We at the Kasaema Guardian are the first to provide this exclusive feature: the full publication of the declaration of independence and conflict against the fascist regime in the north.

The declaration was written by a team representing the Kundrati Union and led by General Tiberius Claudius Nero who has begun to establish a full army based off volunteers and Kundrati expats who have escaped the fascist regime in Kasaema. The group, which calls themselves the National Rejuvenation Council, has declared permanent martial law throughout the territory of Kundrati and has said they plan to rule by military fiat "...until conditions are ready for liberal democracy to return to the Union."

For all intents and purposes, this shall be considered Institutional Act No.1, according to representatives of the NRC:

We, the people of the Kundrati races, declare that the ongoing Kundrati Legionnaire rule only intends to ensure the death of Artania, and the introduction of foreign rule from the northwest to the east, and that the Kundrati races will be subjugated by evil foreigners who wish to harm the innocent Kundrati peoples.

We, the people of the Kundrati races, have lived with eternal democracy for centuries without hindrance or hate from other nations, and during that time our democratic order, unrivalled by all others, had a place in the global stage as a respected power that brought glory to Terra and which never, before the rule of the Kundrati Legion, brought pain or horror or any evil upon the rest of this world.

Since the Kundrati Legionnaire reign continues to exist without the permission of the Kundrati people, we hereby command the Kundrati Legion and their leadership to step down.

Since the Kundrati Legionnaire reign continues to harm the peoples of Kundrati and cause foreigner barbarians to cause harm upon our races, we hereby command the Kundrati Legion to face tribunals for war crimes and crimes against humanity against any peoples of any race.

Since the Kundrati Legionnaire reign continues to harm the liberal democratic order of Terra, we hereby command the restoration of all acts of the Kundrati Union and the restoration of our rule upon the rest of the Kundrati Union to it's normal borders as established by the international standard.

The National Rejuvenation Council hereby declares permanent martial law on all territories it hereby controls until these conditions are met or until the National Rejuvenation Council can establish a stable and functional Union of all peoples and races in the territory it controls.

The National Rejuvenation Council hereby declares that all orders of the Kundrati Legion, and any actions, future actions, declarations, future declarations, statements or anything this Council deems fit that the Kundrati Legion made shall no longer apply in any way or form upon any territory of the Kundrati Union, and that any repealed statements, actions, declarations, or anything else this Council deems fit that the Kundrati Legion repealed shall be restored.

The five-year economic plan was introduced today at a meeting of the National Assembly in Jildrati City. This plan is the first of many five-year plans, with the hope that the Free Zone (Etxea) can begin revitalizing its economy.

The sum of the Five Year Plan is to obtain various loans from Luthorian and Dundorfian banking companies. With these loans, there will be investment in indigenous tech companies, including factories for the production of consumer technology, computer chip fabrication plants, and plans for indoor agricultural programs. These factories will be situated on the outskirts of Jildrati City and in the general area outside Jildrati City, which will have highway and port connections. The hope is that tech companies can export chips to Etxea for cheap due to the large amount of manpower that Etxea has, which is looking for affordable work and training opportunities.

President Claudius Nero also announced in this plan that there would be massive tax breaks for Luthorian and Dundorfian companies that place long-term investment in the Union economy via the Free Zone alongside international financing and technology companies. As the island recovers from the recent war, the plan is to demolish ruined buildings and open up space for companies to build factories and headquarters. The Government has also announced via this plan that they will work on upgrading the school infrastructure and establishing the University of Etxea. The President plans to look to Egelion and other various Seleyan and Dovani states to implement their various features for the improvement of Etxean education.

In addition, there will be a massive focus on transportation. The President emphasized that Etxea's location near the Artanian Sea would benefit it if the island were used as a significant port-as-a-state. As a result, he announced that the Jildrati City Naval Yard will close and the yard will be rearranged as a civilian port. Port infrastructure and investment in storage for oil, containers, and various transportation infrastructure will allow the Port of Jildrati City to be renamed the Port of Etxea and become a premier Artanian port. This project will take at least five to ten years. The President hopes that the ETA can be wound down with the help of various Artanian and Seleyan investors.

Finally, the President has begun talks to encourage former banking giants Tomasadyn National and Etxea Bank to return to Etxea now that a part of Kundrati is free from the stain of Legionaires. The talks are going well, and it is hoped that those two banks will return to Kundrati somehow. Talks are also being worked on with the Lirnak Technological Investment Bank and various Kundrati technology companies like ArtSat.

Reports are coming in to our studio that the Kundrati Union forces have begun to rise up throughout the island of Etxea in response to the landing of Luthorian ships and soldiers in portions of the island. The reports are also coming in that the Luthorian soldiers have met heavy resistance by Legionaire forces which have managed to hold on to a good chunk of the island so far.

President Tiberius Claudius Nero announced that the offensive, called in Kundrati the "Thousand Years' Campaign", will include soldiers that have secretly supported the Union forces alongside partisans and other Unionists who have decided to join the fight against the Legion. These pockets of resistance have popped up as a result with some being well armed and some being supplied from various parts of the Union-controlled territory. The hope is that from there the so-called Coalition and the Unionists can link up and put up enough of a fight to force a retreat for the Legion.

Casualties for the Coalition and the Unionists remain high as liberation slowly takes over the island. President Claudius Nero predicts that they will, however, manage to take over Jildrati City by November. The President is reportedly commanding a unit of Unionists around 2,500 strong though it is expected that some Etxeans will go over to the side of the Union and bolster the numbers of the President.
