King Temrkai lands in Yishelem for historic visit
The private airplane of His Majesty the King at the recently liberated airport of Yishelem.
8 February 5689 (backdated), Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
His Majesty King Temrkai VII has arrived in Yishelem to begin a historic state visit in the freshly liberated nation of Amudim. The King is a distant cousin of the last two Banmek-Sntazed Melehs of Beiteynu, the revered Bunjamín and the lesser Wrntukai. Even though the King does generally not comment on political situations, he has often spoken of his sadness and personal conflict in regards to the former occupation of Amudim. The King has stated he wishes for both nations to form a "bulwark against injustice, oppression, and imperialism". During his tightly-controlled trip the Jelbic monarch is set to visit several historical sights, including the birthplace of the late Emperor Bunjamín who was born as a scion of the Yeudi branch of the Banmek-Sntazed's. During his visit he spoke with the entire interim cabinet of the liberated Yeudi Homeland, eventually announcing to them he had every intention to return the Eight Gems in possession of Wrnuke to their native soil. The four of the Eight Gems currently owned by the Jelbic Kingdom are housed in the state's largest museum in Wiel, where they have been on display for almost the entire period they have been in Wrnuke, even during the Worldburnerist dictatorship. The King made it clear he hopes that returning the gems will forge an "ever-lasting bond" between the two respective nations.
Meanwhile, in Wrnuke several celebrations and events were held to amplify the great success of the Jelbic diplomatic corps and the proper liberation of the Yeudi lands. Prefect Anzlék-Zahr was present at a public event in Prinsenaard, where she spoke about the fatal mistakes made by the occupiers. Surprisingly, she did not mention the Triad Republic during her speech, instead choosing to focus on Xsampa. "A decade ago, I stood in Wiel and proclaimed that imperialism would only lead to blood and ashes; today I stand here in this ancient city and I can say to you all that we were proven right. The Xsampan imperialists have left, leaving behind blood and ashes. I pray they have learned their lesson, but now let us celebrate the freedom and liberty we hold so dearly." A cornerstone of the collapsed Grand Coalition was to remove all foreign colonialism in Majatra, a decade ago 80% of Amudim was occupied by foreign powers, in 5689 there is nothing left of the attempted colonialism with only Himmelshtern remaining a part of the Triad Republic which is primarily located on the continent of Artania.

A new Prefect and a new course
Former Finance Minister Intrsmor Shlajkaisrmko Trmékez has been voted in as the new Prefect today.
28 March 5689, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
The political landscape has shifted as in a period of a year the largest party of the nation has lost more than half their seats. Duchess Anzlék-Zahr became increasingly unpopular in recent months as she used her role as head of the caretaker government to campaign. The voter seems to think it is time for new leadership, and the Duchess has acknowledged this message. Shortly after the election results were confirmed she resigned from her role as leader of Wrntu Jelb'koékai (WJ). Two clear winners came out of the elections: Intrsmor Shlajkaisrmko Trmékez and Ibram Bruhsrmko Harif. The Finance Minister of TP and the young political rising star of KB. The voter seems to have shifted more towards an outspoken interventionist Wrnuke, and away from the more left-leaning ideals of pacifism and Jelbic isolationism. With the election results shuffling the Grand Council a difficult formation process was expected at first, but the LP under new leader Jezmrjkai Nrktahyeon was very willing to form a new governing coalition once his main campaign pledges of increased defence spending and lower taxes were confirmed.
As such it was no longer Minister Trmékez but Prefect Trmékez. The 68-year old veteran minister has announced a new course for Wrnuke, one aimed at combining international justice and Jelbic traditions. The Trmékez cabinet plans to invite the King back in the formation process and to appoint the monarch as the first point of contact for all parties, this avoids the lengthy process of finding a mediator. Furthermore, a personal point for the new Minister of Defence, Ibram Harif, is a pro-active push for establishing an international alliance that defends nations against imperialism, colonialism, authoritarianism, and communism. Several ministries in the cabinet will be working towards establishing a new global alliance in the vision of Harif, with some suggesting the newly freed Amudim may be invited to join. New Minister of the Economic Affairs Nrktahyeon will be looking towards greatly expanding the nation's heavy industry, eyeing large defence investments as a primary goal of the new cabinet. The broad strokes seem similar from before, but the emphasis of the Trmékez cabinet seems to large much greater in favour of returning Wrnuke to the position of being an army with a kingdom, instead of the other way around.

