Parliament Passes Increased Representation Law, aims to bring numbers of seats to 434.
August 5639

Fort William - The Parliament of Luthori recently passed an Act which was signed by His Majesty the Emperor today. That Act, a promise of Prime Minister Olivia Hall and her National Labour Party aimed at "reversing" the controversial decision from the then-outgoing MacGregor ministry, through the Representation of the People Act 5616. After her electoral victory in 5635 and the formation of a coalition government with both the Liberals and Greens, one of the coalition's key policies was to increase representation within the lower house, by empowering the electoral commission and ending the 400-seat cap in Luthori's Chamber of Representatives. The Senate, whipped by the Government Senate Leader, narrowly passed the Act after heavy backlash from Conservative Party in the Senate. The Prime Minister, rejoiced at this victory stated that the "representation of the people" in Parliament was secured.

The Increased Representation Act, proposed by the Secretary of State for Home Department, Stanley Houghton and counter-signed by the Parliamentary Secretary for Constitutional Reform, Emmeline Wilson, would see that the Luthorian Chamber of Representatives' number of representatives being fixed at 434 Members of the Chamber of Representatives (Members of Parliament - MPs), an increase of 34 members of Parliament from the 400 members of Parliament that were sitting in the First Chamber ever since the enactment of the Representation of the People Act 5616. The Bill notably didn't cover the Senate. The Second Chamber's opposition to the Bill was so intense that the provisions enabling the creation of a committee aimed at the discussion of potential Senatorial appointment and peerage were scrapped upon request from the Senate Majority Leader, Lord Wintingham.

In an open letter to the Prime Minister, the Government Senate Leader described the situation in the Senate as "doomed" if the Prime Minister didn't come itself to negotiate with the Opposition, led by the Conservative Leader of the Opposition, the Earl of Windbury, who described the Bill as a travesty, the Prime Minister allowed the Senate Majority Leader to enter negotiations with the Leader of the Opposition and the Liberals' segments of the Coalition that broke ranks with the Prime Minister on this particular issue, bringing themselves to vote alongside the Conservatives against the first reading of Section 24.B, aiming at reforming the peerage system. As stated earlier, as the Prime Minister confirmed to the Opposition that the provisions about the Senate would be scrapped, with the Bill focusing solely on the Chamber of Representatives.

Another provisions of this Bill, alongside the increase of seats in the lower house would be the empowering of the Boundary Commission of the Chamber of Representatives, to propose, after every 10 years, after the decade Luthorian census is held, a modification of the size of the First Chamber, if they saw fit. Again, the Chamber of Representatives would have the authority and need to vote on every recommendation on its size made by the Boundary Commission, would will also be tasked with the drawing of constituencies that would be awarded a seat in the Chamber of Representatives. With the new reform, the Representation of the People Act 5616's provisions on the mixed-member proportional representation system that Luthori uses for its elections, that stipulates that half the members of the Chamber of Representatives are elected through a first-past-the-post electoral system and the rest is elected through proportional representation, have been reaffirmed by the Increased Representation Act, with no changes in that.

As such, the Boundary Commission now receives the mission, by Parliament to draw 217 constituencies that would each represent, on average 687.345 inhabitants, the Chairman of the Commission, Richard Myers (LAB) MP was relatively pleased by this new mission, announcing that the Commission would be pursuing this mission by creating new, neutral constituencies in which no political parties would receive an enormous advantage through gerrymandering. This Act is a great victory for the Prime Minister, as her time is slowly but steadily running out before the 5640 general elections, in which the National Labour Party is projected to lose their plurality in favour of the Conservative Party under the Earl of Windbury, that would, if poll numbers reveals to be right, become Luthori's next Prime Minister after these elections, although Prime Minister Hall also showed the Luthorian people that she had the capabilities to defeat these projections, no matter how bleak they could be.

