The war in Istalia is far from being over! Armed attacks against the Kafuri and Pontesian occupation forces are multiplying now that all the resistance groups that spontanously are popping up all over the Peninsula are being coordinated by the Action and Liberation Corps, the para-military organization linked to the Istalian Patriotic Front.
The resistance, as expected in such cases, is using the always effective guerilla tactics and taking advantage of the better knowledge of the territory to hit the enemy forces. It is also reported that some of the survived military equipements once part of the regular Istalian forces' arsenals is being used too, especially thanks to an increasing number of former military personnel which is joining the resistance.
The catalyzer that made a lot of citizens run to join the ranks of the resistance was without dubt the unilateral decision by the Kafuri puppet government installed into the so called Grand Emirate of Quanwar to bring a "significant number of Solentian refugees" to Quanzar to bolster the Majatran-based population.
The fears expressed for months by the leadership of the FPI are now concretizing and the reaction of the co-leader of the movement Floria Monaldi, that rumors wants to have moved clandestinaly in the south of the Peninsula, didn't take long to arrive:

In spite of our history of sufference and struggles, a decision made to openly insult us, our history and the memory of all those that gave their life for the liberty of Istalia, the Kafuri puppet that is the illegitimate government installed in the north of the Peninsula called itself "Great Emirate of Quanzar", exactly like the heinous power that for centuries subjugated our land and our people actively trying to eradicate our culture, our language and our identity!
Now this illegitimate government, formed by traitors that once called themself "Istalians", ungrateful son of people that for centuries have enjoyed our democracy, our stability, our prosperity and our liberties, have decided to let in the country masses of refugees from Solentia... masses of fanatics, extremists, terrorists, masses of unwanted aliens that will come to take our homes, our villages, our cities, our lands, an anacronistic attempt to reverse the time, to try, once again, to do what centuries in the past our enemies tried to do but failed miserably.
The traitors of the country and the Kafuri government with their pro-Majatran agenda are without shame trying to actively change the demografic of our lands, unable to accept our triumphes in the past, fuming about the fact that even the mighty and powerful Empire of Quanzar didn't achieved to do what they did in other nations, namely turning our country in a Majatran land. And if they believe that they will be able to succeed this time, let me say them a thing: it is and it will remain just a rotten dream!
Our enemies, today like in the past, will fail once again in pursuing their purposes! Istalians, like in the past, won't just sit back and watch, but they will fight like we always did until the reunification of our lands, until another piteful demise of our enemies, until that, once again, the aliens trying to conquer our land will be expelled from our sacred soil!
Istalians will not allow the dark forces that still after centuries and millennia are evidently still trying to suppress our nation and our identity to prevail!
And let me add another thing, a veritable promise: the rats the traitors and Kafuri want to let in Istalia will find the hell on Terra! If they believe that here they will be able to fly the destruction and the famine, well... they are grossly mistaken! Istalians will drive out them back to their rotten nation of Solentia, where they can die of starvation and under bombing for all we care, also because it wouldn't be such a great loss: the world will not miss such rats and murderous terrorists! I'm not ashamed to say: let them starve! The only good cockroaches are dead cockroaches!
And to the world we say that we will not conceed even a cm square of our country! Anyone who opposes us will be mercilessly annihilated! There will be no negotiations, conferences, agreements or compromises, there will be no governments or international organizations of any kind that will can impose compromises or solutions on us, because the only acceptable response to our rightful claim is and will always be one: Istalia is and will always be of the Istalians and only of the Istalians, always one and indivisible!
It is clear, therefore, that the decision of that puppet government that is the Great Emirate of Quanzar has pushed even more Istalians to reject the terms of the peace treaty, fueling the fear that after the 20 years foreseen in the treaty the terms will not be respected and that indeed the traitorous Quanzarians and Kafuristan will do everything to keep the country divided indefinitely.
All this, in turn, is encouraging the resurgence and spread among ever larger segments of the population of theories about the Great Anti-Istalian Conspiracy, theories that once, centuries ago, especially in the aftermath of the anti-Istalian regimes, were very widespread among the most extreme fringes of Istalian Nationalism and not only, theories that, for example, found great success among the whole population under the Third Republic.
Floria Monaldi, in her speech, unlike all the other previous statements, this time did not make reference to the Communist Government, because, despite rumors that the Party is ready to proceed to suppress the Patriotic Front, it seems that the nationalist leadership is trying to ease relations in view of the fight against the common enemy on the Peninsula. Meanwhile, the months pass and the co-founder of the Patriotic Front, Mattia Appiano-Solari, remains imprisoned in the custody of the authorities of the Communist Government that still seems undecided on what to do, also because, as declared by the party organs themselves, the opposition to the Socialist Republic is mounting throughout Alaria and for the moment its leadership does not seem able to give answers to an increasingly intolerant and suffering population.

