Today at noon, Emperor Leon Alexander officially declared and signed the new Constitution of the Kingdom of Egelion, bringing an end to absolutist rule in the country. The new constitution was under debate for several years as the Caillean People's Party brough several republican and socialist appeals to the negotiations, while the King and the Royal Council fought to keep several monarchist aspects in the new constitution. In the end, the Royal Council was able to negotiate favorable terms with the CPP, keeping some of the main monarchist terms in the deal. Throughout the entire process, His Majesty was open to the CCP's proposals and even meeting with community leaders to consider how a change in his influence would affect businesses and communities in the nation. The Emperor's overall approach and leadership gave him a strong position for negotiations. At the end of the day, while the Emperor's power has greatly diminished he still holds significant influence over the Egelian government.

Constitutional proceedings focused on two major things: the establishment of a true legislative process and the establishment of checks & balances. The overall changes were widely accepted between the CPP and House Montalivet. The Emperor would have three major powers: the ability to appoint members to the Royal Council, command over the armed forces, and the power to dissolve the Royal Court. The legislative branch of the Egelian government is now split onto two chambers: the upper Royal Council and the lower Royal Court. Each chamber now has different legislative powers that in turn, place checks on the judicial and on the monarch. The Royal Court is now responsible for the legislative future of Egelion instead of one person. Emperor Leon Alexander, from the beginning, told the press that the new constitution would be a new future for the country, one grounded in democracy and the voice of the people." He cleared the arguments or absolutism, stating: "those who do not prioritize their people are simply a totalitarian state."

Seven years since the announcement from Petroenglia over the Rossfadda, officials from Petróleón have announced that operations of extracting, refining, and exporting oil from the Rossfadda Formation has been an overwhelming success. The Egelian plan to invest in New Englia's oil production is rooted in academics, engineering and sustainable acquisition over time. Upon the announcement that Petróleón won one of the three bids, work immediately began in New Englia to ensure that the population of the country could responsibly and logistically create an extraction system that would directly bring investment and growth. While there have been no direct announcements over the progress of the Bianjian or Temanian projects, Petróleón has continued on its work to ensure that the billions of dollars invested are successfully applied.

Upon approval of the bid, the Real Academia of Egelion immediately began to create new curriculum for New Englia to apply in its national education system to ensure that a steady and stable engineering sector could be maintained. Because of the quick industrialization and extraction process, New Englia needed resources beyond large sums of money to ensure the Rossfadda Formation was effectively utilized. Investments in expertise and human knowledge were needed. The Real Academia spent an estimated 35 million Egelian Crowns to ensure that education and engineering opportunities in New Englia were well established while Petróleón focused on the infrastructure and extraction. Several college-level and secondary school courses were created in major cities, which were approved by the New Englian government as part of the bidding process. The first graduating class that engaged in these courses have now entered the work force in energy, signaling the start of New Englia's long-term, sustainable work force.

On the shipping side, Novantica has helped New Englia expand certain oil-specific ports in the nation to help with the flow of product abroad. Novantica has gracefully assisted Petroenglia with the creation of a new fleet of modern Egelian oil tankers - a necessary step in ensuring New Englia's ownership of the process without impeding on their sovereignty. Novantica has spent a total of 10 million Crowns in these separate ventures. However, as the oil continues to be exported, the company has reported a 24% increase in productivity and a 13% increase in export speed. Working on port expansions - and suitable tankers that can easily access the nation's facilities - has helped Petroenglia move towards a stable production rate. Overall, the team and oversight committee at  Petróleón are "overwhelmingly satisfied" with what they are calling the "megaproject" the company has taken on. New Englia and its people are set to benefit from these investments over the next few decades and assist the nation in developing their economic footing in the region.

With her family no longer in negotiations about the Egelian constitution, the Princess of Rozevia, Gabriela, decided to take an unannounced vacation to Gaduridos - a first for Egelian royals for several decades. In the late 5600s, during the age of the late Anantonese Empire, King Romulo purchased a large home for the Montalivet family in Cuernatecas, a small but simply elegant city in Gaduridos, for future generations to enjoy. Yet, during the reign of King Artemio, the house went largely unvisited with the family preferring to visit their estates in Lourenne. Now, with a new government in place and a lively community, the Princess of Rozevia has returned to Gaduridos to admire the old estate.

