Cobura is a diverse, multi-ethnic country inspired primarily by Egypt and Ethiopia, as well as Sudan and the Balkans. As there is no single real-life equivalent for the Zardic (Esperanto) people, they are based on Eastern and Southern European people. For a list of Zardic names, see the "Tools" section below.
