The Arch Patriarch of Aikums of the Augustan Church Petras Kuseliauskas visted the Dolgavan Queen and the royal family at Pelēkā Pils today, where the Dolgavan Royal Family fostered goodwill between the Augustan Church in Dolgava and the Dolgavan Royal Family.

Looking at history, the Augustan Church (formerly known as the Terran Patriarchal Church) was spread to Dolgava and Keris from Trigunia and it has been one of the two largest churches in Dolgava. It is not the official church of the state, as the Luthorian Church of Dolgava happens to be the state's official church, but the Augustan Church has been a pillar of Dolgavan society for many thousands of years.

The Dolgavan Royal Family are practicing Luthorian church members, with the last member of the family following Augustan beliefs, centuries ago. However they know the importance of the church to Dolgavans, and they strive to maintain a close connection to the church and its leaders. The Arch Patriarch of Dolgava is the highest office of the church in Dolgava, and advises the monarch and the Dolgavan cabinet when he is called in to do so. As the highest official in Dolgava for the church, he also has a God given right to establish titles, conduct coronations and other such tasks, (however this is done in the Luthorian Church).

In a meeting at the palace, he spoke with Queen Jaanika, who chatted with him for over an hour. The two read the bible, and prayed, before the Arch Patriach officially gave Queen Jaanika, and by proxy the continued line of Dolgavan Queens and Kings, a new title.

The title in question stems from their previous title as Prince/Princess of Trigunia. With the recent abolishment of Trigunia, and it's successor state not only getting rid of the monarchy of Trigunia, but no acknowledging Trigunia's existence, the Arch Patriarch, gave Queen Jaanika the title as the Queen of Trigunia, and the rightful ruler of Trigunia, updating her title, from Princess to Queen. This took place, because it is well known that the Augustan Church was previously the largest church in Trigunia, and was a long established and cemented part of Trigunian identity and culture.

The title for now is merely symbolic, but it gives the Dolgavan monarchs, a claim on Trigunia, and grants the Dolgavan monarchy more prestige. Many will see this move as phony, or not take it seriously, but with most of the world still recognizing Trigunia as the rightful state for the Trigunian people. This also shows a backlash against the current state of affairs, be members of the Augustan Church throughout Terra.

Dolgavan Prime Minister Toivo Meri and his government announced today that they will be adopting a "pro-manufacturing" policy and that the Reiksaima and the Meri Government, will be repealing tons of legislation that they say "handicaps and cripples", Dolgavan manufacturing.

The plan revolves around repealing over 400 bureaucratic regulations, that were instituted by the Ministry of Economics and the Ministry of Energy. The biggest regulation has been the fact that no new large coal refineries, or large mines. This has hampered the extraction of Dolgavan coal, which has hampered Dolgava's steel mills and many other industrial operators.

This along with strict pollution regulations, which has done more to hamper the responsible burning of fossil fuels, by limiting the refining capacity of these fossil fuels. The regulations that have been put into place, are simply backfiring on both the Dolgavan economy and the environment.

Today Meri said that "the age of red tape, strangling our businesses, and industries is over! For too long we have self hampered our economy in the name of protecting the environment, when we have been doing the opposite. We will still have clean air and clean water, and we will still be able to enjoy the outdoors, but we will be able to burn coal and other fossil fuels cleaner and more effectively, it will also keep our businesses, from adopting policies that are inefficient and ineffective, and it will put a boost back into the Dolgavan economy! One that we need desperately!"

The Social Democrats have criticized the policy calling it "reckless and dangerous". The leader of the Social Democrats Bonaventūra Krauze made a fiery speech saying that, "The Prime Minister is too busy bailing out, and helping our his rich billionaire buddies, instead of making life better for average Dolgavans. He is risking our environment for the sake of his friends!"

Despite claims of the contrary, there will still be environmental regulations for businesses, and fossil fuel mines, especially coal mines will not be dumping hazardous waste into Dolgava's environment, but the unessisary regulations of past governments has now been stripped away, and in doing so, it will make things cheaper and better for Dolgava, and give Dolgava an advantage on the world stage in terms of trade.

The Dolgavan Government and Toivo Meri hit a major roadblock today, when their bill to legalize commercial whaling in the country once again. Meri, and his backers want to see the whaling industry legalized, saying that it will help increase Dolgava's merchant fleet, and bring a business back to Dolgava. After he touted that "Whaling will be legalized by the end of the month" and there was optimism inside of the Conservative ranks that they would be getting the bill passed. However when it came down to the Reiksaima to vote, it was voted down extensively by the DPP and DSP along with DKP rebels.

