RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 26-10-2025 Satta Scandal: Minister Secretary of State Moccia takes the stand
Between condemnation, reassurances and concrete measures, the Head of Government tries to stem the political cyclone while new UOD leader calls for his resignation and internal perceptions of surprise and caution circulate within the Greens' Movement
July 5682 (OOC: backdated)
ROMULA - The scandal surrounding Barbara Satta, which in recent months has engulfed politicians, local administrators and even Grand Prince Nicola of the Imperial House, continues to rock Istalia, with an unprecedented impact on the credibility of its institutions. The investigations, searches and in-depth investigations conducted by prosecutors over the late summer and early autumn, have revealed a network of contacts spanning all levels of power, from national politics to local councils, the jet set and the financial elite. The media coverage of the scandal has placed unprecedented pressure on the government and the parliamentary majority, while public opinion demands immediate and concrete responses. In this context, Minister Secretary of State Fabrizio Moccia, with the next elections that are rapidly approaching, and the pools are punishing the majority and especially the PSD, decided to speak publicly late this morning before the press at Antinori Palace, to clarify the government's position and offer reassurances to citizens. Before reading the official statement, the Minister gave a brief introduction, emphasizing the gravity of the events and the utmost attention the government intends to devote to public morality and institutional transparency. Quote:What has emerged in recent weeks has profoundly shocked our nation. We are faced with an episode of immorality and illegality that cannot be ignored and requires the strongest condemnation. And as Head of Government and leader of the Majority, first of all, I want to publicly condemn the involved members of the Government, of the Majority and, especially, of my own Party: their behavior betrays the trust of every Istalian citizen who believes in the integrity, commitment and responsibility of their representatives. Despite the Minister Secretary's detailed and media-savvy speech, the opposition immediately reacted harshly. The new leader of the Hosian Democratic Union, Francesca Pizzi, elected just two weeks ago when also the former leader has been involved by the investigations, causing so much scandal that the party turned definitively in a blink to the most traditionally wing, denounced the government's incompetent management, accusing the left of having fostered a moral and cultural degeneration of the political class over the past decades and unequivocally calling for the Secretary of State's resignation and, with electoral tones, calling for a radical change of course, stating that Istalia should embrace once again the values and principles of the Istalian tradition. Quote:The Satta scandal is not an isolated incident, nor a simple stumble in the long history of our nation. It is the most obvious symptom of a profound illness, a moral degeneration that has corroded the foundations of our society. For years, the left, aided by weak and relativistic thinking, has sown the poison of confusion, denying the existence of Good and Evil, undermining what for centuries has given order, meaning and beauty to our collective life. Within the majority too, however, internal rumors circulated suggesting that the Greens' Movement was not entirely surprised by the possibility of Moccia's resignation or other drastic measures. In particular, the leader Marina Cantalamessa was reportedly somewhat perplexed by the situation, while continuing to publicly display solidarity with the government and its allies. These are private perceptions, never made official, circulating only in the corridors and internal circles of the party, confirming the political caution required at this delicate stage and the will to compact the majority to face the July elections. Minister Secretary Moccia's speech, while elegant and well-rehearsed for the media, appears to be an attempt to stem the political turmoil, reassure citizens and defend the majority's image now that the elections are so close. However, public pressure and calls for resignation demonstrate that the crisis remains far from resolved. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 26-10-2025 Moccia announces measures to combat moral decay: the UOD, now leading the opposition with the charisma of the traditionalist Francesca Pizzi, responds harshly
Transparency, ethics monitoring and mandatory training: government initiatives to address the Satta scandal fail to convince the opposition which calls for Moccia dimission
August 5682 (OOC:backdated)
ROMULA - Minister Secretary of State Fabrizio Moccia in person yesterday presented a series of measures aimed at combating the perceived moral decay that has engulfed Istalian politics and society following the scandal surrounding Barbara Satta's arrest. In a solemn address to the press and institutional representatives, Moccia announced concrete measures to strengthen the transparency and accountability of public officials, improve ethical monitoring and promote a culture of legality and respect. Among the main measures announced:
Despite the comprehensive nature of the measures, the opposition, now firmly led by the Hosian Democratic Union, has reacted extremely harshly. The UOD Secretary, Francesca Pizzi, now became the veritable voice of the Istalia outraged by the scandal, has called the initiatives "stopgap measures", incapable of resolving the moral and political crisis affecting the country. According to Pizzi, Moccia is limiting himself to promising oversight and training while continuing to cling to his seat, ignoring the need for real change after more than fifteen years in government. "After more than 15 years, we need to turn the page", declared the Pizzi, emphasizing how the long tenure in power has contributed to a climate of permissiveness and lack of vigilance. This renowed and more traditionalist UOD, that is rapidly growing in the pools, also noted that the Greens' Movement within the majority had expected more decisive action, but did not publicly disclose these perceptions, showing the same interest in just keeping the power, especially now that the country is in full electoral campaign. The opposition, where only the UOD seems able to react to the scandal thanks to the charisma of Francesca Pizzi, with both PNL and D&L heavily crippled by the investigations, and despite the scandal reached the previous leadership, accuses Moccia of attempting to overturn the narrative, focusing on the responsibility of the elite and the private fortunes implicated in the scandal. For Pizzi, this is not enough: the moral crisis, reiterate the party, is the result of years of political and cultural management by the left and requires a gesture of personal responsibility from the Head of Government, namely resignation. The political debate remains heated: on one side, a government promising concrete measures and preventive interventions, on the other, an opposition now lead by a deeply traditionalist Hosiandemocratic party and contesting the legitimacy and effectiveness of the initiatives and continuing to demand a radical change in leadership. Meanwhile, public opinion, who is proving to be more attracted by the UOD's narrative than was previously thought, is ready to show the veritable reaction of the country to the scandal at the incoming elections of July. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 27-10-2025 Between widespread respect and recognition from the entire political world, Moccia announces his departure
The Greens strengthen their position: Moccia's decision paves the way for Marina Cantalamessa to become the new beacon of the progressive coalition
October 5682 (OOC: backdated)
ROMULA - After weeks of growing political incertitude, in a not entirely unexpected statement, this moorning Minister Secretary of State Fabrizio Moccia announced that he will not seek reappointment in any office within the Democratic Socialist Party (PSD), thus renouncing any possibility of leading the government again. Convening the press to Antinori Palace, the Minister Secretary addressed the country directly, with an institutional speech but that also revealed his personal emotion: Quote:Citizens of Istalia, According to Moccia himself, the decision is motivated by the awareness that the time has come for a generational change, entrusting the reins of the party and, consequently, the government to a younger leadership capable of better interpreting the needs of citizens and the country. But the political context has certainly accelerated the decision: with the PSD declining sharply in the polls and under pressure from its Green allies, who were largely spared the Satta scandal and have seen their moral and electoral standing strengthened, Moccia's decision now appears inevitable. Political commentary was forthcoming: from across the political spectrum, it was a mix of respect and widespread praise, regardless of ideological differences, certainly a unanimous acknowledgement of Moccia's dedication to the country. From the left and the Alliance of Change coalition comes comments in epic and celebratory tones, especially from Marina Cantalamessa's Greens, that effectively have taken the leadership of the Alliance, and who seized the opportunity to highlight the positive results of progressive leadership now that the country is in full electoral campaign, doing even better than the PSD itself in compating the Alliance around the Moccia's legacy. Moccia is being portrayed as a bastion of dedication and stability, capable of guiding the coalition and the government for twenty successful years, and in some way even through the chaos generated by the scandal, responding with seriousness and dedication, while also ensuring the cohesion of the center-left coalition. Even with a struggling PSD, the narrative of the Greens for the Alliance for Change aims to transform Moccia's departure into a moment of virtuous continuity, strengthening the coalition's image and paving the way for the new leadership that will take his place, with Marina Cantalamessa poised to emerge as the key figure for the next legislature. Beyond the shadow of the Satta scandal that struck the country during his last government, Fabrizio Moccia leaves an indelible mark on the memory of the Istalian history. His political vision has proven extraordinarily incisive: under his leadership, the country has undergone radical transformations in numerous areas, from economic and financial management to the modernization of institutions, including the promotion of innovative social policies and the protection of citizens' well-being. His legacy is not only political, but also cultural and moral, capable of establishing Istalia on a path of sustainable development and solidarity that will remain a benchmark for future generations. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 27-10-2025 Election 5683: The Greens lead the progressive coalition and save the Alliance of Change from the Satta Scandal's earthquake