Carvelli warns the illegal Fronte Patriotico to disband

Since the division of Istalia in three different territories, Carvelli remained in the newly-formed nation of Alaria, elected as the new leader. Soon afterwards, a group that called itself the "Fronte Patriotico d'Istalia" started gaining traction and threatening the government of Alaria as well as foreign nations, with anti-Majatran and anti-communist rhetoric. According to the law of 5567 that banned non-socialist parties, still active in Alaria, the Fronte Patriotico is an illegal group and cannot operate nor exist unless it has a socialist ideology as defined in the law. Carvelli has warned the Fronte Patriotico that if they don't cease their operations, the government will have to take measures against it, and that elections will not be held until they are disbanded.
On the other hand, Carvelli has stated that he seeks to restore the reputation of Istalia by cooperating with the international community without abandoning its communist ideology, even though many have started to accuse Carvelli of being a revisionist and a moderate, and that Istalian communism died with the end of the war. He, however, has stated multiple times that he is just being pragmatic and that, despite the territorial division, the Communist party represents the proletariat of the three territories - Quanzari, Alarian and Istalian alike, and thus will not abandon their Istalian identity, despite being active only in Alaria.

Carvelli reveals exclusive information about Nevio Russo

Deeply ashamed by the outcome of the war and the development of events, Publio Carvelli, current Secretary General of Alaria, has given the world some exclusive information about the previous Secretary General of Istalia who started the war with Pontesi and Kafuristan (with the support of Carvelli), Nevio Russo, in public television.
Quote:"In August 5571, after the Revolutionary Unity Government was formed between Erminio Boni, Amanzio Berni, Nevio Russo and I, we found the body of Berni dead in an alleyway, and then in October 5573 Boni was arrested and executed for treason, supposedly for threatening to assassinate Russo. The truth is... Nevio Russo had been the one who assassinated Berni, and Boni had found out - it is plainly obvious that Russo wanted to get rid of him as well. And I would know, because I worked with him and he confessed to me. Russo is now captured by the Pontesian government, waiting to receive a punishment. Berni and Boni were staunch supporters of our previous leader and great revolutionary, Auro Casella, who was assassinated by an unknown person. I must say that... Whatever punishment Pontesi and Kafuristan choose for him, he deserves even worse."
With this tough relevation and these rough words, people are wondering what ought to be done with Carvelli: he had kept quiet about Russo all this time, and supported his decisions, including going to war with Pontesi and Kafuristan. However, he has apologised, finally revealed these secrets, and showed that he is actually disappointed, ashamed, and frustrated, as well as seeking to change things for better. How Istalians, Pontesians, Kafuris, and the rest of the world, will react to this, is yet to be seen.

Tensions on the once-pleasant island of Alaria are now on the verge of exploding in the wake of Secretary General Carvelli's speech to the nation and after the threats to dissolve the Patriotic Front.
Floria Monaldi, co-leader of the Patriots, who has been in hiding for months, has returned on social media with a new video message, renewing her attack and harsh criticism on the miserable leadership of the Communist Party which confirmed her fears about the dishonoured promises of democratization. Monaldi firmly announced that the Patriotic Front of Istalia is ready for a veritable crusade to free the country from all its enemies, whether internal or external, in the name of Istalian sovereignty and national unity.
Monaldi, further emphasizing the regime's abuses, recalled how the Patriotic Front's co-founder Mattia Appiano-Solari has been in custody of the Pontolasa authorities for almost two years now without having been officially indicted and without a glimmer of any trial on the horizon, and indicated him as a real political prisoner, unjustly imprisoned by the regime, declaring the Socialist Republic to be still a dictatorial regime that has not kept any of the promises made to the Italian people and the international community.

The Patriotic Front, the Action and Liberation Corps and all those groups of brave Istalians who have decided to act and react to regain freedom, democracy and unity, all together united I promise you that today we launch a veritable crusade for the fate of Istalia!
No action, no measure, no provision will be considered too strong or too extreme to put an end to the Socialist Republic and to drive the Communists from the leadership of the country!
Today Istalia awakens, today, even if we would have wished to avoid it, a new war begins, a war for civilization, for our identity and for the destiny of this great and glorious country of ours! And if you want to find those responsible for the violence and blood that will unfortunately come, well, turn to Crevelli, to the Communist Party and to this rotted Socialist Republic!