The bill opposition was spread headed by the leader of the DSP Bonaventūra Krauze. She said that the legalization of Whaling would be a "dark stain on the country", and was influential in getting the coalition of votes to oppose the bill. Right now Krauze stands as the only popular and well known opposition leader, with the DPP electing their new leader Enoks Andersons just mere days ago. Her personal popularity has been amplified with her face now appearing across all major media outlets, boosting her and her party's status.

After the bill was thrown out of the Reiksaima, she seemingly strutted out of the chamber with cameras in her face saying that "The disastrous bill is dead, as we promised" before saying that the "Prime Minister needs to get a grip on the feelings of the country".

The whole ordeal has been very embarrassing for the Government, with Meri reportedly "furious" with members of his own party for not backing the bill. However for the party as a whole the best thing was probably to vote down the bill, with a poll from the DBC, showing that over 70% of Dolgavans oppose whaling.

For the Government, this marks the first rocky patch of its tenure, and for Meri, it poses a challenge. The opposition has triumphed, and it has elevated the Social Democrats. Despite this, the Conservatives remain in a strong position, and are widely expected to be re-elected.

(Cont. from the picture above) ,representation of Her Majesty’s enduring service to the Kingdom artifact of history, for those looking to learn about Queen Jaanika, her life and her reign. Evgenijs Seržants spent three hours with the Queen crafting the perfect photographed portrait, until they found something that she liked.

The tradition for Dolgavan royals has been to have their royal portrait be not a painting, but a photograph, with this tradition starting when the Kingdom of Dolgava was re-established. Queen Jaanika expressed her excitement for the portrait saying

I would also like to thank Evgenijs Seržants who has spent 30 years in the photojournalism business and who did such a fantastic job. He holds 3 awards of the Dolgavas Ceturtās Varas Balva from his photojournalism alone, and he did it all through photos, truly remarkable. He is the best of the best, and he has been a beacon of good, honest journalism throughout his career. I have already told this to him in person numerous times, but Thank You, for taking the time to do this project. I am very much grateful.

The Queen will be personally visiting Ft. Karzonpils in the coming days, to attend Evgenijs Seržants's celebration of 30 years in the photojournalism industry, where she will tour his office, as well as the headquarters of the Neatkarīgā Karzonpilsa Avīze.

As her Majesty celebrates this important milestone in her reign, she remains steadfast in commitment to uphold democratic values, and unity, the cornerstones of Dolgava. Looking forward, the Queen vows to continue her unwavering support of peace and her unwavering commitment to safeguarding Dolgava's democratic institutions. "This winter has been cold, but our will and our strength is stronger". Those were the opening words of Toivo Meri's press conference outside of Dolgava's Merco nuclear power plant today, in which he declared that his government will be pursuing a 100 billion DOL plan to build a series of nuclear power plants across Dolgava. The plan will create five new plants across mainly Lirath and Karzon. The other three states have hydroelectric plants, and are powered by them easily.

For Lirath and Karzon, the plan is nothing short of a godsend. Lirath is the heart of Dolgava's industrial district, and cities like Trigrad and Noversk are still powered mainly by coal fired power plants. This has made these cities very industrial and has led to health problems. The Conservative Government has decided to phase out coal power, and work with the local power authorities to transition to all nuclear power!

Toivo's bill is expected to pass through the Reiksaima later today, but before that, he made a press conference in which he urged Parliament to support the expansion of Dolgavan energy saying "together we can achieve a better, cleaner future. Our kids won't be coughing coal smoke, where Noversk is not only a city of the working class, but one that draws tourism and bright futures".

The plan is widely seen as the biggest win for the Meri Government. the plan is supported by over 71% of Dolgavans, and has wide support from the Social Democrats, and Conservatives. The DPP is skeptical of the plan, as they are concerned about the water usage being diverted from agriculture, but they have been slipping in recent polls, now polling even with the DSP. Their new leader is also not inspiring Dolgavans, as he is considered to be a bland pick.

The Conservatives have now proven they can push landmark policies, and ones that are well liked by all Dolgavans. If this policy goes through, it would lower energy prices for many cities and communities across Terra. If that happens, the Conservatives will be in the drivers seat, for government for a long time.

The Dolgavan Prime Minister, Toivo Meri visited the brand new, and fully operational, Airforce base located on Iznīcības Sala (Destruction Island) in the Hodari straight, between Karzon and Hodari. The Airforce base was built on schedule and now houses 2 dozen multirole strike aircraft, and the ability to house many more aircraft in times of war of conflict. The base also has its own self sustained fuel storage facilities, and gets its fresh water entirely off the island.