Eight Gems handed over to Amudim
An army convoy heading to Wiel to join the security efforts in safely bringing the gems home.
5 November 5692, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
The gems have returned home. Three years ago the King travelled to the capital city of Yishelem for talks with the nation's allies in Amudim, on behalf of the Kingdom of Wrnuke His Majesty made a pledge that the four gems in possession of Wrnuke would be returned. Now, the time has finally come for a majority of the gemstones to be back on the soil of the Homeland. A large delegation made their way to the free state of Amudim, including the King, Prefect Trmékez and the heir apparent Archduke Aldrkai. They were joined by a large security force to protect the gems, as well as several academics closely associated with the museum that until recently displayed them. It is expected that the official handover will come with a great ceremony, for now the four Eight Gems are being analysed by Jelbic and local experts while the delegations have retreated together for extensive talks. Prefect Trmékez made it clear before his departure that he wishes to speak to Amudim about a greater initiative that the government has been drafting. With shifting allegiances and global instability the cabinet is attempting to forge a new organisation that is willing to cooperate on a deeper level. The heavy weight of the gems may play a big role in these negotiations.
At home however, the spirits are less elated. A small crowd gathered outside the State Museum in Wiel to say goodbye to the four Eight Gems that have been on display ever since they arrived together in Wrnuke. Historian Nura Temrtamnr speaks of a historic moment: "For centuries this country has held the largest amount of Eight Gems of any nation ever since they were absconded with from the ancient Yeudi Kingdom, two as a gift from the Lourennaise royal family and two by private auction, during that time here, on display for everyone to see, they have become a part of the national identity - one can say that they are also a deep connection to the prosperity experienced during the Jelbic Empire, where both Bunjamín and Wrntukai used the four gems to sway the electoral vote." She was however not sad by the departure, applauding the efforts of the royal family to return artefacts to their home country. This has been an increasingly personal mission for the King, who previously sent more than two-hundred art pieces back to New Verham pronoucning them to be 'looted treasures' from colonial days. Such efforts have been encouraged by the cabinet as well, with Minister of Culture Kajsjitaj offering to fully reimburse museums that voluntarily return artefacts not accumulated by honest efforts.

Wiel condemns Egelion, offers aid to New Verham
The I. Vlótzgrsho with the aircraft carrier KJW Támnr leading the trip towards the Sovereign Sea.
4 June 5699, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
"Diplomacy is the key to freedom, for all of humanity, and the strong words of diplomacy should always come before bombs and missiles." Prefect Trmékez has condemned Egelion's eager entry into the humanitarian crisis and civil war in the Republic of New Verham. The government has stated that diplomatic efforts were abandoned far too quickly by the regime in Altéa. Prefect Trmékez: "Even before humanitarian aid could reach the shores of New Verham the general staff of Egelion's military had already primed their targets for an all-out offensive." The two nations are formally allied with the Two Lions Pact, though the last decade has seen little cooperation between Wrnuke and Egelion. It is rumoured that Wiel is increasingly critical of Egelion's imperialistic attitude towards international diplomacy, with some even stating that the more radical factions within the cabinet consider Egelion a direct threat to the Kingdom and the greater Jelbosphere.
With an emergency order the I. Vlótzgrsho, or 1st Fleet, was deployed to the region. Several sections of the emergency order have been deemed classified, suggesting a certain payload or further orders for separate naval detachments like Wrnuke's anti-aircraft carrier wolfpacks, so-called "shadow fleets" of nuclear submarines, to stalk and observe all foreign fleets near the Jelbic fleet. The fleet is being followed by two civilian ships that are filled with crisis aid materiel according to Wiel. "We have offered full aid to several factions in this civil conflict, think of things like bandages, saline, general medical supplies, specific medications that are hard to get in warzones, food, water, blankets, sleeping bags, anything that is needed for civilians in warzones." Delivery of the aid will pose a challenge for Wrnuke's navy when they arrive, with heavy fighting and Egelion bombing the nation. The general staff in Wiel is considering issuing a no fly order over New Verham in coordination with other international parties if the delivery poses too challenging for the fleet alone. Last but not least, all refugees from New Verham with Jelbic heritage are offered full integration and a guaranteed refugee status if they apply in Wrnuke, other inhabitants of New Verham will be given visas and priority treatment until the civil war ends.

