Socialist-Communist coalition returns to power after 10 years in the opposition

It didn't take long for the exit polls and first preliminary results to announce the winner of this election night. Obviously, it was the left-wing opposition coalition of two traditional allies: the Socialist People's Party and the Progressive Communist Party. However, it is the parties' standing that became the real surprise for many. A referendum on the midterm local elections, where communists surged to their best national election result ever, with 16% and 10 out of the 60 county mayoralities.

After two and a half years in charge of one-sixth of the nation's counties, it was a test of the people's support for PCP's actions and governance. And while obviously, the national politics are substantially different from the local ones, it seems like the communists have won that referendum, receiving their best electoral showing in the party's 200-year history. A whole 14,4% of the vote and 34 years in the nation's supreme legislative body, the Khanate Yuan.

Now that this is settled, the other question is whether the left-wing coalition, dubbed as the "Magenta coalition" by the nationwide media recently, a term coined by the BHK's political pundit Batu Dohing, will have enough seats on its own to form a government, as Yuan's smallest parties, Horizon and Shindoto have managed to stay afloat, and not fall below the 3% threshold. The short answer: yes. The long answer is, despite losing votes to the PCP, the socialists have kept their 5683 numbers, allowing them to re-elect 88 members of the Yuan for the next five years. Now, the magentas will have 122 seats out of 115 required, with the socialist leader, Heshen Asuke, projected to lead the next government.

However, with PCP's representation little more than doubling in comparison to the current parliamentary group composition, the communists will have a bigger say and influence in the new government's decisions, policies, foreign policy and so on. For the SPP, which has been the dominant party in both Bianjie's national politics and left-wing circles, it will be a serious hit and a test of their flexibility, and whether they will moderate their arrogance for the coalition to work. Socialist secretary-general and former Gemun mayor, Tulišen Keben, dismisses any attempts to portray his party as uncooperative: "We had a constructive friendship with our colleagues at the Progressive Communist Party, and obviously, we will make sure that the coalition works as intended, allowing all partners to be heard and take part in the formation of our agenda".

Caiboo's historic victory against the First League 4th-placed team, pushing them closer to the Bianjie Khan Cup semi-finals

Caiboo's eleven has helped to achieve a historic milestone for their team today, as the southern team from Handuba Province, in a shocking upset victory, managed to come out on top against the major squad of the First League, Namušun, in a 1-0 match at Caiboo's home ground, Giyabutala Stadium, located in the homonymous with the team's name city, and Handuba's provincial capital. Alin Liruhuo delivered the decisive header ball in the 61st minute, drilling a fine strike in the top left corner of Norbu Delek's goal.

Namušun, led by Eje Tongniyot, the famous former goalkeeper of the Bianjie national team, almost immediately tried to equalise the score between the two teams, with the striker of the Dolphins, Htun Zarni, sending the ball across the field. Still, unfortunately for him and his team, it would hit the goalpost, leaving Namušun with no goal to score. The increased pressure from the Blues continues until the very end of the match, but the Farmers have stood strong against the wave of attacks from the Dolphins, allowing them to make it across the quarter-finals of the Khan's Cup for the first time in 19 years. As the whistle was blown by the referee of this match, the managing team of the Caiboo let out a huge sigh of relief and happiness, as the fans of the provincial Second League club jumped from their stadium seats to celebrate the historic victory with the players of the team.

Now, Farmers find themselves amongst the three other strongest teams in this season's national cup competition: Dorgi Gemun, Beijixing (Gemun) and Ambagašan. And while for many, if not everyone, Caiboo's fate is certain in this scenario, it is not entirely impossible, that the small Second League team from the Handuba managed to get yet another historic victory, and grab a ticket to the finals of the Bianjie's Khan Cup, alongside one of the 3 other major teams. However, that is a story for another month. So far, the Farmers are free to celebrate with their team, while players are free and will celebrate the 1-0 result against Namušun with their fans, families, managerial team and themselves in the first place.

A major historic upset against the Dorgi Gemun crowns the Second League's Caiboo team as the owners of the Khan Cup

It is an unprecedented and historic victory for the Caiboo's eleven, as the southeastern provincial team led by the Fulušun Joobar wins a spectacular 3-2 Bianjie Khan Cup final match against the last year's runner-up squad, and the Bianjie First League's defending champions, Dorgi Gemun. The 119th-minute goal from the Farmers' star striker, Alin Liruhuo, has once again helped the Greens to cross the finish line on top, this time, making it the final stretch, to win the nation's most prestigious trophy: the Khan's Cup, with Khan Nurhaci personally being present during the match, and taking part in the award ceremony.

