Istalia
Anti-Qedarite statement by an FNI MP outrages the country
Despite the leadership distancing itself, a wave of criticism has engulfed the FNI, while the Government reaffirms its commitment to the Yeudi-Selucians and the Defense announces a Joint Operations Command with the Deltarian forces for the International Naval Mission

May 5689

ROMULA - A post published by Emanuele Stasi, a Congressman for the Istalian National Front, on one of the main social media platforms sparked public outrage and the political storm in the past few days. In the post, Stasi harshly attacked the government for its efforts to support the Yeudis in Seluncia, risking even istalian lives for them, and for the recognition of the Homeland State of Amudim, unleashing a scathing tirade laced with prejudice, racist overtones and conspiracy theories, even resurrecting old theories of an alleged Beiteynese plot against Istalia. In his outburst, the MP did not spare the Solentians and Majatrans in general, even going so far as to talk about a veritable "Qedarite plague".

The national leadership of the FNI, in an official statement, immediately distanced itself from its representative's statements, but the political backlash had already exploded. Condemnation and criticism came from all parliamentary forces, who firmly denounced Stasi's words. The already tense atmosphere flared further during yesterday's Congress session: although the topic was not on the agenda, harsh accusations were leveled from the majority benches against the FNI, accused of tolerating and fueling "not even slightly" anti-Qedarite rhetoric.

The government also unreservedly condemned the MP's remarks, reiterating that Istalia rejects all forms of discrimination and racism. The Executive firmly reaffirmed its willingness to maintain a constructive dialogue with the Homeland State of Amudim and to continue supporting the Yeudi-Selucian population.

In this regard, the Istalia Air and Naval Squadron is now ready to head towards the waters of the Migrant Pass, where it will join forces with the Delta forces. A few days ago, the Ministry of Defense announced the creation of a Joint Operations Command between the forces of the two countries, the result of weeks of discussion and planning. This new Joint Command proposes itself as the core of the operational structure of the International Joint Front's Naval Mission to come to the aid of the Yeudi-Selucians, marking a further step in the strategic cooperation between Itsalia and Deltaria.

Eleonora I, Empress of the Istalians
Enthroned in the Transept of Honors of the Palace of the Res Publica, the Empress swears on the Constitution: "I will serve my people with dedication and strength, as my heritage and my duty"

July 5689

ROMULA - Despite the cold temperatures of this July, a festively decorated Romula, with Istalian flags and Imperial banners flying everywhere, and filled with hundreds of thousands of cheering Istalians, the Enthronement of Her Most Excellent Imperial Majesty Eleonora I, Empress of the Istalians and Sovereign of the Imperial State of Istalia, took place yesterday.

The Enthronement, held in the Transept of Honors of the Palace of the Res Publica, was a ceremony of rare solemnity and splendor, one of the most lavish ever seen in Istalia. Assuming full imperial dignity and powers upon the death of her predecessor, as required by Istalian succession law, the Enthronement, like past inaugurations, is not a formal act of investiture, but represents a public and symbolic celebration of the continuity of the Crown. Head of State and Government and delagations from dozens of country from all over the world gathered in Romula to pay their tribute to the new Empress. Among them, stood out King Leon Alexander of Egelion and New Endralon/Kizenia accompanied by Royal Councilor of Egelion Catalina Mondragon y Astures and the Foreign Minister of New Endralon and Kizenia Cezar Istrati, the Head of the Presidential Council of Nadiya Eva Maria Frolova and the former Tsarina Anastasia Alexanderova, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Empire of Kalistan and Ananto Sir Thomas Harney, the Director for Foreign Affairs of Narikaton & Darnussia Dirk van Held, Emperor Richard II and Empress Valeria of Luthori, accompanied by Prince of Orange William and Princess of Orange Mary and by the Prime Minister of Mordusia Denny Woodfort, the Prime Minister of Pontesi, President of Valruzia Urzsula Pawlik, Queen Arianna of Hutori, the Federal President of Dundorf Wolfgang Prawius, the Premier of Xsampa Sherab Aurousseau, the President of Kundrati Alaiza Kubitchek and the Chancellor of the Republic of Badara, Abdul Jabbar accompanied by the Foreign Minister Salman al-Makhtoum.

