The biggest news in Kalistan at the moment is not the crisis in Lourenne or the latest record, but a major breakthrough in thermonuclear fusion development. For the first time in the history of the project, Kalistani researchers have passed the ignition point.

"We are thrilled to announce that on evening of October 11, 5089," said Program Director Dr. Janice Schmidt< "our team working on the sheared flow Stabilized, Z-Pinch Experimental Fusion Reactor here at the Bozo River Facility have reached and surpassed equilibrium in a Deuterium-Tritium fusion reaction. We have calibrated the pulse to the correct frequency, and have created a stable column of burning plasma capable of generating more electrical power than it takes to operate the machine. We maintained the fusion reaction for six minutes before shutting down the machine, creating a net plus 8.65 megajoules of energy, and generating a net positive of tritium fuel, which we successfully fed back into the reactor over the test period. The implications of this breakthrough are quite revolutionary for clean energy."

The Fusion Reactor project, which was first theorized six years ago, was expected to draw more international investment than it has. "This reactor was built nearly entirely out of Kalistani capital," said Schmidt. "While this has slowed progress in some areas, it hasn't hindered us otherwise. We had hoped to have a functioning commercial reactor by now. But that is not far off now that we have reached equilibrium."

Schmidt congratulated the tenacious optimism of her team. "If it wasn't for the long hours, the willingness to try things which were unorthodox, and the resourcefulness of this team, we wouldn't be half way to equilibrium yet," said Schmidt. "It is due to the positive mental attitude and malleability of the team that we are here today."

Schmidt noted that she and the team will now vary the work schedule they have maintained for the last six years. "While one part of the team will continue to perform experiments with the reactor, another section will begin overseeing the construction of the first commercial reactors at the Bozo River Facility. The research team will begin experiments with higher wattage and move toward even greater compression of the plasma. Ultimately, we need to hit a Q=2 or higher to make this commercially viable."

Schmidt explained the role of the other part of the team. "The Construction team will built a somewhat larger version of the experimental reactor, that is about 5 feet tall and about the size of a sedan. This commercial reactor will ultimately become self powering, and will produce enough electricity to power Bozo River and the base here. As we reach higher Q ratios, new reactors will be constructed closer to larger cities, replacing the current LNG power plants, who will go off line one by one. KALNAPECO expects to maintain them for a period of 15 years as a back up, but then will decommission them, one by one. Plant operators will be retrained in maintenance of the new Fusion Reactors. Over all we expect the total cost of the project, including building, retraining and decommissioning to cost 375 million Rubles, over the next 10-15 years."

This major breakthrough signals a massive step toward a green energy future for The Republic. "As for other nations," said Schmidt, "I imagine KALNAPECO and KalMD will be willing to sell commercial reactors, but I do expect them to be sold at a premium, now that Kalistan has borne all the R&D costs. But as of this point, I haven't heard from the board about any foreign interest at all in Kalistan's fusion energy project, even from the countries that pride themselves on their environmental policies." She shrugged. "Kalistanis will celebrate this day regardless of what other nations will do."

Those fleeing the coming civil War in Lourenne have increased from a trickle to more than 400 a day in the last 8 weeks

At the International Terminal in Republican International Airport in Kaliburg, customs agents are working overtime to ensure that arriving Lourennais Nationals who are leaving Lourenne temporarily can get to the various services that the Republican Government has set up to accommodate them. The Government has set up "The Office Of Refugee Inprocessing" under the Foreign Ministry to begin ensuring that those fleeing Lourenne's civil war are provided with all documents necessary, as well as offering a host of services, such as immunizations and free physical check ups, a small upfront cash payment of close to K100 a person, expanded cambio and banking services, and temporary shelter for new arrivals. Certified counsellors associated with the Ananto Yearly Meeting are also on hand to offer counselling services for all those who have experienced trauma in Lourenne.

