Dorvik stops intervention in the Darnussian Civil War
Image
Chancellor Faust addresses the nation.
Dorvish Palaces, Haldor - Chancellor Faust rose to the occasion when he was criticized by former coalition members and several moderate members of the Communist Party of Dorvik. Chancellor Faust announced that he would be asking the People's Chamber of Dorvik to end the nations intervention into the Third Darnussian Civil War, a war which has dragged on for nearly two years. Chancellor Faust and the Party Leader of the Volkspartei have met behind closed doors after exchanging verbal blows to each other in public. Chancellor Faust has since apologized and stated that he was out of line, no apology has come from the People's Party and one may not come, something Chancellor Faust is completely content with. Chancellor Faust stated that it was a brash action which was not support by even all of his party.

Titov Hails Coalition Split, Congratulates Vanhanen
In response to stunning news yesterday that Volkspartei would resign from the KPD/VP Coalition government, Party President Ilya Titov has formally hailed the resignation as a sign of 'a transition in the politics of our time'. He has congratulated former Finance Minister and leader of the Volkspartei Pieter Vanhanen for the announcement. Meanwhile, the split appears to have gained some traction in the KPD as only hours after, Chancellor Faust announced that he would be seeking to withdraw from his government's intervention in the Third Darnussian Civil War, a move Titov also supported.
" The political landscape is shifting, " Titov said to the media. " That's for sure. The KPD should now realise that their time left in majority is now numbered, and that the Dorvish look forward to the January 3132 elections with anticipation. "
Titov has refused to answer any questions with regards to the future of his own party's alignment. Leading Vereinigt Dorvik from outside the Volkshammer, he is unopposed within the ranks to be the party's candidate for President in 3132.

Volkspartei kicks off Election Campaign
Image
Now with less than a year to go, the Volkspartei has officially started their election campaign. At the VP Conference yesterday evening, the Top Brass of the party attempted to raise the spirits of their party and ready them for the election, something that didn't require that much effort. Many members of the Volkspartei - although realising the difficulty they face in taking down a Communist majority - are quite confident about how well their Party will do next year, and you could easily see the placards bearing the words "Kanzler Vanhanen" and "Prasident Tessel" in the crowd gathered at the rally.
First to speak was Finance Spokesperson Jyrki Tamsen. Tamsen told his fellow party members that the financial difficulties facing Dorvik could not be underestimated, and promised that at the forefront of any Cabinet Agreement will be massive investment in the Dorvish economy to ensure massive economic growth. He also said that it was absolutely unbelievable that over half of GDP came from the Government and not the Private Sector.

Other notable speakers included Justice Spokesperson Luitpold Weber - who spoke of the need to reform the Justice System of Dorvik to better suit the needs of both offenders and society - and the very charismatic Liesel Keller, Science and Technology Spokesperson. Keller took the stage with laughs and jokes, and that started a very interesting speech.
"Dorvik is the best. Let's not try and be modest, because it's one of the few things that we're awful at. If we want to invent something, we'll invent it. If we want to go to the moon, we'll build a rocket, and if we can't build a rocket we'll build a ladder. So let's do it, Dorvik! We're already the best, we can only get better!"

Former Party leader and Chancellor, and current candidate for President Mariah Tessel made a brief appearance, but of course the main attraction of the night was the speech of Pieter Vanhanen. Vanhanen approached the podium amid mass applause, and chants of "Van-Han-En" from the excitable crowd of supporters. As the applause finally subsided, he began by speaking very frankly and very seriously about the problems which had led to the VP leaving the longstanding coalition with the KPD. He spoke of the Darnussian Intervention, and how he believed Dorvik should go from here - that they should form part of a peacekeeping force, and should actively work to solve the dispute in such a nearby country.
However, he moved from there to speak lively about what the Volkspartei can do in Government, and egged his party on by declaring they could beat the KPD, that they could - for the first time ever - take the first place position if they push hard enough. He said nothing was impossible in Dorvik, and declared the people of Dorvik deserved better, and the Volkspartei could be that better. He ended by wishing all his candidates the best of luck, and said he looked forward to the Chancellor debates which he is sure will be coming up soon.

Zaitsev Hit Out at Govt Over Deficit
Speaking at the National Press Gallery today, Vereinigt Dorvik's Party Leader in the Volkskammer and Candidate for Chancellor Vladik Zaitsev has condemned the government over a history of 'reckless spending' which has led to a ballooning debt of more than several trillion Dorvish Dolgars (DDO). A former economics professor at the University of Haldor, Zaitsev is an economic conservative who believes that the 'only acceptable budget is a surplus'. He is an advocate of paying down Dorvik's debt, establishing a Soveriegn Wealth Fund, and major tax reform. He has critisized the tax system for being 'too complicated', and 'punishing savers' as opposed to rewarding them.
This comes as Vereinigt Dorvik formally launches its election campaign, announcing Ilya Titov as the party's Presidential candidate who has said that he wishes to guide Dorvish into 'a new era of prosperity' via the privatization of various industries.

Millions across Dorvik rally for the KPD.

