The Nadiyan defense sector has been experiencing a boom ever since the foundation of the Kerisian Empire and opening of the military archives by the central government, this success has shown itself today through the first edition of the Forum for the Sponsor of Peace and Stability in Terra aka Peace-Nadiya.

Ironically, the exposition didn't even promote peace at all instead it showcased the milestones crossed by the Svetovit Corporation for Peace and the Nadiyan-Egelian Military Modernization Commission in their efforts to update and upgrade the old Trigunian designs to meet modern needs for better and higher quality equipment.

The exposition was divided into 5 sections, infantry, ground forces, navy, air force, and artillery also known as Ballistic divisions. The infantry ranged from small guns such as the SC-03 revolver to shotguns and semi automatics and even missile launchers such as the KM-05 and the FN-08 with a keen focus on the new ammunition production methods developed by the SCP that allows for far quicker production even in underground centers such as the 5 military complexes built by the government 6 years ago.

For the air force, 5 brand-new designs were unveiled such as NC-02 and NC-03 alongside the LU-06 and LU-04 designed to ensure air superiority and cripple opposing forces in cooperation with the NC-99 in a manner that overwhelms the enemy and takes them by surprise which allows for a swift destruction of their anti air systems and continued handicapping of their forced on the ground and in the sea. Alongside the new jets and propellers, the Peace Corporation showcased its new refueling aircraft called the Katherine NU-1 that allows for countries to quickly refuel their jets and bring them back without risking losing their air superiority.

For the navy, Svetovit exposed its new Artic-class ballistic missiles submarine specifically designed to help Egelion launch its missiles from any point location in terra. The submarine class is also nuclear powered which allows for a far greater reach without the worry of refueling, this ensures that Egelion can strike swiftly and precisely their target with them being able to easily cosy up underwater before launch the missiles.

Nadiya has always been known for being the odd sheep in the democratic world with its extremely weirdly stable institutions that follow such a hyper-federal and ultra-democratic approach to governance that isn't seen anywhere else in the globe, and it has shown to the world once again that the trend will continue as Songhyon announced his resignation from the position of Chief Executive.

Chief Executive Songhyon had effectively sent his letter of resignation to the presidential council, Nadiyan General Assembly, and the Supreme Cooperative Court for their approval of the move since he already appointed Secretary for the Nadiyan Commission of Accounts, Public Spending, and Financial Transparency, miss Ophelia Totleben as his successor for the position after deliberations with the members of the PCP across all three chambers of Parliament.

"I believe that I'm not fit anymore to lead the Confederal government in my capacities as Chief Executive," Songhyon said in a statement, "A true servant of the people knows when it's time to let go of power and allow for more qualified persons to lead this glorious nation to prosperity."

Hailing from the Matriarchal Utopian Party, Ophelia Totleben served in both of the Songhyon governments with a side position as member of the NCB's board of directors. She is known for her promotion of traditional matriarchal valeus and attachment to faith, but she is also renowned for carrying out successful financial and economic policies such as the "Ten Flowers of Nadiya" program that promoted local development and the lowering of inequalities which allowed for republics like Vrosnok and Lesnov to catch up to their more successful siblings, namely Kozacchyna and Brakav.

Ophelia has already promised that she will make sure that stable and transparent governance continues in Nadiya alongside the planned introduction of new economic investment plans especially in the sectors of fossil fuels since the Confederation lacks the capabilities of processing and refining high density and sour petroleums compared to its competitors in Majatra.

It has only been one month since Ophelia Totleben was inaugurated as the new Chief Executive of the Confederation after her new cabinet easily secured the confidence of Parliament, and she has already began appointing new figures to Nadiya's top institutions.

Alexandra Bacque, co-founder of the Terran Economic Forum and president of the Council for the Future of Mankind, has been announced as the new replacement for departing governor Evelina Maximovna at the head of the Nadiyan Central Bank.

Alexandra is a well-known figure in the Nadiyan financial world, a close ally to the current Chief Executive and the NCB governor, her fiscally liberal positions especially when it comes to monetary policies and the regulation of the financial world earned her the support of the NCB's board of directors given the similarities between her and the departing governor when it comes to maintain the status of the Nadiyan Ruble as Keris' most stable currency and Nadiya's low debt situation.

