In an unexpected announcement, the Nadiyan Commission for Mines, Energy, and Refinement has declared the lifting of the country's long-standing self-imposed ban on the exports of diamonds, amethysts, sapphires, and all precious gems alongside a tripling of the annual production quotas.

The decision comes after a recent meeting between representatives of the Nadiyan Central Bank, the Terran Economic Forum, and the NCMER concluded that current Nadiyan precious stones industry has to undergo radical changes and adapt to the demands of democratization by the global consumer base. Traditionally, the Nadiyan diamond and precious gems industry has been a quiet one given that almost all the gems produced went to the government's vault and just sitting there collecting dust while the country sits on of Terra's most important precious gem reservers. As such, the NCB has begun unloading the gems from the vault and directing them to the NCMER while the mining commission abolishes all production quotas that were imposed beforehand and increased the movement of trains across the multiple mines in Nadiya.

Already, the international Kanjorian fashion conglomerate Renard through their branch Renard Nadiya announced the start of their new "Diamonds for everyone" campaign that aims to democratize the access to precious stones and lower their prices significantly. The fashion house has ratified a cooperation agreement with both the NCB and NCMER to set up secure supply lines to their workshops in the country alongside cooperating with the Nadiyan Commission for Higher Education and Scientific Research to develop and expand even further the lab-grown diamond and precious gems industry.

And as a final note, the Nadiyan government has announced that they will begin sending our letters containing diamonds and other gems to secure mail boxes for each citizen that registers in the website glisteningnadiya.gov.ny and that announcement alone coupled with the recent decisions of the government has already made the price of diamonds and gems free fall across the country as more and more eagerly await their promised goods.

Today were officially launched the first edition of the Terran Olympic, Paralympic, and Youth Winter games. Originally planned for January of this year, it was agreed upon to reschedule the game due to the harsh climate during January that would've put at risk the athletes and staff working during the opening ceremony.

The ceremony started with Canrille-Hutorian artist Leslie Soyer performing the Nadiyan national anthem before being quickly followed by the launch of fireworks along the banks of the Reka Udachi river as the different Olympic delegations were carried down the river on top of boats while proudly carrying their flag. At the same time, the torch carrier entered the perimeters of Zarvospol and began running and parkouring on the roofs of the city to deliver the Olympic flame.

As this was happening, other artists began to perform while the athletic delegations made their way down the river. The most notable of them were the lodamunese artist Mother Puss performing her own interpretation of the Kozaki poem "Festival of the Fools" in front of the building of the Nadiyan General Assembly, and Luthorian artist Elizabeth preforming in front of the Mother Nadiya the protector statue with other notable artists being alongside her.

Furthermore, to emphasize the grandiose aspect of the ceremony, the Nadiyan Confederated Forces launched a coordinated show of missiles crossing the crimson sky and leaving behind them white trails like shooting stars while the newest edition of SCP's fighter jets broke the sound barrier before dropping petals over both the crowd and athletes as they made their way deeper down the river and toward their final destination.

Concerning the torchbearer, he was still performing tricks as he ran down the streets. This was accompanied by 13 artists preforming a theatrical piece representing the pantheon of both the Augustan and Matriarchal Churches of Nadiya on top of the MCN's matriarch and ACN's high priest blessing the crowd as they both stood at the balcony of the Church of the Holy Matrimony showing that interfaith peace can still be achieved during times of tension.

During the final stretch of the ceremony, the torchbearer was accompanied by people holding the flags of every country in Terra alongside the flag of the Terran Olympic Committee and Terran Olympic Team for Refugees and the Displaced before walking up the podium where every member of the presidential council, presidents of Parliament three chambers, and head of the Supreme Cooperative Court, central bank governor Alexandra Bacque, TEF direct Fnack, general secretary of the Nadiyan Red Cross Society, and the representatives of the country's trade unions were waiting for them.

The podium was built in such a way that once the Olympic flame was brought back, it would allign perfectly with the eternal dawning sun that illuminates Nadiya during the spring thanks to the country's position on the artic circle. Then Head of the Presidential Council Kae Yong-Ja declared in a speech, 
"This is the rise of a new dawn over Terra, a dawn basked in warmth, freedom, dignity, and democracy where no one shall feel ashamed of being poor nor be oppressed by the upper stratas of society because they aren't a member of an egomaniac family." He says, "To quote the wise words of our constitution, 'Give me your poor, disabled, hungry, wicked. Give me your widows, your orphans, your broken jaws. Give me your undesirables, your famished, your sick and dying for we shall embrace them under the loving warmth of the eternal. For we will grant them a life of dignity, honor, freedom, and Justice where they will be treated as equals as members of our families, our fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, aunts and uncles as it is our duty as children of this earth to continue the cycle created by our forefathers and propulse it to the stars and beyond. Such is the destiny of Humanity, and such are the principles Nadiya, a nation established by the union of peoples, shall adhere until the last seconds of our existence in this world."