Labour Government announces development of new aircraft carrier-class, replacing Empress Elizabeth-class.
November 5639

Fort William - The Secretary of State for Defence, Cooper Simpson today announced on the radio that Luthori would be developing a new class of aircraft carriers, with the aim of replacing the current-ageing Empress Elizabeth-class of aircraft carriers that is currently used by the Imperial Luthorian Navy. In one of the last great acts of the sitting Labour Government, the Imperial Defence Committee came to the conclusion that a new class of aircraft carriers was needed to equip the Navy, as the currently-used Empress Elizabeth-class of aircraft carriers is slowly becoming more obsolete compared to other nations' aircraft carriers' capabilities.

While the Imperial Luthorian Navy remains one of the world's largest and finest fleets currently operating in the World, it is safe to say that it's impact on both Luthorian policy and international politics has been minimal, with the ILN remaining in their bases or exercising in either the Sea of Lost Souls or the Artanian Sea, with next to zero projection capabilities in the rest of the World, except in the South Ocean. The Luthorian Government's concern about the state of its military seems to have only increased with the outbreak of the Second Kundrati War in 5636, where the Cabinet, siding with the conservative elements of the military, announced a large mobilisation effort that would put the economy into a recession, as the Fort William Stock Exchange (FWSE) fell into a downturn spiral.

Secretary of Defence Simpson confirmed that Luthori would undertake a years-long process to replace the current two aircraft carriers of the Imperial Luthorian Navy, the HMS Indomptable and HMS Empress Audrey, with two brand new aircraft carriers that would be deployed in the already used installations of the Navy's aircraft carriers, in the Home Territory and in Mordusia. The Secretary, by this announcement, seems to confirm the statement from Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister, Ethan Benowitz-Harrington, who bluntly announced during a podcast on international relations focused on the Empire's foreign policy, that Luthori would be "deploying" an aircraft carrier battle group in Mordusia. Although, Luthori maintained a permanent presence in Mordusia through its Southern Carrier Battle Group, in Western Mordusia. The Secretary of State for Defence reaffirmed that the Empire's committment to its allies' security was "paramount", when justifying the decision to the press.

When asked about Istalian communications with the Foreign Office, the Defence Secretary redirected questions towards the Department of Foreign Affairs, while being confident that Istalian and Luthorian diplomats were in communication about Luthori's naval deployments. Stating that "misinformation" about the Imperial Government's policy isn't the aimed objective here, as communication is paramount to a successful defence.

The Government announced that the two incoming aircraft carriers' name are going to be known after the completion of their construction, expected to happen between a timeframe of five to ten years. It is likely that the current Emperor's name be used for one of the carriers, as a sort of "tribute" to the imperial institution and a continuation of standard Luthorian policy when it comes to naming naval vessels (naming them after monarchs). The Opposition, headed by the Earl of Windbury criticised the Government's short-sighted decision, with the Earl criticising the Government on its usage of aircraft carriers and the necessity of the program amid times of economic turmoil and recovery. The Tories, while opposing the program in public, supported wholeheartdly the motion brought before them by the Senate Majority Leader (Leader of the Second Chamber) by whooping margins.

Pacifist organisations and Radio Free Terra criticised the Government's decision, with Radio Free Terra calling it the "most short-sighted decision" in modern Luthorian history, doomed to cause "more trouble" than it resolves, increased global tension caused by this announcement in this already volatile situation may prove to be a total miscalculation from the Mordusians and Luthorians.
"With all due respect, this is a bunch of malarkey." ~ President Joseph R. Biden Jr.

Breaking: Tories under Lord Windbury secures plurality; Hall loses gambit for third term as Prime Minister.
August 5640

[Image: effcd010-394e-11ef-8678-672b03790cf6.jpg]

Fort William - Once again in Luthorian history, the Luthorian people headed up to the polls to choose their next Prime Minister and this year, in 5640, this was no different, the sitting Prime Minister, Olivia Hall was trying to secure another term for the National Labour Party and her Government, while the Conservative Opposition Leader, the Earl of Windbury was trying to acheive a decisive victory for his part, and putting an end to 10 years of Labour Government.

As the night was young, the Luthorian Broadcasting Corporation and other major media outlets begun their electoral night programming, in the context of a weakened economy, a costly occupation of southern Kundrati and an expansion of the lower house, the Conservative Party had all the chances with them to secure a sizeable and working plurality, putting them at the forefront for forming a new government. The Leader of the Opposition ran a three-points campaign focused around the rising worry of Luthorians about the debt and economic recession, greatly using Labour's weak record on the issue at their advantage, he also ran a campaign for abstentionist voters, who usually do not vote in these elections and finally focused around the costly occupation of Kundrati, which was becoming more and more unpopular to the Government's handling of the situation.

