Parker-Stanford signs controversial "Final Alliance" agreement with Triad Republic.
February 5680 (backdated)

FORT WILLIAM - Prime Minister Parker-Stanford signed the last document sealing Imperial Luthori's alliance with the western Artanian state of Narikaton & Darnussia, also known as the Triad Republic.

Luthori's head of government, invited by the newly-elected Triad President Schuhbeck to engage both states in a process aimed at the signature of an expansion of the provisions enabled by the defensive alliance between the Luthorian Empire and the Triad Republic, answered positively to the offer, engaging Luthori in a negociation process aimed at the completion of that aim.

The Prime Minister and the Triad President met for the first time in February, to, according to Number 10: "conclude negotiations on expanding the shared responsabilities of both states within their bilateral partnership" and to "strengthen cross-border collaborative efforts", with the stated aim on Luthori's part to "preserve and cherish Artanian stability through the collaboration of two of its most important states".

The negotiations seems to have ended in a success for Luthori's Prime Minister, although it shall be noted that he did sign off that will fundamentally shift Luthori's foreign policy going forward, as the alliance signed with the Triad Republic represents Luthori's first alliance signed in recent decades, as the imperial government remained skeptic on the necessity of international committment such as in an alliance.

The Luthorian Prime Minister commented on the "necessity" of "strengthening ties" with the Triad Republic, as he argued that the world had become a "much more dangerous place", hence repeating his arguments in favour of this increased committment. In Luthori, the news were taken postively all across the political aisle, with only Labour-aligned (left-wing) newspaper, the Guardian pushing forward reservations about the alliance, pointing out at the Triad Republic's "dangerous ideology of ultraliberalism", their "weak democratic institutions", referring to the fact that N&D's democratic institutions were hijacked by the military and former President/self-proclaimed Queen, Theodora Lackmann.

Other newspapers postively reacted, the Telegraph's foreign policy specialist, Bobby Pentelton welcomed the aforementioned agreement as a "step towards global peace and prosperity", the liberal-leaning Times, applauded the agreement, labelling it as an "important stepping stone towards Artanian unity and inclusion", specialised reviews also granted their support to the deal, like the foreign policy review, the Diplomat expressing their "satisfaction" at the agreement, that in their views, both respect Luthori's traditional pragmatic foreign policy and respect the recent shift in priorities towards the Artanian continent.

The alliance is without a doubt, an excellent agreement on both parties, on Luthori's part at least, it is seen as such. The Luthorians reasserted their ties towards the Dundorfian world, as their relations with eastern Artanian states declined dramatically, for the Luthorians, it meant that the southern flank and the Migrants' Pass, through Luthori's promise signature of the Migrant Accords, would now be covered by either Luthorian or allies, solidfying the stability enjoyed by both areas that are vital for Luthorian commerce with the Eastern World.

In the treaty, the terms about shared defence committments were reaffirmed, with both nations required to enter a military conflict where one of the parties is considered as the "defender", at the request of either party. Intelligence sharing was also added to the terms and clauses of the treaty, as well as increased military cooperation through the creation of a joint N&D-Luthorian command, tasked with enhancing the collaboration between Luthorian and Triad troops. Finally, a statement of willingness to cooperate on "military research and development" was also agreed upon. These points forms the backbone of the Shuchbeck-Parker Stanford agreement, according to the Prime Minister's Office, further developments "shouldn't be ruled out" this soon, hinting at possible future changes at the societal level now that Luthori and N&D's relationship has been upgraded.

Critics from both the left and the right attacked the settlement as being "unreasonable", some nationalists arguing that the current level of relations were "fine" and that the government, through this alliance, opened up the floodgates of a wider "conspiracy to destroy Luthori", some argued. On the left, N&D's pitful records on both human, working and political rights stands as a buffer for further relations, with many left-wing Labour MPs or Radical Democrats to Communists attacking the government for "caving down to the radical right's wet dream". Foreign Office officials, both retired or serving also criticised the government over its perceived "betrayal" of Luthorian foreign policy of avoiding clear entanglements in foreign conflicts such as in Majatra and with Vanukean-Triad tensions rising, it was for them, a "short-sighted" and "risky" decision.

His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Richard II, through the imperial household, welcomed the signature and future implementation of the Luthori-N&D agreement, praising the pact signed by both nations as a "path towards peace and worldwide proposerity and stability".

