The rise of the VDKV has been stirred by the prospects of increase Pan-Dundorfian cooperation across the continent but also a stir in nationalism within the Dorvish peope themselves. His Majestic Highness, King and Kaiser Franz, has been a staple of political leadership and has become increasingly popular since his reign began in August, 5555 almost 20 years prior. Dorvish government announces new regulations on single-use plastics.

Minister of the Environment and Tourism Magnus Klaproth announced new regulations on the use of single-use plastics, nearing a total ban on them across the Kingdom. Officials from the Ministry of Environment and Tourism have held a series of meetings with environmental leaders and business stakeholders to discuss the banning of single use plastics such as shopping bags, containers which utilize a majority of plastic or plastic derivatives. Several districts, include Haldor itself, have outlawed the use of single-use plastics, the Dorvish governments of the past have long avoided a nation-wide "ban", but the incoming Minister of Environment and Tourism minced no words when he said that the protection of the Dorvish environment and the wider environment is quintessential to the success of the Dorvish nation and people as a whole. "We live in a world that has seemingly maintained itself well, we've staved off some disasters when it comes to environmental crisis. This is a small step but combined with our action, we can prevent any further disasters."

Kaffeetag launches new "Coffee at Home" system.

Kaffeetag (HSE: KFT) announced the development of a new at-home all-in-one brew machine known as the "Coffee at Home" (Dundorfian: Kaffee zu Hause) or "Kazha" as the company is marketing it. Kaffeetag, a coffee house that remains popular throughout the world, in notable competition with a prominent Lourenne-based coffee house, has a developed customer base and produces its own coffee for at home use but has relied on traditional brewers at home to utilize. According to officials from the company, the company has been developing a basic model and advanced models, mostly aimed at utilizing techniques prominently found in Selucia and Istalia for coffee preparation. The basic machine will allow for the preparation of coffee through pre-packed cups which require only water, which will be heated through the system itself. The product is expected to launch in February, 5574 and will be marketed world wide.

Casper Heitmeyer, the State Chancellor and promised "savior" of Dorvik has fallen flat on his numerous promises and the continued malaise that has plagued the Kingdom's government is coming to a head. Despite and early jump start to the Dorvish economy and a focus on international affairs, the Heitmeyer Chancellery has failed to maintain momentum and the economic growth within Dorvik has slowed tremendously according to the Finance Ministry. Officials within the Heitmeyer government as well as His Majestic Highness, the King and Kaiser have expressed frustration despite Council of Minister shuffles and changes to key sub-cabinet positions, the Heitmeyer government has failed to live up to its promises and the incumbent State Chancellor looks like in the coming August, 5591 election he will have a slew of challengers, most of them from the Dorvish Workers' Party to upend his nearly two-decade leadership on the nation. The ailing King and Kaiser, Franz, seeks to shore up the future of the nation before making any decisions according to those close to the House of Faust-Essen and the Dorvish seek to recapture their place in the world, looking more like floundering drunks off an Oktoberfest celebration in late September in the heartlands of Layern. Wehausen secures State Council, State Chancellery.

The Dorvish Workers' Party, the largest component of the Black Eagle Alliance, lead a massive internal coup following the resounding success in the August, 5591 elections. Lead by VDKV Political Leadership Corps up and coming leader, Johan Wehausen, the DAP ousted the largely former VDKV Political Leadership team that ran the Black Eagle Alliance for nearly two decades. "We cannot stand idly by while we watch Sacred Dorvik be crushed underneath the yoke of ineffective leadership." Wehausen spoke passionately at the congress to elect the leadership of the Black Eagle Alliance in June 5591 where they met to discuss the future of the broad coalition known as "SAVE". Wehausen, who served a term as the Minister-President of Miktar, has been an up and coming start within the VDKV's Political Leadership Corps as well as the wider SAVE coalition over the past decade and has often clashed with State Chancellor Heitmeyer over his inaction. Miktar, a largely agrarian province of the Kingdom, has been an economic success story over the past several years as Wehausen and Oberprasident Svenja Horkheimer have worked closely to develop robust economic policies, largely focused on expanding Dorvish agriculture output and deepening cooperation with the Foreign Economic Council and the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Wehausen lead a successful effort in the Miktar Provincial Diet to expand connections to the Black Mountain Chain Railway to the wider parts of Miktar, an tremendous feat that made transportation of Miktar-based agricultural goods much easier to supply to the vast majority of the continent.