What was a shock on its own, that Caiboo even managed to get to the finals, turned into a full-on embarrassment for the Dorgi Gemun, who had not only failed to win the match, but also had not been in control of a big part of the match, against the eleven who are currently 4th in the nation's Second League competition. Still, a first ball in the net came from Gemun's side at the 31st minute, with the Lourennaise left forward Alban Génin finding the net from 8 metres. It didn't take long for the Farmers to respond with an equaliser. In the 37th minute, Caiboo's striker, Liruhuo, found a way to keep the intrigue going in this match, scoring a beautiful goal coming from a free kick after a foul against the Farmers' winger, Tangda. With that, the first half was over, 1-1, an active, yet calm first half. Calm before the storm.

It took Caiboo 5 minutes in the second half to score a second goal, with the Farmers' midfielder Jirga Yonot pushing the ball in a truly chaotic episode in front of the Burgundies. And with that, the game was led by the players in the green uniform, in a complete shock to almost everyone, including the coach of the Farmers, whose shocked face after a second goal quickly became a meme across the Bianjian social media. Still, 2-1, and Gemun had to get it together if they wanted to win the Cup, and they did. When it was almost certain that Bianjie would witness its first upset victory in nearly two decades, performed by the southeastern team, Gemuners managed to turn it around with a late 89th-minute header goal from the corner. The message this goal has sent was clear to everyone: Dorgi Gemun is here to stay and fight 30 more minutes.

Now, in yet another rare moment of the Khan's Cup final match, the game went to two additional times of 15 minutes, meaning 30 minutes total to either score a final and victorious goal, or to win in a penalty shootout. Luckily for the nerves of everyone, Farmers chose the former option, with the star striker of the Caiboo team, Alin Liruhuo, putting a final nail into the coffin of Gemun's hopes of winning the Cup, with a long shot across the Burgundies' half of the field at the 119th minute. To say that the Ilhaiyafan Stadium was loud is, to put it mildly, quite an understatement. The whole, and I mean it, the whole Caiboo team ran to the Liruhuo, literally jumping on him, hugging and crying, as the small Second League team from the Handuba Province, surprisingly to everyone, even to themselves, managed to achieve, probably, the biggest achievement in the 89-year history of the club, by winning the Bianjie Khan's Cup for the first time in history.

Later that day, during the press conference of the Caiboo's coach, Elden Mordi, and the team's hero, Alin Liruhuo, the players of the Farmers stormed the conference midway, spraying champagne everywhere, singing the club's anthem, running and jumping around, with both Mordi and Liruhuo first laughing it out, but then joining their team two minutes later. Now, Caiboo is not simply a Second League club; it is a club that has found itself as a part of the modern Bianjian football history, and mostly, it is just the beginning for the small, yet determined club from Caiboo, Handuba Province.

BHK creative director speaks about the upcoming FOMAT and how it will look
The official within the nation's state broadcaster, who was put in charge of the festival, talks about the way Bianjie will host the 42nd edition of the Festival of Music Arts in Terra, which will be held in Niyalma

Earlier this week, at the Namušun Media Forum, the Creative Director of the Bianjie Broadcasting Corporation, or the BHK, Xiao Sailgi, spoke at length about the broadcaster's plans to host the upcoming Festival of Music Arts in Terra (FOMAT) once again in the nation's second-largest city, Niyalma.

Previously, a Bianjian band from Niyalma, Kongxiang, has won the 41st edition of the Festival, hosted in the capital city of the North Seleyan country of Valruzia. The trio came out on top of the list of participants, with the biggest landslide in recent history, finishing victorious with 95 points, with the runner-up, Dundorf, receiving 68 points. "We felt happy, excited and proud, there were too many emotions at once", the band's drummer said in an interview for Shunkashūtō. Thus, following Kongxiang's victory, Bianjie became the next host of the FOMAT, with BHK announcing that Niyalma would once again host the festival, this time after Bianjie's victory in the contest.

A couple of months later, the BHK came out with an announcement, presenting the design of the 42nd edition of the Festival of Music Arts in Terra: white text on a bright red background, with the sound wave becoming a symbol of the edition, dubbed by a slogan "Keep the Beat". A total of 9 nations across the Terra will participate in the event, including many previous contestants, as well as the Dovanian debutants, Ntoto. Now, Bianjie has time to prepare and set the stage for the final show, which will be held at the [name] Arena in the heart of our northern capital, Niyalma.