In a context of global instability triggered by difficult choices made by governments on the delicate matter of foreign policy, the international investment and private bank, Ward Financial Holdings announced the formation of an investment fund specifically axed towards investments in infrastructure projects. The fund was formed in order to adequatly support new infrastructure construction projects both in Luthori and abroad. The move was supported by new investment opportunities opening up on that sector internationally, with numerous government using infrastructure projects as relief for their economies.

According to Ward Financial Holdings' investment branch COO (Chief Operating Officer), Beatrice Wilson, the formation of the investment fund, formed as a private equity fund named Ward Infrastructure Trust and Co., is aimed at profiting from and enhancing the growth of the infrastructure market both at home and abroad. According to Mrs. Wilson, the infrastructure sector is currently experiencing a net positive growth in numerous nations, with governments using infrastructure works as a way to stimulate their economies, decrease unemployment and increase their attractiveness to potential foreign actors. For Mrs. Wilson, the private equity fund formed by one of the largest financial actor in the nation will be a "net positive" for domestic and international economic development.

Quote:We are, through this fund, speerheading economic development by helping both public and private economic actors to engage in sustainable development through the creation of infrastructure projects, which financing will be provided, in part through this fund in the form of investment packages. Our hope, through this, is to act, as a benevolent actor in this era where peace and international cooperation become less and less certain. Through this program, we hope that projects that might not have otherwise got enough funding, get their funding, after all, the benefits of these projects will go to the people.

The Ward Infrastructure Trust and Co. is an private equity fund, which has as general partner, the Ward Financial Holdings, one of Luthori's Big Five banks, through this status, the fund will be largely managed by the banking corporation, with other actors acting as limited partners, such as wealthy individuals, pension funds and others. According to Mrs. Wilson, the fund will have a fixed life of 25 years, where for its first fundraising effort, the fund will be asking for £9.5 billion to be collected so as to act as capital, which will be then used for investment efforts in numerous infrastructure projects both in Luthori and abroad.

According to experts and company insiders, the move was encouraged by the relative stability of the infrastructure sector and the overall high chance that the return on investment will be positive for the fund, and, by extension, for the actors involved. Thanks to the relative stability of the infrastructure market, with demand for funding remaining high as projects are multiplying around the world, it has been determined that this specific market should be targeted in order to acheive rapid gain and expand influence worldwide.

Ward's public stocks at the Fort William Stock Exchange have seen their value jump by 2.03% at the end of the day.

Bank of Luthori announces reducing interest rates from 5.25% to 3.60% on July 1st.
April 5683

Luthori's central bank announced the dramatic decrease of interest rates from 5.25% to 3.60%, effective on July 1st, 5683. This announcement was made by the Governor of the Bank of Luthori, Wilfried Vaugeois. This statement from Luthori's first financial institution came after a meeting of the Supreme Economic Council. Following the meeting, the Bank of Luthori has decreased its interest rates from the rate set on January 1st, 5680 by the same Supreme Economic Council to a new rate of 3,60%. This decrease of 1.65% was justified by "changing economic realities and forecast" by the Bank of Luthori, allowing her to decrease interest rates in order to stimulate the Luthorian economy.

It is widely suspected that the move from the Bank of Luthori was encouraged by Prime Minister Parker-Stanford and his government. The current government is aiming at liberalising elements of the economy and leaving the private sector with a greater role in economic and financial management compared to the state. But, most importantly, the government is focused on encouraging economic stimulus and economic growth through measures that encourage investment, borrowing and financial exchanges.

The governor stated that the decrease in interest rate was also encouraged by "positive forecast" on economic health for the next years, and that the Bank would like to "encourage the potential growth" of the Luthorian economy by enacting measures meant at favorising exchanges of financial products between corporations or individuals. According to the Treasury Office, the cuts will encourage employment, encourage spending and boost domestic investment, all these measures fostering economic growth for the years to come.

The Fort William Stock Exchange reacted postively to the news, with the Stanford 300 index (listing 300 leading Luthorian corporations) jumping by 3.7% in one day, an example of the financial world's positive reaction to these cuts. Forecasts are stating that the real estate sector might be the largest winner by far of these cuts, as the measure will likely encourage further borrowing and real-estate purchase. Large financial corporations have also reported an increase in the value of their respective stocks, although this trend is closely monitored.

Quote:Through this measure, we are reflecting the new condition of the Luthorian economy, we are hoping that these changes will encourage economic growth, stimulated by an increase in economic activities such as borrowing, we are also hoping to kickstart the growth of some targeted industries that will beneficiate from these measures. Finally, our last objective is to encourage long-term direct foreign investment into our economy.

