Like a lusty wench who cant get enough of men shout the prominent Dual Republican producers and manufacturers inter-product-lines for more labourers. According to the press-official Konrad Figgel of the Industrialists parliamentary club who represents all corporations of Narikaton and Darnussia the capacities of our domestic manufacturers especially in the arms and maritime sector are completely filled, their already paid for expansion plans are currently being hampered by the inavailable supply of labour. "While we do have specialists, we need some chunky chaps, you know, the good old prols!" said Figgel. What we think he meant are unspecialized heavy industry labourers. Until recently this has not been a problem for the businesses of the Dual Republic but the trends have shifted toward the companies actively looking and not being petitioned for a job. This is explained due to Red Stad's factories having used up most of the domestic labour pool and the increase in employment in the entertainment sector. Most hope lies with the government to open the flood-gates for vascanian labourers to work in Dual Republican factories which has been allowed in a treaty signed decades ago. This has been blocked by the moderates and progressives in power, but fortunately those are not in power anymore. It is rumored that Lackmann's new Minister of Economic Affairs Julian Eichelkopf is currently negotiating with the corporate elements of the Senate on how to orderly introduce this new workforce into the labour market.

Kasaema-Bannerhafen, with characteristic mysterious or what some would rather call dubious foreign policy moves, the Kundrati Union has basicly gifted Dual Republican Companies access to capital flowing away from North Artania. Shipping Titans such as Passschiffe expect to "pick up the vaccuum contracts" due to the only logical development of Kundrati losing most of its trade leverage and business fundaments within the yeudish Neset since the departure from the diplomatic pre-requisite framework essentially voids their membership and heavily damages their reputation. Political pundits have been both mindblown and not surprised at all by this development. "We certainly do not think that this behaviour is something new - for Kundrati -  or something. But we did not expect them to shoot themselves in the knee." There have not been official statements from government sources but the responsible minister for trade and economic affairs Peter von Merenbürg is probably having a field day right now because he is getting to reap the fruits of.. exactly.. nothing or rather nothing unusual from Kundrati. Ultimately these newest events cement the Dual Republic of Narikaton and Darnussia's place in the world as a global trade hub and trustworthy partners where others fail.

New Social Media and Dating Platform "Elite Club" conquers Dual Republic

The company "Elite Club IT Innovation Limited" has recently released its new social media and dating platform "Elite Club." In a matter of months this application available on both mobile and desktop devices conquered the Dual Republic. It is especially popular among the rich and powerful with most of its trafic leading from and to Jorgen Island or other centers of power like Bannerhafen. What makes it so popular you ask? Certain additional requirements that have to be fulfilled during the registration. The platform requires its users to send and validate their most recent tax documents or other similar evidence as to prove their income. After validating whatever a user might earn, the app is immediately ranking the user in a pyramid like hierarchy. The highest category "Tripple Diamond Platin Very Important Power Person" is exclusive to only the most rich and powerful of us, such as President Theodora Lackmann or Trade Minister von Merenbürg for example. Its user numbers have increased from day-to-day but its also  faces pressure from social justice activists as the monetary ranking is very "discriminatory." The press release of the company called the claims "baseless and obviously made by people that give broke."

Labour market situation eases

As reported back a few years ago, the government has been hard at work to attract the potential labour migrants from those nations that allow easy-going labour visas for both sides such as Vascania. The Dual Republic has hoped and successfully acted on this idea. Vascanian Labourers have been applying to working in the factories of the Military Industrial Complex which cannot still its hunger for even more expansion and factories. They've been aggressively buying up real estate along major highways and rail-lines in the Dual Republic as well as other nations in their grasp which could be the Jelbic Empire, Beiteynu and some other friendlies. Industrialist representatives in the Senate seem placated and happy. Most of their speeches seem content and usually critique very general subjects, they're definitly avoiding to attack Lackmann or responsible Minister Peter von Merenbürg. Speaking of the devil, von Merenbürg has been rising in popularity due to his management of the labour issue offsetting some of the initial scepticism of his appointment due to past corruption allegations. Even though some view him more favorably now, many especially along the nationalist line of the OF and the DNP are sceptical that the government instead should work on increasing birth-rates of narik/darnussian families.