After 4 years of continuous tests being carried out by the Nadiyan Space Agency at the Lesnov Cosmodrom, Nadiya has successfully launched its first two missiles and the first missiles to be launched in the 58th century as part of the Denitsa Program.

Today's from the Nammkhizhing Cosmodrom in Xsampa is part of the greater Denitsa Program, the space exploration program created by the NSA with the ambitious goal of launching a manned mission to orbit the earth and set the stones Satanail program which aims to launch a manned mission to the moon. Needless to say that the Nadiyan space agency has set ambitious goals and standards on itself which is why they've been cooperating with both the Nadiyan Commission for Military Administration and Modernization, and the Svetovit Corporation for Peace for the development of the Starlight, or Svet (derived from the word Zvezdnyy svet so don't come at me!), series of rocket.

The Svet-1 rocket, the one engineered to carry out this mission is considered as both a test of NCMAM's capabilities in restoring defunct Trigunian models but also act as a great show of the SCP's technologies which is intercontinental ballistic missiles in this case. It didn't take long for Svetovit to announce their brand-new missile family the Nirminsty class and capitalize on the success with the Nadiyan military.

Speaking of stuff other than rockets, the Rassvet-1 satellite the one launched from Xsampa was placed on an equatorial orbit and serves the purpose of improving the communication field for Nadiya and especially the Nadiyan News Network which has seen its range nearly double which is already seeing its customer base expand. The Rassvet-2 satellite, launched from the Lesnov Cosmodrom in coordination with the Nammkhizhing center, will scan the surface of Terra and act as an intelligence satellite transferring data directly to both the Commission for the Preservation of Nadiyan Pride and the Nadiyan-owned research engine Biblioteka's navigation and localisation service.

After the operation was carried out successfully, NSA director Maxim Panarin thanked Xsampa for allowing Nadiya to use their cosmodrom to further Humanity's understanding of the cosmos. He also announced that with accordance to the planned launch of 3 space imaging satellites in 28, 29, and 30, the NSA will make sure the images captured are available to the public through their website NSA.images.gov.ny

Following the successful launch of Nadiya's first two satellites two weeks ago, NSA director Maxim Panarin has already announced the opening of Nadiya's cosmonaut training centers to every space agency across Terra.

The announcement comes following the receiving of a formal telegraph from Kalistan's ISCA and the recent foundation of the Dovanian Space Agency has encouraged Nadiya to reach toward both of these organizations to set up a formal cooperation treaty that would help facilitate the construction of rockets, their deployment, and the preparation for a manned orbital mission by the year 32 if the current pace of research remains unchanged.

When asked wether or not Nadiya would want to engage in a space race against the DSA, Panarin replied, "It's not a question of who sends the first human into orbit first or who sends the first manned mission to Luna, it's about furthering human understanding of our universe while ensuring that the entirety of human kind benefits not just something to stroke our ego." He then added, "If other space agencies want to cooperate, send in their candidate for training, or set up an organized supply chain, we would be more than happy to welcome them with open arms. However if instead of accepting our outreached hand, they slap it, then we will just ignore them and continue following our scheduled flights for our programs while cooperating with our partners. So no, entering into some sort of space race would just the equivalent of entering a bidding process for the sole reason that you want to bankrupt your enemy."

In a bizarre cascade of events, the Nadiyan Space Agency and Kalistan's Imperial Space & Communication Agency have ratified a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the fields of space exploration and scientific research, something nobody expected given the history between Nadiya and Kalistan.

This comes after the successful launch of two Nadiyan satellites earlier this year, the declarations of the NSA's director calling for international cooperation in the fields of science and technology, and the ISCA sending a formal telegraph to the NSA. This culminated in the organization of talks between the two space authorities to iron out a deal that would benefit both sides equally.

Historically speaking, Nadiya has held a position of diplomatic indifference toward the Kalistanis empire with the former Secretary of the Nadiyan Commission for Foreign Affairs Tryndina Valeriya saying, "If they want to work with us, sure we'll welcome it with open arms, but if they decide to have a one sided issue with us, let them have it because we frankly don't care." So it was quite the shock that the government would approve of the NSA-ISCA talks, yet some see this as a possible opportunity for the naturalization of relations between the Confederation and the Empire but that's far from likely.