The Greens' preponderance is clearly evident, PSD and PNC lost ground, the UOD-led opposition is growing on more traditionalist positions but remains reduced due to the crippled PNL and D&L

January 5683
ROMULA - The 5683 elections marked a veritable political earthquake for the Imperial State of Istalia, still reeling from the effects of the Satta Scandal. The progressive coalition of the Alliance of Change, which had dominated the political scene for the last twenty years, saw its influence diminished: the new majority holds 253 out of 475 seats, with the Greens' Movement (MdV) as largest party in the coalition, while the Democratic Socialist Party (PSD) and Party of New Communists (PNC) suffered significant losses. A well-known political analyst commented: Quote:The scandal has profoundly shaken voter confidence. If the Greens had not led the campaign decisively, the progressive coalition would have suffered much greater losses. The final results of the July 5683 elections are as follows: Quote:Total seats: 475, majority seats: 238 The Satta scandal completely shook the national political balance. The PSD and the PNC saw their support rapidly erode, directly impacting the stability of the coalition. The Greens, lead by an increasingly charismatic Marina Cantalamessa, eventualy dominated the electoral campaign, successfully restoring the coalition's reputation, emphasizing the successes of the long progressive era: social stability, green innovation and sustainable growth. However, it should be noted that the Greens narroly failed to convince the majority of the civilian electorate, which, thanks also to electoral mechanisms, saw more civilian seats won by the UOD, while it was the support of the Armed Forces that guaranteed more seats to MdV, who were decidedly more convinced by the Greens' economic proposals, with the right focusing its campaign mainly on the scandal. On the other hand, the right wing saw numerical growth, but with increasingly conservative and traditionalist leanings, riding the wave of scandal as said, criticizing the previous ideological government's management, but also it's economic management, painted as incapable of generating truly autonomous and dynamic growth. Voters who pay attention to economic policies, and among them the military, as mentioned, however, did not fully embrace this stance, and if the results show some signs of fatigue towards the progressive econimic leadership, the right's economic proposal didn't convinced like their conservative social view. Thus, in this context, Marina Cantalamessa emerged as the new soul of the left. During the election campaign, she successfully proposed concrete programs and a structured vision, anticipating tools and objectives that would resonate with voters and reinvigorate the coalition. When the results were sure, into the Alliance of Change headquarters, decorated with the coalition's orange and the MdV's green colors, Cantalamessa commented the victory before the supporters gathered there: Quote:The Greens' victory is not just an electoral success, it is a clear signal that the country wants a left that combines concreteness, vision and respect for progressive principles, without being overwhelmed by the scandals of the past. With this result, Cantalamessa is now ready to lead a new left Green-led Government, supported by the PSD and PNC, with clear goals aimed to consolidate political and social stability and propose ambitious measures for growth, but also new measure to protect future generations and the "soul" of the country, as well as another goal by Cantalamessa that had a strong impact on the electorate, especially among the military, namely the strengthening of Istalia's diplomatic and economic international standing. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 27-10-2025 The new Green-led Government takes the oath before the Emperor
Marina Cantalamessa announces to the press the cornerstones of her Ministry: "Stability, social justice, green innovation and international cooperation, with the Istalian Lira at the center of a new era of trust and prosperity"
![]() February 5683
ROMULA - In the solemn setting of Quattroregni Palace, the new Minister Imperial Secretary of State Marina Cantalamessa officially took the oath of office before His Majesty Emperor Tommaso V alongside her Government team, assuming leadership of the government following the vote of confidence expressed by Congress. Yesterday's ceremony officially marks the beginning of a new political phase for the country, that of the first Green-led government in Imperial State's history (and historians can hardly recall whetger there has ever been a government led by a green party in Istalian history) supported by the Alliance of Change, the more than twenty-years old coalition that led the country for the last 4 legislature that included Social Democrats, Green and the New Communists, but now with the previous indisputed PSD leadership replaced by the one of the Greens' Movement. The new government presents itself as a model of renewal and openness: more attentive to markets and global dynamics, but firmly anchored in the principles of social justice, equity and solidarity. A balance that, according to Cantalamessa