Crisis in the PCI - Thousands of members abandon the party

Relevant: Il Proletario - Denouncing the PCI and global imperialists
Following the recent events after the war between Pontesi and Kafuristan, a member of the PCI, Silvio Bianchi, decided to write an article in the Il Proletario after decades without activity, in which he denounced the PCI since the formation of the Revolutionary Unity Government, as well as several nations. In this article, he calls Carvelli an opportunist and counter-revolutionary, and announced that he would seize control of Il Proletario and abandon the Communist Party. This article, logically, became famous throughout Istalia and within the PCI, causing many Istalian communists who agreed with Casella and opposed Russo, or who 'woke up' after reading the article of Bianchi, to abandon the party. The PCI has lost many members, it is facing opposition from Istalian nationalists as well as Istalian communists, entering a crisis. Carvelli has not made any public declarations about this, but there are rumours that he is planning to retire from politics and possibly leave Istalia to some allied nation.
Bianchi, meanwhile, has not been spotted anywhere and there are no news of a new communist party or group, which means that either he has not made any move to form a new communist party, or he is operating clandestinally for now. A member of the PCI said that "considering the words of Bianchi in the article he wrote, it is likely he doesn't want to make it public, fearing there could be infiltrations from enemies of Istalian communists, including nationalists and revisionists. I will likely not be leaving the PCI until I see a better alternative, since we must make sure to organise, especially at times like these." As for the crisis of Istalian nationalists from the Fronte Patriotico, in order to avoid more trouble, several members of the PCI have said that the Communist Party might compromise to remove the ban on non-socialist parties and let them participate in elections freely.

Following the nuclear attack launched by Beiteynu's military forces against Xsampa’s capital, Metz-Leonid, the international community is harshly condemning Yishelem. Joining the chorus there is also the leadership of the Patriotic Front of Istalia that once again strongly condemned the northern-majatran state.
From the secret location where she is currently in hiding, Floria Monaldi delivered a fierce tirade and she did not spare his ferocity in his invective against Beiteynu:

They accused us of being extremists and racists, but time has clearly proven us right! We are facing an enemy indifferent to human life unless it is Yeudi, one that evidently considers anyone outside their lineage to be subhuman, and it doesn’t matter if those who die like flies are one, a thousand, a hundred thousand, or millions!
You can say that here in Istalia we have other matters to worry about besides Beiteynu or what happened in Xsampa. But I tell you that everything that has happened in the world for so long, too long, and even in Istalia, can ultimately be traced back to Beiteynu, a nation of fanatics that believes to be the chosen people, the sole arbiter of the world’s fate, all that while slyly posing as the good and friendly neighbor guy.
This time, however, cornered by an increasing number of nations opening their eyes to Yishelem’s dark interference, Beiteynu has revealed its true face, namely the face of a cold and ruthless regime acting solely for its own interests and those of its tainted lineage.
Let the world awaken and free itself once and for all from the venomous grip of this dark empire of esoteric fanatics, for no one can now say who will be the next people to suffer the fate of nations like Xsampa or Istalia!

For months now, attacks and guerrilla actions have been taking place throughout the Peninsula, concentrated against the infrastructures and vehicles used by the enemy occupation forces for their supplies on the Istalian territory.
Paramilitary and resistance groups, definitively organized and coordinated under the aegis of the Istalian Patriotic Front, have claimed responsibility for actions that have also affected the occupation forces and their collaborators, even if the enemy's official information channels have denied such loses or have not even mentioned them.
However, regarding the infrastructure, the damage caused by the resistance is much more visible and among the most important actions there have been the following:
- a strong explosion on the steep rocky walls of the Nayars, overlooking the narrow strip of land between the mountains and the sea on the border with Solentia in the north of the country, caused a landslide that completely hit the underlying cross-border railway line and significantly damaged the nearby highway. It appears that former members of the armed forces specialized in operating on the mountains have cleverly placed explosives on the rock faces.
- sabotage actions blew up at least three bridges over the Merivino (the longest river in Istalia and which almost cuts the Quanzar territory in half) and two bridges over the Sala (the river that passes through Romula and which also divides the north and south of the Fidelia region, occupied by Pontesian forces).
- a tank car of a freight train entering the central station of Magliano exploded there where the numerous tracks leading to the station and the freight area begin to branch off, rendering the railway yard almost completely inoperable.

