive, the president has announced the confirmation of 3 major trade deals with Selucia, Istalia, and Davostag. He made public the terms of each agreement which are listed below;Davostager Agreement
1: Kundrati will produce military equipment for export to Davostag at no cost equal to the investments made to repair and construct the prior facilities in Kundrati capable of manufacturing them, including industrial district Lirnak.
2: Kundrati will export 100 tonnes of enriched Uranium per year to davostag (enough to power 4 nuclear power plants for a year)
3: Lantfonden will export 250,000 tonnes of foodstuffs per year to Kundrati, Riksbyggnads will export 100,000 tonnes of asphalt & concrete per year, and have free transit of davostagers who wish to work temporary jobs as managerial oversight in infrastructure works. VGAB will export 50,000 tonnes of reinforced steel and iron per year.
4: Kundrati and Davostager merchants are free to trade at will between both powers without achieving majority shares in either country.
Istalian Agreement
1: Kundrati will export 100 tonnes of enriched uranium per year to Istalia (enough to power 4 nuclear power plants for a year)
2: Kundrati will import electronics, 8000 tonnes of Titanium, and a varied amount industrial machinery/vehicles per year.
3: Kundrati will begin a joint reconstruction effort to make additional ports alongside the existing Jildrath naval dockyard to allow greater trade volume through the southern coast, costs split 50/50 and employed with Kundrati workers, Istalia will receive a degressive tarrif scheme which will be implemented starting at 3% tariff, which will once an agreed import value is reached be reduced to 0%
4: Kundrati and Istalia may invest in one and other without either being able to hold majority shares in eachothers firms
Selucian Agreement
1: Kundrati will produce naval equipment and weapons systems for export to Selucia at no cost equal to the investments made to repair and construct the damaged Jildrath naval dockyards used for naval warship construction, after which further purchases will be at standard rates
2: Kundrati will import 300,000 tonnes of Foodstuffs, 40,000 tonnes of cane sugar, 300 tonnes of gold and silver, with varied amounts of electronics and coffee yearly
3: Kundrati and Selucian merchants are free to trade at will between both powers without achieving majority shares in either country.
This massive trade deal is projected to make billions in revenues and bring hundreds of thousands of jobs to the unemployed in the country, and finally relieve the resource shortages much needed for reconstruction efforts. The agreement will ensure the repairs of all the previously destroyed naval and military production facilities as well, which has garnered support from Ironcrest Technologies who expressed their eagerness to begin researching and developing modern solutions to warfare. The president claimed he had even more trade deals in the works and expects to achieve them within 6 months

In a major electoral victory for the NRP, President Jozef Otčenáš has been re-elected for a 2nd 6 year term. The Election results are as follows below;

The NRP now standing at 210 seats holds a singular majority in the Politburo having received 47.5% Of the national vote. Many attribute this massive uptick in votes due to president Otčenáš successful economic trade pacts and rebuilding efforts in the country which have massively improved living standards compared to the immediate post war nation. The fatherland front has also received more seats, which political commentators believe is due to the nation standing firm on its traditional values and not destroying the old institutions which helped make Kundrati a world power in the last decades. The NRP/FF Alliance seems to be here to stay, while the KPP, APPA, and LFA all faced large losses in political parity as the center-right appeal fades along with the left wing, having failed to manifest any meaningful bills in the Politburo or contribute to the recovery period, mostly causing scenes during debates and organizing petty protests to disrupt the true change all patriots in Kundrati wish to see. The president after his inauguration announced he had already as promised during his campaign secured even more trade deals.
Many were nervous to begin making attempts to trade and open the doors to our former foe not so long ago, but the president remained adamant that we must begin making friends of former enemies and not continue the vicious cycle of violence, so that all may benefit. A deal with Hutori has been struck in which the The Carter Energy Group, Blackwell Technology, and Gold Lion Capital who have all agreed to begin making major investments in Kundrati in the fields of power, technology, and finance. The president assured he negotiated fair deals and ensured that Kundrati jobs and money would greatly benefit having had Hutori agree to multiple stipulations to guarantee fair local growth.
Valruzia has agreed to allow Kundrati to export excess ores, metals, and enriched uranium in exchange for their many offered Pharmaceuticals and agricultural products through their AgroSo initiative, Kundratis can expect a large variety of foods to be imported very soon on our local shelves, as hundreds of thousands of workers have begun pre signing up with new contract bonuses to become Miners and manufacturers, with many of them being for the soon awaited repairs of the former IDL facility and Jildrath naval yard.
Finally, Kaluzia has signed some minor agreements with the regime as well, agreeing to allow Kundrati ore exports especially in any available high grade Iron not already being used, as well as any excesses of tin, granite, marble, and zinc. Kaluzia has agreed to allow Podlezl Mining Conglomerate to begin investing in some Iron mines in their own native country, while Kundrati may soon enjoy the imports of fine Kaluzian furniture, as well as their many cruise ships and cargo vessels. PMC has already announced the purchase of 1 luxury yacht and 30 cargo container ships for the future trade volume, and other companies too look forward to purchasing the much needed naval transport.