What came during that night, was first, the projection of the exit polls for the constituencies, there was 217 constituencies that were up for grabs after the last electoral law. In the exit polls, the Conservatives were projected to win 84 constituencies out of 217, the National Labour Party was projected to win 51 constituencies, the Liberal Party was projected to secure 38 constituencies, the Moderates were projected to win 21 constituencies, the Greens projected to win 17 seats and finally, the Hosian Democrats finish dead last with 6 constituencies secured. A total wipeout for both the Hosian Democrats and the Radical Democrats, the former failing to make gains and the latter being totally wiped out from the Chamber of Representatives for now, but this wipeout was expected for most analysts as both parties traditionally perform in a more convincing manner in the proportional representation field.

Then the numbers for proportional representation arrive, the Conservatives secured 62 seats (28.5 %) in the Chamber's allocated seats for proportional representation, bringing their total number of seats to 146, the National Labour Party secured 44 seats (20 %) in the Chamber of Representatives, bringing their total numbers to 95 seats, their lowest performance ever, the Moderates secured their best performance yet, winning 35 seats (16 %), taking advantage from both the Conservatives and Labour's exposed flanks and flaws among many voters to push themselves as a respectable alternative to both the Conservatives and the Labour Party, that brings the Moderates' total number of seats to 56, the Liberal Party secured 14.5 % of the vote, winning 31 seats in the Chamber of Representatives, bringing their total number of seats to 69, becoming the House's third-largest delegation.

The biggest loser of this election are the Greens, who continues their decline, after only winning 17 constituencies, the Greens secured 20 seats (9.5%) in the proportional representation seats, bringing their total number of seats to 37, down from 38, while, it should be considered that if the Chamber of Representatives was already expanded during the last term, the Greens would have lost more seats than they have now, only losing one seat in their caucus, it should noted though that the Greens are no longer the fourth-largest party, being down to the fifth-largest party. The Radical Democrats secured their best performance yet, winning 13 seats (6%) in the Chamber of Representatives and the Hosian Democrats came last with 12 seats, nonetheless bringing their seats numbers to 18 seats, leaving the last spot to the Radical Democrats.

The Conservatives are triumphant, the National Labour Party is crushed, out of 434 seats, the Tories hold 146, becoming the first largest party and securing a plurality securing their place of prominence to become the next Government. Hypothesis are hard to make, although, out of every scenario possible, the Conservative-Liberal Government would secure 215 seats, two seats shy from the absolute majority of 217 Members of Parliament (Chamber of Representatives), basically making such scenario impossible, a Conservative-Moderate coalition government (United Right) would be at 202, alongside support from the Hosian Democrats, winning an outright majority with 220 (+3 majority), a Conservative-Liberal-Moderate coalition government would secure a majority of 276 seats, a large majority to govern and leaving the Opposition with mere scraps.

Although the prerogative of forming a government remains with the Conservative leader, who was happy when making his victory speech, a normal sight when considering his electoral victory.

Lord Windbury Appointed as Prime Minister after Conservatives successfully forms a governing coalition.
October 5640

Fort William - The Lord Windbury, the architect of the Conservative Party's electoral success back in August, has been formally appointed as Prime Minister, Lord President of the Privy Council and Government Senate Leader. This appointment comes after the Most Honourable Earl announced that a "workable blueprint for the formation of a Government" had been found with both the Moderates and the Liberal Party, clearing a way towards the formation of a majority government in the recently expanded 434-seat Chamber of Representatives - with the Lord Windbury emerging as its sole and most important leader.

Be that as it may, the Earl of Windbury has built around him a coalition government and has asked the Emperor to appoint the ministers of his Government. Needless to say that key posts in the first ministry have been awarded to the Prime Minister's key allies in both the Senate and the Chamber of Representatives, with the former making a big comeback into government, after having been mostly excluded from it ever since the end of the Lord Northminster's Government. The entry of the Marquess of Porchey, the Marquess of Rottingham or the Viscount Braverman into government marks the revigoration of the "Classical Conservatism" of the Party - after having been previously sidelined in favour of either Liberal or Radical conservatism.

