Kundrati Crisis: Armed Forces of Kundrati attack the Kundrati Legionnaires

This morning, the Second Kundrati Emergency began. The Kundrati Legion and the Armed Forces of Kundrati have struck their first blows.

The Armed Forces of Kundrati's National Capital Command have been spotted moving around the capital of Kasaema, with multiple battles between Legionnaires, police, and pro-KL forces against soldiers from the NCC and other military units. In effect, the city has turned into a war zone, and the constitutional crisis that has sprung up over the last few years has finally met its climax.

Military troops from the NCC, including helicopters and paratroopers, landed in the Presidential Office Building and the house of the President, Bronislav Sladek. A short battle commenced; however, the Presidential Guard and pro-KL forces were easily repelled and quickly surrendered. In the course of events, as the President was getting ready to sleep, soldiers reportedly kicked down his door and grabbed the President and anyone else inside. The President, alongside anyone who was inside the house, was taken prisoner, and military troops were placed outside the POB and the home of the President to prevent Legionaire attacks.

However, the attempt to siege the National Assembly did not go well. Soldiers, including three tanks and paratroopers, attempted to storm the NA building and tried to force the lawmakers who were inside debating the merits of the declaration of the state of siege to turn on the President and impeach him for various crimes. However, the paramilitary forces protecting the building began a fierce battle against the military, which lasted for hours. Parts of the building were damaged, with soldiers managing to get inside. However, civilians and paramilitary forces managed to trap them or force them into a retreat. The military troops there were ordered to retreat, and they were moved to other parts of the capital, with lawmakers inside quickly blaming the National Coalition for attempting to perform a coup d'etat. The National Assembly has begun motions to censure their Coalition counterparts; however, the first votes have yet to be conducted.

Soldiers attempted to siege the Kundrati Legionaire (newspaper) offices and other national newspaper, radio, and television studios throughout the city. Some of those studios quickly surrendered as they did not have Legionaire protection or protection and could not get there in time. However, most military attacks on the media were unable to get through, as reports of the military being unable to secure the state broadcaster among the Legionnaire newspaper spread throughout the city. While social media is divided in support of the coup, most newspapers and media outlets have decided not to comment, given the confusion over what was happening.

Finally, we get to the attack on the Kundrati Legionnaires, the paramilitary that has struck our country within the last few years. They were headquartered throughout the city as the Kasaema Police Department, various sections of the military, and other volunteers of the Legionnaires were a part of the vast paramilitary organization. Many tanks and soldiers were sent to these locations; however, the inability to seize the media, alongside the learning of the fact the President was captured, led to the paramilitary being able to hold off the military advance. The military was forced to retreat many times as high casualties were felt due to the paramilitary being supported by the latest in weapons by the Kundrati Defense Contractors. The Legionnaires established a foothold of several blocks surrounding the Kasaema Police Department headquarters, the Kundrati Legion party headquarters, and various hideouts throughout the city. However, we should note that all transport hubs, such as supplies or reinforcements, were seized during the coup d'etat, preventing anyone from getting in or out.

As of now, Kasaema is at a crossroads. The military has managed to set up checkpoints at various streets and avenues, especially near the house of the President and his office building. However, fierce battles continue between the Legionnaires and the Armed Forces throughout many streets in our capital, especially in areas where they have managed to set up as their territory. It is unknown whether the coup d'etat will succeed or not, given these circumstances, or whether or not this will be the "First Battle of Kasaema." In the streets, though, the people have reacted accordingly. Many have decided to arm themselves with their pistols and weapons and joined the fight. In contrast, others have begun to run away from the city or towards various safe areas that they know, like a relative's house or a city bunker. Many buildings, especially in areas with the worst fighting, are already being looted and burnt, with law and order breaking down in those areas and some buildings even being demolished either in whole or in part. Hospitals in Kasaema are currently overrun, with many areas being set up as triage centers, and the smell of dead bodies, burning buildings, and war itself is the smell of Kasaema this morning.