On Friday, the creative director of the BHK, Xiao Sailgi, attended the biannual Namušun Media Forum, which gathers representatives of the Bianjian mass media, to discuss the achievements of the past, the current state of the industry, as well as the plans for the future. Sailgi, as the person put in charge of managing the Festival within the BHK, was invited to speak on the matter. Sialgi would then move on towards the topic of the 42nd edition of the Festival that Bianjie hosts, to talk more in depth about the BHK's ideas and plans for the event, including the new additions to the FOMAT. According to him, the nation's broadcaster wants to make this edition of the Festival a "once in a lifetime experience", that people "will remember, and get excited about every time they think of it". "It will be a bright and colourful show, for sure. We want to show ourselves, to show people across the world how we can host, how we can make a difference and a great event for generations to remember", he said. Sailgi said that there could be a new addition to the presentation of the performers, likely in a video format, for which the broadcaster's team is currently in a process of cooperating with the Gemun Metropolitan Symphonic Orchestra, especially considering BHK wishes to see the GMSO be a bigger part of the Festival: "It is my personal opinion, which is, however, shared by many within the BHK, that the orchestra is a tool that makes music have soul, and it would be a great opportunity to, first of all, give GMSO a moment of its deserved glory, and, second, make the show even more special and iconic that it is already".

Government presents a plan for mass investments into the domestic manufacturing industry

A 9,3 billion g'an investment will be distributed towards the domestic automotive manufacturing industry, finance minister Enzhe Wasan has announced during the monthly questioning period in the Khanate Yuan, following the Premier's speech to the legislature about the need to diversify the nation's economy. "We love our farmers, and we love our agriculture, but if we want a better life for our workers, for our farmers, higher wages, better quality of life, we need to change the way we operate, and that includes a need to diversify our economy, to avoid any possibility of crisis, will something horrible happen to our agriculture industry", Premier Asuke said during his address. Finance minister Wasan has followed suit, doubling down on the commitment presented by the Premier, presenting a clearer policy and proposal before the parliament.

Government's roadmap, officially called "Growth That Strengthens Everyone" (GTSE), was published online on the Ministry of Finance website after a heated discussion in the Yuan on Tuesday, where, according to the infographic presented at the end of the 89-page-long document, the State Council plans to distribute about 9,3 billion g'an towards both the enlargement of the existing manufacturing plants presented in the country, including those of the state-owned Haseku car manufacturer, as well as the construction of the new ones in a cooperation with private large businesses, which are either interested in starting their own manufacturing, or consolidate multiple parties under one bigger brand. "For many, these are some enormous numbers to put out and invest, and they for sure are, but I believe everyone must understand that such a policy proposal is equally colossal, and we want to get a proper result out of it, we must invest massively to receive a return payment in terms of economy growing, wages increasing, more jobs, much more attractive Bianjian businesses and economy as a whole, that's what we are going for here, and I want to believe that we will succeed", said premier Asuke in a commnetary requested by the BHK News.

Currently, the Khanate Car Factory, or how it is officially known, Haseku, is the only major automotive manufacturer in Bianjie, producing up to 53 thousand cars annually, with 4 plants across the nation. And still, for the amount of hope and investment, the company does not produce enough results to be a major force on the continent and beyond, the industry minister Giocangga Cimos told the opposition deputy Jobalut during a questioning period. According to Cimos, if GTSE is to be successful, the government expects Haseku in particular to be the biggest manufacturer in the region, producing up to 300 thousand cars daily, with the manufacturer plants in neighbouring or close friendly countries, though he says that is an ideal situation, which the State Council hopes for, but "remains realistic".

Cimos also added that within the GTSE, there is a priority to launch another likely state-owned manufacturer, though that remains up for debate, which will be focusing on producing train cars for Bianjian metro systems in Gemun and Niyalma, if that is to be realised any time soon, as well as the trains for the Bianjie National Railways to use. "I will be repeating this everywhere I go, but we have the resources: our nation is rich with metals; we are rich with incoming experiences of managing Haseku; but above all, we have extremely talented people, workers, who will be happy to get properly paid jobs. So I do not doubt the need for this, as well as do I doubt if we can do it. We can, because we know how to", Cimos replied to a doubtful question from the opposition benches.