Departing late in the morning from Quattroregni Palace, the Empress traveled through the streets of Romula aboard the state carriage, accompanied by Prince Consort Marco. The streets, adorned as mentioned with tricolor banners and imperial banners, were packed with cheering crowds. The Imperial Guards, in uniform and parade armor, escorted the state carriage, preceded and followed by elite units and the official bands of the Armed Forces, which paraded amid trumpet blasts, drum rolls and patriotic marches. On balconies and in the squares, flags and banners were joined by numerous banners celebrating the new Empress, while spontaneous choirs sang the national anthem, "Brothers of Istalia".

Upon arrival at the Palace of the Res Publica, the seat of Parliament, the Prince Consort entered the Transept of Honors first, while the Empress retired to an adjacent room, where the ladies of the court dressed her in the ceremonial blue mantle trimmed with ermine and dotted with small golden bees, supported by four children in cerimonial robes.

Shortly after noon, to the sound of trumpets and the imperial orchestra, Eleonora I, escorted by Guards in cerimonial uniform, entered the great transept where the lights reverbered on the golden mosaics. Accompanied by the Imperial Chant, she walked down the long blue and gold carpet that separated two tiers of descending boxes packed with guests: members of the National Congress, high-ranking civil and military authorities, religious representatives, academics, business and civil figures, and foreign official delegations.

Behind her advanced pages carrying on velvet cushions a Constitution of the Imperial State bound in a precious gold case, the Imperial Rod of the First Marshal of the Empire, and the Grand Collar of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Eagles. At the far end of the transept, in the center of the podium, awaited her the Golden Throne of Caleon, from the collections of the National Museum and once belonging to the Kings of Istalia.

After the entrance, the Archchancellor of the Imperial State, wearing sumptuous ceremonial robes and leaning on a long silver and golden rod, opened the ceremony with a secular blessing, emphasizing the Crown as the "source of identity, unity and national memory".

The most solemn moment then arrived: the Empress took an oath on the Constitution, promising "loyalty to the State, respect for its people, and dedication to the good of the Fatherland".

Immediately thereafter, the Chief of the Defense Staff led the Oath of the Armed Forces to their new Supreme Commander, represented by the Defense Staff and those of all the Armed Forces reunited in a delegation that gathered before the imperial podium

Then, once the military delegation came back to their seats, came the moment for the personal speech of the Empress.

Quote:I will serve my people with dedication and strengh, as my heritage and my duty.
I will serve Istalia as the Imperial State serves its people with patience and trust.
My life will be dedicated to the supreme good of the Nation and the well-being of its citizens.
And it is precisely to them, and to their representatives, that I make an appeal to support me in this weighty task, dedicating themselves with integrity to the supreme good of the Fatherland.

With these words the new Sovereign concluded the speech, greeted by a standing ovation from the audience. Then the Empress received the Constitution and the Imperial Rod of First Marshal in her hands and the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Crown of Eagles fell regally upon her chest, ready for the Archchancellor to proceed with the solemn proclamation:

Quote:By the will of the Nation and the Constitution,
we proclaim Her Most Excellent Imperial Majesty, Eleonora I, Empress of the Istalians and Sovereign of the Imperial State of Istalia, Protector and Guarantor of the Constitution, Defender of Democratic Values, First Marshal of the Empire Supreme Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces of Istalia.

Another thunderous applause acclaimed Eleonora I amid the blaring sound of brass instruments. Then the Empress, rising with the Constitution and the Rod in her hands, left the Transept amid a standing crowd. Everyone, except for the sovereigns and foreign heads of state, bowed as she passed.

Upon her return to Quattroregni Palace, the Empress and the Prince Consort presided over a grand state banquet, attended by ministers, dignitaries, ambassadors and the international guests. The evening concluded with a grand imperial ball, not envisioned in the original ceremonial but strongly desired by Eleonora, a personal pleasure but also a symbol of her tenure as heir to the throne, which, it seems, she wishes to carry with her throughout her reign.

In front of the palace, thousands of citizens attended the Grand Concert hosted by the Crown, while community lunches and popular festivals were held throughout the provinces, organized by the Crown, the State, and local authorities with the support of civic associations and local institutions. This is in keeping with the tradition of the Istalian Crown, which has sought to make the inauguration of its sovereigns' reigns a major national celebration that engages and delights the people.