These were the words of BoL's governor, Mr. Vaugeois, when asked about the aims of the Bank of Luthori, and by extension of the Luthorian government by decreasing the interest rates. Economists warn that lower interest rates will have a negative repercussion on the Luthorian Pound (£), with concording reports stating the value of the pound compared to other currencies will be deperciated due to the lower returns in investment caused by the decrease in interest rates.

Luthori to be represented at FOMAT LXI by the Raptures' "Enduring" after close vote.
May 5683

Luthori's participation in the Festival of Musical Arts of Terra was once a certainty, with Luthori usually choosing to not participate to the festival, however, in recent years, Luthori's participation to the festival for its 40th edition was unusual, and the Luthorian FOMAT participation committee stated their willingness to appear in the competition's next edition.

Originally thought to be organised in Kalopia, the last-minute withdrawal of the nation from organisation duties meant that the competition will be held in Valruzia, the runner-up of the last edition held in Bianjie. Even with these changes in organising duties, the Luthorian committee organised an primary where people could vote on the music that would be representing the Luthorian Empire at FOMAT.

The voters chose the Luthorian band, the Raptures with their song "Enduring" to represent Luthori at the contest. The band released the song in 5682 as a direct attack on Mr. Parker-Stanford's administation and the Conservative governments succeeding one another since the Tories and their allies seized back the Premiership from the Labour Party and left-wing coalition in 5673.

This political song acts as critic of tyranny and oppression, and acts as a subtle criticism of the current administration's liberal and conservative agenda, according to many, the choice represents a "deliberate message" sent by voters towards the government, although the LBC, who organised the primaries, rejected the claim.

Are the Raptures the ones that are going to bring back FOMAT to Luthori, after having organised in 5638 the XXXVth edition of the tournament.

Ward provides emergency support to Kundrati's TN bank; seizes 46% of shares, becoming minority partner.
August 5684

Rare is that a private banking corporation offers a large bailout to one of its competitors, or to a potential one, usually it is a government role to handle such policies. As such, Ward's shocking and unprecendeted move has been "observed" by both the Luthorian government and economic analysts.

The multi-billion pound company has today announced an unprecendented £830 million bailout of Kundrati-based bank, Tomasadyn National.

Once Kundrati's pride and leading financial company, it has fallen into "total anarchy" due to decades of Legionary rule and their self-exile to Luthori. Returning to Etxea and Kundrati after the end of the Second Kundrati War, their assets and influence were crippled by the self-made crash organised by the Kundrati government in order to strengthen its grip on power.

Following decades of centralist economic planning in Kundrati, the company's influence and size were drastically reduced. Kundrati's transition to democratic governance helped the company to gain some form of relief, as the KPP-led government re-introduced liberal economics as part of its de-legionarization program.

Nonetheless, it doesn't seem to be enough as the bank multiplied its debts towards numerous creditors, leading to Ward stepping in as the savior of Tomasadyn National.

The "Big Five" institution, in exchange for 46% of the Kundratijian finance corporation's shares, has agreed to bailout the struggling business with an exceptional £830 million capital injection and act as the company's debt holders to creditors, aiming at restoring confidence at the struggling firm reputation with investors.

Originally, it has been stated that Ward proposed a takeover to Tomasadyn National's national board, with the bank becoming a part of Ward's financial group and enjoying complete and total support from the parent company to settle her misfortunes. However, this move was rejected by the Kundratjian government - who rejected that Kundrati's pride be taken over by foreigners, instead asking for Ward's contribution to remain below 49%.

This move provoked debates upon Ward's motives for pursuing the risky financial endevaour as the benefits would be lessened, however, the conglomerate stated that its push for Tomasadyn National's long-term recovery were "not encouraged by corporate greed or benefits", a statement that has raised eyebrows in the financial world.

Ward has otherwise rejected demands for an interview.

The company stock increased by 1.78% after today's session at the Fort William Stock Exchange, a subtle statement of the market supporting this move, as it provides stability and more clarity to a recovering economy, whose situation isn't stabilised yet, even with increased international support.

Bank of Luthori: Inflation to rise from 3.1 to 3.4% in Q3 projection, report says.
August 5684

The Bank of Luthori has today released a disappointing report for the government. It states that, due to the decision to cut interest rates by a whopping 2%, decided in 5683, inflation would rise by 0.3% in 5684 Q3.

While not particularly damning for the government, it's still sending a powerful message that the methods aimed at reigniting economic growth through these cuts will negatively impact Luthorian consumers with rising prices at the grocery store. Chancellor Matthews' office has said that the Treasury was looking "with close attention" the rise of inflation.

