About Tukarali:

Tukarali is a Portuguese-speaking country with a Filipino native population. Tukarali was colonized by the Selucian Kingdom of Argona (loosely based on pre-modern Portugal) and its successor state the Selucian Empire (based on the Roman Republic but as a colonial empire) leaving the Tukarese language as a legacy, but the native population remained the majority for millennia afterwards. Tukarali is an ethnically diverse nation as a result of very permissive immigration policies implemented over generations, to the extent that a majority of Tukarese descend from immigrants. In this regard, it can be considered to be a "settler nation-state" like the United States of America, Brazil, Australia and Argentina, but even more ethnically diverse, and with a much larger native population.

Ethnicity:

Tukarali has a mixed-race society consisting of Pardos (Filipinos and Mixed-race people), Pretos (Blacks), Brancos (Whites), and Orientais (Easterners).

Pardos is a broad category that includes both native Tukarese (based on Filipinos) as well as mixed-race individuals. Pretos includes Tukarese of Esinsundu (African) descent, whose ancestors arrived in Tukarali in several waves of immigration. Brancos are those Tukarese descended from Selucian settlers as well as from more recent immigration from Majatra, Artania, and other Seleyan countries. Orientais includes both the Mu-Tze (Mongols), native to parts of Tukarali, and immigration from Gao-Showa (East Asian) countries. A small number of Tukarese are considered Indígenas, based on the indigenous peoples of the Philippines.

Language:

The official language of Tukarali is Tukarese (Portuguese). The native Tukarese languages, primarily Datang (Filipino/Tagalog), Borusian (Cebuano), and Kwanto (Ilocano), are spoken by a significant part of the population. Many Esinsundu languages are spoken by the Pretos community, including Orun (Yoruba), Keobi (Igbo), Watembo (Swahili) and Ibutho (Zulu). Panmuan (Mongolian) is spoken by many Mu-Tze. The vast majority of Tukarese speak Tukarese as a first or second language.

• The names of vast majority of characters/'candidates'/politicians should be Brazilian or Portuguese, or either mixed with Filipino names (replacing where possible the Spanish-derived surname with a Brazilian/Portuguese surname)
• A small number of Brazilian/Portuguese names mixed with Mongolian/African/Japanese/Iranian/Chinese/French/Afrikaner/English first or surnames may be permitted, but it is suggested these are mixed with Brazilian/Portuguese forenames or surnames
