The Royal Dolgavan Airforce has reportedly ordered 4 HB-0, heavy strategic stealth bombers. These are the stealth bombs of the Hutorian Air Force, and are made by Hutori's premier aviation manufacturer Horizon Technology Corporation. The order comes as Dolgava looks to boost its air-forces capabilities, especially Dolgava's bomber aircraft, which is a part of the air forces that has been neglected for years. The order would greatly improve Dolgava's ability to bomb targets in combat, and to carry a large payload. These bombers also use stealth, to go over targets without being detected. They can also provide a huge bomb load, a capability that Dolgava lacked during the Second Kundrati War, and lacks to this day.
Defense analysts have said that the deal will likely cost 10 billion HLR, (6.2 billion DOLS), and the aircraft will be tailor fit to meet Dolgava's needs. Despite this report, both the Dolgavan Ministry of Defesne and Horizon Technology Corporation have both kept tight lips on the subject.

Queen Jaanika appeared with her daughter Princess to usher in the grand opening of a state of the art Children's Hospital in Trigrad, the two have been doing more charity work, with the Queen being present at many engagements, speaking events, fundraisers and galas. This new hospital which has been named St. Olaf's Trigrad Children's Hospital cost approximately 2 billion DOL's and will serve Trigrad, as well as help as the surrounding area. The Queen and Princess both cut the ribbon of the new facility, with Jaanika calling the center a "beacon of light for the future". However it was Princess Celestīna who shined at the event making the keynote speech

However for Trigrad the opening of this hospital means that children will receive world class healthcare. By opening this facility, we are opening a new future for cancer research, and for saving children.
My mother throughout her life has done everything she could to help children, and she and I are both extremely honored and excited to be here at such a joyous event. We stand with those brave men and women that are fighting cancer, especially childhood cancer. We also stand with all of Dolgava's children that struggle with cancer.
By our efforts here today, and your support. We are beating back cancer, and ensuring Trigrad's children do not have to suffer through cancer and other chronic illnesses.
Princess Celestīna and Queen Jaanika visited with doctors as well as children who will be treated at the facility. Celestīna has taken on a double life, one as a reporter, and the other as a Princess, and she is balancing the two lives as best as she can. The event due to their support has been heralded as a success, and this goes to show how the Royal Family truly can make a difference for good in Dolgava.

Crown Prince Kazimierz married Kalistani supermodel Gabrielle Montgomery, who is now to be known as Princess Gabriela of Dolgava, in a publicly televised ceremony at St. Matthews Cathedral in Aikums. The couple were wed into the Confessionalist Church of Dolgava, that being the state church of the Kingdom of Dolgava. The event was attended by dignitaries throughout the globe, including many members of royal families across Terra. Also celebrities in Dolgavan society, as well as influential politicians, including most of the Dolgavan cabinet was in attendance.
The ceremony was also broadcast for free across the internet and on television channels, with it becoming one of the most watched events of the decade. It was also broadcast across shortwave stations of DBC Terran Service, which is located on most continents, and has coverage across the globe.
The service was a traditional service, and ended with the two newlyweds walking down the center aisle to a waiting entourage where a massive parade was held in Aikums. Over 2.5 million Dolgavans lined the streets to send their best wishes to the new couple. They both were seated near the Royal Palace, where a massive state run parade was held.
After this the royal couple was whisked away to an undisclosed location so they can enjoy their honeymoon, but for the rest of Dolgava, the party continued long into the night. Beer gardens and pubs were open till midnight across the country, with many businesses being closed as it was a national holiday.
The Royal Couple have been reported to be spending their honeymoon in Hutori, before flying to Kalistan, the home country of Princess Gabriela and they will end their honeymoon in Istalia.

Queen Jaanika has died at the age of 57, from an apparent heart attack. The Queen was residing in the Grey Palace, after spending the previous day spending time with family, as well as getting her monthly hair appointment. She passed away in her sleep during the night, with the Royal Palace making this statement.

Queen Jaanika's life was served in the service of others, as her role as Queen, and for her humanitarian work across Dolgava. She carried out her duties with dignity, class and with no complaint. Her character is a true testament to the good that the Royal Family provides Dolgava, and the peace and stability that the monarch provides. She stood for peace and democracy, and for the rights of everyone.
In accordance with the laws of Succession, this morning, Prince Kazimierz has ascended to the throne as His Majesty King Kazimierz of Dolgava, effective immediately. Further details regarding the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Jaanika and the coronation of His Majesty King Kazimierz will be announced in due course. His majesty has expressed deep gratitude for the people of Dolgava and those in the international community in supporting him and his family during this time of great loss.
May Eliyahu Bless and Keep Queen Jaanika's memory, and may he guide and strengthen King Kazimierz in his reign.