Nonetheless, as per the agreement signed between the two agencies, Kalistanis candidates will be trained in the NSA's cosmonaut training centers alongside the assembly of rocket parts in Kalistan and their shipment to Nadiya for the conduction of tests at the Lesnovian cosmodrom and any new technologies discovered using Kalistanis rockets wouldn't be used in something other than the civilian sector, the NSA reaffirmed in a statement.

Furthermore, director Panarim has also announced that the schedule of launches for the Denitsa program is set to be shortened drastically given that the NSA won't have to rely on developing entire new rocket designs based on defunct Trigunian blueprints and instead mix them with Kalistanis rockets to maximize the efficiency of them. Maxim didn't specify how much the schedule was going to be revised, but he did confirm that the target of launch cosmonauts onto orbit has been set at 5731 even 5730  instead of the originally scheduled 5736/37.

Nadiya's headed to the polls today to elect a brand-new legislature and presidential council alongside their local councils and regional assemblies after some delays caused by the exceptionality that were the 5725 winter games and the holding of snap elections for the renewal of half the seat in the Constitutional Convention.

Nonetheless, elections were held in an orderly manner with the last voting office closing in Radin at 9pm and the vote counting starting as early as 5pm in Vrosnok. Turnout this year was higher than expected, 84% of eligible voters caste their ballots a 12,3% jump from the last confederal elections. This could be explained by the ongoing constitutional convention and the spectacular rise of approval toward a possible transition of Nadiyan toward a socialist system.

So it was under those circumstances that ANCP candidate Polyakova Olga, former professor of constitutional and former minister of higher education for the Radinese SSR, defeated MUP candidate Pshenichnikova Anastasiya by securing 58% of the votes and finally breaking the 40 years streak of PCP candidates winning the head of the presidential council. Her victory is part of a broader red wave that has taken Nadiya by suprise as the People's Alliance for Nadiya and more specifically the All-Nadiyan Communist Party have seen historic results today.

Already, the PAN has secured 47,2% of the popular votes just shy of an outright majority with the ANCP itself making up 89,3% of those votes and greatly out performing the polls which had PAN hovering at 40% and the ANCP by itself at 24% which reflects the successful campaign organized by the Rodashyam Accords leadership of the ANCP that capitalized on promoting metzist ideals through sheer populism and tapping onto the discontent generated by 40 years of uninterrupted PCP governance. 

The PAN has already announced that they have began negotiations with both the Freedom and Justice Indigenous Party and the Technocratic Alliance of Nadiya for the formation of a PAN minority government using a confidence and supply agreement that would allow for PAN to carry out their program without a hitch even tho they don't have a majority.

For the first time in the history of the Confederation, a PAN-led government has been installed by the Nadiyan General Assembly following the 8th confederal elections of 5726. The People's Alliance for Nadiya, previously known as the Revolutionary Association for the Unification of Nadiya prior to the proclamation of the Confederation in 5640, was once considered as the natural part of governance of the NEC given the success of the Socialist Revolutionary Association of Nadiya during NEC elections and government formations.

Yet, after the unification of the isles and a change of leadership in both the SRs and ANCP, the PAN collapsed in relevance and only was a member of government once but as a junior partner. The reason for the irrelevance of PAN mainly stems from the ANCP incompetent leadership and their inability to tap into popular frustrations like they used to, so this election was more of a test if Soviet populism can have a place in the Nadiyan political arena.

Ulyana Pavlina, member of the ANCP and former president of Kozacchyna for 10 years, she's part of the notorious Pavlina political dynasty alongside the 4 other dynasties that dominate Nadiyan regional and national politics such as the Novikovas in Vrosnok and Frolovas in Radin alongside the Baek. Ulyana is specifically famous for her "Kozakis everywhere and anywhere" where the use of the Kozaki language was mandated on rural oblasts that didn't obey by the laws of the republic at the time which led to the use of Kozaki as the primary language jump from 68% to 83,27% in Kozacchyna.

Nonetheless, during her inauguration speech Ulyana vowed to double the minimum wage in Nadiya from 2000 rubles to 4000 rubles by the end of her first term as Chief Executive of the Confederation. She also to implement socialist policies such as hardening the current luxury housing and leisure bans to the point where they don't exist anymore alongside empowering trade unions even further and increasing the number of bank holidays alongside examining the possibility of lowering the number of work days from 5 to 4 for non essential sectors.

Her appointment at helm of governance signals that the populistic tactics employed by PAN were more than successful, in fact it helped them outperform the polls and secure nearly 50% of the popular vote and thus a majority in the NGA, and that tapping into popular ideas like communism and Soviet patriotism is what made them win the election even more easily.

Even when some nations tried curbing down the global consumption of fossil fuel and failed spectacularly, the prospects of inter-petroleum state cooperation have never been better as the Nadcomp and the Gaduris government have ratified a memorandum of understanding and cooperation.