The base can hold up to 3000, personnel, but this number will not be its full compliment. Also on the island, is a brand new dopler radar station, to help Dolgava to be able to track weather systems, especially storm systems, as well as intelligence, and military radar installations. Also the DBC Radio, will have shortwave antennas on the island to be able to broadcast news to the world.

The air station will solidify Dolgavan control of the Hodari straight, and ensure that criminal activity, or unwanted activity in the region comes to a halt, and does not even start. Toivo Meri said that the project was "remarkable" and that his government has "ensured that Dolgava is safer and more prepared than ever".

For the Conservatives, it is seen as another win in many such political wins lately. Dolgavans want a more safe and secure country, and the Conservatives have been the ones that have done all of this, and more. The DPP government under Jaanus Jogi, started the project, but the Conservatives finished it, and with elections coming nearer and nearer, the polls show that Toivo Meri, is set to easily be re-elected Prime Minister.

The Dolgavan investigation into the plane crash that took the life of Queen Jaanika's late husband Prince Verner, and 8 others has concluded. The investigation took years, and a report has been submitted to the Reiksaima that is over 800 pages in length. The entire plane, (or what was left of it) was pieced back together, and this helped them piece together exactly what happened.

3 minutes before the crash, a unknown object which has been now been identified as a meteoroid, crashed through the first fourth of the aircraft, which severed hydraulics lines and leaked hydraulic fluids. This immediately caused several things to fail, including the landing gear and the front doors. The object, also caused a temporary loss of pressure, with emergency masks being lowered.

The now compromised aircraft had hydraulic fluid leaking into the engines, this caused it to catch fire, and an explosion took place in the aircraft forward of the front doors, which separated the cockpit and front section of the aircraft with the rest of it. The crew and the passengers died immediately in the explosion, and the two parts of the aircraft crashed into the ocean, exploding on impact.

Dirk Feyerabend who was appointed by the Reiksaima to investigate the crash called it "an act of God", and said that "the results of the investigation are clear, and the rocks tested from those found on scene, have been tested, at multiple universities across Dolgava, it was indeed a foreign object from outer space".

The Royal Family issued a statement thanking the investigation, and called the situation a "sad series of events".

The wreckage of the plan will be recycled in the coming months, and the only recommendation from the investigation is that there should be a government agency to better regulate transportation and initiate investigations into transportation disasters.

Queen Jaanika hiked up to the summit of Dolgava's tallest peak Mežvelna Kalns which is also an active volcano. Mežvelna Kalns which translated to Luthorian means "Mountain of the Forest Devil" and is named after the local myth and legend of the Mežvelns a tall, upright harry being of Dolgavan myth for thousands of years.

The volcano is apart of the Hodari Mountain Range National Park and is the tallest peak in Dolgava at a height of 4773 meters (15,660 feet). The volcano is hiked actively from the months of April to September, with rare cases of people hiking the peak in the fall and winter months. The volcano has extensive climbing infrastructure, and is one of Dolgava's most visited peaks.

Mežvelna Kalns in Hodari, is the largest mountain in Dolgava

She invited members of her staff, as well as her personal protection detail to hike up the mountain with her, the group numbering around a dozen individuals. The team made their way up the mountain, camping multiple times. On day 2 they made it to the summit, where Jaanika and the rest of the climbers took photos, and looked at the view from the top of the volcano. They spent 3 hours at the summit, before resuming their journey down the volcano.

After the trip, the photos were released online to instantly becoming viral and the Queen released pictures of her trip on social media. Saying that this was a "bucket list" trip, and that she will be climbing more mountains in the coming years.

The Dolgavan Prime Minister Toivo Meri has suspended the Reiksaima and called for early elections, following polls showing him and his party are in the drivers seat to win a massive majority. The move comes as he has a list of accomplishments to his name, and the only real opposition is from the Social Democrats, who have a popular leader but no accomplishments to their name. Meri spoke in a press conference saying "It is time for change", and he said that "We have done more for the people in a few years, than lifetimes, for other governments".

His party has gathered in support of Meri, who owns very high approval ratings, and the party is enjoying a huge boost in polls. The Social Democrats have decried the move calling it a "partisan political sham", and Bonaventūra Krauze called the move "cold and calculated".

Despite the political posturing over the decision, elections will be held in July during the height of the Dolgavan summer, and if the polls hold strong, it could be a huge victory for the Conservatives