The style of governance of the incoming administration is likely going to be one, if not the one, of the most decentralising of all recent Luthorian ministries, in a sharp contrast to the Hall ministries' avocation of greater integration within the Federal Government. The Classical Conservative, or Toryist philosophy of the Conservative Party is sure to put it at odds with both the classical Liberal Party and the liberal conservative Moderates. Nevertheless, the fact is that the Conservatives are now back in government, after a decade spent in the Opposition's benches during Mrs. Hall's Prime Ministership.

The new Luthorian Prime Minister addressed the nation from the podium of Number Ten following his formal appointment, while optimistic about the future in his address, the Prime Minister nonetheless warned of "domestic and foreign enemies that would be in capacity of threatening the Luthorian Empire", and vowed that the incoming government "would draw a hard-line stance against any perceived 'enemies of the state'", stating that the Crown's Government wouldn't be threatened by "thugs, traitors, terrorists, criminals and enemies alike". This mark a fundamental shift from Luthori's perceived rhetoric during the Hall administration, focused around Luthori's status as a global democratic leader.

The arrival of the Lord Windbury to the Premiership marks the return of Luthori's traditional exceptionalism in foreign policy, with especially the appointment of the Shadow Foreign Secretary, Lord Porchey to the Foreign Office acting as a reminder of that state of affairs. While nothing would directly change in Luthori's foreign policy immediately, as the Tories would very much continue to project stability in foreign policy to reassure the markets, subtle differences will be felt at some point, with Luthori becoming far less restraint in pursuing her goals through all means necessary. Arriving to the Foreign Office today, the Foreign Secretary aimed at reassuring partners and foreigners alike of Luthori's foreign policy, stating that the Luthorian Empire would remained focused in her policy of "securing and expanding current relationships and creating new relationships" for the reduction of tensions through the cementing of long-term ties between nations and Luthori.

Already, the Government entered its first day in office with a herculean task ahead of it, faced with a recovering economy due to short-sighted decisions from the precedent government that sent the markets into a frenzy and sent the Luthorian economy into a recession, largely contributing to Hall's ultimate defeat at the last elections, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Viscount Braverman stated that the current situation of Luthori was "fairly delicate" and that only "long-term thought and effective decision-making process" would help Luthori to restore some sense of economic growth, as the Fort William Stock Exchange remained growing with positive results ever since the end of the Kundrati War.

"The economy, as it stands today, is one of the worst economies in recent Luthorian history, but with effects mitigated through the interventionist policy of the former government", stated the Viscount Braverman in his maiden speech to the Senate as Chancellor of the Exchequer. "Ruthless spending and inefficient programs and a blatant lack of self-mesure or long-term planification, led to this situation, although as stated earlier in this address to the House, it remains salvagable", the Chancellor then introduced his visions to restore balance to state budgets, through a lengthy program of fiscal conservatism applied to government finances for the time, returning to a policy of paying off Luthori's debts to its debtors through most means available to the Treasury.

The Luthorian Government refused to comment on the possibility of bringing up former Beiteynu's large debt towards Luthorian debtors as a way to pay off Luthori's current debt.

Justice Department under new Lord Chancellor to launch twin investigations on Legionary Kundrati.
December 5640

[Image: %2Fmethode%2Ftimes%2Fprod%2Fweb%2Fbin%2F...esize=1200]

Fort William - Luthorian Lord Chancellor, Dame Katherine Bennett, 42, has today announced that the Department of Justice, alongside with help from the Imperial Foreign Intelligence Agency would conduct two investigations on the former Legionary regime in Kundrati. Lord Chancellor Bennett introduced the creation of two investigative teams, both tasked with enlightening the World upon the now-dismantled Legionary regime's actions during its 60-year long reign over the country. The Department announced that the inquiries upon the human rights abuse during the Legionary regime and foreign backing towards the Legionary regime would be undertaken, with the seeming support of the international community.

