BREAKING NEWS: Military enters Yishelem
February 5642

Yishelem - We have just received this from our affiliate news office in Yishelem, the former capital of the dissolved Homeland State of Beiteynu; it looks like both infantry and mechanised divisions have entered the city's streets after multiple social media posts began surfacing 20 minutes ago with pictures of Merkava tanks thought to originate from the Medebir Nisrad (Haifbourg) near the Karkaari mountain line.

We have been unable to receive further reports as a city-wide blackout was implemented a few moments ago. Additionally, there has been no word from neither the Office of the Secretary of Yishelem nor any of the Yishelem Nisrad government agencies.

We can confirm that Himmelshtern, Tel Bira and Sholemberg had closed their borders to the Yishelem Nisrad a few hours prior to the incident.

Many seem to pinpoint to a coordinated operation by some of the rest of the city states.

Yishelem Crisis: Istalian Markets Hit
Submerged financial ties between Istalia and the former Beiteynu and Pontesi emerge as the source of the panic that has gripped the country over the past week

In the aftermath of February 5642: several individuals extradited to Luthori and Lourenne; Yeudi Monarch under house arrest
September 5642

Yishelem - What began as a sudden media blackout at the beginning of the year quickly turned out to be a continuous siege of Yishelem and its government agencies, still in place to this date; the result of a multi-city-state coordinated operation, months in the making. Several infantry and mechanised divisions from the Medebir Nisrad continue to reside within the city, maintaining multiple checkpoints and enforcing martial law.

After several press releases and statements from the Nisrads of Sholemberg, Medebir, Himmelshtern, Tel Bira and Rishon Le Hofesh, the decision to enact the operation was the result of multiple intelligence reports indicating that the Government of Yishelem was engaging in counter-intelligence, espionage and underground deals, "directly violating" provisos of both the Amudimim Accords and international law.

The Deputy Secretary of Himmelshtern's statement last week was especially indicative:

Quote:[...] Yishelem did not learn its lesson. [...]

It seems the entire thing started back when Egelion engaged with defence manufacturers originating from the Nisrad of Amshinov - which was curiously absent from the siege - on the procurement of ballistic missiles. The intelligence trail then led to recent public spats with the Empire of Ananto and Kalistan, Egelion's 6B CFR check landing in Xsampa, Luthori's military deployment to the Migrant's Pass and, rather curiously, Xsampa's search and rescue operation of a commercial cruise ship in the Vascanian Sea; after which Maria Kadiyot's trial in Metz-Leonid (?!) was announced.

Amidst ongoing extraditions since earlier this summer - following pressure both from Fort William and Kaliburg, as well as the ICJ in Lourenne - police investigators confirmed that, in the ensuing chaos on that February night, a series of coordinated home and office invasions occurred, leading to the murders of multiple members of the Kadiyot family.

Yishelem's governance currently remains with the Medebir Nisrad; unsurprisingly, the entire ordeal flared up conspiracy theories online.

"Payments continue as scheduled"; says Tel Bira
October 5642

Tel Bira, Adishut Nisrad - Tel Bira has been frantically attempting to assuage extensive concerns over potential rumours of Amudim defaulting on its debt obligations, after Istalian markets took a hit following the siege of Yishelem earlier this year.

Several officials have been meeting with premier financial institutions including Ashalon Bank BEIFG, as well as ambassadors from Luthori, Hutori, Lourenne and Aldegar as part of an ongoing effort to boost up investor confidence. "Payments continue as scheduled", stated the Secretary of Tel Bira earlier this morning; "including annual payments to Xsampa, regardless of the recent reparations cut from Egelion's 6B check".

Although liquidation issues were slightly alleviated due to extensive defence spending cuts, interest rates remain "over the top".

Concerns, however, continue to remain despite Amudim's ability to cover payments on interest rates - as debt creditors from Hutori and Luthori continue to "bark" over the Neset's continuously shrinking trade reach.

In an effort to detach its own market cap from Tel Bira's mainly financial services driven scope and boost up confidence in the Neset's trading heartbeat, Sholemberg inaugurated the Shalom Stock Exchange last Friday.

Upcoming summit in Tel Bira set to shine the spotlight on Ananto's unnoticed background footprint in global finance
January 5643

Tel Bira - Tel Bira has been dragging its feet since the climax of the conflict in Central Artania back in 5637, despite the enactment of a series of controversial monetary policies earlier that year, including but not limited to a 0% tax on capital gains.

A measure that failed to alleviate the dried up vaults of Canrillaise-Yeudi banking of the likes of Ashalon Bank BEIFG, Yishel Investment Group and Beishalom Group; institutions specialising in complex financial products and services for other banks which, despite terrible losses in Seleyan and Dovanian markets after the Hubris War with Lourenne, managed to weather multiple storms ever since, thanks to the Neset's reliance on the CFR.

However, things stopped looking so positive after even more devastating losses in Kundrati and the dissolution of the Homeland State of Beiteynu in 5608; coupled with the dwindling of Canrillaise banking activity, Amudim's terrible debt situation now reigns supreme over Neset finance.

