Kizenia and New Endralon - Doc - 23-02-2025 http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=688425 Link to passage: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=688487 Link to Moderation approval: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?p=183897#p183897 --OVERVIEW-- Kizenia and New Endralon is a diverse country composed of three distinct regions. The two largest regions are "Kizenia" and "New Endralon". The smaller third region is "Kuzaki". Each region is associated with a particular ethnic group: the Kizenians, the New Endralonians and the Kuzaki respectively. Kizenians were the first people to settle in the region and it has been suggested that they arrived from Deltaria sometime before the beginning of the common era. In the 8th century, the Kuzaki people arrived in the region from Dovani. In the 18th century, the region was conquered by the Endralonian Empire. New Endralonians (also called Zyldavians) are the descendants of Endralonian settlers. At various times throughout history, the three groups have engaged in violent conflict. Even during peacetime, ethnic resentment is not uncommon. Nonetheless there have been long periods of peace in the country too. --ETHNICITY-- Kizenians are concentrated in Kizenia (Tilarnia and Tiana), New Endralonians are concentrated in New Endralon (Zyldavia and Endrafold) and the Kuzaki are concentrated in Kuzaki (Kutohaderia). The regions are not homogeneous though. Especially in large cities, it is common to find a diverse population. » Kizenian (Romanian)- 43% » New Endralonian / Zyldavian (Hungarian)- 37% » Kuzaki (Kalmyk)- 13% » Mixed heritage- 3% » Dolgavan (Latvian)- 1% » Rodshyan (Russian)- 1% » Other- 2% --RELIGION-- Religion and ethnic identity are connected. Historically the Kizenian Patriarchal Church has been associated with Kizenian identity and Luthoranism has been associated with New Endralonian identity. Kuzaki identity has been less closely associated with religion but Amelioritism is the most common faith among that group. In modern times, a significant minority of all groups are not religious. » Hosianism (Christianity) - 76% --Kizenian Patriarchal Church (Eastern Orthodox with aspects of Slavic mythology)- 40% --Luthoran (Protestant/Lutheran) - 25% --Amelioritism (Calvinism) - 10% --Aurorian Patriarchal Church (Catholicism)- 1% » None/atheism - 21% » Other- 3% --LANGUAGE-- Language is closely associated with ethnic identity. Kizenian (Romanian) and Zyldavian (Hungarian) are the two most commonly spoken languages in the country. Bilingualism is common in the modern day and both languages are commonly used in public life. Kuzaki (Kalmyk Oirat) is the traditional language of the Kuzaki. Even though it is common in Kuzaki-majority regions, it is uncommon outside of these areas. --NAMING-- Character names should reflect the ethnic breakdown of the country. Due to the difficulty in finding Kalmyk names, Mongol names are an acceptable substitute. Ethnic-based political parties are allowed but they must be role-played in a realistic and justifiable manner, in line with the Game Rules. --INFORMATION/TOOLS-- Google translate: https://translate.google.co.uk/ Naming generators: http://www.behindthename.com/random/ http://fantasynamegenerators.com/#realNames Game Rules: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6363 Cultural Protocols Index: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6365 Particracy forum: http://forum.particracy.net/ |