"We are doing what we can to make sure that the new arrivals' needs are being met, for the short term," said Office Spokesman Garret Newton. "We want to make sure that our friends are comfortable, and can offer them a bed for the night and then allow them, on their first full day in country, to access a number of different options, including hostel and hotel vouchers for single individuals and families respectively, as well as homestays, internet and phone services, and financial services. Once they arrive, we consider them, for the purposes of our law, citizens of the Republic, and we want to make sure they have access to the same benefits that all citizens have, regardless of their situation."

The Office conducts entry interviews, which are cursory and involve basic questions such as: Do you plan to remain in the Republic for more than 6 months? Do you have friends or Family within the Republic? What are your essential skills/profession in Lourenne? Will you be interested in working for pay while in Kalistan? and so forth. Single young men and women are in particularly high demand, and are welcomed to join the National Service Program on a temporary basis, if they are so interested, to provide them with semi permanent employment and housing, provided they speak Vrassan semi-fluently. But employment is not required for entry or to remain within the Republic.

Most of those who anticipate remaining in Kalistan for the long term are encouraged to begin to seek permanent residence and employment throughout the Republic. "We want to make sure that the new arrivals understand that the facilities that they first encounter are only intended to be temporary, and they are highly encouraged to go elsewhere within the Republic to get more settled. We only intend for each new arrival to remain here at the inprocessing center for a week at the most. But we anticipate a larger influx of refugees, and so it is imperative that those who seek shelter and respite from the fighting go look for an apartment and a job somewhere else in the Republic." The Office particularly recommends the Lourennais enclave at Dulnerstaad as a starting point.

"Years ago, the Republic welcomed a significant number of Lourennais citizens to settle in Dulnerstaad. Close enough to their homeland so they could return at their leisure, but far enough away that they could bring a new flavor to Kalistani culture. That enclave has kept their traditions, and though hundreds of years have passed, they still maintain much of those traditions. The new arrivals may feel more comfortable among people who they can speak with in their own language, and who sort of straddle both worlds and can teach them about integrating into a wider Kalistani society."

AeroKal, Kalistan's primary commercial airline, is expecting to double flights to the Republic from Eroncourt. "The Airline has generously offered subsidies for plane tickets and will fly all those seeking asylum in the Republic tickets at cost," said Newton. "Our goal is to ensure that all those who do not seek involvement in this civil war can find safety and peace in the Republic, and go on about their lives with minimal disruption." Newton expects anywhere from 100 to 300 thousand refugees from Lourenne, "...but we are prepared for more if they come."

The Kalistani Navy might be in serious need of upgrading, but the Merchant Marine fleet of the Republic remains among the top fleets in the Anantonese Ocean. Seven years ago, Mariner Captain Marcus Creighton sailed a massive fleet to the Majatran Sea, and spend the better part of the year selling Kalistani goods, petroleum, arms, and ODEN products to Majatran Nations.

Now another Merchant captain James Coletrane, aims to duplicate the feat. The Merchant fleet he is assembling in Sulari will carry millions of rubles worth of trade goods to the same waters this fall. "We were able to sail with impunity, and to our knowledge, the situation in the region has not significantly changed within the last seven years. So: It makes sense to put together a new expedition to the Majatran Sea."

Coltrane is putting together a floating caravan of trade goods similar to the one Creighton assembled. "We won't be selling any oil, though," said Coltrane. "We have noted that in Creighton's expedition, most of the oil was either sold at a severe discount or returned to KALNAPECO. It seems that bringing a commodity like petroleum to an area of the world where its supply is abundant, even if it is tightly controlled. We had far more success with the other items: guns and ammunition, and drugs, especially. Buyers demonstrated that there is a huge market for substances, illicit or otherwise, in the region, and heavy and inexplicable government prohibition only increases demand and profitability to smugglers and black market actors."

As for Kalistan, Coltrane aims to merely be the supplier. "Like Creighton, we'll be the fleet who brings the things the people want to them. You gotta go where the customers are after all. We'll sell to distributors, who will of course take the goods and retail them. After the distributors take the stuff off our hands, what happens to the stuff is no longer our concern." His intention is to carry all manner of licit trade goods and sell them in international waters. Things like clothes, cars, machine parts, raw plastics, food and that sort of thing. "But the real money is in the things that these governments ban. Since they refuse to import Kalistani Goods that they have some hypocritical objection to, we will simply provide yet another floating market for entrepreneurs to acquire their own supply of these goods for their own domestic markets."