The Enthronement of Eleonora I marks the beginning of the reign of the second reigning Empress in Istalian history, the first was Michael I, under the distant First Empire. This inauguration thus ushers really in a new veritable era for the Istalian Monarchy. A reign that promises to be marked by institutional continuity and the memory of Tommaso V, but also by the modernity and social sensitivity that have always characterized the figure of the new Empress.

Historic agreement between Ajace and Amudim: AJ450 and AJ95 airliners sold to the country's major airlines
It really signify a new phase in economic relations between Istalia and Amudim, involving industrial cooperation, financial expansion and economic diplomacy
[Image: IFXkgVBl.jpeg]
August 5689

ROMULA - An agreement described as historic was signed yesterday between Ajace Aeronautics, the Istalian aviation giant, and a large group of Amudim airlines. The agreement provides for the sale of modern AJ450 and AJ95 airliners and it came after a particularly rapid round of negotiations that confirmed a diplomatic and economic convergence between the two governments.

According to diplomatic sources, the agreement represents "a turning point in the evolution of economic relations between Istalia and Amudim", strengthening a path begun years ago with the expantion of Istalian financial sector into the the northern Jelbic Peninsula, starting from Pontesi and then landing into the former Beiteynese territory. This process has been often criticized for its silent and progressive nature, accused by some observers of exploiting chaos and instability for economic gain, accusations consistently denied by Romula, which has always spoken of normal market expansion.

Over the years financial cooperation has consolidated, particularly after the structured agreements with the Tel Bira financial authorities. Following the reunification of Amudim, this new industrial agreement marks a further step toward a stable, multi-level partnership.

Among the main beneficiaries are United Medinat and Bei Airlines, the two most important Yeudi airlines in Neset and the only ones in the country to operate intercontinental routes. The two companies have already expressed their intention to integrate the wide-body AJ450 into their fleets, considered ideal for long-haul connections. The AJ450, a next-generation aircraft, is recognized for its extensive use of composite materials, fuel efficiency and an advanced aerodynamic profile that reduces emissions and operating costs. The modular and quiet cabin is designed for long-distance flights and high standards of comfort.

Amudim's smaller and regional airlines, on the other hand, have been steered toward the more compact narrow-body AJ95, particularly suited to domestic and short- to medium-haul flights. In its longer-range variants, the AJ95 can cover distances of up to 7,000 kilometers, making it an extremely versatile option. For this customer segment, Ajace has also offered leasing solutions through its subsidiary Ajace Services & Leasing.

In conjunction with the sale, Ajace, through its Services & Leasing division, will establish an integrated system of technical assistance, scheduled maintenance and training programs for Amudimite flight and ground personnel. This system is described as "fundamental to ensuring a smooth and sustainable transition to the adoption of new models".

The Istalian industrial supply chain will be extensively involved: from Ajace itself to Leonardo Turbomeccanica, a division of the Leonardo Group and an integral part of the AUDISS megaconglomerate, to the numerous secondary suppliers working for the large national aerospace industry.

The direct mediation of the Istalian government was crucial: the positive political climate following the reunification of Amudim facilitated the agreement, with the Istalian Embassy in Yishelemen already officially re-established and fully operational, and the consulate in Tel Bira set to undergo significant expansion.

Commenting on the agreement, the Minister of Economy, National Industry and Trade, Valentia Malicchi, stated:

Quote:This agreement with Amudim's airlines testifies to the solidity and credibility of our industry. It's not just a commercial sale but it is a mutual investment in the future, a contribution to regional stability and sustainable growth. The Istalian aviation industry once again demonstrates its ability to compete at the highest levels and build lasting partnerships based on technology, reliability and collaboration.

Historic turning point: Cantalamessa's state visit to Kafuristan announced
Kasraj will host a meeting being already described as "historic", the culmination of decades of cautious openness and negotiations between Istalia and Kafuristan
September 5689

ROMULA - In a press conference at the Ministry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Luciano Pardi, announced the imminent departure of Minister Secretary of State Marina Cantalamessa for an official state visit to Kasraj, Kafuristan. This meeting, according to government sources, could mark a watershed moment in bilateral relations and usher in a new phase of normalization and cooperation after more than a century of estrangement and mutual distrust.

Since the birth of the Imperial State, relations between Istalia and Kafuristan have remained frozen: for decades, Kasraj refused to recognize the new Istalian state, while Romula refused to engage in dialogue with a country toward which she harbored deep resentments related to the Peninsula War, the Great Patriotic War of Liberation, and, consequently, the hospitality granted to the so-called government-in-exile of the Grand Emirate of Quanzar. Two nations marked by opposing traumas, divided by unreconciled memories and a mutual sense of threat.