Conservative-liberal Helná Pshamazrk claims landslide victory
Political newcomer Helná Pshamazrk, 50, secured a swift coalition agreement after the tense elections.
11 November 5703, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
The last Trmékez cabinet fell in July 5703 after a massive split between coalition partners Tanhri's Will (TP), the Jelbics Forward (WJ), the King's Alliance (KB) and the Most Important Brother Party (JP) on new emission laws for industrial giants along Wrnuke's ecologically sensitive 'urban coast'. This strip of coastline is the centre mass of Wrnuke's major cities that stretches from the northern city of Nrktadan to the capital of Wiel. In between these two major cities are the shipbuilding metropole Hafndan, the most populous city Mirztátpylz and the industrial city of Brtléjezstad. The ecologically driven coalition partner Most Important Brother Party wanted stricter rules, which clashed with the party of Prefect Trmékez that has historically favoured the ever-growing industry of the Jelbic nation.
After the collapse Prefect Trmékez resigned as party leader of Tanhri's Will (TP) but continued to serve as demissionary Prefect. Subsequently, the leader of the conservative-liberal Liberal Vanguard (LP), Minister Jezmrjkai Nrktahyeon, also resigned. While the big tent TP selected party veteran Hemze Hemzesrmko Cahn to lead them into the new elections, the conservative-liberal LP opted for a newcomer: Helná Pshamazrk. She had joined the party a year prior, after her resignation as Director-General of the RSB. While Cahn focused on the previous issues Pshamazrk threw a new angle into the campaign and hammered the last Trmékez cabinet their inaction, claiming they only bickered when difficult choices had to be made. Instead, the focus of the campaign became global threats and re-aligning international priorities for the Jelbic nation. The strategy paid off, as Pshamazrk and her conservative-liberals won an astounding 71 seats in the Grand Council. The centrist-populist King's Alliance (KB) under veteran leader Harif was the first to join coalition talks, the two parties found an unlikely partner in the Ahmadi Union (AK) under Mhmet Kamék. The Ahmadist party leader is the first in his party's history to split with the AK's traditional pacifist beliefs, the left-wing conservative party gave the coalition the narrowest majority possible: 113 out of 225 seats.
The coalition agreement is considered brief for one in Wrnuke, a deliberate choice to focus on core issues. The new Prefect declared multiple times that "time spent on minute details, is time wasted". Critics, especially within the party, fear this may lead to future crisis's. So far, however, the atmosphere within the coalition is seen as positive and productive. The agreement emphasises vast industrial investments, with a big focus on increased rearmament to 'counter global threats'. Prefect Pshamazrk has announced her intention to set up a summit with potential new partners. Controversially, it is expected that the Triad Republic will be one of the new partners the Prefect is eyeing. The two states have been at odds since the Liberation of Amudim, where Jelbic-sponsored rebels fought against the Triad in its occupied territories. While the two nations have never fully severed ties, and trade has continued, many are questioning whether the Triad is willing to forgive Wrnuke for its perceived transgressions. The strong partnership between the Triad and Wrnuke's traditional rival Luthori, mostly on the subject of Amudim, might also make any advancements increasingly difficult. Another potential invited party is Istalia, which initiated a thaw four years ago. The new Prefect has stated her intention to pursue Istalian-Jelbic relations. For now, the primary objective seems to be to settle on a new budget which will without a doubt see a strong increase in defence spending.

Wiel calls for tripartite space agency
Employees at the Jezkonz Bunjamín Fahmotrozjkakrna Bahthr Bro (JBFBB) assembling a new satellite.