herself, "will demonstrate that the economy and environmental awareness can not only coexist, but thrive together". The inauguration of the new leadership was greeted enthusiastically by financial markets: the Romula's RISE composite index recorded a significant increase in the first hours following the announcement, while the Imperial Lira strengthened on international markets. According to analysts, the more liberal and technocratic component of the Greens, which gained ground within the coalition after the last elections, sent a signal to the markets of prudent, modern and stability-oriented management, but also ethical and moral, considering that the Greens were the party less affected by the Satta Scandal, their members today view as the embodiment of seriusness and legality on the political stage. Cantalamessa, considered a figure balancing environmental rigor with reformist economic sensibilities, assured that "the new government season will consolidate the achievements of previous progressive executives, promoting virtuosity and solidarity always, more, caring for free enterprise and the dynamism of the Istalian markets". During her first official speech after being sworn in, the Minister Secretary of State focused in outlining the new government's economic plan, which focuses on the international promotion of the Istalian Lira and the integration of green policies with the most advanced tools of global finance. Quote:Istalia should be proud of the solidity of its economy and the maturity of its financial system. The Imperial Lira is already a strong currency, a symbol of stability and responsibility. Our task will be to further strengthen its credibility and attractiveness, linking it to the green transition in order to promote an opportunity for development and prosperity for all. According to government sources, the plan includes strengthening independence of monetary policy, further tools for the already well estalished responsible debt management of the country, and an advanced green finance system capable of attracting international capital and supporting industrial modernization and conversion. On the foreign front, the Government will focus on increasing the presence of Istalia on international stage through new international and supernational agreements, and also on increasing the presence of the Istalian Lira in global trade and financial flows through targeted promotional instruments linked to green and social economy. In her speech, the new Prime Minister emphasized the moral and civic value of the new strategy: Quote:Our economic and environmental policies are designed to increase the well-being of Istalians, ensure market stability and promote a sustainable development model that respects the planet and its inhabitants. The Imperial Lira will not only can be a currency of exchange, but a symbol of the trust and responsibility that Istalia intends to offer the world. Words that embody the spirit of the new course: a "green" economic internationalism, aimed at strengthening Istalian reputation and economic scope while respecting the principles of solidarity and global justice. Cantalamessa finally acknowledged the achievements of previous progressive governments, reserving praise and words of affection for the former Minister Secretary of State Fabrizio Moccia, described by Cantalamessa without hesitation as the most influential head of government in the history of the Imperial State and one of the greatest statesmen in the history of Istalia, who over almost two decades have consolidated Istalia's reputation as a reliable and socially responsible economy, increased the prosperity and well being of Istalians and its reputation internationally, promoted the evolution of a fair and cohesive society, increasing opportunities as well as protection for our citizens. Quote:The policies of this responsible left, that clearly showed its sensibility towards the reality of the world and that was able to balance its principles and values with a modern and pragmatic approach, have built solid foundations. Today we are building on that legacy to go further: integrating sustainability with competitiveness, solidarity with innovation, economic progress with respect for future generations. With these words, the new Minister Secretary of State officially gave further hints of what many observers already expect to be the most ambitious plan in the recent economic history of the Imperial State, which recalls and seems to want to claim the legecy of the great season of reforms initiated at the start of the Moccia governments, a phase that promises to be more liberal and market-focused compared to the PSD-led governments, but always deeply rooted in the social and moral values that define the tradition of the Istalian left and of the Alliance of Change. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 27-10-2025 Prince Nicola stripped of all titles: the Emperor delivers a solemn warning to the Nation
The Imperial Household acts "to preserve the dignity and sacredness of the Imperial Institution" and the Emperor firmly recalls the moral duties of the Crown and all the servants of the State
March 5683