An initial, timid evolution occurred under the center-left governments led by Annalisa Saragat, when the two countries found themselves cooperating through Hutorian mediation during the Deltarian Civil War. From then on, the diplomatic apparatuses of the two countries, also under the following center-right governments, through meetings and negotiations between the technical offices of several ministries of both the countries, began a silent and cautious effort. Through technical contacts and confidential channels, the two countries reached a series of limited agreements over the years, agreements that often involved also Solentia: defining borders areas of interest in the Sea of Lost Souls, regulating continental electrical and data backbones and undersea cables, coordinating consular and customs procedures for visas, travel and the transit of goods, etc.... This was not yet a political détente, but rather an indispensable work for the "quiet life", necessary to avoid regional crises and maintain order in an often unstable area.

The real turning point, however, came with Istalia's entry into SOMECO. For the first time in more than half a century, Istalia and Kafuri leaders found themselves side by side, working with their colleagues from Deltaria and Badara within the same economic organization, mainly thanks to the crucial mediating diplomacy of both Deltaria and Badara, indispensable for the establishment of trust and common goals. Meanwhile, the small Istalian consulate reopened in Kasraj in the 30s, long a mere symbolic outpost for travelers, businessmen and Istalian Ahmadi pilgrims heading to the holy city, it has over the years gradually expanded, becoming a much more dynamic point of contact between the two nations. It was precisely thinking to the increasingly integrated framework of the SOMECO that Marina Cantalamessa developed the decision to propose an official meeting in Kafuri territory, declaring that:

Quote:The risk of a rift within the organization was now too high, with potential negative consequences, not only for Istalia, but for all the nations involved.

The Kasraj meeting aims to usher in a new era of dialogue based on mutual recognition, respect and above all, the desire to work together to strengthen SOMECO, which, with over 435 million inhabitants between its four members, is emerging as one of the world's most important economic and trade hubs. For many analysts, normalization between Istalia and Kafuristan represents the final step towards the definitive consolidation of the bloc. Markets, according to initial reactions, are eagerly awaiting this potentially "historic moment".
Following the meeting, the embassies in Romula and Kasraj are expected to officially reopen within a few weeks, with their respective Sovereigns ready to welcome the new ambassadors with full honors.

Istalia's main political forces have greeted the news with a cautious dose of optimism. Within the PNL, UOD and PNC, some currents maintain a certain degree of caution, but the overall mood remains positive. The FNI, on the other hand, has taken a very harsh stance: its leader, Fulvio Paglini, has called the initiative "a betrayal of the memory of those who fell defending the country's independence and protecting Istalia from the imperialist aims and demographic engineering operations of the past".

In a particularly harsh passage of his speech to the press, Paglini added:

Quote:And have we perhaps forgotten about the "famous" government-in-exile of Quanzar? If those people ever had children, should we also welcome with open arms the children of those traitors? Does it still exist... has there been some form of succession to that puppet government? Was Kafuristan asked? If the answer is yes, we should demand that those who still boast those prerogatives be sent back to Istalia to pay for the crimes of their predecessors!

Words that drew immediate and unanimous condemnation from the government and the left-wing majority. With a note, Antinori Palace stated:

Quote:These statements fuel hatred and prevent the country from moving forward. The Country must be able to look to the future, not remain imprisoned in the past.

Regarding the reference to Quanzar, sources within the Executive have clarified that there is no evidence to suggest the current existence of such a structure, and that the original members have certainly died for decades. Nonetheless, the Government expressed confidence that Kasraj will demonstrate the same openness and willingness to engage in dialogue as in recent years, and that it will address each issue "responsibly and constructively, in the interests of bilateral relations and the stability of SOMECO".

According to some observers, these words also conceal a veiled message directed directly at Kasraj, an invitation to address any legacies of the past transparently and "adeguately", in order to not hinder the ongoing process of reconciliation. As the Government said closing the statement:

Quote:This visit will be a testament to the courage of both nations and their ability to overcome past wounds, walls of mistrust and to work toward a broader and more strategic vision, founded on the continent's stability and prosperity.