According to Gaduri press sources, the Princess arrived in Ciudad de Gadur over four days ago. She was not seen arriving at the airport, but speculations sat that she was on a "government vehicle" in the city. The princess allegedly visited a beach on the southern part of Marlingatos and then went north to Gadur once again. It is in the capital where the princess was spotted. She was seen inside a small coffee shop by three locals, who immediately recognized the princess and the security around her. By the time she left the shop and walk a few blocks, the Gaduri press was all around her - and my oh my did she impress the locals. The Princess was wearing a bespoke, white and gold Agalencia bouclé pantsuit - perfectly tailored with sharp lapels and signature gold-trimmed buttons—complemented by a delicate gold fleur-de-lis necklace a nod to her distant Canrillaise roots. The Princess of Rozevia took some time to speak and greet those who surrounded her. She appeared and posed for some photos, but once again disappeared into the crowded shops down the street.

Many in Gaduridos are asking several question: why is the princess here and why now? Many speculate that the princess is looking for "opportunity". Whether it is attending university in Gaduridos or promoting the royal family, the princess' intention are unclear. Some point to the rumor that she was seen in a state vehicle the day she supposedly arrived. Could she be in her own negotiations with the government, or is she being hosted? Regardless of her overall goals in the nation, the people in Gadur seemed to have given her a great reception and an open welcome to the nation. She portrayed the beauty and sophistication of House Montalivet to the crowd for all to see - and there were many eyes fixed on her after all. It is expected that she will head to Cuernatecas by the end of the week. Her surprise visit may as well end in a surprise for all of us.

After nearly 7 years of development and 2 years of delays, the Royal Directory of the Armed Forces announced the official deployment of the Western Armada - led by the newly constructed Triomfant Class Supercarrier. The Royal Directory held a press conference at Castillo Garibaldi to discuss details of the new Armada and is future mission now that it has been officially commissioned. Jesus Balart, High Marshall of the Royal Directory, stated that while there was a two year delay on construction, the effectiveness and stability of the fleet remains state-of-the-art and class leading on Terra. The two year delay was caused by "engineering concerns" on parts of the R.A.E Victoria Supercarrier. Some top engineers noticed some design flaws on the carrier's CATOBAR system and completely redesigned the flight deck of the carrier. The new armada is led by the aforementioned R.A.E Victoria, a new major supercarrier that was jointly built with the help of Xsampa's sublime manufacturing and construction sector. The R.A.E Victoria Carrier is joined by 4 Amateria Class Frigates, 3 Yadraz Class Destroyers, 2 Norderms Class Support Vessels, 2 Leon Class SIGNIT vessels, and the brand new Imperatriz Class Amphibious Assault Vessel. The carrier comes loaded with several of Egelion's leading fighters such as the multirole EC-99E Stealth Jet, and the Leonex LX-35 stealth fighter. The fighters are sorted by several marine helicopters and brand new aerial, early warning aircraft.

The new Western Armada comes at a time of relative global peace. Thanks to alliance structures such as the Altéa Accords, the regions that Egelion is able to provide military coverage to remain relatively stable. The Western Armada, now a part of Egelion's five fleet system, provide a new sense of security and diplomatic maneuvering. The Western Armada will now begin patrols from the northern Anantonese to the Southern Ocean. The Western Armada will not be alone however. The armada will be conducting joint patrols with the Dundorfian Meridian Task Force. The task force, given to Dundorf several centuries ago by Lourenne, will now gain experience under the Western Armada on several maritime tactics and procedures. Marshall Balart of the Royal Directory states that with the new Western Armada now in service, Egelion's Royal Armada now covers all of the waters surrounding Seleya, Western and Southern Dovani, and most of the entirety of the White Ocean. The only regions not covered by Egelion remain the Majatran Sea and the Red Bass Ocean. Yet, Balart reiterated that Egelion would not seek to cover these regions out of respect and trust for her allies in each respective area. The Royal Directory stated that military expenditures for the next decade would not need to be increased as the Royal Court discusses budget bills. "Egelion's armed forces -on land, sea, and air -are not only primed to take on any other military force in Terra, but to lead Terra towards a lasting peace "

After about two years of unofficial rumors and reports, Villamor Palace has announced that the Princess of Rozevia, first daughter of Emperor Leon Alexander, is officially engaged to King Victor Valcorico of Gaduridos - bringing a new relationship and future to the Anantonese Ocean region. The statement was released by the palace early this morning and included details of the Princess and King's relationship, which has gone largely private for the past two years. According to the statement, the Princess was asked to marry the king in Gaduridos last week at a private moment between both individuals.

