RAB and Allies Secure Haegi Province, Begin Advance into Rokgi
The Royal Army of Baeguk (RAB), alongside its allies the Kyo People's Army (KPA) and the Nadiyan Volunteer Brigades (NVB), has made considerable territorial gains against the communist usurper rebels. Almost all of Haegi province has been liberated by the Allies, including the city of Sinsu and all major formerly northern-administrated population centers. Further advances into Rokgi Province have been made and the Allied forces are now approaching the key city of Ilbae.
Advancements remain to be made as Allied Forces prepare to confront and withstand the winter. Fighting in the freezing cold of the northern Peninsula and the Jangcheong mountains is deeply inadvisable in the harsh and Arctic Baegukese winter. The RAB and the Allied Forces will continue to prioritize their foremost goal, the protection and security of all Imperial Subjects.

Major Northern Offensive Begins on Baegukese New Year
The War in Baeguk today turned ugly on what was supposed to be a sacred and traditional holiday for the Kyo people. Seollal, or Baegukese New Year, marks the renewal of the Gaoic Lunar Calendar and is a deeply sacred time for people in both North and South Baeguk to rest, get together with family, and worship communally.
However, the mood was decidedly not celebratory today as under the cover of darkness the Northern Revolutionary Committee of the Kyo People's Army (RC), their Utaristani advisors, and their southern allies in the National Liberation Front (NLF) launched what appears to be a massive offensive to retake lost Northern territories and push further into the South. Massive artillery barrages have hit the front lines and southern border population centers as coordinated waves of Northern attackers and Southern NLF guerilla fighters have begun assaulting (and by some reports overwhelming) RAB forces, some of whom were caught off guard due to the festive mood and cultural expectations of idleness. This marks the largest and most widespread offensive of the conflict thus far.
During this conflict the South has had the upper hand in all aspects; militarily, economically, and in morale. At the beginning of the conflict the Royal Army of Baeguk was able to decisively seize the major northern city of Sinsu without major bloodshed. Resistance intensified as RC troops began to seriously defend their territory, but the RAB still made progress in both the Rokgi and Haegi provinces; they have since entered Myeoggi province. This was only encouraged by the arrival of foreign support troops from Nadiya and Luthori, alongside economic aid and arms.
The RC have by contrast been mainly on the backfoot in defending their territory without being capable of "bringing the fight" southward, and though their NLF allies in the South have proved themselves capable of coordinating impressive terror attacks they are yet to stage a true guerilla war outside of sporadic clashes or acts of vigilante violence. Though the North was bolstered two months ago by the arrival of military attaches and auxillaries from Utaristan, a longtime ally of the North, this was not enough to frustrate the steady advance of allied soldiers as they march towards Taedo.
Analysts now wonder if the South can hold against such firepower, and if this could potentially turn the tide of the conflict from what has largely been a steady series of Southern allied victories. It is of great interest to Terra to see how the conflict in Baeguk develops further.

Seollal Offensive Successfully Repulsed by the Allied Forces, Ilbae Secure as Preparations for Final Push into Myeoggi Continue
The Royal Army of Baeguk (RAB), alongside its allies the Kyo People's Army (KPA), the Nadiyan Volunteer Brigades (NVB), and the Luthorian Volunteer Brigades (LVB) have successfully repulsed the northern offensive that began on February 7 and destroyed the final major "revolutionary bases" of the terrorist group known as the "National Liberation Front".
In Rokgi province, Allied forces have recaptured and liberated the major city of Ilbae. Allied lines in Myeoggi have further advanced away from the border with liberated Haegi province. A double pincer situation of the Allied forces have enabled the MOD and Allied Command to begin organizing a final push into Taedo to crush the communist rebellion and finally reunify the Kingdom under the rightful rule of His Imperial Majesty.

Due to the present hardships of the revolution and the unbeneficial conditions of many comrades, the Standing Committee of the Workers Party of Dranea has unanimously agreed to submit to complete and unconditional surrender to the Kingdom of Great Baeguk and the Allied Forces.