While this steady increase in inflation has been notified as being "normal", considering the abrupt change in policy regarding Luthorian interest rates, the government is still pressured to act on these developments. Economists arguing that Luthori has left the "comfort zone" of inflation, located between 2 and 3%.

According to future predictions on the state of inflation, inflation in 5685 could reach between 4 and 6%, excluding exceptional economic circumstances that will render this projection obsolete.

National Labour Party national leader and leader of the opposition, Matt Wensworth, criticised the reports as being a "testament of the government's inability to properly care of its citizens", and has called on the government to "immediately implement measures" meant to slow down the grow of inflation.

Coupled with the Pound's value being weakened in the international monetary market compared to other international currencies, this decision to decrease interest rates seems to be slowly vindicating the government's economic plan, with Yeudi AIG bank creating an HQ in Fort William.

Asked about the Luthorian gov't's continued support for its policies, a Treasury Office spokesperson stated that:

Quote:The government trusts the long-term benefits that will be brought forward by the economic strategy pushed forward by Chancellor Hobart and Prime Minister Parker-Stanford. AIG's decision to create a headquarters translating into an attractive Luthorian market for foreign corporations, which is the effect searched.

The Bank of Luthori's Governor, Wilfried Vaugeois, stated that the Bank of Luthori, was, like the Treasury, "carefully monitoring the situation" and "assessing potential plans" to act upon the conclusions of this report.

Self-determination or annexation: the War in Keris' difficult choice for the future.
November 5684

The war in Keris is over. And with it, the continent enters a period of uncertainty, with the definition of peace varying between the different victorious powers. Kalistan, Egelion and Nadiya, all allied together in order to defeat the military junta in power in the country, but after it? These powers are viciously dividing themselves and any attempt at stabilisation and future co-prosperity might be hindered by imperialist and self-sufficient gains.

Of course, it all begun as a simple, and noble endeavour, with Egelion, alongside Nadiya, in direct reaction to the infamous Nepolesti massacre, where numerous people were killed or injured, among them, some Egelians, declared war on New Endralon and Kizenia, following this action, New Endralon and Kizenia's military government declared an "anti-imperialist struggle" against both Egelion and Nadiya, the latter having previously declared war on New Endralon and Kizenia, after an incident involving a Lesnovian fishing boat.

Following these declarations of war, coupled with an insurgency within New Endralon and Kizenia, formed by the Freedom and Independence Army (FIA/ALI/ASFH), led to a three-year long conflict where the Kalistanis intervened in Egelion and Nadiya/Trigunia's favour, ending in a victory for the coalition forces, as the military government officially surrendered to coalition forces on August 5th, 5683. With peace restored to the broken nation, all would point towards a quick transitional regime led by the FIA and the restoration of New Endralon and Kizenia's democratic system of governance. At least, that was thought at the origin, but as the lack of a peace resolution two years after the war and the Nadiyan/Trigunians not-so-subtly hiding their possible interest at an annexation of NEK lands, peace remains an illusion, two years after fighting officially ceased.

But, while all parties are working for the construction of a new peaceful order in Keris, the divide between powers couldn't have been more apparent. Kalistan rejected a preliminary peace plan, on the grounds that there wasn't "much guarantees" that NEK would remain an independent nation going forward in the post-war world. Egelion's peace proposal required NEK to become a monarchy with the King of Egelion as its head of state, while also seeing the eastern behemoth annexing some territories.

Now, most of the world is asking itself, was this war for liberation or for fullfying imperial ambitions?

This opinion was built in order to defend territorial and popular sovereignty above all else. And, we argue that it's important that nations be given proper representation at the peacebuilding process, especially when concerning their own future. We do not doubt that any of the involved powers will be, with increased collaboration on the peacebuilding process, building a more peaceful continent of Keris.

Egelion's government announced a peace conference in Norterra, where every side of the conflict has been invited to discuss NEK's future. A great advancement, but the lingering threat of imperialism coming from previous declaration of diplomatic officials still grow heavy on the discussions. As of now, however, observers remarks that all powers involved remains committed to the preservation of peace, stability and NEK's independence and self-determination.

Some have argued, that this situation is comparable to the situation in the Holy Land, formerly known as Beiteynu, but to receive a coherent answer to these accusation, I have to direct you to an Istalian newspaper (foreign policy review: Equilibri Globali), whose article on the question is available in Luthorian: A "crusade for freedom" turned into a territorial partition?.