The entire nation has been plunged into brutal fighting after an attempt to overthrow the democratic government today, KPP loyalists backing the military openly attempted with the use of traitors within the army to take the entire national assembly hostage. As of now there has been no news regarding president Sládek as the presidental residence was stormed by the rogue elements of the military, for now defense minister and new commander of the paramilitaries Radim Kolář is in temporary power. The Legionary Guard division in the capitol was able to repel multiple assaults in the chaos mauling the aggressors with fanatical resolve and we have heard similar rumors elsewhere in the nation, we here at the Legionnaire call on patriots across the fatherland to rise up in defiance of this blatant coup and arm yourselves.

The Likatonian Betrayal, Hunting foreign agents

[8th June 5586]
In a shocking display of dishonesty and betrayal, Likatonia who recently signed a military alliance with Kundrati swearing to aid it in defensive and offensive military action, pulled out of the deal after refusal to make good on their promises refusing to aid the legitimate government against the KPP attempted coup, Farmakon-Z is now returned to state control and all previous economic dealings with Likatonia slashed. This has coincided with an accidental shooting earlier this week, in which a suspected Kalistani intelligence cell was to be raided, but sadly resulted in the deaths of 3 civilians inside the building due to falty intel leading to the wrong apartment being raided by paramilitaries. Usually it would not have been so bloody, but unfortunately due to the KPP instigating the conflict, many civilians have barricaded themselves indoors and are armed and on edge. The victims families were compensated and posthumously given medals each, the newly made Order of the Martyr for heroic sacrifice.

"It is very dismaying to say the least that Likatonia has not only betrayed us, but proved our diplomatic efforts were honestly a waste of time. There isn't a single nation we've approached that hasn't had a dagger behind their backs or shunned us for being democratically elected, if the blondie president in Likatonia was drowning i'd throw her a cinder block! This just goes to prove our Presidents wisdom in self sufficiency, only a Kundrati can trust his own countryman, except the KPP of course, but they're all bootlicks and pissants who pad out their pockets with Kalistani bills, to hell with the lot of them, we'll spare them not an ounce of mercy when their wanton killings finished!"

Fascist Ordosocialist elements have seized the Government of the Kundrati Union and have reaped nothing more than sabotage of the Kundrati race against the world. As of now the Legion has destroyed some of our units who have been, to this day, attempting to restore law and order. The former President of the Kundrati Union Bronislav Sladek, a traitor to our fatherland, has abandoned his post as unbecoming of his job. His traitorous Ordosocialist hide has been replaced by the traitorous Minister of Defence for whom their name shall not be mentioned and shall be subject to summary execution for his treason to the Kundrati Union.

Given how the rest of the National Assembly, bar a select few heroes, and the rest of the cabinet is also full of Ordosocialist and fascist scum that wreaks our nation to it's very core, we hereby declare that the current Kundrati government is no longer under control of the country and that this government shall be taken over by Mr. Tiberius Claudius Aroain who shall be declared, as of the publication of this statement, President of the Kundrati Union.

We also hereby declare that until the hostilities cease and the death of the Kundrati Legion recognized that martial law shall apply to every inch of Kundrati soil. As soon as the martial law is over there will be new elections which will be pure from the fascist and Ordosocialist scum that has wrecked it. A series of members will be placed into the Cabinet as well to ensure the safety of the country.

The government being led by the Kundrati Legion, and their National Assembly, shall be hereby dissolved and a new one be established immediately with a provisional series of members that shall be appointed at a later time by the President where elections can be held without the Ordosocialist scum that wreaks it.

KUNDRATI LEGIONNAIRE

Kalistani convoy caught attempting crossing on Endralonian border, equipment and money seized!