Coltrane has said his fleet will be assembled by early September, and will set sail for the Majatran aiming to arrive in October. A film crew will join Coltrane to document the journey for a documentary film on Kalistani Merchant Marines.

The Premier of the Republic held private meetings with the High Chancellor of the Kingdom of Lourenne, Larosière to officially welcome the government to Kalistan. Following the meetings, the Premier briefly addressed the situation and Kalistan's role in the deepening crisis.

"We want to first take this opportunity to welcome our friends from across the Passage to Kalistan. More than two centuries ago, the Government of Kalistan made itself a protectorate of the Kingdom of Lourenne, to manage foreign policy while Kalistan recovered from a long period of chaos. Lourenne offered us shelter from a hostile and unpredictable world, and then when we were once more on our feet, they returned our sovereignty without a second thought. Today, we repay that debt, and offer the Government of Lourenne shelter as it weathers its own storms at home.

"The Government of Lourenne will sit here in Eveari, the ancient seat of the Kalistani Emperors, and a fitting site for such auspicious visitors. The Government will be permitted to utilize all facilities in Eveari for official Lourennais Government matters, and for the duration of the Conflict, Eveari will be treated as an international city. All Lourennais Officials associated with the Government in Exile will live under Lourennais Laws, and will be granted extraterritoriality. Their activities will proceed unhindered within the city of Eveari, and all public facilities will be put at their disposal.

"The Republic will continue to accept and integrate Lourennais asylum seekers in Kalistan, under the ongoing terms , and will endeavor to facilitate any and all consular services that the new arrivals require of their government while it sits in Eveari.

"With Regard to the arrival of the Dorvik Strike Group to the Anantonese Ocean, the Republican Government will note that Dorvik remains a signatory state to the Ananto Strait Accord. We call on them to abide by that Agreement with regard to the Strait. The Republic encourages Dorvik to provide assistance but to stop short from military intervention. The Second Fleet is on Standby at Bozo River, but our aim is to contain this conflict to Lourenne's homeland, and not let it spread outside of that territory. The President has commanded that the Bozo River Naval yards be opened for service and refueling to Lourenne's Fleet while they are blockading their ports. Details will be worked out for additional basing privileges in the Republic, but for the time being these emergency measures are a start.

"Finally, Kalistan has decided to retain diplomatic recognition of the Government in Exile sitting in Eveari, and have directed our Ambassadorial staff to continue to work with the Office of the Foreign Ministry of Lourenne at Eveari. We consider this a continuation of the Status Quo ex ante and look forward to continuing friendly relations with the Government and the reigning Sovereign of Lourenne."

Following the statement of the Premier, she offered her thanks to the people of Eveari for their willingness to host the Lourennais Government, and remained the rest of the evening consulting with the Lourennais Chancellor before returning to Kaliburg the next day.

Majatran Sea: President Čížek has issued a ultimatum to the maritime fleet of James Coletrane to not enter the majatran sea unless you seek conflict and if they do Deltaria will take action to protect commercial shipping and its interests within the Majatran Sea. The Ultimatum comes as James Coletrane is setting sail for Majatra in yet another "mission" to the continent. Deltarian officials have often called these missions "nothing more then a cover for smuggling" and have condemned them for hurting traditional Majatran trade and the rule of law. Now president Čížek has thus warned the incoming fleet that they must not enter the Majatran Sea, but many wonder if Deltaria is able to make such demands. 5 years ago Deltaria disbanded its Armed Forces after the civil war, instead opting for a small military police force to maintain order as the nation rebuild. It is now seeing the negative side of such approach, as it doesnt have the resources to potentially stop a incursion into the Majatran Sea and has seen countless of security risks over the years appear themselves as the main protector of Majatra, Deltaria, does no longer have the capacity to take upon itself that role.

Coletrane has yet to respond to the demands but the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Office of the President have already met to formalize a adequate response if the maritime fleet decides to ignore the given ultimatum.