The Dolgavan Ministry of Defense has announced that the Dolgavan Government will be working with Banchlov Petrochemicals to create a Phosphorous refinement facility in Hodari. This facility will better harness Dolgavas vast phosphorus reserves, and to help make fertilizer and white phosphorous munitions.
The big major news story of this development, is that the Dolgavan Ministry of Defense is using this development to ramp up production of white phosphorus munitions. The facility will be overseen by the Ministry of Defense, and even if it will also be used for civilian fertilizer use, it will be under military protection. This corresponds with the until recently classified Dolgavan white paper on Dolgavan involvement in the Kundrati War. After it was released, the paper recommends that Dolgava apply more pressure on fortified positions, and white phosphorous, even if it is controversial, would do that easily. The paper also recommended more pressure from the Royal Dolgavan Airforce, and with the recent purchase of strategic stealth bombers; Dolgava will have a great strike ability to take out fortified positions. The Dolgavan Ministry of Defense has developed white phosphorous warheads that can be fit into bombs, missiles, tank and anti-tank shells, and other uses. These uses can be used for both illumination at night, or to hit hardened targets.
Dolgava has been ramping up its military once again, with it being announced recently, that Dolgava will be working with key allies in sharing intelligence, this along with the tactics that have been learned from the conflict in Kundrati, this has changed the way Dolgava looks at future conflicts, and we are better prepared for when hostilities do arise again.
As of now, it seems Dolgava is prepping to bring pain upon its enemies, and with the domestic production of white phosphorous expanded, it will only increase Dolgava's ability to do just that. With this development, Dolgava also has the opportunity to export phosphorous abroad in the forms of fertilizer and domestic uses. This will help Dolgava to develop an industry built about phosphorous mining and extraction and refinement, something that could bring great opportunity to many Dolgavans.

Serafina Balode has risen from a backbencher in the DPP, to the next Prime Minister of Dolgava with the resignation of now former Prime Minister, Cäsar Einhorn. The winner of the leadership race, was an outsider, a backbencher and a beer heiress Serafina Balode. Balode is apart of the Balode family, the owners of Briedis Alus (Deer Beer) which one of the most beloved and oldest breweries in Dolgava, and exports beer across the region and the globe.
Balode was elected 2 years ago, when the DPP retained its majority. She has been an outspoken advocate for farmers, and for rural living, promoting small business, and commerce across Dolgava. She has also been outspoken against corporate monopolies, and her campaign has to "bust" the monopolies. The monopoly busting of her campaign resonated with the Dolgavan public, and the the DSP and the DKP, were reeling to try and form campaigns themselves.
The election results were as follows:

DKP: 8.0% - 15 seats
DSP: 38.9% - 74 seats
Others/Independents: 0.1% - 0 seats
In an election victory in Aikums, Balode called for "national unity" and declared that Dolgava will entire a new "opportunistic age". She has stated that she will take on the corporate elites in Dolgava, and that she will prioritize trade and cooperation with nations across Keris, Seleya and Dovani. She promises to bring stability in further DPP governance.
Despite this being a twist and more populist than previous DPP governments, Dolgava has once again elected a DPP Government, with the DSP and the DKP still seemingly lost in the woods, trying to find their way. For the people of Dolgava, they want more of the same.

The six submarines of the Śuketė Class will be sent to the Submarine Base at the Troll Mountain Complex for a gradual 2 year upgrade and overhaul program. This program will see two submarines worked on at a time, with two bays being open at the Submarine facility for work on the attack submarines. After the necessary repairs are done, they will enter sea trials once again, where the crew will be trained on using the new equipment, and they will once again prepare for deployment.
This program will see the refueling of the nuclear reactors on board, along with the replacement and modernization of electronic components. Replacement of radiation shielding, along with general repairs of the vessel of any wear that may occur on the hull, engineering spaces or in other capacities.
Also the crews of these submarines will have the capability to use the new trilateral intelligence and sonar data from the new intelligence due to the intelligence sharing agreement now in place between the Kingdom of Hutori, the Commonwealth of Lodamun, and the Kingdom of Dolgava. This network spans the Karzon straight and the Mad Dog Ocean. This would mean the Dolgavan subs would have a large advantage of intelligence, while sailing near home waters and inside of the sonor network.
The Dolgavan submarine fleet may be in the process of overhauling and upgrading their existing submarines but the submarines remain on duty to protect the Kingdom of Dolgava from outside threats, as well as provide crucial missions of national importance. The submarines fleet has been a priority of Dolgava's for many decades and will continue to remains so. With the new Prime Minister in power, the Dolgavan Government has remained the same on its policy towards protecting itself, submarines and the Royal Dolgavan Navy will be ready to defend the Kingdom from any threat.