Overall, the semi-megaproject set out by the Asuka government is planned to span about 10 years, involving cooperation with domestic and international private parties, as well as foreign governments that would be interested in either investing in the massive project, or letting in Bianjian manufacturers to be opened and operate in their countries, accordingly to the local laws. Finance minister Enzhe Wasan told Shogyoshi that the State Council is already in talks with the banking "Big Three", like Hikona, Aisin, and Cisubank, discussing the potential involvement in funding the project, if the government will require financial support, as well as the investments; however, she did not disclose any results of those talks so far. Magenta majority becomes slimmer, as a new party enters the Yuan

GEMUN: Governing coalition of the Socialist People's and Progressive Communist parties, also colloquially know as the "magenta coalition", can finally let out a big sigh of relief, as the two parties will remain in charge of the government, though with a slimmer majority of just three seats, meaning there is no need to invite a third party into the coalition, keeping a socialist Heshen Asuke in the position of Premier, leading the nation's government, the State Council.

Still, despite all that, a new political record was set yesterday, following the election, as the nation's supreme legislative body, the Khanate Yuan, is now composed of seven political forces, the highest amount in more than 50 years, back when Bianjie had the mixed parallel voting system. This happened after the newcomer to the Bianjian political scene, the Bianjie Sovereignty Party, which was formed by former SPP members who were unsatisfied with the leadership's position on the neighbouring Xsampa and the general pan-Dovanist stance, had finally crossed the 3% hurdle to enter the nation's legislature after two unsuccessful attempts. "People want change, people want a different kind of politics, and our task is to deliver it to them in the next five years", said the leader of the BSP, Desiku Ujigit.

On the other hand, PCP, which had kept most of its electorate going, surprised many who had considered the previous electoral cycle's boom a one-time wonder for the communists. Still, falling from 14,4% to 12% is a significant change, but not enough to push PCP away from the government and relevance. "Here is why so many people have voted for us yet again: because we are working hard, and it shows, simple as that. And to all those doubting us: you disrespect the voters above all, not us", said PCP's national secretary, Tana Duyar. However, almost all, if not all, votes from the PCP went to the socialists, so overall, magentas have not lost much.

As the right-wing struggles amongst itself, the left preserves its spot at the top, staying in office for 5 more years, with many new megaprojects, domestic and foreign policies to go and realise. Heshen Asuke, in his victory speech at the SPP party headquarters in Gemun, has said that the Bianjian people are seeing "very clearly that the promises are being fulfilled", and return the favour by voting once again for the "strong and stable people's government". Asuke added that his government will continue the work on the manufacturing industry growth, equal relations with the nation's neighbours, like aforementioned Xsampa and Midway, as well as the business investments, and other layers of the Bianjian economy, to "keep the progress going, keep the money flowing, and keep the new jobs being created daily".

Cidumu: the longer the instability in Midway continues, the more the whole Dovani suffers

It has been a couple of years since the fall of the authoritarian government in the neighbouring Midway, resulting in a power vacuum in the country, which in its own way led to a power struggle across the nation, as students protested against the military takeover of the central Dovanian country, with the most recent major protest being forcefully dispersed by the military-led government, leaving 12 students dead, hundreds arrested and hundreds more arrested.

Such moves by the military government caused even bigger protests, which overthrew the short-lived military dictatorship, but now, yet another power vacuum in the country, which controls the important Midway Canal, serving as the bridge between east and west, south and north of the Dovanian continent.

Speaking at the Ambagašan Economic Forum, the foreign minister of Bianjie, Eje Cidumu (SPP), has spoken about the situation in Midway, pointing out that there must be action from the Dovanian community, attempting to calm the situation down, and "bring back Midway to normalcy" for everyone's sake, especially Midwayans themselves. Cidumu said that Bianjie is open to serving as a neutral platform for any kind of talks, as well as to help install the new Midway government, and to support it with diplomatic, economic and humanitarian aid. "There are a lot of factors weighing on why I think it is important for us to do it, and one of the obvious ones lies in the fact that we are neighbours, and whatever happens there, affects us", said Cidumu. According to him, it is also a "pan-Dovanian brotherhood" factor, and he insists that Bianjie had already shown this solidarity and commitment to peace and democracy with other Dovanian nations, like Nsanlosa and Ntoto, and will continue to do so in the future, whenever required.

In the end, the foreign minister reaffirmed that he is ready to either visit Midway or receive the Midwayan delegation as soon as possible, to discuss the situation on the ground, and prospects of Bianjian aid and support for the normalisation of the current state of affairs in the eastern neighbouring country.

New Verhamese president arrested following a plane crash as the civil war there escalates
Disgraced president on the run was found by Bianjian law enforcement, and taken into custody until further notice, while Bianjie takes a stance on the conflict

In a shocking development of the ongoing civil war in the neighbouring New Verham, its now-former president, Argat, who fled the country amidst the growing violence on streets and activity of paramilitary groups with intention to overthrow the government. Fleeing the now-wartorn New Verham, disgraced president took with him miscellaneous properties worth millions, and escaped on a helicopter in a southern direction, that is Bianjie.