L'OPINIONE|The Crown in volution: Imperial Prerogatives and the new doctrine under Tommaso V
From constitutional neutrality to dynamic monarchy: a redefinition of the Imperial role
by Sara Morgantini, political journalists

CORRIERE D'ISTALIA
POLITICS
November 5689 - International Edition

The figure of Tommaso V, now the subject of analysis in the country's leading academic institutions and legal-political circles, will undoubtedly occupy a singularly complex position within the constitutional history of Istalia. His reign, in fact, represented a phase of profound renewal in monarchical practice, during which the Crown exercised a visible and incisive role in the life of the state, dynamically interpreting the imperial prerogatives enshrined in the Constitution of the Imperial State.

From the early years of his reign, the Emperor demonstrated an unusual degree of interventionism in the management of state affairs and, in particular, in the conduct of foreign policy, marking a clear break with the institutional neutrality of his predecessors. This orientation has fueled a broad and lively debate that continues to divide academics, constitutionalists and public law scholars, who are now polarized around two main interpretative perspectives: that of the so-called "purists" and that of the "moderns".

The former, heirs to the doctrinal tradition developed during the First and Third Empires, defend a notarial monarchical model, in which the Sovereign guarantees institutional continuity without directly intervening in political direction. In their view, Tommaso V's growing activism constituted a deviation from the principle of balance on which the idea of Istalian constitutional monarchy had been based for centuries, and some of the most intransigent even go so far as to raise the risk of neo-monarchical tendencies, inspired by foreign absolutist experiences such as those of the Aegelian or Kalistan schools.

The moderns, on the other hand, observe that the contemporary imperial Constitution, which explicitly requires the Government to enjoy the Emperor's confidence, allows for the Crown's active participation in the country's political life. In their view, the imperial figure is no longer that of a neutral arbiter, but rather of a conscious institutional actor, endowed with constitutional legitimacy to express opinions, propose guidelines and intervene in times of crisis, provided it does so within the limits of formal compliance with the law.

The unique nature of the Istalian system and the role of the Armed Forces reinforce this interpretation. Istalia, while remaining a parliamentary constitutional monarchy, is also a semi-stratocratic state, where military service, or its equivalent civil alternative, is required to obtain political rights and the Armed Forces not only represent a pillar of national security, but also participate directly in the legislative process, electing 25% of parliamentary seats from among their ranks. This presence gives the military a political and institutional significance unmatched in other democratic systems and this strengthens the power of the Crown. The Emperor, in fact, is Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, representing the apex of the chain of command and a source of moral and institutional authority from which the military draws inspiration. The Armed Forces' devotion to the Sovereign, rooted in centuries of imperial tradition, is a key element in extending the Crown's influence and role under the Imperial State.

Added to this is the presidency of the Supreme Council of National Defense, a body that, by design and tradition, combines both consultative and deliberative functions. The Council, whose members include the most senior ministers of the Executive Branch, assists the Government in matters of security and defense but also represents the apex decision-making body on these matters, especially in times of emergency or crisis. The Emperor's role as Chairman and the loyalty of the Chiefs of Staff assembled in the Council further strengthen the Crown's ability to influence national strategic lines, especially where foreign policy intertwines with collective security. It is in this gray area, between constitutional prerogative and operational practice, that Tommaso V navigated with astuteness. Through constitutional bodies and established practices, the Emperor allowed the throne to actively participate in defining the major directions of national policy, both domestically and internationally.

The "purist" camp, in light of these dynamics, warns against the risk of overlapping roles, in which the legitimacy of the throne as the guarantor of national unity could conflict with the political responsibility of the executive. However, the "modernists" point out, the Istalian legal system has robust balancing instruments, such as the National Congress Commission for National Security and Defense, which exercises constant oversight over government decisions; the Crown, whose acts always require ministerial countersignature; and the Supreme Council, whose decisions are implemented by the government and are therefore always subject to scrutiny. Then, of course, there is the Constitutional Court, which retains supreme jurisdictional authority over state acts and the final say on the interpretation of the boundaries between prerogatives and abuse. These and other instruments, the "modernists" emphasize, ensure that imperial activity remains compatible with parliamentary transparency and the principle of political accountability.

It is in this delicate balance that the true essence of Tommaso V's reign is revealed. The Emperor successfully reconciled respect for tradition with a "creative" reinterpretation of imperial prerogatives, adapting them to changing institutional and geopolitical conditions. Far from constituting a constitutional overhaul, this evolution increasingly appears to be an organic response to the evolution of the Italian state itself, in which national security and foreign policy have become indivisible dimensions of sovereignty.