ROMULA - The decision was made official with a statement issued by Quattroregni Palace yesterday afternoon: His Imperial Highness the Imperial Grand Prince Nicola, younger brother of the Emperor, was stripped of all noble and dynastic titles, removed from the line of succession and banned from any position, honorary or operational, linked to the Imperial House or the State. The statement also confirmed that the now ex-Prince has been excluded from the High Council of the Imperial Crown and is permanently banned from taking on roles of an institutional, political or diplomatic nature, even as an informal representative of the Crown or the State. Insistent rumors indicate that the Emperor himself "strongly invited" his brother not to accept positions in private bodies or foundations, nor positions of visibility in companies or organizations connected to the national economic network. To Nicola Appiano-Solari, so he must now be called, would have been offered a minor position in a foreign company in the private portfolio of the Imperial House, a position that appears more symbolic than substantial, but useful to establish a definitive separation from the Istalian public life. The measure comes at the end of months of speculation linked to the Satta Scandal, that had overwhelmed Prince Nicola due to the contacts and relationships he had with Barbara Satta, the "Lady of the night" at the center of the affair. The investigations, however, did not lead to any formal charges against the Prince: the investigators ascertained that Satta acted as a mere intermediary between the Prince and some women, mostly professionals in the sector, who ruled out any coercion. However, the financial judiciary is now apparently evaluating possible tax violations relating to untraceable payments, a non-criminal crime but still severely sanctioned by Istalian regulations, which have rigidly regulated the legal sex market for years, guaranteeing protection and transparency to operators. In the official statement, the Imperial House justified the decision as "necessary to preserve the dignity of the sacredness of the Imperial Institution and the honor of the Istalian people". The Emperor personally signed the decree of dismissal, attaching a declaration wrote of his own hand which reflects the moral and symbolic weight of the choice. Quote: The event marks one of the most difficult moments in the recent history of the Appiano-Solari dynasty, but also one of the most emblematic of Emperor Tommaso V's desire to reaffirm the ethical value of the Imperial Institution as the foundation of national cohesion and popular trust, a message that is not only addressed to the Crown, but clearly also to the rest of the Institutions and to all servants of the State. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 28-10-2025 Salvo De Luca: the "Feranese Blues" conquering Istalia
From the streets of Gelamia to the FOMAT stage: the rise of an authentic voice
![]() . October 5683
ROMULA - Some say his guitar playing still echoes the humid nights of the "Di Porto" neighborhood of Gelamia, amid the noise of the alleys and the scent of the sea. Salvo De Luca, 37, hailing from those very streets where the blues mingled with the Feranese language and the city's popular pulse, is now the name on everyone's lips. With a warm, captivating and melancholic voice, De Luca has brought "Feranese Blues" to the forefront, a musical movement that until recently existed only in the small bars of Gelamia and in independent musicians' circles. Today, however, his songs resonate everywhere: from national radio stations to digital platforms, even on the stage of the Festival della Musica Istaliana, where he triumphed with "Sai che mi piaci", an intense and passionate pop/blues ballad that intertwines love and solitude with the warmth of its land, transforming into a hymn to authenticity and the roots of Ferano. These sounds are certainly distant from current mainstream music, but they strike a deep chord: "Sai che mi piaci" won over audiences with its smooth rhythm and lyrics, giving rise to a new and authentic musical language. This isn't the first time De Luca has touched people with the words of his homeland: songs like "I' nun vogl'ji" "Yes I Know My Way (ma tu nun puo' venì)" and "Non mi deve condannare!" are already considered classics of his repertoire. Thanks to this success, SERIN (Società Emissioni Radiotelevisive Istaliane Nazionali), the Istalian Music Festival's organizer, has selected Salvo De Luca as the official representative of Istalia at the 41st edition of FOMAT, the most important international music competition, which will be held in Nowogard, the capital of Valruzia. Salvo will perform precisaly "Sai che mi piaci". A historic achievement for an artist who began his career on the streets of Di Porto neighborhood. "I will bring with me my language, my people, and my music", De Luca declared emotionally during the press conference, then adding in Feranese: “Nun m’ scurdarrò maje ’e ’ndo vegno" (I will never forget where I come from). Critics and fans agree: Salvo De Luca's Feranese blues has something unique, a balance of pain and hope, anger and poetry. Perhaps it is precisely this authenticity that explains how, from a small club in Gelamia, a boy with a guitar managed to conquer the whole of Istalia and now prepares to make his people's voice known to the world. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 29-10-2025 Cantalamessa outlines the new economic course: "A strong Lira for a solid, sustainable and just future"
With a press conference at Antinori Palace, the new Minister Secretary of State Marina Cantalamessa outlines the Green-led progressive's economic program, aiming to strengthen market stability, promote sustainability and consolidate the Istalian economy's international role
.