[19th July 5586]
In the dead of night on the 17th of July, an unmarked convoy from Kalistan in civilian trucks carrying a companies worth of small arms, grenades, and ammunition with various equipment was seized by local militia in conjunction with paramilitaries. 15 million in cash meant for the KPP was recovered, head of the local defense brigades Major Slobodan turned this in to the KL authorities, who announced they would be distributing 5 million of it amongst the armed forces in bonuses, the rest going to furthering recruitment efforts and funding military contractors. Many citizens were outraged to hear about the foreign meddling, vowing to listen to the KL in the future as they were right all along! Approximately 15 men of Kalistani origin were killed in the engagement with no casualties on our side in a surprise ambush, standing as a stern warning to any and all foreign meddlers. Some of the bodies were left on display as a message to Kalistan with signs bearing statements such as, "I died for my Empress in vain." & "I dared to test Kundrati".

These arms were thankfully and gratefully received by locals bolstering the forces, all around the country as the Militia and paramilitaries continue to organize the KL hopes to break the army blockades and unite forces around the nation. News from the front, our soldiers have been fighting day and night to break the transit blocks across the country held by KPP forces, so far to no avail. Our brave troops are giving them no time to rest however, and we will continue to batter their positions with fanatical resolve every day until they break, we are confident in the coming weeks reliable supply lines will open up. Until then conserve all ammo stuffs and use backroads or cross country transit.

Kundrati Crisis: The Armed Forces declare a reversal of the Kundrati Legion's labor camp policies

The following declaration was delivered to the public by the Armed Forces of Kundrati regarding foreign persons and the current labor camp situation.

22 JULY 5586

Our nation has recently been plagued by the slavery that has been forced upon us by the Kundrati Legion on all persons who have rejected the rule of the Legion. This includes foreign persons whom were illegally stolen and kept as bargain chips like the Mafia does with hostages.

The Kundrati Legion has acted illegally and has even tried to repeal the War Crimes Act 5315 in order to legally use their means to torture anyone who they capture into their deaths. Their actions are unbecoming of being Kundrati as a whole, for the Kundrati Union has historically stood up to these crimes and our brave people would have never acted so cruelly upon each other.

Yet today the stain on our honor and on our race remains!

We hereby declare that, on all territory that we control, all labor camps that were formerly operated by the Kundrati Legion shall be liberated. All persons in our territory will be free to move throughout the country, subject to the necessary restrictions in order to maintain security because of the Legion's continued existance, however these persons will no longer be subject to forced labor and to forced torturous practices!

Further we hereby declare that all labor camps under the control of the Kundrati Legion shall be placed upon the control of the Armed Forces and all persons who wish to leave will be allowed to do so without delay or hindrance unless they are a member of the Kundrati Legion or have participated in crimes against humanity!

Further we hereby declare that all foreign persons shall be allowed to leave if they wish without hindrance, and that any foreign person may be allowed to enter and leave the Union as they wish, so long as they do not head in the direction of the Legion or act in the best interests of the Legion! All foreign property shall be released back to their rightful owners and any sale of these foreign properties without the permission of their foreign owners will be revoked and returned back to their original owners immediately!

Kundrati Crisis: Armed Forces attempt to liberate labor camps without success

[24 July 5586]

Within the last few days, the Armed Forces of Kundrati have conducted an operation to liberate several labor camps under the control of the Kundrati Legion. These camps, some as small as a farm and some as large as an arms factory, were protected by Legionnaires who patrolled the area 24/7.

The attack occurred early in the morning on two major arms factories and three smaller farms and mining areas, which were being used as forced labor camps for their respective regions. However, in most of these cases, the Legionnaires were tipped off beforehand, and the army units, which did not expect much of a fight, had to battle door to door against Legionnaires and some prisoners who were armed and forced to fight. The army units at the two major arms factories were unable to secure the factories, being stuck outside and taking hours to get inside, as the Legionnaires did their very best to defend the factory from constant assault.

The two arms factories were subject to continued bombardment from nearby artillery and air units, which caused much damage to the factories. After spending almost the rest of the day fighting with the Legionnaires, armed with the best equipment, the army could only get through half of the arms factories and were forced to pull back to base. However, in the course of these events, they were able to document many bodies, including mass graves, that were strewn around both from the battle and from the labor that they were forced to perform. Countless amounts of bodies were seen wearing their work camp uniforms, and some of them had clear signs of torture and malnourishment. Photos and videos were taken, and those were taken back to the army headquarters.

