The House of Steuart Carmichael are the long reigning Royal Family of Hutori, having originally been placed on the throne in 4298. The House of Steuart-Carmichael trace their long lineage back to the western branch of the House of Rothingren-Traugott, and have long been seen as the most senior branch of the House of Orange-Vilyan, the still reigning family of Luthori.
The Hutorian Royal Family has intermarried extensively with the various Terran Royal Families across the globe, and uses their influence in what is unofficially known in the diplomatic community as "Royal Diplomacy" where the Royal Family and its members are deployed to smooth things over between Bekenial and various governments through the Royal Families where the official diplomats often fail, with members of the Royal Families able to express themselves more frankly with each other then diplomats can.
The House of Steuart-Carmichael is the wealthiest family in Hutori, with the family's founder, William III, having insisted on the creation and retention of private wealth so that the Royal Family would never be a burden on the Hutorian taxpayer. Subsequently, they fully own the Royal Residences across the nation, and own properities in nations where they hold foreign titles, such as Lourenne, Luthori, Dorvik, Vanuku and Dolgava. 
The current head of the Hutorian Royal Family is Her Majesty, Queen Arianna, though the affairs of the family are taken care of by her uncle, High Highness, Prince James, the Duke of Port Prosperity
