As the Egelian Royal Armed Force continue a modern and effective transformation into a  lethal global fighting force, questions are being asked throughout the empire about regional security and how the empire fits into Egelion’s doctrine. To further enhance Egelion’s policy of imperial integration, High Councilor Formoselle y Castilla traveled to Portesti this weekend to speak to Nadiyan and Tripartite officials about the future of the empire’s security. When the Empire of Keris was created, the member nations agreed to keep a decentralized, loose command. No greater authority would seek to take over the sovereignty and policies of other nations. For this reason, no common currency would take place and no legislative body would be created to solve the issue of the empire. Economic, diplomatic and political cooperation would keep the empire together.

Yet, after the Kerisian War, the defense and military forces of both Nadiya and New Endralon came into question: would they continue to reform and build up? Or would they both establish a defense-based force? The meeting in Portesti with all members of the empire answered that question and outlined both doctrine and direction for the empire for the next generation. While Egelion remains the strongest military member of the empire, the meeting of Portesti clarified that Nadiya and New Endralon should begin to match, or at least reform to adapt to Egelion’s military standards.

In Portesti, the High Councilor stated that a massive reform program for New Endralon’s forces would be designed by Castillo Garibaldi and implemented immediately to bring the nation’s security into the modern age. Questions were raised about New Endralon’s doctrine and whether it would solely rely on defense based strategy. It was concluded that New Endralon would have a regular armed force, with doctrine modeling Egelion’s all-climate, supportive doctrine. New Endralon would have its own air, ground, support, and naval forces that would fall under its own leadership. New Endralon will have direct access to Egelian and Nadiyan made equipment to replenish their force. Members of the new Tripartitie Force will have mandatory training with Egelian personnel yearly and will have full access to Egelion’s equipment while procurement efforts are underway.

Budgeting concerns would be taken over by the Royal Treasury, the Egelian Investment Fund, and investor Villar y Zepeda for the Tripartite military turn around. Nadiya, who has now balanced their budget after years of significant economic reforms, has pledged to repurpose old Trigunian military designs for the benefit of the armed forces. Soon Egelian and Tripartite forces will have access to new tanks, vessels, fighter jets, and advanced aeronautics from old Trigunia—reworked and modernized to fit modern standards. The Nadiyan government is set to release further information regarding old design and technology once specifications on their side have been finalized. For the next 10 years, imperial integration efforts will focus on the modernization and consolidation of imperial forces. “The idea is for them to one day fight under one banner. Represent one banner and fight as one unit. We plan for them to be lethal and all-adapting in every climate. In Egelion, we take pride in our resolve, our adaptability, speed, and results. We hope to share that with the rest of the empire”, concluded the High Councilor.

As the conflict in New Verham continues, Royal Councilor Montalivet took the time to speak to the press at Castillo Garibaldi in Cartablanca regarding the progress of Egelian forces. According to the councilor, the Egelian air force has made much progress thanks to air superiority and is continuing strikes on violent militias. The international airport at Chulyo has been taken by Egelian Special Forces who were sent to the area. The airport will now be used as an official base of operations for humanitarian missions into the country. Direct flights of humanitarian aid from the Kerisian Empire, mostly Nadiya, are currently being flown to the country. With an established air base, humanitarian missions will now have more reach. Coupled with Egelian Air Supremacy, the aid is bound to encounter little trouble.

On the humanitarian issue, Montalivet claimed that it has sent a message to Wiel over the concerns of military use. Castillo Garibaldi claimed that instant military action was needed to help stabilize the country. Had Egelion not intervened at the time that it was necessary, the supply of humanitarian aid and democratic forces could have been hindered. Yet, Montalivet offered a branch of opportunity: since Wiel showed concerned over Altea's instant military action, they have offered to stand down militarily and let Wrnuke take leadership over the situation. This opportunity would showcase the strength of trust in the alliance and diminish all attitudes towards Egelion's aggressive stance. Regardles,, the civil war is in a fighting stage and many may die as a result from the muddy situation, including jelbic-ancestry individuals. Montalivet stated that they would wait to see if Wrnuke would like full leadership over the military side of the conflict, if not, Altea will see the job done.

After successful bombardments, missions and cooperation with international partners, the Egelian armed forces have had much success clearing new verhamese rebels from the country and pushing towards Chukyo. Taking Chukyo International Airport early on in the conflict made it easy for the country to receive humanitarian materials and for the Egelian Royal Marines to establish themselves in the country. With basing operations underway in Xsampa, the Egelian armed forces primed themselves to end the war quickly, giving the amount of cooperation from other nations.

Egelian Major General Sancho Del Toro, overseeing all Egelian operations in New Verham was quick to cite Wrnuke's laissez-faire leadership in the region a "missed opportunity" for a quick end to the war. With Egelian ground troops doing most of the heavy lifting in New Verham, the war has quickly come to a close. Now, as the deep winter season hits the nation hard, the field has suddenly become home-field advantage for Egelion who are experts in arctic conditions. The Egelian Royal Marines have joined the restorationists in a final push towards the capital Chukyo. Opposition is light, but fierce in the cpaital. As soon as combined forces secure the capital, talks to restore the country towards a democratic  future will begin. Already, the IDE has been asked to mediate and oversee the final peace, to which the Royal Councilor has obviously agreed to personally attend. Weeks remain between now and the end of the war, yet is unfortunate for rebels in New Verham to witness the snowfall as they prepare for a defense of the city. For wherever it snows, Egelion has the advantage.