During her inauguration speech, the new governor highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong and stable ruble in the wake of global stability across Terra that would be beneficial even if a crisis was to ever emerge, Nadiya will benefit from its rigorous financial policies allowing for a softer impact.

Whilst the markets were somewhat hesitant when Maximovna announced her resignation, they quickly picked back up when Alexandra was inaugurated as the new monetary iron lady of the Confederation since under her leadership the TEF has held 9 consecutive and highly successful summer and winter editions of its forum.

5710 has gained the infamous name of "Year of the Great Reshuffling" for the change in leadership across Nadiya's most crucial institutions after the resignation of C.E Songhyon, NCB governor Maximovna, and now it's time for the Supreme Cooperative Court to also change heads

Chief Justice Ukhov Sergey has announced his intention to step down as the president of the court after spending 20 years as its president, his term as Chief Justice was marked by the delivering of landmark decisions such as striking down Vrosnok's explicitly racist immigration laws, expanding the powers of the confederal government, and reinforcement of free speech laws after the rest of a citizen in Lesnov for criticizing the All-Lesnovian Soviet Communist Union.

Lidiya Kravets, fellow judge in the SCC, was then swiftly elected by her colleagues as the new Chief Justice while waiting for the transition period to wait. She hails from the more "progressive" faction of the court, described as a progressive-centrist, she was notably in favor of implementing gender equality and recognizing the principles of fairness and Justice between the two sexes, she nonetheless believes in more powerful and centralized confederal government as opposed to her more federal colleagues.

Her careers started as a prosecutor for the office of the Kozaki Presidency before quickly climbing the ranks and being appointed to the Supreme People's Court of Kozacchyna by the Republic's independent judicial authority. She served 6 years in that court before being appointed as a confederal judge by the Songhyon administration then Supreme Justice by the High Instance of the Judiciary and approved of by the Chamber of Justices.

Her ascension to the position of Chief Justice was welcomed warmly by gender equality advocates while supporters of the confederal system denounced her election as a "clear attempt to strip away republics of even more rights".

In a move nobody could've expected, the government owned fossil fuel extraction and refinement corporation, Nadcomp, announced their backing to the Luthorian bid for the oil field in New Englia.

In an online statement on the Nadiyan social media platform, Birdies, the corporation unexpectedly expressed their support for the Luthorian offer for the New Englian field alongside announcing start of phase one for the complete overhall of the entity according to guidelines put forward by the NCB's Commission for Humane Development and the TEF's Council for the Future of Mankind.

Nadcomp, officially named the Nadiyan Petroleums Compound, has been acting independently of the government's foreign policies ever since the end of the Kerisian war when they announced the start of their "Veins of Prosperity" project in coordination with Nadyrail, something the confederal government nor the republics publicly supported until the NCB announced their approval of the project and allocation of development loans to those two companies.

Many observers had expected Nadcomp to fall in line and support Egelion's bid for the New Englian field but the sudden divorce with the Egelian stance in favor of the Luthorian, and defacto MATO alligned side, has shocked many with the central government not releasing any statement concerning the matter. Instead they addressed the issue offhandedly by reaffirming the "independence of Nadcomp's board of directors from the affairs of the central government even tho we own the totality of the shares."

Furthermore, the state owned conglomerate announced the start of a major corporate overhaul of its leadership, structure, and finances with the assistance of the Terran Economic Forum and the Nadiyan Central Bank. The news raised some eyebrows among citizens as it awfully coincides with the second anniversary of Ophelia's inauguration as Chief Executive of the Confederation and the appointment of Alexandra Bacque to the governorship of the central bank, some see it as the start of corporatization of the Nadiyan economy as more state corporations openly adopt capitalist rhetorics whole some consider as a sign of Nadiya's fastly growing economy and importance in both Keris and Terra.

In accordance with the enactment of the 5713 confederal budget, Chief Executive Ophelia has announced a series of investment packages aimed at boosting growth across Nadiya and help republics utilize it more effectively.