Of course, it should be reminded that, if great powers acts in a way that set up a precedent that carving up smaller countries is alright, then our current world order, holding by the principles of international law and precedent, will be forever changed.

Premier states that he "wishes" to visit Kundrati in next months. A potential thaw in the making?
January 5685

Fort William, Luthori New Year 5685 brought its lot of surprises, but not compared to PM Parker-Stanford's first address in the Chamber of Representatives last Friday.

Convening for the first time since the end of its Hallowtide recess, the Chamber was beaming with noises and questions from all sides of the aisle directed to the Prime Minister. Either to blame his administration's economic policy, or to blame his "weak" response to numerous foreign policy events.

Although shockingly, a question from Robert May MP (Liberal) remained on everyone's minds.

Quote:This question is addressed to my friend and colleague, the Prime Minister. Does the Prime Minister or any members of the Cabinet plan on one day visiting the Kundrati nation to our north?

This question came as a surprise as Luthorian contacts with the Kundrati state remained at a dead-end since the joint evacuation of Luthorian nationals and diplomatic personnel from Kundrati in 5657. Recently, limited diplomatic contacts seems to have been reestablished as the Luthorian and Kundrati government jointly approved of Ward's operations related to Tomasadyn National.

However, what was more surprising was the PM's response to this question.

Quote:I have a responsibility as Prime Minister to answer truthfully to the questions asked by my right honourable friend on the government benches. We currently do not have a project of visiting Kundrati in the near future, but, I might very much surprise the House by telling of my interest and willingness to visit Kundrati in the next few years, if I am still in office. The Second Kundrati War was 40 years ago, so with a government in power in Kasaema, I consider that our nations need to bury the hatchet of war in order to build a more prosperous future for all the continent.

Prime Minister Parker-Stanford's statement, cautiously optimistic, called upon Luthori, and most importantly Luthorian citizens to bury the remaining hostility towards the Kundratijian people. While this statement was widely applauded by numerous pacifist or "panartanian" organisations, it caused widespread hostility from certain parts of the population, exiled Luthorians from Kundrati, some Kundrati-Luthorians and veterans from the Second Kundrati War all raised eyebrows at this statement, with veteran organisation KLDFV (Kundrati-Luthori Defence Force Veterans) chair, Tom Kenneth, simply asking.

Quote:Does the Prime Minister even care about the sacrifice of numerous soldiers to say this?

No official communiqué was stated by Kasaema as of now on this declaration, but many are asking, can peace between Kundrati and Luthori really happen?

Parker-Stanford and Kalistan's Greene Meets in Impromptu Visit as Tensions Flares in NEK Peace Process.
February 5685 (backdated)

[Image: a36327d31f057c546ec84cf3970dd1e0Y29udGVu...361499.jpg]

Kalistan's Foreign Minister Greene and Luthorian Prime Minister Parker-Stanford met in an impromptu meeting yesterday at Fort William. The Foreign Minister, stopping by Luthori to meet with the Kalistani Ambassador in Luthori, reportedly received an invitation from the Prime Minister's Office at 10 Crown Street for a private meeting between the two individuals.

Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Marchal today confirmed the news that were leaked from an unknown source at 10 Crown Street's press. PM Parker-Stanford and Foreign Minister Greene met for approximately 45 minutes at the Prime Minister's Office.

According to the leak, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister mostly discussed around the situation in the peace process and nation-building in New Endralon and Kizenia and the recent announcement of Kalistani support towards the Kundrati state, weeks after the Prime Minister himself expressed his 'willingness' at meeting Kundrati officials in a state visit.

According to Crown Street, the discussion between Mr. Greene and Mr. Parker-Stanford were primarily focused "engaging productive dialogue" between the two capitals. For the Luthorian government, this is exactly what this meeting acheived, with Luthori stating that "productive, truthful and factual discussions about the common relationship shared by nations and their role in international affairs" was the main aim of its foreign policy.

For Foreign Secretary Marchal, who didn't have the opportunity to meet with Foreign Minister Greene himself, this conversation between the two leaders was a "positive development" for the "future state of world politics".

Moreover, according to him, it is important that nations such as Kalistan and Luthori are ready to come up at the table to discuss of current worrying trends in the world. He stressed that "worldwide cooperation between states in order to have information on their position on numerous hot points in foreign policy" was paramount to the success of the current world order.

Marchal reiterated the position of Prime Minister Parker-Stanford on a potential meeting with Kundrati, saying that the Luthorians were "ready" for "peace and cooperation" and that the "ball was on Kundrati's hands".