This move does not surprise many royalist followers as the Princess was seen in Ciudad de Gadur before, visiting shops and connecting with the local community. It seems that for the Princess Gabriela, Gaduridos welcomed her with open arms even before speculation began about her potential relationship with King Valcorico. House Valcorico also released statement this morning in conjunction with Villamor, confirming the engagement. No social media posts are out as of now relating to the affair, but many say that the couple are "more private" and would prefer to keep related announcement along official lines. There is no word at this moment regarding a wedding ceremony in Gadur, but officials at both palaces say the invitations to the grand event may come out soon.

With the Prince of Amateria now busy and ready to take on the roles of a future emperor, his younger brother, the 20 year old Prince Fernando, has taken a new direction for himself and for the Royal Family. With many of the family's old privileges now under the power of the chambers of the Court, the royal family can now independently make changes across the country under the protection of the royal house. Such new endeavors include funding charities and community programs. yet, Prince Fernando is on track to become the country's greatest supporter of the arts, specifically the Royal Opera.

Yesterday afternoon, Prince Fernando visited the Royal Opera Hall in Altea during a mid season rehearsal for a re-run of Swan River. At the Royal Opera Hall, Prince Fernando spoke to several young and upcoming performers who looked to the Prince for wisdom on matters of adulthood and the expectations of society. The Prince provided counsel and spoke about the importance of being one's self within the broad and often strict standards society places on individuals. As a second son, Prince Fernando always waits on the outskirts of the royal lineage in case his elder brother falls out of line, yet he desires to live his life with passion - not shackled by the expectations thrown on him. The performers held a photo-op later with the prince in the main lobby, where he announced a new donation for the Royal Opera.

At the end of his visit, Prince Fernando announced a 10 million Crown investments into the Royal Opera and its associated partners directly from House Montalivet's personal treasury. The investment will be used for salaries, wages, new products, creating new material, stage crew equipment and community events. Prince Fernando spoke to the press before leaving the royal hall, focusing on his reasoning for funding the arts and his own position within the royal family. Many already draw parallels between the eloquence of His Highness and the nationalistic, sophomoric commentary from abroad:

Quote:It is my steadfast conviction that the privilege we bear and inherit are not rights to be hoarded, but sacred trusts bestowed upon us for the flourishing of our people. What value are our shared heritage and ancient traditions if they remain hollow relics, rather than living virtues realized within the realm? To what end is the vast fortune of my house if it is not poured out to nourish the very citizens who give it meaning? We as royals are duty bound to wield our influence and our resources directly to elevate the lives entrusted into our hands.

I have little appetite for the political maneuvering in our region, nor do I believe the sanctity of my position grants me license to cast judgement from afar upon other nations and how they rule their domains. I will not partake in the realm of international coercion nor to indulge in bitter, vindictive nationalism designed merely to elevate one's own standing.

Here within the border of Egelion, our true focus lies in the emotional, spiritual, and humanistic elevation of every soul. Our pursuit of genuine prosperity far outshines any fleeting desire to posture for global dominance or the illusion of regional superiority. That is simply not the spirit of Egelion, and I vow to you: we shall never surrender any of our dignity and submit to such privileged and hollow foreign endeavors.

With Egelian fiscal debt down for the fifth year in a row and signs of growing government projects thanks to the CPP's socialist policies, many in the Royal Court are beginning to bring up several large-scale projects that could transform Egelion within the next decade. The CPP, with support from the Royalist Party, have floated the idea of beginning a mass infrastructure project to address Egelion's road and train systems. While the Royalists agreed that the nation's road system as in need of repair, the CPP actively promoted developing green infrastructure to begin a small transition towards the use of green energy throughout the nation. Naturally the response from the Royal Court was mixed. Members of the Conservative Party and the Ghadrashi People's Party denied any major efforts into green energy citing that the "petrols sector could see major changes and reflect negatively on the Egelian economy." The more liberal Royalist Party was open to the idea, but shared the concerns that the Conservatives raised as far as "economic shocks" at a time when Egelian prosperity is in full force.