Officially called the "Steps for a smart future", the confederal sponsored investment package of a value of 20 billion rubles it's divided into three major axises to boost smart investment opportunities and ensuring a secure future for the next generations especially in the more poor republics like Lesnov and Vrosnok.

The first axis of the plan is "Sustainability and continued assistance", its main goal is to diversify the economies of the republics and income sources as to ensure a steady stream of cash going straight to the republics without relying on the Confederal Government to do the heavy lifting in terms of budget management. This effectively means that policies like careless spending and disrespect of the NCB's deficit guidelines will be heavily discourage and even punished if the government deems them as too risky.

The second axis is "Societal and demographic long term vision", this one solely addresses the slowly decreasing birthrates in Nadiya. Even tho the country has one of Terra's highest fertility rates in the developed world with women in Nadiya having on average 3,28 children in their lives, those rates are slowly falling down again. Historically, the confederal managed to raise fertility right up by expanding the number of kindergartens and expanding their childcare scheme that offers tax reliefs and even financial aid to new and old parents with couples by giving them public housing units that fit their plans for the establishement of a family. But now the government wants to take it a step further and ensure that children and working parents can properly rest by cutting down on their working hours and expanding parental leaves without affecting their pay.

The final axis being "Infrastructure maintenance and expansion", this one oversees and covers the costs of maintaining the most critical Infrastructures such as airports, sea ports, and roads that aren't already being maintained by the Nadiyan Commission for Rail, Air, & Water Ways. This axis will also tackle infrastructure expansion projects proposed by the republics like the extension of the Zarvospol metro, construction of the N-20 highway in Radin, and completion of the Pan-Kirikan look between Vrosnok and Lesnov.

Military exports from Nadiya have came to a screeching halt as the Nadiyan Commission for Military Administration and Modernization has announced the immediate stop of all military related exports from the Confederation until the needs of both the Confederated Forces and Confederal Guard are met.

The news came after rumors about the NCMAM supposedly planning to fully take over the Nadiyan-Egelian Military Modernization Commission and effectively make sure that military weapons development and their usage remain strictly within the isles and don't exit it no matter what even if it includes triggering death switches.

However, the NCMAM denied those rumors and justified the halting of military exports due "the demands and needs of our armed forces and law enforcement units have yet to be fulfilled and we believe that Nadiya must achieve military self-sufficiency before it can comfortably export the weapons, vehicles, and mobiles developed by our researchers."

On top of that, the halting of exports coincides with the brand-new designs designed by the Svetovit Corporation for Peace from their own 100% Nadiyan composed R&D department. The design that caught the eyes of the public and military is the Deliverer-100, or D-100 for short, is part of a three layered anti air system exposed by SCP with radars, command centers, and army coordination to ensure that missiles within 650km can be detected and shut down with ease.

Furthermore, the Svetovit Corporation stated that D-200, the twin released alongside D-100, is meant to compliment their sibling by acting as part of an anti-hypersonic missiles and anti-satellite system ordered by the NCMAM. The corporation did add that they will conduct further tests to see how effective the interception capabilities of hypersonic missiles by the D-200 so they can further improve them and make the planned D-300 successor even more successful in their task.

Even tho Nadiya is one of Terra's leading oil and gas producers, it sufferes from a lack of expanded refining capabilities that can handle the other types of petroleum present on their land. The issue is set to be addressed by Nadcomp's most recent endeavor.

Known as the "Project for the Intensification of System Satisfaction", or PISS for short, is Nadcomp's newest major economic project. The plan was created to address the lack of proper refineries that can process petroleum other than the predominantly light weight sweet petrol that comes from North western Vrosnok.

In fact, Nadiya hosts 4 different types of petroleum on its land, a petrol sand mega deposit in central Kozacchyna, a heavy weight sour petrol source in Brakav, a medium weight sweet source in Radin, and a light weight sweet deposit in Northern Vrosnok and Lesnov. While the Nadiyan Commission for Cartography and Geology is yet to fully map out all available fields in Nadiya, the country still needs to be able to properly process all types of oil so Nadcomp's efforts came just in time.