Wehausen, now the State Chancellor, sets his sights on developing a new government for Dorvik, replacing the outgoing Heitmeyer leadership within the nation.

Dorvik and Lodamun agree to lifting tariffs, sending a boom for Dorvish oil.

Foreign Minister Augustin Gerstner confirmed that that Harrington Company, based out of Lodamun, had lifted the tariffs on Dorvish energy exports. Officials from the Foreign Office, the Natural Resources Technical Management Corporation and the NordOl corporation met with Harrington Company officials to discuss the next steps. Dorvish oil, which are indexed as "Northern Oils" which includes Dorvish extracted and refined oil and natural gas from the Falristan Sands and the Althorcaea Shelf, remain a potent source of oil, petroleum products and natural gas for Artania and parts of the world. While Dorvik is considered to be a "Tier 2" producer of oil, natural gas and petroleum-based products, the access to the Hutorian resources prompted them to become a major exporter of oil, natural gas and petroleum-based products. The CEO of NordOl AG, Eugen Vogelweide, confirmed that they would be negotiating with the Harrington Company in regards to pricing. "We're eager to work with Lodamun to discuss new avenues of cooperation when it comes to energy supply to Lodamun." The Dorvish stand to benefit massively from the lifting of tariffs and the expansion of a new market, which has largely been small due to the increased tariffs. Northern Oils have always traded slightly lower in overall price compared to the standard, Bier Qassem Crude which as of January, 5594 was hovering around $72.97 with Northern Oils trading at around $70.44; it is possible that in return for favorable or "majority" purchasing from Dorik, they will provide a "special price" for Lodamun.

In a rare break with tradition, the Dorvish government condemned Beiteynu for their attack on Xsampa and the start of the so-called "Red Bass War". State Chancellor Johan Wehausen signaled support for the Xsampan government, traditionally an opponent of the Dorvish government due to their left wing ideology, against Beiteynu. In recent decades the once cold relations between Beiteynu and Dorvik have warmed but have never returned to their hey-day of the once potent triumvirate alliance between Beitenyu and Lourenne. "We cannot stand idly by as Beiteynu once again shows the world that they will do anything to expand their influence, even at cost of their owns soldiers and sailors lives and at the cost of Xsampan citizens." The Dorvish have signaled that they will immediately begin humanitarian operations in support of Xsampa, in addition, they have stated that they provide "assistance" to Xsampa but did not define what "assistance" that would be. The Dorvish in recent months have reactivated their once potent High Seas Monitoring Squadrons, originally launching the one but have restored the second one. These formations assist in data collection on sea conditions, weather as well as gathering intelligence for adversaries of the Kingdom.

Critics of the High Seas Monitoring Squadrons have cited their intelligence gathering capabilities, the activation of a second one extends the Dorvish capabilities for intelligence gathering significantly. Officials from the Dorvish government have confirmed that the High Sea Monitoring Squadron currently assigned to monitor the on-going conflict with Beiteynu and Xsampa have begun providing up to date information to the Xsampan Armed Forces. "We've begun an intelligence sharing agreement, for now, with the Xsampan Armed Forces to provide accurate information in regards to a wide berth of information that can be utilized for the defense of Xsampan people." Sources close to the Supreme General Staff have cited that this information might include intercept data for short-range and intermediate-range ballistic missiles as well as satellite data revealing the positions of Beiteynu Naval assets within the area of operation. The Dorvish government has also continued to provide significant amounts of humanitarian aid to the Xsampan people, several hundred million LOD worth of assistance in order to relieve the Xsampan government of some burdens.