The Nadiyan Petroleum & Natural Gas Compound, Nadcomp, Nadiya's state-owned and largest fossil fuel corporation which has surpassed its competitors such as Neftkomp thanks to both the state apparatus working in their favor and their strategic development opportunities have made it one of Terra's leading and most valuable oil companies. So in order to expand both their influence and maintain the status of petrol as Terra's engine, Nadcomp turned fo Gaduridos a rather significant state which has been struggling in improving their production efficiency.

The cooperation treaty ratified between Nadcomp and the government of Gaduridos sets up an exchange program between Nadiya and Gaduridos in the form of directors of PeGad to train in Nadcomp facilities while Nadiya sends hydrocarbure engineers alongside university teachers specialized in the fields of processes from the Higher Confederal School of Hydrocarbure in Volosgrad, Vrosnok.

On top of that, Gaduris students will be granted full coverage scholarships to Nadiyan universities with priority given to students seeking the field of chemical processing and hydrocarbures given that's what Gaduridos needs urgently. The scholarship system also includes the lifting of all visa requirements on Gaduris citizens and allowing them to stay in Nadiya for up to 365 without justification unless they want to work in the country, then they will have to obtain a work permit.

In news that shocked nobody, the third Constitutional Convention has passed unanimously an amendment removing all mentions of the monarchy from the Nadiyan constitution alongside dismantling the Commission for Royal Affairs & Titles judging it as ineffective, useless, and a waste of manpower.

The amendment called Nadiya Back On Track Act, proposed by Communist constitutionalists, effectively shatters both the position of monarch and dismantles all royal titles alongside lifting the recognition of regional royal families. This comes after a recent poll conducted by Vmeste had shown the monarchy at an all time low approval and a series of popular initiatives launched to hold a referendum about the abolition of the monarchy was the final nail in the coffin of the issue. The incumbent Tsarina Carolina has seen her seat in the Presidential Council dissolved, the Princess & Tsarina Association of Nadiya dismantled, and all her royal titles nullified overnight with the same fate happening to the remaining royals in Nadiya.

On top of that, the convention also passed an amendment transitioning Nadiyan from the Nadiyan Confederation to the Confederation of Soviet Socialist Republics alongside adding a line to the opening page of the constitution which says "The Confederation is built on the might of the Nadiyan proletariat and their belief in the democratic republican & proletarian ideals of the Confederation."

Accompanying the transition, the Presidential Council was renamed to the Presidium of the Confederation and sees the number of seats jump from 7 to 13 due to head of state of each republic being granted a seat to the council to represent more directly the Confederated Republics and have more of a say over the policies adopted by the Confederation. The position of Chief Executive was also renamed to Premier of the Council of Commissions, or Premier of the Confederation for short, with nothing changing in terms of the powers granted to the head of government.

To close the knot over the changes in Nadiya, the Constitutional Convention adopted a motion changing the country's economic model from state capitalism to market communism. Ignoring the obvious oxymoron in the title, the motion originally intended for the adoption of a strictly planned economy but the Nadiyan Central Bank triggered their constitutional powers and influenced the votes on the grounds of "preserving Nadiya's economic prosperity by blending in the benefits of the markets and advantages given by the assured growth of the planned economic model."

Following the launch of Larissa Novikova imagining satellite earlier this year from the cosmodrom in Xsampa alongside the deployment of 4 more intelligence and telecommunication satellites, the NSA has spent these few months examining the images taken by the Novikova satellite helped give a new list of names for the planets that only Nadiya will use.

The new names adopted by the NSA are:
Yuravit: the first and smallest of the 4 rocky planets, it's named after the Augustan god of Day and Light due to its extreme proximity to the sun 
Paparuda: the second rocky planet, named after the Augustan goddess of love and beauty because of its unique ability to look like a pearl in the night sky
Terra: the third rocky planet and our current home also known as the blue sphere
Ares: the fourth and final rocky planet also known as the red planet
Parnum: the first and biggest gas giant, it's named after the Augustan god of lightening and thunder due to the massive storms scarring its surface
Divonaya: the second gas giant, named after the Augustan goddess of nature and hunting due to the rings ordaining it which resemble the ones worn by the goddess in myths
Maslenka: the third gas giant, named after the goddess of rebirth and spring due to scientists speculating that the planet is still recovering from a major impact that caused it to tilt on its equator 
Svimedr: the fourth gas giant, named after the god of darkness and night because of its extremely distant position from the sun.

Furthermore, the NSA has announced that they will launch missions to those planets to uncover more of their secrets and set a clear charte for our solar system.