December 5684
ROMULA - In a room packed with national and international journalists, the new Imperial Secretary of State, Marina Cantalamessa, gave an official press conference detailing the economic plan that will guide the government's actions in the coming years. After weeks of anticipation and favorable market comments, Cantalamessa confirmed the government's plans for Istalia's economic policy, combining financial stability, green innovation and social justice. Quote:Istalia has already demonstrated its ability to be a stable, competitive and socially just economic power, supported by a stable political and institutional system based on the rule of law, fairness, historical continuity and strategic vision. Now is the time to consolidate this reputation and take a further step: making our economy a model of sustainable prosperity, founded on citizen trust and respect for the planet. The program, the result of the work laid down by Cantalamessa and Giorgio Donati, renowned eco-economist and one of the most respected members of the Greens' Movement, and developed in these months by the an intense collaboration between the Ministries of Economy, National Industry and Trade, of the Energy and Strategic Resources, and of Finance, focuses on three main pillars:
Quote:The solidity of the Lira will be key to ensuring trust, attracting investment and protecting households' purchasing power.
Quote:It's not enough to talk about a green economy, we need modern public finances that reward those who invest in the future, enable innovation and simultaneously strengthen the country's social fabric. Finance can and must be an ally at the service of environmental justice, equity and shared growth.
Minister Secretary Cantalamessa clarified that the government's program is not a set of isolated measures, but a veritable ten-year development plan, structured into progressive and coherent phases, designed to ensure continuity and solidity over the long term. Quote:This is not just a legislative project, but a vision for the entire next generation. We have a duty to look beyond the immediate horizon and build the foundations today for an economy that will remain strong, fair and sustainable for decades to come. In presenting the program, the Minister Secretary outlined the key phases and measures that the plan will be structured into, based on the announced pillars: Phase I - Foundations (first two years)
Phase II - Integrated Growth (years 3-6)
Phase III - International Outreach (Years 7-10)
Cantalamessa repeatedly emphasized that each measure in the plan has been "designed in compliance with the principles of social justice, equity and solidarity that are the foundations of the Alliance of Change", to prevent market stability from coming at the expense of the most vulnerable categories. Quote:A currency is only as strong as the people who use it. Trust arises from fair institutions, transparent markets and citizens who feel part of a common project, all factors that consolidate the stability and continuity of the nation, representing a guarantee of solidity, integrity and long-term vision. Finally, the Prime Minister profited to thank the National Congress for its confidence in her government, reiterating that: Quote:The solidity and unity of the Alliance for Change and its constant pursue for innovation will lead once again a new era of reform for Istalia and a renowed era for the progressive front. The meeting concluded with numerous questions from the press, especially international ones, showing the inevitable growing attention that the global financial community is now paying to Romula and its new political direction. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 29-10-2025 "A new era for Majatran-Artanian relations": the economic and trade agreement between Istalia and the 3rd Point Federation was signed in Bannerhafen
Historic meeting between Emperor Tommaso V and President Schuhbecks: "Peace, stability and prosperity are the true shared goals"
.