Kalistani expat Club promoter Edwin Bob, who has been living and working in the Dual Republic, has been killed in an apparent organized crime hit over a "deal gone wrong."   At least one high ranking member of the Dual Republic's government has been implicated in Mr. Bob's killing, and other political figures are already starting to distance themselves from the entire affair.

Mr. Bob was shot to death by private security agents last Tuesday night outside of the club he helped found in the Republic's capital, High Life, following a very public altercation with Mr. Heinrich Maximilian Fentje, who is the 2nd Vice Director for Majatran Affairs with the Dual Republican Government.  Witnesses reported that Mr. Bob was very upset about permits for a new club that Mr. Fentje was apparently blocking, and a verbal altercation between the two individuals turned into a physical fight between Bob and Fentje which spilled into the street, where the Director's security detail shot him fatally.

As people mourned the death of Edwin Bob, some of his business associates, led by Jens van Kuillenberg, from Bannerhafen, who was Bob's partner in High Life and worked as operating manager went to the police and filed reports that have subsequently been released to the Narik press.  The Bannerhafen Nachrichten printed the report, but buried it on page 6 in an effort to lower its profile, reported that van Kuillenberg said that the reason Bob and Fentje were arguing was because Bob was trying to obtain permits for a new club in Freiheit on Jorgen Island.  This club was meant to feature Bob's main features of dancing, DJing and Live Music, but also an off track horseracing establishment and a full service casino.

Van Kuillenburg explained that Fentje had called in favors with the various permit offices to prevent Bob from opening:  Delays in permit submission, inexplicably failed inspections, building delays and unreasonable work stoppages all combined to ensure that Bob's new club would not open.  As a result of its ultimate failure, Bob lost the equivalent of ₭28 million Rubles in sunk costs that could not be recuperated.

Van Kuillenberg said that, in a last ditch effort to get the club opened on time, he approached van Kuillenberg about releasing very sensitive information that Bob had on Minister Fentje, which involved drug trafficking from Kalistan, as well as scandalous sexual activity, including prostitution, involving adult film star Magda, who is a regular at both of Bob's clubs Sin and High Life and three other individuals who Van Kuillenberg said he did not know.  (Magda herself died under suspicious conditions last April, and her death was ultimately ruled to be a result of drug overdose.) 

Van Kuillenberg said he advised Bob not to do anything stupid, but Bob was adamant about approaching Fentje, which resulted in his death.  Van Kuillenberg said that he believed that Bob's new Club would be in direct competition to a club venture that Fentje himself had heavily invested in, which has subsequently been tied to organized criminal activity.

The Bannerhafen Nachrichten said Bob's computers were seized by police, but they had received an email file sent by Bob just an hour before his death, with several photographs attached that also seemed to implicate at least four other ministers, though the names or positions have not been released in public, due to the presumption of innocence and the ongoing investigation.  Whoever the other public officials are, or whatever their participation in the scandal, what is clear is that Bob's killing now appears to have been a hit by associates of Mr. Fentje who believed that they could get rid of Bob and keep a lid on the scandal.

"I'm guessing they were waiting for him," said Van Kuillenberg, speaking to the Kalistani Republic this week.  "I think that Eddie kind of forced their hand when he was gunned down, and what was supposed to be something that was done sub rosa was instead done in the street outside of High Life.  Eddie was a weirdo, and he was into a lot of stuff, but he wasn't linked to organized crime and I think that was what did him in.  He was at least clean..."

Van Kuillenberg and Michael Levine, Edwin Bob's partner, have left Narikaton and Darnissua to seek asylum in Kalistan, where Bob and Levine are from originally.  "I don't plan on staying in Kalistan," said Van Kuillenberg in Kaliburg, "and I want to continue to cooperate with my own government in the investigation, but I really don't feel safe right now in Bannerhafen, given that I think Eddie was killed by assassins.  When the investigation closes, I will make my way back home because Kalistan may be Kalistan, but its no Narikaton."  Edwin Bob's assets in N&D have been frozen by the Government and his clubs have been closed while the investigation is ongoing.  If Edwin Bob is exonerated of any crimes, his clubs will likely be sold off to Republican investors and Bob's share of the proceeds will be repatriated to Bob's Holding Company, Pleasure Unlimited, which is currently been put into receivership in Kalistan.