But surely the action that was among the most daring was the one organized and led by Alessandro Appiano-Solari, son of the co-leader of the FPI Mattia, still detained after almost four years by the communist authorities of Pontelasa. About the young Alessandro, 24 years old, only a few photos dating back to several years ago are available, and it is just known that he followed a military training in Endralon and that just a year ago he joined the resistance, easily climbing the hierarchies and continuing to train alongside former members of the Istalian military forces.
The young Alessandro personally planned and carried out a dynamite attack in the port of Neapulia where, having loaded with explosive one of the small port vessels used to transport the port pilots aboard incoming ships, he personally guided it towards a large Pontesian container ship as it was preparing to approach the passage in the breakwater of the port. Having approached the hull, he keep the boat alongside the ship for several minutes, communicating on board that he was having difficulty controlling the vessel and that he could not guarantee a safe transfer of the false pilot (another member of the resistance group to which Appiano-Solari belongs). Once very close to the entrance to the port, and signaling that he had solved the problem of the boat, Appiano-Solari and the false pilot had the ladder used to board lowered, wrapped ropes around it and then hastily jumped into the water using an underwater scooter to get away (among the equipment of the Istalian armed forces left at the mercy of the enemy but requisitioned in the previous months by the resistance). Despite the crew's efforts to cut the ladder and attempts to reverse the propulsion and change course, there was not enough time to do anything and in a few minutes the small vessel with over 80 kg of explosives hidden on board (twice the size of a common torpedo) exploded noisily, tearing open the hull of the container ship which, already unable to change course quickly enough given the proximity of the breakwater, only managed to slow down and then to impact the breakwater with its bow right next to the entrance passage to the port. The water taken on board quickly made the large ship in fire slew which then settled on the seabed, blocking access to the port for almost any other ship, certainly for other larger freight transports.
On the island of Alaria, however, increasingly frequent demonstrations, as well as strikes and defections among the communist security forces and police are affecting large and small cities demanding and declaiming not only the end of the communist regime but also, obviously, the liberation of Mattia Appiano-Solari, as said for years in the hands of the communist authorities and seen as living symbol of Istalian resistance to the dictature.
Support for the Communist Party is waning day by day, criticism from outside and Inside the party are attacking its increasingly shaky leadership, the demonstrations are full of both flags of the Socialist Republic from which the communist coat of arms that stood in the middle has been cut out with hatred, both Istalian flags without symbols and those with the Imperial coat of arms, and even in some municipalities in the south the administrations and city councils themself are withdrawing the communist flag from the balconies of public buildings while members still loyal to the party are being insulted in the streets and made the object of throwing objects and food, with the police having to intervene on several occasions to prevent veritable lynchings.

Appearing in her latest video inside a military tent in the middle of an unidentified forest on the Peninsula, Floria Monaldi has returned to incite Alaria to revolt and definitively overthrow the Socialist Republic, inviting the Communist Party and its leadership, indeed also with not at all veiled threats, to return power to the people and to free the Istalians and the country from their toxic and ruinous leadership, bluntly inviting the leadership to even leave the country in order not to incur the wrath and summary popular justice.

This morning, the editorial office of the main state newspaper in Alaria received the claim of responsibility from the resistance forces for the attacks that yesterday and at the beginning of the week led to the death of Luigi Rizzo and Ettore Ferrero, senior leaders of the Communist Party who respectively held the positions of Vice-President of the Commission for State Security (the highest operative official of the communist security apparatus involved in the repression of the resistance) and President of the Communist Party Section of Cisavugli, as well as one of the most influential members of the entire Party.
Luigi Rizzo was the victim of an ambush just steps from his home in Pontelasa: the car which was driving him to the Party headquarters for a meeting with the state leaders was devastated by the explosion of two vehicles packed with explosives parked on the sides of Via del Rondone, near the intersection where it joins Viale della Stella Rossa, where vehicles are forced to stop to enter the largest artery.
Ettore Ferrero, on the other hand, was killed by several bursts of machine gun fire fired by members of the resistance who had infiltrated the participants of a rally held in Bërgoj organized by the local branch of the Party. The shootout between the resistance and the security forces on site caused the death of three members of the resistance commando, two police officers and a participant in the rally, as well as wounding several other police officers and participants, whose number is currently unknown.
The two hierarchs were among the figures who had recently attracted the most hatred from the resistance given their role, respectively, in the repression of patriotic forces and in pro-party rhetoric, influential members within the politburo and among the most orthodox ones.
Their fall, which occurred in the northern part of Alaria, became the center of power of the communist regime, has demonstrated how the resistance is progressively bringing the war to the Party's home, as well as the increasingly weak hold of the security forces, intelligence and in general of the party on the island of Alaria, whose southern part, the region of Nicoma, has been in turmoil for months due to increasingly massive anti-government demonstrations.