Speaking on recent comments over the reunification of the nation by the Kalistani Foreign Office, Officer of Foreign Affairs Eulji Yiroun spoke this morning:
"Foreigners should remain concerned with their internal affairs and not those of Baeguk when their input is not requested. Just as Baeguk, a Dovanian country, does not comment on the internal affairs of non-Dovanian Seleyan foreigners, neither should certain members of Seleyan governments seek to undermine the sovereignty of Dovanians, a continent of peoples who have repeatedly been colonized against their will.
The position of Baeguk is as Master Jienshi said:

The assertion that the Kingdom of Great Baeguk is "propped up" by anything but the will of Cheon (天) and the 50 million Baegukese people is unacceptable slander that cruelly and maliciously insults all subjects of the Son of Heaven (子之帝天). Such remarks are irresponsible, factually inaccurate, and constitute interference in the internal affairs of Baeguk. The Office of Foreign Affairs has submitted a formal complaint to Kalistan demanding the retraction of this dissolute and improper statement.
The Terran nations have agreed in the modern day to the self-determination of nations and the sovereign states that they form. Baeguk has made independent diplomatic arrangements with the sovereign and independent Nadiyan and Luthorian states, as was the will of the Kingdom of Great Baeguk as an independent and sovereign kingdom.
Baeguk does not sponsor color revolutions or support unwarranted intervention in other nations' affairs and will continue to uphold the founding principles of the World Congress charter, which guarantees independence and rights to all nations irrespective of race or ethnicity. Baeguk continues to support mutually beneficial and win-win diplomacy in the context of a rules-based international order of equal and sovereign states."
The Kalistani ambassador in Gongmangdo has been summoned by the OFA to clarify his government's position.

Manhunt for Buyeo Bomsori Ends as Communist Dictator Captured in Rokgi Province
The Office of the Interior and the Imperial Intelligence Service have officially confirmed the capture of former communist insurgent leader Buyeo Bomsori near the settlement of Mulgaba (比甲勿), Rokgi Province. This concludes the more than a year-long manhunt for the dictator, who disappeared and went into hiding as Allied Forces liberated the northern administrative center of Taedo in the Gyeongja year.
Ms. Buyeo illegally seized power in a military coup and proceeded to launch the bloody invasion of the southern realm in the Gihae year. She is responsible for murderous and severe crimes against the state and people, having attempted to use her forces to illegally seize power and install a communist dictatorship.
Since her hiding the OFI and IIS have been conducting a nonstop search to bring her to justice. As it was revealed upon restless investigation, near Mulgaba in Rokgi Ms. Buyeo was being sheltered by local communist loyalists. Earlier today the Imperial Intelligence Service with assistance from the Royal Army of Baeguk stormed the mountain compound in Mulgaba, whereupon Ms. Buyeo and several of her high-ranking associates in the communist terrorist regime were found and captured. The IIS and RAB sustained negligible casualties; one communist was killed and two more were injured in the ensuing firefight upon government entry. The injured two are currently recovering at Mulgaba Central Hospital.
Notable documents of interest related to the criminal conspiracies of the banned so-called "Workers Party of Dranea" were captured and will be selectively released to the public as time and conditions allow. The Office of the Interior believes that the group were in conspiracy plotting to flee to Utaristan, but more information will be gathered.
Ms. Buyeo and her conspirators have been charged by the state with Treason, Crimes Against Humanity, and Murder. The crime of treason against the crown is punishable by death.
Under the laws of the KGB, all civilians and subjects have the right to a fair and impartial trial under civil jurisdiction. However, Ms. Buyeo will be treated as not a civilian but rather an enemy combatant given her commuist terrorist activities. Accordingly, prosecution falls out of the purview of the OFI per the request of the MOA, which will coordinate the special prosecution of the insurgents. Thus ends the role of the OFI in bringing these communist terrorists to justice.