Beyond doctrinal conflicts, what emerges is the Sovereign's ability to interpret his own times, to understand that monarchy cannot be limited to a symbolic role, but must serve as a cohesive element and moral guide, intervening when necessary to preserve the unity and stability of the state. In this sense, Tommaso V embodied a dynamic and conscious monarchy, capable of translating imperial prerogatives into instruments of institutional modernization, rather than preservation.

His experience in government thus marks a turning point in Istalian constitutional reflection: for the "purists", it will remain a bold exception, while for the "moderns", it represents an inevitable step toward the full maturity of the imperial model. What appears certain is that Tommaso V demonstrated how the Crown can exercise power and influence not in opposition to, but in synergy with, representative institutions, outlining a form of active and dynamic constitutional monarchy.

Pursuing permanent sustainability: recycling, energy and sustainable cities
The Government Launches the "National Program for Waste Recycling and Recovery"

January 5689

ROMULA - The Imperial State Council approved this morning a key measure to further developing the Permanent Sustainability project, already approved under the Moccia Governments: the "National Program for Waste Recycling and Recovery", an integrated plan that aims to definitively redefine waste management, urban energy production and the sustainability of Istalia's major cities. Presenting the measure to the press, Minister of the Environment and Tourism Roberta Ricasoli spoke of "a further step toward a fully circular economy and an urban society capable of producing clean energy while minimizing environmental impact".

The plan calls for the construction of new, state-of-the-art waste-to-energy plants in major metropolitan areas. These facilities, powered by highly efficient and emission-controlled technologies, will be able to convert non-recyclable waste into clean energy and district heating, contributing to cities' energy self-sufficiency. At the same time, the government has mandated that municipal administrations adopt separate waste collection and therefore massive investments across the entire recycling chain, with incentives for green businesses, cooperatives and environmental innovation projects.

The Minister then outlined the reform's objectives:

Quote:By 5700, we aim to recover or recycle 90% of the waste produced in the country. This is an ambitious but realistic goal, requiring the collaboration of citizens, businesses, and local governments.

In addition to the National Waste Recycling and Recovery Program, the Government has approved other innovations to be included in a broader environmental package to be presented to Congress. These include the Food Donation Regulation, which requires supermarkets, restaurant chains and public or private canteens to donate unsold food to charitable networks or local logistics platforms, in order to reduce food waste and waste generation. The initiative will be accompanied by the "Zero Sprechi" label, intended for businesses that fully comply with the new regulations, promoting a culture of food responsibility.

For large cities, in addition to waste-to-energy plants, the reform introduces a transition plan for sustainable traffic, with the progressive adoption of zero-traffic zones in cities, incentives for the purchase low emition or electrique vehicle and the development of public transportation and public bike, scooter and car-sharing services. The long-term goal is to reduce urban emissions and achieve net-zero emissions in metropolitan centers.

Lojacono added:

Quote:Our commitment is to build cities where sustainability means quality of life. We want Istalian modernity to be measured by how it produces and consumes.

Laying of the foundation stone for the Great Hall of the Eagle Throne: new ceremonial heart of the Istalian Crown
The project will create an imposing ceremonial hall in the Parco Michele I Imperatore, destined to become the stage of future Imperial Enthronements
[Image: h4k0fqQl.png]
3D redenrings of the Great Hall's project
23 April 5690

ROMULA - With a solemn ceremony attended by representatives of the Crown and the Government, Her Majesty the Empress Eleonora officially began construction of the Great Hall of the Eagle Throne (Grande Sala del Trono delle Aquile in Istalian), the future imperial reception hall destined to become the most majestic setting for official ceremonies of the Istalian Monarchy, first of all the Imperial Enthronements. The 23 April is not a casual date, it's one year that Emperor Tommaso V left us, and the Crown in this day wanted to celebrate his memory with the laying of the foundation stone of a building that was already imagined by the late Emperor and his entourage.

The winning design of the competition announced by the Crown was by the architectural duo made up of Benedetto Remigi and Carlo Donati, who presented an architectural vision combining Istalian eclecticism, Renascentian and Selucian Triumphalist styles. The two-story building, entirely clad in white marble, will have a Selucian cross plan surmounted by a large central dome.

