Astoria K'alak'i, Stormereti - Hobrazias's slow return to normalcy following the tumultuous months of student protests has been recently disrupted. In a public speech in Astoria K'alak'i, one of the prominent members of the National Council of Youth Against Corruption, Mariami Mildiani, has announced the formation of the New Democratic Party. 
 
In her speech, Mildiani has rallied against the NUP but has also criticised the established Liberal Party and People's Socialist Party. According to the publicly distributed NDP manifesto, the party considers itself to be a progressive liberal movement, focused on representing younger and future generations. The main focus of the party will be the fight against corruption. The other priorities of the party are wealth equality, the environment, and minority rights. 
 
The reaction to this new development has been largely positive among the populace, as both young and old generally see them positively even if they might not vote for them, but negative among the more established parties. The NUP has denounced the party, calling it a "pet project of a few amateur students.". Liberals and People's Socialists have been generally sceptical but supportive of the new party. Plurinational Movement, which is also mainly driven by younger people, has openly supported the NDP.

As the nation prepares for the January 5625 elections, it is clear to every citizen that these elections might significantly reshape the political landscape of the country. The National Unity Party stands to lose the most, as it lacks allies among the parties. The divided ethnic parties and Hobrazian nationalists fear the meteoric rise of the Plurinational Movement. Meanwhile, many on the left warn of the growing popularity of the far-right movement One Nation.

The Vice-President of Hobrazia Tacəddin Cavadzadə visited the city of Muzal K'alak'i today to be the head of a very special ceremony. After a short delay it was finally time to open the newest university of Hobrazia: the Vasil Khimshiashvili Technical University. The President called for its establishment a little over five years ago, when he spoke as a guest at the academic conference in Astoria in April of 5683. This is where the leader spoke inspiring words of a 'great leap forwards' that would be propelled by 'the sharpest minds of the nation'. After this parliament was quick to vote for the magnificent proposal to expand upon education.

Originally, the President himself had promised to come to the inaugural day of the aptly-named university. A week ago he cancelled his visit, citing that his presence was required in the capital to head a special session on further education reforms. The cancellation of President Khimshiashvili marks a fifth public visit in a row to be cancelled, this can only mean the government is in the process of announcing great new policies to strengthen the already glorious nation.

Instead, the Vice-President was honoured to travel to Muzal K'alak'i and to precede over the ceremony. Professor Zakaria Dzhugashvili, the dean of the nation's newest and most modern university, welcomed Vice-President Cavadzadə. In turn, he gave an inspiring speech to the first batch of new students. He spoke of the great opportunity they were given, and the duty to the nation they all must fulfil. In the end he also called upon them to behave and be exemplary students, to serve as examples to the younger generations of Hobrazia, and to not misbehave like he did at school. The latter comment was welcomed with warm laughter by all.

13 October 5689 | The Leader of the Nation has responded with shock and disbelief to the horrible rumours being spread about his well-being. Foreign outlets are reporting that the Good President is near death and has been struggling with his health for over a year now. He is determined to show the world that in fact he is doing better than ever, and as such today spoke to News of the Day to give an exclusive interview with a sneak peek on his closely guarded new project. But first the President took some time to reflect on the last year and the seditious efforts by dangerous anti-state agents that seek to destroy Hobrazia from within. The President has asked all proud Hobrazians to remain steadfast. 'We are a clear-headed people, united in our struggle against the dangers of decadence and corruption, the evil forces will always gnaw at our edges, but a true Hobrazian shall never surrender to the malicious enemies of the state.' The office of the President has assumed that the campaign to paint the Leader of the Nation as frail to be an attempt to weaken the state and let foreign terrorists loose, so all citizens are asked to be vigilant and report suspicious activity to the state.

Luckily, as the President was found top fit in his office, the focus quickly shifted to his new project. Education has become the new obsession of the Good President in the last five years, and so far he has made good work of it. Vice-President Javdzadeh opened the proudly named Vasil Khimshiashvili Technical University in Muzal last year, the new university was a personal initiative from the Leader of the Nation to find new ways to improve Hobrazia. When asked on why the President was not there personally to open the university he laughed. 'It is my flaw to become immersed in my work, I work 18 hours a day and sometimes it is hard to adjust and go back to public outings, instead I prefer to keep working, to keep improving Hobrazia, to make every life better. I think missing a ceremony is a worthy sacrifice for the greater good.' The secret project of the President has also been education, but so far little details have been made public. Now however, the President was ready to reveal his upcoming reforms: 'I am working with many great minds and experts to reform all schooling across the nation, an improved curriculum, better connections from home to school, more nutritious meals for children, and better working conditions for teachers, after all the children are the future and the teachers build that future.' The tireless efforts of the Good President can only be applauded. At the end of the energetic interview the Leader of the Nation even posed for a picture behind his desk, with his new complexion showing that he is indeed the healthiest he has ever been.