February 5684
BANNERHAFEN - In a solemn atmosphere, the official signing ceremony of the economic and trade agreement between the Imperial State of Istalia and the 3rd Point Federation took place in the capital of the Narikaton & Darnussia, Bannerhafen. In the presence of His Imperial Majesty Tommaso V, Minister Secretary of State Marina Cantalamessa and Minister of Foreign Affairs Luciano Pardi, the Istalian delegation met with President Annemarieke Schuhbecks and the Foreign Minister of Narikaton & Darnussia and 3PF Peter Halbzahm, officially concluding negotiations that, after years of contacts, dialogue and intense technical discussions, have paved the way for what many international commentators are already calling "a new era of cooperation and stability in Majatran-Artanian relations". The "Cooperation, Free Trade and Investment Agreement" between Istalia and the 3rd Point Federation, of which Narikaton & Darnussia represent the most preminent member, represents a decisive step towards economic cooperation and mutual trust between them. The treaty provides for the elimination of tariffs on retail goods sold to consumers in the other country and the introduction of a 3.5% cap on wholesale commercial goods. This threshold will gradually decrease to zero upon reaching certain trade volumes, thus further incentivizing bilateral trade flows. The only exceptions are certain strategic materials and goods, listed in a specific but updateable list, for which a 0% duty will apply, but with more stringent control and authorization procedures regarding their use and common purposes deemed to be of strategic interest to both parties. The agreement also introduces harmonized customs cooperation and excise duties, with the aim of streamlining customs clearance procedures, facilitating the transit of goods and simplifying required documentation, applying similar criteria to the free movement of capital. Regarding private investment, the treaty establishes guarantees of fair and transparent treatment, protection against arbitrary expropriation, free transferability of capital, and investment security. It also provides for information exchanges and joint market studies to maximize the opportunities offered by the new cooperation framework. Particularly relevant for the Istalian side was the inclusion of a tax chapter, the result of intense mediation by the delegation led by the Treasury and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It introduces measures against double taxation and, above all, joint instruments to combat international tax evasion and avoidance, a topic on which Romula has always insisted with particular determination in all its negotiations with other countries. The Istalian delegation, meeting the press, didn't hide that fact that it views this agreement not only as an important bilateral achievement, but also as a potential bridge to broader regional cooperation. Romula hopes that this first treaty with the 3rd Point Federation will represent the starting point for an increase in relations also with the SOMECO, with the ambitious goal of creating a vast, solid and dynamic economic area in the south of the world. An area where trade, investment and productive cooperation can become instruments of peace, prosperity and stability, strengthening ties between nations and laying the foundations for a new era of shared balance and development. During the joint speech delivered following the signing, His Majesty Tommaso V emphasized the need to look to the future with a constructive spirit: Quote:History can divide us or teach us. We choose to learn. The good for our nations comes from the ability of its peoples to dialogue, trade and cooperate with mutual respect. Only in this way can we ensure lasting peace, stability and prosperity for our citizens. President Schuhbecks, for her part, emphasized that: Quote:The agreement with Istalia is not merely economic, but profoundly political and symbolic: it marks the end of a century of mistrust and the beginning of a partnership based on trust. According to the Crown spokesperson, Emperor Tommaso personally supported and encouraged the start of negotiations, considering them "a duty to the stability of the continent". The Imperial House, in previous statements, had already emphasized that the rapprochement with the 3PF is not a simple diplomatic choice, but an act of national maturity as well as of unity between the Crown and the Government in defining Istalian foreign policy. Despite the positive atmosphere surrounding the visit, polls conducted in both countries show that deep-rooted mistrust still persists, a legacy of a long history of frostiness and suspicion. However, the two governments' determination to turn the page appears firm, and the shared hope is that the new economic framework can soon become a driver of mutual trust and regional stability. In Istalia, furthermore, part of the public debate is also focused on the events rocking Amudim, where Yeudi nationalist movements are fueling unrest and independence claims in the territories of the former state of Beiteynu. The fall of Sholemberg and the tensions in the area under Xsampan administration are causing considerable concern in Istalia, given that the Triad Republic today extend its sovereignty over more than half of Amudim, territory on which lies also the enclave of the city-state of Tel Bira, a major world financial center and the one of the Bankaut system. Foreign Ministry sources have stated that the issue was not addressed during the official visit, given the sensitivity of the moment, but that Istalia is closely monitoring the evolution of the situation and remains ready to cooperate with regional partners to preserve peace and order in the area. RE: Istalia - XanderOne - 29-10-2025 "Gli Echi del Dominio": the publishing phenomenon that brought Istalian science fiction back to the stars
From online publications to major publishing houses, young author Elio Manfredi captivates audiences and critics with a powerful space opera that catapults us into the "Terran Universe" through an visionary interstellar epopee
![]() .