Inside, the undisputed masterpiece will be the Great Hall of the Eagle Throne proper, a space of marble, gold and frescoes, designed to evoke the solemn atmosphere and majesty of ancient selucian basilicas and chatedrals, but inspiration came also from the somptous central hall of the great ancient baths. The Hall will be a large rectangular space covered by monumental vaults supported by giant columns along the walls, with large exedras opening between them, connected eachother like forming side naves. It will be there that the Eagle's Throne will be placed, imperial seat to be used for the most solemn celebrations, and for enthronements of course, and which realization by part of Istalian master artists and artisans already has started. There will be also a Lesser Hall in the back of the Palace, while the adjoining rooms, no less sumptuous, will house art collections and permanent and temporary exhibitions.

The new hall will be located at the northern end of the Parco Michele I Imperatore, the vast green complex that houses the Imperial Mausoleum, one of the most sacred places in dynastic tradition. A large ceremonial square will be created in front of the structure, from which a monumental boulevard will branch off, connecting the square to the river and, via a new bridge, to the Piazza delle Confraternite and Via 22 Settembre. This new urban axis will connect the new building with the traditional route of imperial parades to Parliament, and will provide a solemn and unified route for future Enthronements to the new "stage" of the Istalian monarchy.

As often happens with major works, the project has been mired in controversy. Some observers have called the structure "excessively pompous" or "already 'old' before to be built". However, both the architects and the judging panel defended this view, emphasizing the desire to give a sense of solemn and celebratory antiquity.Furthermore, the Hall architecturally recalls other well-known monuments and buildings of Romula, such as the Palace of Supreme Tribunal, the National Altar of the Fatherland or the Civic Palace, the seat of the municipality of Romula.

Other criticisms have focused on the new road axis, which will require the demolition of several medieval blocks beyond the Sala (the Capital's river). In response, the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage has assured that all significant historical and artistic testimonies will be preserved and relocated, and that the project was developed in close collaboration with the conservation authorities in order to have the least possible impact.

Within 25 months, this is the given timeframe, the Imperial Crown of Istalia will be able to count on a new and imposing stage for its celebrations, a veritable secular cathedral, a place designed to embody the solemnity of court ceremonial and the most majestic and solemn forms assumed by the Monarchy, destined to become one of the new architectural symbols of the capital and a future icon of Istalian Imperial power and tradition.

Government presents Viridia: a "green" public cryptocurrency
A new tool for a sustainable, transparent and participatory economy
[Image: 3ty0opRl.jpeg]

July 5690

ROMULA - The Imperial State Council today approved the decree establishing Viridia, a "green" public cryptocurrency of the Imperial State of Istalia. The initiative marks another decisive step towards integrating economic policy, technological innovation and ecological transition.

Viridia is a state cryptocurrency, issued and regulated by the Ministry of Finance and the Treasury, with the technical support of the Ministry of Scientific Research and Technology and the Ministry of Energy and Strategic Resources. The currency will be distributed and managed through the Viridiachain platform, a next-generation public blockchain developed by VerTech, under government license and control.
Unlike speculative cryptocurrencies, Viridia was not created to integrate into the traditional monetary system: instead, it represents a new economic and environmental tool, designed to reward sustainability, track ecological progress and finance the country's green transition.

The issuance of Viridia will be entrusted to the Viridia Authority Office, a public agency established within the Ministry of Finance and the Treasury. The Imperial Central Bank will collaborate in ensuring macroeconomic oversight and transparency, monitoring the effects of the currency's adoption on national financial flows.

Each Viridian unit will be anchored to real sustainability metrics, such as renewable energy production, certified reduction of CO₂ emissions, recovery of materials and resources and investments in ecological and social innovation. These metrics will be certified by the Ministry of Energy and validated by a dedicated interministerial committee, composed of representatives from the Treasury and the Ministries of Energy, Research and Environment.

Through Viridia, citizens, businesses and local governments will be able to earn digital rewards for verified and documented sustainable behavior, such as the use of public or shared transportation, the installation of renouvable energy generation systems, circular economy practices and participation in environmental or civic programs. Viridian can then be used to obtain tax or social security reductions, finance local urban and environmental regeneration projects and purchase certified sustainable goods and services within a dedicated national marketplace.