Along with liquidity, it seems that confidence in Yeudi banking also dried up.

In an attempt to reverse the situation, Ashalon Bank BEIFG decided to turn the 200-year-old Keshef Expo in Tel Bira on its head: with Lourennais and Yeudi banking disappearing in the background, the time has come to shine the spotlight on new players in global finance.

A positive note appeared on the horizon - with the TBSE marking unexpected contrasting gains on closing bell on Friday - when the Kalistani Foreign Investment Bank and the Bank of Suldanor confirmed attendance in the upcoming summit.

ForIn Bank's stock jumped significantly yesterday, after multiple headlines remarked upon Ananto's "unnoticed and undervalued potential". Jacob Keshef, the GM of Keshef Associates - the largest hedge fund managing 1.2 trillions in financial assets from around the world - commented:

"Kalistan has done more for the Yeudi People in North Seleya than former Beiteynu ever did".

Political debate: Who will govern Amshinov?

With the elections coming closer the national televionstation Reshet Emunah has organised a debate between Elazar Ben Tzion of Am Segula and Amar Talmahof Or Veshelom, the 2 candidates for chancellor. The debate will hopefully give doubters the extra push to know for who to vote. The debate will be hosted by Zeva Breuer, a political journalist. They have made 3 questions where each politician can answer how they will, they all get one response and can't intervene between each other.

Elzar Ben Tzion (EZ), Am segula                                                               Zeva Breeuer ZB, Political journalist, Reshet Emunah                          Amar Talmah (AT), Or Veshelom
ZB: The region has been governed for quite a while by Or Veshelom, but for the next election a new party has risen to challenge the status quo, Am segula, a self proclaimed conservative party defending the yeudi rights for Amshinov and Terra. As we have seen in the campaign Or Veshelom campaigning for international peace and trade, to put Amshinov open to talk to Terra, we see Am Segula campaigning for security and economics. This debate is organised to give people a decent base to know on who to vote. I have 3 questions for each of the chairmans, they will respond without intervenience of each other. So Lets start.
Mr. Ben Tzion, Mr. Talmah — what does it mean to be a Yeudi citizen of Amshinov today, and should citizenship be tied to cultural or religious identity? Can a non-Yeudi ever be truly part of the Neset?"
AT: It is important to agknolewdge our culture and heritage, but this doesn't mean we need to make Amshinovs citizenship exclusive. Everyone who respects our culture and laws should be welcomed as it is an extra worker or knowledge or experience where Amshinov can benefit of. The old guard has destroyed our nation, repuation and Amshinov with it. It is tome for a new approach, one of peace, solidarity and diplomacy.
EZ: Looks with frowns towards Talmah... Our heritage and religion should be respected and worshipped. To be an Amshinov citizen should be already an honour, to be able to live and work in a region of the Holy land. Maybe migration could be a benefit, but citizenship is an honour dedicated to our people, to make it an exclusivity is to make it worthy of honouring it. We aren't against migration persee, but it should be legal and it should be a benefit to Amshinov, letting everyone in  counteracts that. International affairs should be about trade, let us not fall in the traps of Terra, where we decide and attack the souvereignity of a nation....
ZB: Next question: With trust in yeudi trading declining and yeudi banks weakened, how are both of youre parties handle the crisis?
EZ: We should make at least Amshinovs banks be trustworthy again, make an department that oversees the local banks, ensure buffers and see that everything goes legally. If that goes as planned, we should help all Yeudi's all over Terra by investing in their idea's to create their bussiness and slowly we will repair the trust in yeudi's.
AT: With international diplomacy and trade, it gives the oppurtunity to cooperate with other nations, find allies to our cause, wich opens other doors for Amshinov and Yeudi's. Regaining trust is slow process that is done by proving we are trustworthy.
ZB: With reports of crimerate going higher, how are each of you going to bring it back down?
AT: Misunderstanding and ignorance are big causes of those numbers,  Today a lot of people have no choice, they are free as some would say, but are they if they dont get the same choice as others? So by investing in education, making it so that everyone can get an education, that gives a choice and give everyone an equal oppurtunity to start their lives, it will automatically decrease crimerates. To be transparant gives information to the public with gives misinformation and misunderstanding no playroom, wich will decrease peoples frustration. We also know that their will always be a small percentage of crimes that has nothing to do with what i suggest, so investment in the police is also needed to make people feel safe again.
EZ: To stop illegal immigration is a stop to crimes. As they use routes where previous governments never worried about, because they didn't bother or didn't know it, wich implements that criminals also use them to smuggle drugs, weapons and humans. To end those routes, you hit 2 flies with one stone. So we would create an local guard, that will patrol those area's and could help the police with bigger actions. Investment in the police is also a must, it is a neglected department of our region. We would make it beneficial to join the police or the local arm... national guard. We would invest in facilities for the police and the national guard, invest in their training, wich would give room to specialised training. This will create a real safety.
ZB: Interesting dialogue's, with 2 very differant candidates, was it enough for the people to decide on who to vote for?