Quote:"It is important, that after a such regime existed in our world, that the light be set upon all wrongdoings done by that said regime. It is a lesson for future generations to not fall under the spell of radicalism and extremism, except if they so wish to fall under the same circumstances that Kundrati is today finding herself into."

The two inquiries would focus on the role of foreign organisations/nations upon the survival of the Kundrati regime and on the human rights violation that happened during the 60-long years of the regime's existence, as Kalistan inquiries later communicated to the Foreign Office in Luthori have been reporting. While taking into account the findings of the Kalistanis in terms of human rights violations as being "earth-shattering", the Lord Chancellor stated that further investigations would be undertaken by the Luthorian Department of Justice, in a government-sanctioned investigation, in collaboration with provisional authorities present in Kundrati.

The Chief Investigator of the Human Rights Violations Inquiry in Kundrati (HRVIIK), Sir George Kenneth, 38, stated that the Government's objective through this inquiry was to make "all the light" upon potential activities that could be grounded as being crimes against humanity, war crimes, and other crimes that can added into the long list of crimes thoroughly documented by the Government of Kalistan in their own inquiry. Meanwhile, the Chief Investigator of the State or Private-Sponsored Support Investigation (SPSSI), Peter Oliver, 57, stated the following when asked upon the objective of his investigation.

Quote:"A state like that, can't and cannot survive alone in this increasingly interconnected world, the mere fact that the between their total seizure of power in 5591 and their ousting in 5638, a whopping 47 years, almost five decades, were spent with the spectre of the Legion hanging upon our heads. Five decades during which, they stood to a Coalition of numerous nations twice, before being finally defeated by this said coalition. It is important that, after these five decades, we know, who, when and why, some international actors lent their help to the Kundrati fascist regime, be it governments, private corporations or even citizens, the mere fact that such an atrocious regime was allowed to remain in power for so long without much international concern from some states shows the clear need for an inquiry on that matter.

The Luthorian Justice Secretary Bennett thanked the Government of Kalistan for its "steadfast" and "necessary" inquiry upon the human rights violations of the fascist Kundrati regime. Furthermore, the Justice Secretary appealed to the transitional authorities in Kundrati, a country still governed by a system of occupations zones by Luthori, Hutori and Davostag upon some segments of the nation, the Justice Secretary declared.

Quote:"Luthori is expecting a steadfast support from the Kundrati authorities upon working with Luthorian investigation teams to increase awareness on this issue, as merely ignoring it isn't going to resolve the deep-rooted issues of Kundrati-Luthorian relationship to this day. We are looking forward collaborating with Kundrati investigation teams to unveil the full truth behind this whole mystery and crimes."

The Luthorian Prime Minister hasn't yet answered on the requests for interviews from Luthorian journalists, with the Prime Minister's Office redirecting the Prime Minister's comments to the Department of Justice for increased information. The Department of Justice and the Imperial Foreign Intelligence Agency have both shown themselves to be much more accessible to the media in this time of inquiry, in hopes of enhancing openness and transparency to the media in this fragile matter. The Department of Justice is expecting a full release in "less than 12 months", with additional elements being added to the inquiry if needed.

The Imperial Household confirms rumours of Empress Valeria's pregnancy
April 5640

Fort William - The Orange Palace has today announced to the media that the Empress Valeria was pregnant, confirming rumours that have grown ever since the Empress' relative withdrawal from public eye since some weeks, the Imperial Household Ministry confirmed the Orange Palace's statement by adding that the Imperial Family was aware of the Empress' pregnancy since at least 4 weeks, with the Emperor and other members of the imperial family taking over more and more of Her Imperial Majesty's appointments and representations after the private announcement.

Emperor Richard II and Empress Valeria's couple had seemingly "decided to wait" until having children ever since their large marriage ceremony in Fort William in 5636, and today, four years into their marriage, the two senior royals seemingly decided that now was the perfect time to have children together.

The Prime Minister of Luthori, Lord Windbury extended his and the Government's "warmest congratulations to the imperial couple" for this "extraordinary event for the House of Orange-Villayn", the Home Office (Home Secretary) and the Foreign Office also extended similar messages at the attention of the Imperial Family. Other members of the imperial family reacted to the official announcement through small, warm declarations to the press or in social media.