Bob death triggers public interest in government officials

Suspects in 'Bob' case getting arrested

The mysterious death of the Kalistani night-life mogul Edwin Bob has rumors of government involvement brewing in the background. According to local scene-affine sources it was a semi-public knowledge that Bob had run-ins with certain individuals in government positions who saw him as a business rival. Apparently a lot of officers in some part of the government try to better their earnings with side-hustles like night clubs, bars and other localities. Even though the public has been scarred by this display of obvious ties between organized crime and certain political circles official inquiries have been left unanswered. According to whispers in the presidents inner circle, Lackmann is very distraught by this development. She herself considered Bob's clubs to be the best of the best and as such is personally invested in a solution to this case. The only thing the government wanted to confirm was that raids against certain single outposts of specific departments have been conducted and that some arrests have been made. Jorgen-Security Chief Plattemann said that there is no reason to be worried "These thugs wont endanger public safety, please continue to enjoy the pleasures offered on Jorgen Island. Ministry of Defence announces completion of Defense Installations

After some problems with various delays from non-domestic military suppliers and some political blockades from local municipalities, the Minstry of Defence finally announced the completion of the defensive installation systems via installations around the nation. According to Minister Thaller-Dinkelberg, the Dual Republic now can totally control its airspace by utilizing varyingly ranged missiles as well as classic immediate anti-air systems. The ordered jets from Pontesi have been divided up into fighter-jet groupings and will be reinforced with more conventional aircraft very soon, at least according to the plans of the government. Officials have been making comments about the need for further restructuring especially in light of recently made revelations connected to the "Bob-case." Generally the mood across the board in the military elite is rather content, the Lackmann administration has been granting their wishes without any disagreements. In the next months, the General Staff of the Dual Republican Armed Forces is going to decide on the shares of ground-troops the individual bases will receive as well as how many will stay in reserve. According to the old plans that are being put in action right now the targeted size of the military is around 800.000 men. Approximately 650.000 are supposed to be standing, experts say that this can only be a long term goal since the Dual Republic has only been focussing on having a well-functioning naval corpus for a while but modernizing its ground forces is going to be challenging.

Dual Monarchy? Lackmann announces consolidation of power.

"It appears to me that the Dual Republic is still in need of firm handed guidance and a general restructuring." President Lackmann opened a press-conference with these words after the momentum around the still unresolved "Bob-case" has been gaining traction again. According to the President, Matthijs Sleyster is already factually retired with the moderate pragmatist Friedrich von Kozaria, current Vice-Director for Federation Affairs, in line to succeed him. This sticks with a pattern that the president is continuing. 

Insiders hailing from the Senate explain that Lackmann has to negotiate a lot of compromises with the larger VVP faction to maintain her power base, even though some rumor that they're definitly pushing it, now these restructuring efforts serve as a fundament to finally eliminate these power-struggles. On the actual plans, the President says that it is apparently important to have a strong authority figure in the midst of the political arena which can control and steer away from the moral corruption as well as degeneracy. 

"Of course I see myself in that role" said Lackmann during her explanations about the future of the National government. "I think it is time to bid the Dual Republic farewell, it is time to return Narikaton and Darnussia to its natural inherent state of nobility and royalty. I will step into the footprints of my Thaller ancestors and take on the role of Queen." According to official parliamentary suggestions, the Queen will have the central role of appointing the Chancellor and the rest of the cabinet. They are supposed to serve at her majestys pleasure and will be easily exchangable. "The Senate will return to serve its primary function: write quality legislation. They are finally going to stay away from partisan bickering."  Constitutional amendments limiting the Queen to only her role as a strong Head of State are missing in the proposal drafts, meaning that Lackmann could potentially be both Chancellor and Queen but that will remain to be seen on how the usances of these offices are going to develop. In any case, the central government hopes to root out and purge dissident or corrupt elements with these plans, the departmental responsibilites and hierachies are also going to be fundamentally changed. These plans are going to be published later in the year. For the immediate future Lackmann said that her process of eliminating the corrupt circles in some of the authorities is steadily progressing towards her goals.