February 5684
In just four months since its release, "Gli Echi del Dominio" (Echoes of Dominion) has climbed the bestseller lists in bookstores and digital platforms, establishing itself as the publishing sensation of the year. The novel by Elio Manfredi, a young but already prolific author, has captivated audiences and critics alike with its ambitious space opera set in a distant future, where Terra is the heart of a vast Terran Empire, the hegemonic power of a Confederation born from the ashes of centuries of interstellar wars. For years, Manfredi had cultivated his vision of a complex and multilayered human future online, building a narrative universe already dubbed the "Terran Universe" by his numerous online fans. Hundreds of more or less short stories, published on blogs and social media, in fact, had already attracted a growing following, until Rivoli Editore proposed to the author to transform that creative legacy into a veritable novel. The result is a choral work, both epic and profoundly human, which takes the reader to the heart of an interstellar civilization at the height of its splendor and on the brink of its ruin. In the world of Gli Echi del Dominio, Terra has ruled a vast interstellar realm for centuries, yet the glory of the Terran Empire rests on a fragile balance. After nearly three hundred years of relentless expansion, driven by colonization and countless wars fought first in defense, then for conquest and ultimately to assert human supremacy, the Empire’s history had unfolded amid the constant and striking contrast between the domestic democratic and almost utopian society and an aggressive, expansionist policy abroad. A century before the events narrated, the Empire was reshaped by a season of reform that led to the foundation of the Confederation of the Terran Empire, a federal entity where the numerous subjugated alien species have finally achieved representation, equality and autonomy. But peace is illusory: issues never totally solved by the reforms, latent tensions and old grudges threaten to bring the entire system to its knees. While politics and diplomacy struggles to maintain unity, plagued by ethnic tensions, separatist claims and even institutional clashes, the threat lurks at the very heart of the Empire, among those who have never accepted the end of human supremacy and dream of restoring the old hegemony. But there are others plotting in the shadows: from neighboring intersteller powers still suspicious of the humans, to the tremendously alien Hak'ra, humanity's archenemies from remote times, driven back within their borders after four bloody and long wars fought over the centuries. They remained silent for over a century, but now, it seems they are poised for revenge. The stories of a constellation of characters are woven like the warp of this great interstellar epic: from Grand Admiral Armand Lourec, a symbol of loyalty and sacrifice, passing through the alien leader Tahare Ishartzairl, a member of the Confederal Council and spokesperson for an increasingly fragile policy of coexistence, to Elizabeth Ngo Batha, the machiavellian Terran suprematists' political leader. At the centre of the story emerges the figure of the Prince Claus Nicolaj, heir to the Terran throne who, despite his efforts to preserve the reformist legacy of his predecessors, ultimately finds himself betrayed and driven into exile, torn apart from his love, Zoe Lourec, the admiral’s daughter, who becomes entangled in perilous political intrigues and, like the Prince, is swept into the vortex of events threatening to engulf the entire Orion Arm. Narratively, Gli Echi del Dominio skillfully intertwines political intrigue, interstellar diplomacy, epic space battles and personal drama, all supported by a world constructed with extraordinary attention to detail. Every species, culture and belief system in Manfredi's universe is described with depth and coherence, making every aspect of the immense landscape that forms the background of the main events believable, able to carry the reader on a vast and visionary journey across the stars. Manfredi does not conclude Gli Echi del Dominio with a conclusive epilogue: the novel ends in the midst of the storm, with many more questions than answers and with the greatest challenges for our heroes yet to come . It's clear that this is just the beginning of an epic interstellar saga, and the author himself, in recent interviews, has hinted that the story will continue across multiple volumes, already in the planning stages. Rivoli Editore announced the second reprint after the first copies already sold out, while digital versions have achieved record numbers. The world of film and streaming platforms has also already made its move: according to rumors, competitive negotiations are underway to acquire the adaptation rights, with the idea of creating not only a film saga, but also TV series, anthology shorts, spin-offs, prequels, and so on... all based on the countless stories the author originally published online and that constitute the foundation of his Terran Universe. With Gli Echi del Dominio, Elio Manfredi has proven himself to be one of the most promising voices in contemporary Istalian fiction. From the web to bookstores, his universe, full of philosophy, emotions and adventure, has already conquered a generation of readers who recognize themselves in his way of telling the future of humanity: not as utopia or dystopia, but as a mirror, lucid and implacable, of our deepest contradictions. |