City state of Amshinov signs co-owned company deal, New economic reports in, Arañotz Dindairu admitted to psyche ward!
Beiteynu much like Kundrati suffered much in internal strife and conflicts, one which nearly saw Kundrati go to odds with the naval forces during the Xsampan war. One of the individual autonomous zones, that of Amshinov has recently agreed to a 50/50 owned company in Kundrati dubbed KAI (Kundrati-Amshinov Incorporated) the company mainly a stock investment organization will bring an immediate investment of 2 billion LFR in a variety of industries.
Previously the GDP of the Lazar era government prior to the war stood at approximately 97 billion Kuno per year, only just enough to stay afloat under heavy rationing despite intensive isolation, military spending, and autarky. Post war this dropped by over 50% and stood at only 28 billion as the country was ravaged, much of this money stored abroad. Now, thanks combination of astute economic planning, freedom of trade, and extensive negotiations with foreign powers the GDP now stands at 68 billion, which now due to a massive cut in military spending and other state programs roughly equates to the quality of life under the early Sladek regime. Economic planners report a GDP growth of roughly 12% per year, which speculators advise should not be overestimated and are unlikely to trend so high in the future once Kundratis economy stops regressing to its former mean. Economic strategist and investor, Bořek Haušild, recently during an interview gave insight to the situation;
"We are indeed at the moment experiencing astronomic growth in the economy, but this is expected considering this is not new growth but rather rebuilding what was lost. We believe however that the final GDP is likely to continue growing past the former 97 billion of the last decades albeit at a more standard rate, perhaps 3-5% optimally. What was formerly stagnant and even declining growth has been replaced with seeds that will continue sprout and grow for many years to come. I personally see great things for the future of the Kundrati economy as we begin expanding our goods and services from the formerly raw materials and military industrial complex of the last century."
The reconstruction of Industrial district Lirnak and Jildrath naval dockyards, which is being funded by Davostag and Selucia near completion as the 3 year mark for construction arrives. Hundreds of thousands were given good paying jobs and received vital work. The previous unemployment rate of 67% in the last 10 years has dropped to a staggering 30% as millions find new opportunities all over the nation from the huge influx of foreign investments. In a surprising statement Jozef Otčenáš announced he would be investing 1 billion converted riksdaler to kuno into the wages and expenses for the planned IDL/Jildrath goods orders to keep the businesses afloat until both Davostag and Selucia receive their promised goods, allowing the orders to be fulfilled on state funding until new orders arrive. Speculators were amiss where such a massive amount of money appeared in such a short period of time and it may be monies promised in the previous dealings.
In other news, former leader of the APPA, Arañotz Dindairu, was recently admitted into Lirnak mental institute for apparent insane faculties. Friends and loved ones reported his behavior had become extremely erratic and believed he was hearing voices inside his house as things moved on their own. Doctors prescribing him medication became convinced he was refusing to take them as blood tests showed no traces of the prescriptions, despite Dindairus claims he had been taking them daily to no effect. Dindairu over time became convinced he was being followed or haunted, and after throwing an insane tirade at a psychiatrists office and allegedly throwing a chair through the 2nd story window, was arrested and placed under state care until deemed sane for polite society. Many members of the APPA were aghast when interviewed in public, stating they just thought he was a quirky fellow and didn't think he could be mentally ill, though he is now in his early 70's and could potentially be becoming ill. The APPA has seen a severe downtrend in popularity polls as the average approval rating of 72% has dropped to 54% in just 2 months.

Terror attack on Luthorian army base in Jildrath, President urges calm as Fatherland Front stages protests against occupation.
Yesterday at 2:38 AM over 2 dozen individuals armed with assault rifles and explosives launched an attack on a Luthorian military installation in the night. The terrorists in question breached a hole in the parameter wall and began a sporadic gunfight with the staff as they awoke, resulting in the deaths of 7 Luthorian soldiers with more wounded, leaving 9 of the attackers slain as the rest fled. Searches for the culprits is underway as the local paramilitaries and police have begun questioning locals. Some of the bodies of the terrorists revealed fatherland front member pins and regalia. The FF party replied to this publicly stating, "We do not support violence in any way, but its become obvious the people are tired of the same warmongers who killed millions to continue to occupy our nation. Its high time they went home and stayed there, Kundrati can stand on its own two feet!" Speculators believe these attacks may be a reaction to the anti-luthorian sentiment harbored after the war, who actively sided with the rebels known for their bloodthirsty and barbaric behaviors during the conflict.Protests lead by many FF members and a sizeable contingent of NRP members has been happening in the capitol and around the country in the thousands, many chanting slogans like; "Occupiers go home!" and "The War criminals camp-out is over!"
President Otčenáš urged calm on public television giving a statement on the escelations;
"I urge people to refrain from violence, we have spend many years fostering a neutral and diplomatic regime and violence has no part in that. I understand and hear the voices of the people who want the occupation to end, but Luthori is not the only one here. I am going to begin making negotiations with all occupying forces now that the recovery period is nearing its end, Kundrati can govern and police itself now. We thank the powers who helped rebuild us from the Lazar regime, but now the time to go has arrived."
Analysts believe this may be only the first of repeated attacks and that it could potentially spread to other occupying forces if an agreement is not signed soon. More reports as they come.