Emperor Richard II was unavailable for a comment upon this development for his family, but the presence of the Empress upon some events is being called onto question, as the Empress and Emperor are supposed to attend the Kalistani Empress' wedding in September and the Imperial Family's doctors have asked the Imperial Household Ministry to reduce the amount of public engagements that the Empress should attend, in order to preserve both her health and that of the future baby, a call that was repeated by the Emperor himself.

News of the Empress' pregnancy created a "imperial fever" in Luthorian media ever since, with numerous Luthorians feeling "excited" to "know" whether or not this baby will be a "baby boy" or "baby girl", the first leading to the first succession of Emperors since Emperor Albert and Emperor Charles VII, or if its a baby girl, Luthori will once again have an Empress after the Emperor's death or abdication.

Bennett gives long-awaited update on investigation on Kundratijian fascism, points finger at Yishelem.
November 5641

Fort William - Justice Secretary and Lord Chancellor, Catherine Bennett, appeared before the media for an extraordinary and unscheduled press conference focused on the twin investigations conducted upon the Legionary regime in Kundrati, be it in the form of human rights violations and covert international support towards the Legionary regime. The Lord Chancellor's intervention was supposed to be brief, concise and not receive any question and answers session that could potentially hinder Mrs. Bennett's ability to continue working on the investigation alongside the whole judicial apparatus.

The conference lasted for three hours instead.

The Justice Secretary released a bombshell development, thanks to the collaboration from Kundrati's Government with the Luthorian investigation, files about foreign involvement were released to the Luthorian Government, which officially acknowledged their existence today, these documents stated how foreign states, mainly Beiteynu, collaborated with the Legionary government in assuring its safety from external threats by giving them missile technology.

The Luthorian Judicial Office confirmed that 6 individuals, Urban Eshkol, Martin Shapiro, Theodore Meechum, Arlin Lerne, Avsalom Kadiyot and Pete Ish-Shalom were officially indicted by the Luthorian Government in a case brought forward to the Judiciary for further exploration, to ensure the fair proceedings of such investigation, the Luthorian Government has indicted to the authorities in Yishelem that these men be brought forward to Luthori "in short notice".

A request for extradition that is expected to be made quickly by the remaining authorities in the Holy City. The Justice Secretary although warned the Yeudis that if these people were not brought forward to the Luthorians in a "short timeframe", the Luthorian Empire would deem necessary to "engage in any sort of action necessary to bring these criminals to justice", echoing a statement from the Chancellor of the Exchequer who recently confirmed that Luthori "was expecting" its money back from debt-riddled Yishelem.

These two statements from the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Justice Secretary seems to increase the pressure on Yishelem, as the city-state finds itself under the radar of international organisations for its alleged help to the Kundrati fascists - and with Fort William's patience and time running thin - one thing is certain, any response from the Yeudis in Yishelem would bring consequences, whether they are good or bad. The Prime Minister, the Earl of Windbury only stood by his Government's "proper answer" when "dealing with potentially terrorist-aligned government", which brought "devastation and sadness to the Luthorian Empire".

The Luthorian Ambassador to Yishelem reaffirmed that the Government's line is the one followed by the Foreign Office - with him, negotiating with Yishelem for the return of Luthorian money lent to Beiteynu back into the Home Territory or upon the return of wanted criminals in Luthori's judicial system for further investigations.

Imperial Govt "taken aback" by recent events in Amudim, says that "stability" in Migrants' Pass "must be preserved through unity of 3PF"
February 5642

Fort William - Amid information from Yishelem that armed troops had seized the initiative - and occupied the Holy City of Yishelem. The Luthorian Government was taken aback from these information, with the Luthorian Prime Minister being awaken at 3 am by numerous staffers informing him of the currently unfolding situation in Yishelem, with the Imperial Defence Committee hosting an emergency meeting to oversee the situation and evaluate the risk towards Luthorians in the Yeudi city-state.

The Foreign Office hosted a impromptu press conference at 6 am, assembling a very reduced and trusted core of journalists within the Foreign Office, this press conference was more akin to a briefing than a traditional press conference, with the Prime Minister himself stating the recent developments in Amudim.