That is until now, that his helicopter was founded crashed in the mountainous border area, near the border with New Verham, in the northern part of Irudai Province. According to the preliminary investigation, the crash is nothing but a "mere accident caused by a human failure", as one of the engiges had failed while flying across the Bianjian airspace. Following the findings, Argat was taken into hospital and custody, while his pilot died on the spot, with no chance of survival even with the medical intervention. Additionally, BPA confirmed the stolen property and money was found on the helicopter.

Now, the future of Argat is in Bianjian hands, and the state understands it very clearly. Speaking on the joint press conference with the foreign minister Eje Cidumu, the BPA commissioner, Oboi Mangnut, has said that Argat will be transferred to the Dergasari County Prison after the complete checkup in the provincial hospital, where he will be placed and contained until further notice and official request for extradition from the New Verhamese government. However, Mangnut added to this point, something that was echoes by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Cidumu, that Bianjie needs to see a "stable and functioning government" in Chukyo, because according to two officials, "there must a proper reassurance that Argut will be trialled accordingly, and actually given justice".

And for that, Bianjie is ready to cooperate with whatever provisional governments there may come in the New Verham, according to the foreign minister. "We follow the situation closely, and we are concerned about the escalation, as well our own security", Cidumu said. "Bianjie stands on the side of civilians, who wish to live in a peaceful and prosperous country, not torn between warlords". Cidumu said that Bianjie is working closely with foreign governments to being peace to New Verham, but advises against the military action, akin to that of Egelion: "Will all due respect, but I believe actions like these only escalate situation further, and I am sure that it is in our shared interest to being peace faster, not prolong the conflict".

Bianjie will be sending humanitarian aid to the suffering victims, as well opening borders to the fleeing refugees. In addition to that, Bianjie will be patrolling the Carina Sea in order to protect that trade routes, defend against any possible attacks from the warlords feom the New Verham, and aid the international forces from helping New Verham democratic forces in the civil war. "Our position is simple, reinstall a civilian, democratic and representative government that will serve all, not one group in particular, ethnic, religious or political, and we are ready to support anyone who is willing to be that", said Cidumu.

Ministry of Education opens doors to the pan-Dovani post-graduate continental studies institute

As the pan-Dovani movement across the continent is growing, and Dovani's influence and visibility are increasing, it has become evident that there is a need to produce a generation of educated politicians and civil servants, as well as foreigners from outside the continent, who wish to understand Dovani and its context.

With all of this in mind, the Bianjian Ministry of Education has presented today the College of Dovani, which is a newly established postgraduate institute, dedicated to the regional governance, law, economics, international relations, general diplomacy, as well as separate blocs offering cultural studies and customs, to help both Dovanians and foreigners better understand the continent. "Dovani is truly huge, and it is very possible that someone from, say, Dankuk, may have a harder time understanding what is happening in Yerrawa, and who the Yerrawans are in the first place", said the education minister Jingyi Pan. "And that is just one of the many things College is offering". The institute was inaugurated earlier today in the coastal city of Guihecen, in Bei Province.

The opening ceremony of the College, dubbed CDG (meaning College of Dovani, Guihecen), was attended by the Premier Niohon Dusan, as well as the Governor of the Bei Province, Lingxin Gurhas, and other senior national and provincial politicians. In his keynote speech, Premier has described CDG as a "lifetime project" of the current and previous governments, emphasising the goal of turning Bianjie into a regional, if not continental, education and science centre. At the same time, Dusan has said that the College will be a "major investment into the intellectual independence of Dovani", and "strengthen the intercontinental cooperation". Talking about the Guihecen, as a city chosen to be the head campus of the new institute, which is to be located in the Guihecen's historic district, the mayor of Guihecen, Aixingga Kerde, thanked the State Council for choosing his city, adding that it is a choice that will be beneficial for everyone. "This place has long been a crossroad of cultures, trade and, of course, our beautiful railways. Always in the shadow of Ambagašan, but not anymore", he said.

CDG admitted an inaugural cohort of 100 students selected through a competitive process across 40 countries around Dovani and the rest of the world, with places allocated to ensure a broad representation regionally, ethnically and socially. Students will receive academic scholarships funded by the Bianjian government in the first 5 years, but following that period, it is expected that private foundations and other Dovanian states could join in the funding of the College, and its subsequent expansion, as planned by the Bianjian Ministry of Education.