Images of KPD supporters cheering and rallying to support the KPD in the coming elections.
CPD National Headquarters, Vinisk - Millions have gathered around Dorvik to rally and promote the Communist Party of Dorvik, the party that has been in power since 3119. On the eve of speeches by Chancellor and General Secretary Faust, President and Deputy General Secretary von Vinisk and parting words by First Secretary Tyrus Petrov millions of die-hard loyalist have came to support the current government. In the strongholds of the CPD the military was seen cheering and supporting the CPD. The military has been an instrumental policy of the CPD since they garnered power in their first election, built from nothing the CPD holds a very strong following in the military.
The speeches by the leaders of the party have brought a new sense of spirit to those who follow the CPD, despite being labeled as the "Communist Party of Dorvik", the CPD has stated that they are committed to freedom and democracy, just as the rest of parties in Dorvik are. Recently the economic policies of the CPD have been bashed but Party Secretary for Finance Theodor Matthäus stated that: "No matter what we've done the economy refuses to come back, many of these parties such as the People's Party and United Dorvik have forgotten that we've been in one of the worst recessions in history...I dare call it a depression...millions of people lost their lives. Ask the Finance spokesperson from the People's Party, since 3119 we've worked tirelessly to ensure that our people survived. Only recently did we do that, we stemmed the tide of unemployment and famine...it was an unparalleled event." The speeches by Faust and Petrov were amongst the most hailed, they gave people a sense of patriotic duty to go out and vote and do whatever they felt was right for the nation, only adding to the fervor surrounding the CPD.

Christian Party Rockets to the Top Spot, Coalition Ahead
The Dorvik Christlich Partei has rocketed to First Place in the Dorvikian Elections for the Volkskammer. Winning 211 Seats - the type of result only previously seen by the KPD - the DCP is now in a fantastic position to form the next Dorvish Government. Already, the Volkspartei has announced that they will happily form a Coalition Government with the DCP.

CPD Party Leader Olli Askola looks jubilant after the final result becomes clear
Meanwhile, the Volkspartei saw it's support collapse to it's lowest ever, falling from 2nd to 4th place. Party leader Pieter Vanhanen - who during the campaign spirred his party towards what they thought would be their best result ever - spoke on the night. He accepted responsibility for the defeat, and announced his immediate resignation from the position of leader. Jyrki Tamsen, the Finance Spokesperson and Deputy Leader, will now take over as Party Leader - at least until a new leader can be elected, although Tamsen is certainly a front-runner in that race.

Volkspartei Leader Pieter Vanhanan tries to take in the results as his party plummets to fourth place
However, the Volkspartei and the DCP have already announced their clear intentions to form a Government together, and Pieter Vanhanen was seen with DCP leader Olli Askola mere hours after the final result was in. Jyrki Tamsen will now take over the negotiations from Vanhanen, and will get a real Cabinet Proposal out soon.

Titov Attacks Volkspartei Bid for Coalition, Calling Them 'Hypocritical'
Speaking to a crowd of party supporters this morning, Party President Ilya Titov took responsibility for the party's failure to capitalise on high visibility by supporting a last minute lurch to 'conservatism'.
"Clearly this is not what the people wanted from us," he said to supporters. "Although they have spoken, and we have also been punished for our hostility toward religious matters."
What this means is unclear for the future of Vereinigt Dorvik, but Titov has refused calls from within his own party to support a growing conservative movement within the ranks. He has attacked Volkspartei for what he describes as a 'betrayal of their own values'.
"The Dorvik Christlich Partei seeks to erode our rights by superimposing their religious agenda over the top of non-religious issues, how can they align themselves with opposites? It would have been better to support a KPD minority government... at least they agree on some issues."

Revolutionären Volkspartei Recreates
In the light of one of the largest and arguably most unexpected election results, the Revolutionären Volkspartei has rejoined the ranks of Volkskammer officials hoping for seats in the forthcoming elections which are several years from now. The new leader, a young and ambitious Robert Seiler, has mentioned that the party has reformed its platform opposed to the other previous Volkspartei, and currently provides a Social-Conservative ideology which seeks to traditional and pro-life stances with a socialist economic system.
The Revolutionären Volkspartei was popular during its earlier days as it offered another option to the now generally disliked Communist Party of Dorvik. We hope we will win the next elections in hopes of aligning Dorvik to the way our people see it, rather than lying political parties which fail to conduct their presented political agenda during campaigns. We as the true Volkspartei shall fight for a red revolution and for a Dorvik the people would like to see!
As said by Robert Seiler, the Leader of the Revolutionären Volkspartei.
The Revolutionären Volkspartei plans to convince the poplation and is hoping for the best. For now, it has been granted a representative to debate which is currently executed by Robert Seiler, and is allowed to propose bills. Since its reestablishment, it has proposed several bills.

Early Elections Proposed as KPD Dissolves
Dorvish everywhere woke up to find themselves under unexplained circumstances. As the Volkskammer came together for its daily session, there was something significant missing... every sitting member of the Kommunistische Partei Dorvik.
Nobody seems to be able to explain exactly what has occurred but all that can be confirmed is that the Volkskammer is now made up of a total of 382 seats, down 118 from its usual 500. It is a constitutional anomaly which occurs when a party is suddenly de-registered or suspended from political activity. Party representatives could not be reached for comment as buildings formerly occupied by the KPD were found abandoned. Some rumours circulate that with the re-registration of Revolutionären Volkspartei and a continual movement to the right, KPD members suddenly decided there was no point to their membership anymore.
Meanwhile, a bill has been tabled by the former party before their sudden disappearance to call early elections, presumably to correct the occurrence.

Revolutionären Volkspartei Wins
In the light of the dissolution of the KPD, the Revolutionären Volkspartei has much to pride itself of. The single largest party in the Volkskammer, with the closest party to it having some 100 seats. The Revolutionären Volkspartei has swept nearly half of the Dorvish legislature as people all around Dorvik bid for the Revolutionären Volkspartei to change the countries course from anarchism and capitalism to its true values.
230 seats in the Volkskammer and the President is something we are very proud of and shows how desperate the Dorvish people are to assume a new leadership. Though it is unfortunate that we could not gain a simple majority as we were very close. We shall fight on, and hopefully by next elections improve our stances to fit the ideology of the people fully and completely. It is time for the Revolution to begin!
- Mentioned the leader of the Revolutionären Volkspartei and President of the Volksrepublik Dorvik, Robert Seiler.