Quote:"It is rare that such events happen in Majatra, and as far as we are concerned, it seems it's the first time it happens on former Beiteynu territory, the Luthorian Government has been trying to establish some sort of contact with Yishelem, by contacting the Luthorian Embassy in Yishelem, yet the current blackout is hindering our efforts"

He also reaffirmed the Luthorian Government's current stance on stability on the Migrants' Pass, amid fear of instability in the region caused by the military march on Beiteynu.

Quote:The Emperor's Government remains committed at the preservation of the current status quo established by the 3rd Point Federation and the relative stability that it brought to a once, unruly part of the World. The Crown's Government, as par with being a signatory of the Migrants' Accords, is currently in discussion and aiming to establish contact to all states within the Federation to reassure Luthorian support if needed.

The Imperial Government, while stating its worries about the current situation unfolding in Beiteynu, also stated that "when the dust settles, some issues between Luthori and Yishelem should be resolved at once, be it under this government, or under a new administration - following what happens after the current blackout".

Due to the info from the Yishelem, the FWSE will be going in a downward turn according to recent projections after opening on Monday.

Imperial Luthorian Army deployed in Yishelem to restore "calm, stability and order", Premier states in address.
March 5642

Fort William - The Luthorian Prime Minister today confirmed that an operation aimed at restoring "stability, calm and order" to the "Holy City" of Yishelem, as the situation seems to deteriorate in Yishelem, as we are talking, Luthorian troops of the Imperial Luthorian Army alongside weapons from the Imperial Luthorian Navy and the Imperial Luthorian Air Force made their way into Yishelem and aiming to restore a "sense of confidence" in the Holy City, by pledging to "restore order, stability and calm" to the streets, which have been rocked by military units ever since their incursion into Yishelem during that month.

The Prime Minister, the Lord Windbury already stated that Luthori was "ready" to do the "necessary" to ensure that stability, deemed essential for the whole region, be restored, and today, it seems that a more radical option of the Luthorian Cabinet was chosen, with the Imperial Luthorian Army itself entering Yishelem to step in and restore order itself.

The Secretary of State for Defence, Sir Christopher Dexton, stated that the Luthorian action has been "deemed" necessary in light of no development on the current blackout situation after days of blackout in Yishelem, the Luthorian Prime Minister stated that Luthorians living in Yishelem were "unreachable" by government services due to this blackout, sparking fears of Luthorians being harmed by military forces in the area within the Cabinet.

"We [the Cabinet] preferred that the lives of our fellow citizens abroad be not subject to any form of risk due to the currently volatile situation in Yishelem. The Crown's Government has the mission to protect all Luthorians present around the Globe and as such, has the prerogative to enact any form of action deemed necessary to enforce such mission into reality", stated the Defence Secretary during a press conference about the operation.

The Citadel stated that Luthori had deployed 5.497 soldiers (especially from infantry divisions and mechanized division) in Yishelem to help "restore order" to the area and "restore internet communications" with the rest of the world, as a way to "make light" on what happened during this blackout. The Luthorian Embassy in Yishelem remains unavailable due to the blackout engulfing all of the city and greatly hindering communications between the World and Yishelem, which effectively lives in its own world as of now.

The Luthorians didn't stopped at half-measures, with Luthori deploying the Home Strike Group (Carrier Strike Group) to accompany the forces in Yishelem, the Defence Staff stating that the CSG would be withdrawn "as soon as the Luthorian troops were inland" and the Imperial Air Force helping paratroopers going within Yishelem itself to secure rural parts of the City State.

The Luthorian Government stated that it was "attempting" to enter contact with 3PF member states, but reassured that Luthori would still oblige by the Migrants' Accords, and reaffirming that Luthori's involvement is merely for restoring stability and order to this unstable land. It seems that Luthori's intervention was also encouraged by fears that Yishelem under high instability, might be not be able to pay off their debts to both Luthori and Hutori, something that is worrying many in Fort William and in the FWSE, which entered its fourth day of downturn ever since the beginning of the week, a thing that isn't going to stop as of now, as the FWSE plunged again after the news.