The CPP and the Speaker of the Court championed green energy, saying that King Amadeo's transformative plan for Altea back in 5593 serves as a platform for Egelion to begin a smooth transition to green energy. Altea, a city that relies on green energy for about 50% of its energy sector, is a positive example for the rest of the nation to follow. Speaker Mallagon says: "It is not impossible for us to follow a clear blueprint created by our King centuries ago. What matters now is having the individual determination to carry out this plan."  Among discussions at the Royal Court was the recent comments made by the Kalistani Chancellor regarding the future of green energy cooperation, which to most in Egelion and the region, quickly became green energy coercion. "What the Kalistani Chancellor - and their nationalists - forget is that it is this same attitude that keeps Kalistan in the backburner of every country in Terra. Why must we find out they are looking for solutions concerning green energy while being threatened by possible sanctions?", stated Speaker Mallagon. "The chancellor claims that they seek to avoid the creation of an demanding and insistent international organization, yet they are doing it themselves, demanding that others change overnight simply because they deem it just? Egelion would love to engage in such a forward-thinking plan to reduce the use of fossil fuels, but the rhetoric and diplomatic strategy engaged by the Chancellor and the nationalists will only lead Kalistan back into the status quo of being rightfully ignored." With the chamber in full agreement, the Speaker continued: "If Her Imperial Majesty is serious about the future she and her offspring so actively champion, then it must be completed without the opinions of the Chancellor or the nationalists in government."

Comments by the Speaker were followed by applause by most of the chamber. Interestingly, Royal Councilor Letizia Cascabel, in charge of most economic affairs within the nation, spoke out against the speech by the Speaker, saying that one must "not jump to accusations and skewing the perspective despite the Chancellor's very obvious anti-cooperative rhetoric". Cascabel claimed that while Egelion and its people would benefit from green energy cooperation, it is important to remain idealistically diplomatic, even if Kalistani diplomacy fails to show results. "Green cooperation is attractive", says Cascabel, "but attitudes are misleading". The Royal Court responded to the Royal Councilor with praise and an applause, showing yet again the ideological and strategic differences between the lower chamber and upper chamber of The Court. While debate continued in The Court over the future of green energy, there was no official vote or package to be discussed. The CPP and the Royalists are eyeing a potential coalition to begin discussing a major nationwide plan to introduce larger green energy project in Egelion- with the option of international cooperation with regional allies - while the Conservatives and the Gahadrashi's lobbied for their fossil fuel benefits..

Diplomats and political analysts in Altéa have been in and out of the IDE Palace following a press conference with recently appointed Royal Councilor Dra. Iris de Mondragon y Ferrer. As part of the Mondragon dynasty, the Royal Councilor is a well-versed political and diplomatic power figure specializing in all matters of international affairs. This afternoon she personally called the nation's press to give an official statement on behalf of His Majesty concerning the "coup d'état" in Xsampa. The Royal Councilor first took the opportunity to thank the governments of Valruzia and Bianjie for actively calling out the desecration of stability and democracy in the nation. The NDA and the military take over by the Custodian have been labelled as "official civil and national concerns" by the IDE and have placed Xsampa in a Level 3 travel advisory.

Royal Councilor Mondragon took questions from the press after her statement, which focused heavily on the Egelian response and what the kingdom would do to ensure that stability return. Mondragon's statement read:

Quote:The Kingdom of Egelion grossly rejects the suspension of democracy and the military coup d'état led by Dramuktsang and the NDA. The Dovanian region and the wider globe has seen prosperity and peace under the leadership of the CPX for centuries. The Kingdom of Egelion calls for the restoration of the PAX and all necessary democratic institutions to ensure that Xsampa restores its well-known stability."

Comments made by the Royal Councilor however were not mellow. Immediately after issuing the Egelian statement, she stated that she was in talks with the Royal Directory and the Royal Treasury to consider sanctions and an embargo on Xsampan goods as long as the NDA/Custodian remained in power. While the Altea-Nord Stock Exchange is already showing signs of shock from the situation, the Royal Councilor has stated that the Royal government is looking at ways to pressure Xsampa into democracy. "Yes, we believe that Xsampan democracy must be restored. We do not believe that a revolution based on the ideals of militarism and instability is the best course of action for the Xsampan people", stated Mondragon. "We consider all of our allies when making these decisions and we believe that a full sanction and embargo of the nation would be the bare minimum to pressure the NDA. The option for minor scale military efforts would be discussed, but we do not believe that it is necessary unless we achieve a full scale embargo."

The Royal Councilor stated that all diplomatic and internal avenues must be pursued before any escalation is agreed upon. The IDE has full confidence however that the Xsampan leaders would at least listen to reason and change before any major action is taken. "We understand that Xsampa has the sovereignty to do as they please, but we must set the tone here: "Xsampan democracy must be preserved or it will face consequences."