This meeting happened as worldwide worries about the state of the world were beginning to show off, on one end, tensions in the Holy Land with terrorist attacks becoming a daily occurence of life there and fighting in New Endralon having ceased but the peace negotiations being riddled with tensions between the main actors of the conflict.

According to George Doll, International Law Professor at the University of Fort William, tensions in peace talks were first caused by the difficulty of recognising the intent of some powers involved at the peace negotiations, whether it is to dismantle NEK for their own "irredentist" ideals or genuinely try to keep the nation together after the invasion had ended.

"Nobody knows anyone's intentions here. Is it acting as a guarantor of stability and national sovereignty or act in a way that doesn't reflect these objectives at all."

The Foreign Secretary stated that Luthori "isn't involved in the peace process nor has it any intentions of involving itself into it", according to the Department of Foreign Affairs, Luthori's trust in the "judgment and foresight" of the powers involved remains intact.

Nonetheless, it seems that the Keris Crisis seems to have one benefit for Luthorian statemen, that of expressing goodwill towards Kalistan, whose relationship with the Luthorians has been ambivalent at best.

A little musical touch, according to our reports, the Kalistani Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the Luthorian musicians who have greatly contributed to Kalistani music industry and as well, expressed his support for increased contacts between the two states.

The Imperial Household Ministry announced that the Emperor of Luthori and the Empress of Luthori will be conducting a three-day tour in Kundrati. Following "extended" diplomatic overtures made by both nations towards one another, the Luthorian monarch will be travelling to eastern artanian nation with the objective of stabilising these preliminary diplomatic contacts into real, long-term, renewal of relations between Fort William and Kasaema.

The Emperor and Empress' state visit in Kundrati surprised many, after all, the Prime Minister of Luthori, often made manifest his desire to visit Kundrati during his term, and everything seems to have been prepared for such an occasion to happen. But, at the last minute, it seems that the Prime Minister, according to trusted sources at the Prime Minister's Office, seems to have backed down from visiting Kundrati before the imperial family did.

As Luthori's first and most important overseas ambassadors, the role of the monarch and his consort shouldn't be overlooked compared to the role of elected officials in the Chamber of Representatives or the Cabinet. After all, the monarch serves as Luthori's most trusted diplomat for being a steady hand compared to the usually unstable Luthorian democratic system.

His Majesty the Emperor and Her Majesty the Empress will be arriving at Kasaema on October 12th, where for four days they'll be meeting with Kundrati government officials, such as the President, where meetings between diplomats of both countries will be taking place in the first real, cross-country meeting since decades.

For the occasion, the Emperor and Empress will be the guests at a state dinner organised by the Kundrati Presidency to celebrate the first Luthorian imperial visit since the end of the Second Kundrati Emergency.

The Luthorian monarch's visit is hoped to be the start of a new age for bilateral Kundrati-Luthorian relations, as this move to send the monarch to act as a mediator on behalf of his government remains Luthori's greatest testament of committment into the effort of rebuilding bilateral ties.

The Luthorian government expressed hopes that the visit will "serve well" and will "help Kundratijians to jump aboard the ship of reconcillation and continental co-prosperity", the national government also expressed hopes for restored travel links between both nations, as both the ferry that once served as a link between the Grand Duchy of Shipleyriding and the Kundratijian mainland has been closed following the fascists' takeover of power.

Analysts suggests that it's "very likely" that the visit results in the Luthorian government removing the travel ban directed at Kundrati air corporations, preventing them from entering Luthorian sovereign airspace and to Luthorian air businesses, preventing them from serving Kundrati airports for either connections or direct flights.

The emperor's visit is also likely to restart the debate over the return of remaining Luthorian war deads in Kundrati and also the localisation of potential descendents of Luthorian soldiers who went missing in the island of Etxea during the First Kundrati War, many of whom were thought to have been abducted into the Kundrati mainland.

Emperor Richard II, who was already the monarch during the Second Kundrati War, stated that it was "personally" important for him, to go to Kundrati, stating that the "hatchet of war and old conflicts should be buried in order to allow for new generations to know real peace in our nation, continent and in the world". The monarch, in a rare moment with the media, also stated that the return of remaining Luthorian war deads was of "particular" importance to him as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

He added that he thought that "as Commander-in-Chief, it [was] his responsibility to help families to know the truth about their loved ones who disappered without a trace during the war."

Whether or not this state visit will be a success still remains to be seen.