Presenting the initiative to the press, Minister Secretary Cantalamessa stated:

Quote:With Viridia, we want to link economic value to environmental value. In Istalia, wealth will no longer be measured solely in Lire or growth points, but in the ability to regenerate, innovate and respect. This is the new frontier of Istalian social democracy: an economy that participates, rewards and protects.

With the launch of Viridia, Istalia is aiming to become an international model for sustainable and traceable currency, strengthening its leadership position in global environmental policies. The Government has already announced that, in a second phase, the currency will be open to cooperation with other states and multilateral organizations to promote joint mechanisms for environmental compensation and climate financing.

Viridia ultimately represents a bridge between the green and digital transitions, integrating technological innovation with social and ecological justice. The platform will be accessible to all citizens through the state-run app "MyIstalia", the digital platform for accessing national services that also serves as a document archive and personal public wallet. This will now also allow citizens to monitor consumption, emissions and earnings in Viridia.

The Minister Secretary, concluding the press conference, stated:

Quote:With this initiative, we are making sustainability as a driver of growth and freedom. Istalia, thus, becomes the first nation in the world to align economic value with the common good.

MIGRANT PASS - The International Naval Mission launched by the Joint International Initiative for the Assistance to the Yeudi-Selucians and the Security of the Migrant Pass has officially entered its operational phase. The Istalian naval air squadron has reached the area and joined the naval units deployed by Deltaria, beginning maritime traffic patrols and establishing naval and air coverage over the waters surrounding the Selucia archipelago.

The joint force is ensuring constant surveillance of one of the most sensitive routes in the region, in an effort to prevent incidents, blockades or interference resulting from the growing internal instability in Selucia. At the same time, the first evacuation operations and airdrops of humanitarian supplies for the Yeudi-Selucian community, currently further under severe pressure due to the deteriorating internal situation, have begun.

According to the Joint Mission Command, currently composed primarily of Istalian and Deltarian official, aid distribution, thorugh airborne launches, is encountering increasingly serious difficulties. Information provided by intelligence resources on the ground, local reports and satellite imagery analysis confirm that some of the airdropped aid is being systematically intercepted by non-Yeudi people or by factions involved in the Selucian crisis. In fact, the disruption of internal trade and the reduction in national production and distribution, is pushing non Yeudis and factions to try to profit, or just to find relief, of the aid.

But an even more pressing issue, however, is further exacerbating the vulnerability of persecuted Yeudi-Selucians trying to fly the country or heading to the area controlled by the so-called Principality of Calantia, currently the only faction to have openly denounced the ongoing persecution: domestic air traffic has almost completely stopped, while maritime traffic has suffered an unprecedented decline. In the areas controlled by the military regime, furthermore, left leaderless after the natural death of Emperor Scipio a few months ago, ports, bus stations and airports are heavily guarded, making any escape attempt extremely difficult. Then, It is gradually being ascertained, with regret by the Italian Government, that is considerable the portion of the Selucian population distrusts the Yeudi, is not willing to help them and indeed, there have even been cases of denunciations and collaboration with the forces of the military regime.

In light of the operational difficulties, the Joint Command has began an in-depth analysis of possible alternative solutions to facilitate the assistance and evacuation of Yeudi civilians. No option has been ruled out at this time, including coordinated sea operations, targeted humanitarian corridors or intensified air missions in areas less controlled by the regime.

The Istalian Defense Staff has already announced that an agreement with Istalian Airways has been reached to place several of the company’s aircraft at the Mission’s disposal, to be operated and crewed by military personnel, thereby significantly expanding the capacity of the humanitarian air bridges. The Triad Republic has also made its southern airports available as arrival hubs for evacuation and aid flights. On Selucia, the air bridges for the moment will interest West Aquilonia, where the Principate already expressed willingness to cooperate, also considering the international support that it is receiving, but the issue there is that Yeudi-Selucians can find a safe place already in West Aquilonia and many of them are not truly willing to leave Selucia, which for most of them is simply their home for generations, and for some even since ancient times. So, the Joint Command is focused on find a way to reach the areas where the Yeudi are threatened.

The Istalian and Delta forces, already fully operational, are now awaiting the arrival of contingents and officers from the other nations of Majatran and the Migrant Pass basin, the only ones authorized to join the Mission following the agreement reached between the Initiative's member states.

In a note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government stated:

Quote:As the crisis worsens and international pressure grows, the International Naval Mission could be the last concrete instrument to ensure assistance to the most vulnerable and maintain the region's security. The coming months will be crucial.