21 March 5704, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
Minister Lohn-Ginsl of Science and Technology has presented a plan to the Grand Council to establish a multinational space agency with the Triad Republic and Amudim. Currently the nation's space venture, Jezkonz Bunjamín Fahmotorzjkakrna Bahthr Bro - or Emperor Bunjamín Space Research Agency - has limited capabilities. The nation operates several satellites mostly aimed at scientific research and monitoring but a damning report from the RSB, the nation's intelligence agency, and a special committee of the Grand Council concluded there are 'gaping holes' in satellite coverage. Furthermore, the Ministry of Defence has cited national security concerns as a reason to invest more in satellite defence. The MoD wishes to set up a more advanced early detection network, fearing potential strikes from offensive missile networks across the globe. All in all, the cabinet feels that a multinational approach is the best method to go about it. Prefect Pshamazrk also took the time to paint space as the 'final frontier' to demonstrate the 'Jelbic talent for conquest, migration, and exploration'. The Prefect used the historical Jelbic migrations and conquests as an example to show that no boundaries have ever stopped the Jelbic People's. "Let this be the next step, so much of space is left to explore, to research, to learn from, the stars are ours to tame."
The JBFBB has long used a small part of its budget to research colonisation of other planets, with a permanent presence on the moon being a long-desired ambition of the previous JBFBB director Prince Pawl Banmek-Sntazed. The now retired space researcher and distant cousin of King Wrntukai lobbied for two decades in favour of funding and dedicated research into space colonisation. "Space is almost endless, the resources on this planet are finite, our only option is to look further, beyond our home." Banmek-Sntazed long blocked the increased application of the JBFBB satellites for defence purposes and laments the course of the new director: "The final frontier should be for scientific breakthroughs, for the advancement of humanity, not for more petty conflicts." Nonetheless, the MoD now has a permanent representative on the executive committee of the nation's space agency. But, this increased involvement of the MoD could work in favour of the former director's long-cherished dream as that ministry has one of the largest budgets in the entire Kingdom. For now, diplomats are meeting to hash out the first details for a unified space agency and perhaps one day the Jelbic, Yeudi, Narik and Darnussians will live on the moon together.

Potential military partners meet in Himmelshtern
Prefect Helná Pshamazrk arrives in Himmelshtern with the delegation to represent Wrnuke.
9 August 5704, Himmelshtern, Triad Republic
In recent months the government has grown increasingly wary of developments in Dovani and Seleya. The subsequent civil war in New Verham and the rejection of the regional partners of Amudim and the Triad Republic to participate in discussions on the Treaty of Concordia, which then evolved into talks on the formation of a new power bloc have allegedly been taken as the final straw in Wiel. While some called for an abolishment of the Two Lions Pact years earlier, citing the danger of a nation with an offensive missile network aimed at destroying any nation across the globe, the government in Wiel maintained that relations could be upheld to a cordial and productive manner. When Wiel clashed with Altéa during the New Verhamese civil war, the Egelian military was quick to hand over airspace control to Wrnuke's naval aviation forces who subsequently continued with aid packages. Nonetheless, the continued onslaught at the hands of Egelian soldiers has been a thorn in the side of many recent cabinets. With Prefect Pshamazrk's new course it seems that the Two Lions Pact is close to being dissolved, as ties within Majatra and Artania are considered more valuable and less risky. Cooperation in the region was always a goal, but has become a bigger goal than anticipated.
Invitations were sent for a conference on a potential Majatran-Artanian treaty to meet in the city of Himmelshtern. Currently, this city is a part of the Triad Republic, though President Berger recently pledged to allow a referendum within the city on the future of the former Beiteynuese port. This move has been considered a growing commitment by Berger and the Triad as a whole to not only 'talk the talk' but also show the world what the new order truly cares about. That being sovereignty, freedom, and prosperity. These keywords have also formed the basis of the conference called by Wrnuke in Himmelshtern. Jelbic diplomats have worked tirelessly to draft a treaty to present to the nations of Istalia, Luthori, Amudim and Narikaton & Darnussia. The proposed Majatran-Artanian Treaty is considered a draft and no details are yet known to the public, though many expect it to be a standard military alliance. As different delegations arrive the press is following the events closely, with all of them wishing to be a part of the conversations on the new treaty.