The attack on the minor mining and farming camps was more successful as there was similar fierce fighting, yet the army captured these camps after around a day's worth of battle. The fighting there included the destruction of various work sites within the camps alongside barracks and the like. Some of these were burnt because of the fight and arson performed by the Legion. A search was conducted after the capture of the camps, which resulted in more mass graves and bodies being found; however, curiously, barely any documents were found in offices. These were also documented for later review.

Some of these bodies also had clear signs of execution, like holes in bodies and marks that are consistent with axes or strangulation, though some of these bodies were so old they were skeletons. Such information has been freely released to the Terran Wide Web as documentation showing the atrocities possibly being performed in these work camps. However, the army was unable to recover any survivors of these camps. Unfortunately, it is likely the Legion has managed to kill or relocate everyone in these camps.

Kundrati Crisis: Kundrati Legion takes all of Kasaema, the Armed Forces retreat to the south of the country, Jildrathi City is declared the capital of the Kundrati Union

The Battle of Kasaema ended with the victory of the Kundrati Legion and their paramilitaries, who, in a major assault on the forces of the Union, devastated the Union forces to the point where retreat was inevitable. An attack on the Presidential Palace, still being held by Union forces, alongside Union-held neighborhoods spread out throughout the city, was overwhelming for the Army whose units were slaughtered. Reports are coming out that around 15,000 Union soldiers have gone missing, been killed off, or were wounded in some way, with possibly more being captured as prisoners of war.

This would be a big blow to the Kundrati Union, who now loses their capital to the forces of the Legion. This also means that the ongoing civil war has spread throughout the country as the Kundrati Legion seeks to head south towards where the Union is reassembling on the island of Etxea. On this island, the National Coalition party and the people of the Armed Forces have set up Jildrathi City on the island's eastern shores (where the largest naval base in Kundrati is located) as their new capital. Entrenchments, including booby traps, minefields, and the like, have been and are being set up in various portions of the south, with new defense lines comprising from Venora to Aethansk and from Galensk to Urdaitz being made.

These scenes remind viewers of the Kundrati Emergency of long ago, when democratic forces were able to set up similar positions and tactics. In the southern states and communities, the Armed Forces have seized the state governments, and the military has begun to set up conditions to allow them to continue the fight even if the defense lines are overrun. Plans are underway to train civilians on counterinsurgency tactics and how to operate weapons and use various items as makeshift weapons if the scenes of the Battle of Kasaema are repeated. Such training is being ramped up in Aethansk and Venora, with training in other territories focused on building encampments and entrenchments and providing first aid.

Legion wins the battle of Kaesama! Capital secured, Aldurian arms shipment seized!

Defense minister Radim Kolář announced from the presidential palace today that the Legion has won the battle for Kasaema, in a ferocious attack lead by over 30,000 patriots in the capital; Militia, paramilitaries, and the elite presidential guard division inflicted enormous casualties on the army in a lightning attack in across the city. Swathes of the army were killed wounded or surrendered, estimates place the armies casualties at around 15,000, with many thousands paraded through the streets, many believe there may be prisoner transfers for our own men, or just allow the KPP dogs will languish in prison and some inevitably executed.

As jubilant celebrations among the ranks exploded nationwide in the first major battle of the war resulting in an overwhelming Legionary victory, more good news arrived from southern shores. An unmarked vessel claiming to be a fishing boat with 100 men inside and a large amount of arms was raided by local paramilitaries, slaughtering the vessels crew in a sporadic gun battle. Personal documents and assets among the crew indicate some of being Aldurian origin, and nearly all the weapons being from the nation. This confirms not only Kalistan but Alduria is now attempting to smuggle arms to the illegal upstart KPP government, the public continues to become more outraged as international powers throw their lot in with the traitors who couped our glorious president and plunged the fatherland into war.