Already, the state owned corporation turned conglomerate, has begun construction efforts across 12 different refineries alongside the construction of 4 more pipelines and gazoducs to connect the new refining sites to their corresponding oil and gas fields so they can more easily be exported and distributed both nationally and internationally.

Furthermore, 2 more deep sea water ports are set to be built in Southern Kozacchyna and Radin to more effectively spread out the export efforts that has been concentrated in Brakav and ensure that the three sister republics maintain their own export networks.

Ever since the integration of the Technocratic Alliance of Nadiya and the Love Party into the Pastels Coalition for Progress, Nadiyan politics have been dominated by what many describe as a "defacto one dominant party democracy" in a country that praised itself on the uniqueness of its electoral system. But it seems that the PCP has strengthened their position even further as two more confederal parties join the fold.

It was during the winter party congress of the Freedom Justice Indigenous Party that its leader Olga Nagojut announced the adhesion of her party and the Writers & Artists Pact of Nadiya into the Pastels. The decision to join the Pastels was approved of by party delegates present at the meeting after Olga showed the major concessions and deals struck with the PCP leadership during negotiations that would ensure that even tho the FJIP will officially show the galaxy that is the Pastels, the coalition won't neglect the affairs of the indigenous population and Haivan's special status within the Confederation as its some indigenous constituent republic.

The joining of FJIP into the PCP was expected since the two parties have a long history of cooperation with the latter often granting confidence to Pastel government in exchange of concessions for Haivan. However the integration of the WAPN wasn't even fathomed by many since the the Pastels and the Artists only have a supply agreement with the current head of the presidential council Edda Wahl, and the party's rather poor electoral record, its victories only being concentrated in southern Brakav, didn't make them a top candidate to join the Pastels.

In response to the news, the People's Alliance for Nadiya has announced on their side that the Hosian Matriarchal Democratic Party has joined their electoral alliance which leaves Voices of the Republics as the sole confederal party not within a coalition, but the current collapse of regional nationalism in favor of the Nadiyan one might as well just lead to the party being wiped off from the NGA.

Nonetheless, the expansion of the PCP coincides with the NCEFT announcing the start of the electoral season for the 5715 confederal elections that are scheduled for November of this year. Polls organized by independent organizations such as the National School for Engineering, Vmeste's Think-tank, and NNN's political bureau already forecast the PCP expanding their vote share even further and even securing an outright 2/3 majority while PAN and HR keep cascading in the polls.

As the last polling station closes on Rodashyam and the Nadiyan Commission for Electoral Fairness and Transparency releases the first results from Lesnov, Vrosnok, Kozacchyna, and Lesnov. It has become abundantly clear that Kae Yong-Ja, the PCP candidate for the presidency of the Presidential Council has been projected to become as the winner of this election.

Hailing from the Matriarchal Utopian Party like the current Chief Executive Ophelia, Kae Yong-Ja is a transman assigned female at birth that worked as the chief of surgery for the Saint Olga hospital in Rodashyam before becoming the health minster of the Radin Commonwealth of Peoples. His rise to from a chief surgeon to a health minister caught the eye of former chief executive Yang Songhyon which appointed him at the head of the Nadiyan Commission for Health, Hospital Reforms & Viral Containement in 5709 and making him the youngest member of the confederal government at the ripe age of 25.

Yong-Ja's victory marks him as the third openly queer head of the Presidential Council and the first time two queer council members succeeded each other for the first time in Nadiya history alongside being two presidents that acted as proof of Nadiyan's society rather open interpretation of gender identity and the LGBT question in general.

Furthermore, the major win for the Pastels in the council didn't stop there. The Confederal alliance managed to stun the polls and expand their voting base and secure 77% of the votes and nearly wiping out PAN from all three chambers of Parliament. Chief Executive Ophelia has already announced that a new cabinet will be proposed and that projects such as the planned cooperation between the Nadiyan Central Bank and the Central Bank of Bianjie, the reclamation of land through permafrost melting, and the expansion of Nadiya's manufacturing capabilities will be the projects she will focus on during the first 100 days of her second term.