A new year, and a new change in the leadership of DSP with backbencher Kristianna Lasmane becoming the head of the Social Democrats and becoming the Leader of the Opposition. Lasmane is seen as a left-winger in her party, advocating for single payer healthcare, along with increased taxes on the richest 1% of Dolgavans.
The Social Democrats election Lasmane, because she has become a rising star of the labor wing of the party, and she has extensive ties with labor unions, especially the mining and steel workers unions in Noversk, which represent some of the largest backers of the Social Democrats. She is a supporter of working class people, and unions, and has spent her career representing them to the Dolgavan Government.
She also has clout with the progressive wing of the party. She has called for increased paid leave for workers, and maternity leave and paternity leave as guaranteed by the Dolgavan Government. This along with child tax credits, and lowering taxes on middle and working class Dolgavans, has shown her to be very saavy to the needs of working and middle class Dolgavans. As a backbencher, she has argued that if the Social Democrats want to come back as a party in governance, they need to appeal to these voters.
On the growing dissatisfaction in Karzon, she has advocated for schools to teach Karzonian there, which has seen her popular amongst those groups in Karzon.
Lasmane has an uphill battle for not only her but her party, as they look to get government back, but it is a shift to the left for the party and a shift towards populism, especially with regional populism. The Social Democrats are pursuing a new path forward with Lasmane at the helm.

The Dolgavan Economy has been struggling for months, unemployment has reached unsustainable levels, the national debt has grown significantly, and the confidence in the Dolgavan economy, as well as the Dolgavan state, is increasingly becoming a problem. The ruling party the Dolgavas Sociāldemokrātiskā Partija (DSP), has been attempting to support union workers, as well as support those who are on welfare, as apart of their "Greater Dolgavan Prosperity" program, but in doing so, they have led to an increase in inflation, and an increase of distrust in their government. In a nationally broadcast interview, the current Prime Minister Reds Polis, called the economic situation "normal", and cited the slowing of inflation, as well as the growing manufacturing and union jobs, as proof of his economic agenda. "We have worked hard...", Polis said "to ensure every worker in Dolgava is treated fairly and equally. We have and will continue to support and uplift the people of this great nation.This government works for the people, and we will continue to do just that. The economy is fine, Dolgava is fine!"
However these comments are seemingly tone death, as many across the country are increasingly blaming the rise of the "Kerisian Empire", and feckless foreign policy leadership by the current government, as factors that have led to Dolgava dwindling as a country, and as a international leader. Increasing skepticism of Egelion, and the rest of Keris, have led to growing calls for a true Nationalist movement inside of Dolgava, and the Social Democrats and the rest of Keris are increasingly being blamed by the right wing in Dolgava, for Dolgava's growing problems. This seemingly tone death interview, has not helped matters in the slightest, with increasing anger towards the government being spread across the country.
In Aikums, Conservatives and Nationalists protested, calling for new elections, but with the Social Democrats in power for the foreseeable future (due to their majority in the Reiksaima), change will not be on the horizon.
If the government wants to win another election, and continue their tenure, they will need to change things and turn Dolgava around soon, otherwise we could see a rise of Dolgavan nationalism, not seen in decades, even centuries...

Queen Austrina has done much in the past year to increase the visibility of the Royal House, by attending events for various charities across the country, as well as appearing across the nation.
Her tremendous love of her country as well as Dolgavans everywhere, has been made clear, as she has seemingly transformed the monarchy from a passive institution, to one that is active in the community, advocating for political causes that she fully agrees with, and she has not been afraid to advocate for issues that she believes are important, such as the greater preservation of Dolgava's vast ecosystems, as well as better care for premature babies in Dolgavan hospitals and medical institutions. This is due to her mother having great difficulty giving birth to a child, and Austrina being the only child of King Kazimierz. She was premature, and survived much of her early life dealing with medical difficulties, due to underdeveloped lungs. This leads to an issue she has championed, that being lung health, and the great amount of pollutants in the air. She has pushed for greater pollution control, especially around residential areas.
In her first year of reign, Queen Austrina has had an eventful and good year. Today, she released a short statement thanking the people of Dolgava, for their continued love and support in this humble, thankful and candid statement.