Ignoring the ultimatum from the Government of Deltaria issued in August calling Kalistani merchants "smugglers" and threatening intervention, Captain James Coltrane, of the 2nd Kalistani Merchant Expedition to Majatra, set sail from Port Elga three weeks ago. He was in command of a trading flotilla consisting of more than 30 ships, carrying more than 150 million Rubles of cargo from the port at Sulari, and bound for the Majatran Sea.

"We will not be intimidated by Deltaria," said Coltrane. "As we will be operating in international waters, Deltaria would do well to not stop trade."

But just in case they should try, Coltrane added, "We've included a little insurance policy. We have outfitted several patrol craft with surface launch torpedo's and are packing 50 inflatable MS-15 LAFA craft. We have also employed the services of crew who were previously associated with the SP Militia Navy to provide security for the outfit. We do not expect to need them, but it is always better to have what you don't need than to need what you don't have."

Coltrane also noted that the fleet would be armed. "We are selling weapons, after all," he said with a laugh. "Many of these mariners are quite competent to handle them at need." Coltrane then wryly added, "They don't call Kalistan 'The Pirate Republic' for nothing..."

Coltrane's fleet is currently passing through the Aldegar Canal enroute to the Majatran Sea, and expects to arrive within the next two weeks.

Kalistani Privateers seize Deltarian Freighter Grandsflot following capture of a Kalistani Cargo Ship

Following successful commerce with traders representing half a dozen Majatran nations, as well as smugglers from three other regional state, the trading expedition of Captain James Coltrane, which has been away from Kalistan for a full year, was deemed a success. Coltrane traded with merchants from Potensi, Barmenistan, Vanuku, Kafuristan, and Badara, as well as unlicensed merchants from "other nations" at Coltrane's floating market in the Majatran Sea. Coltrane was elusive on which other nations these could possibly be, but it is surmised that merchants from some countries who have expressed objection to the Kalistani trade mission in the region could likely be counted among the merchants who purchased from Coltrane's market. "We wisely avoided Quanzar," said Coltrane, "by which I mean, we didn't sail anywhere near Quanzar. And if we sold to their merchants, they did not inform us that their destination was Quanzar or any of its ports. But it is not our job to keep track of that sort of paperwork."

"Over all, as with Creighton, the ODEN and KALMILINCO goods sold most readily," said Coltrane. "Those were always the most in-demand goods from traders of all countries we sold to." Drugs and weaponry were in particularly high demand, specifically because of local prohibitions toward importing those items. "But we also sold a lot of above board goods to traders, who were themselves just legitimate merchants looking to get a good deal which we could offer because of our non-compliance with local import customs and tax laws." In all, most of Coltrane's fleet has returned to Kalistan via the Mad Dog Ocean, with empty holds.

However, late in the expedition, a major incident occurred which still has repercussions. As lots and containers were sold and transferred, primarily at neutral ports possessing freight handling facilities but no functioning law or customs enforcement, remaining cargos were consolidated on fewer and fewer ships. One of the last remaining ships in the fleet, which contained more than K2 million in ODEN product, more than 20 high end Kalistani MOCOs valued at K1.36 million, and several hundreds of thousands of dollars in machine parts and scrap metal, was seized as Kalistani sailors departed from a neutral Vanukean port by the Republic of Deltaria.

"We had just finished transferring the last cargo from three other vessels, which had put to sea earlier that morning before sunrise," said Coltrane. "As the Silver Star set sail and entered international water, she was interdicted by a small force of heavily armed Deltarian patrol craft who ordered her to stop. She called to the Kalistani escorts, who would not make it to the site before nightfall, and was advised to surrender. The Silver Star surrendered and was boarded, her crew were placed under arrest for smuggling and piracy, and the ship fell under the control of Deltarian military officers, who promptly sailed the ship to Deltairan waters."

Meanwhile, Coltrane dispatched four armed trawlers and 15 LAFA craft to attempt to intercept the captured freighter before it made it to Deltarian National waters. As the freighter continued on, the interdiction force remained behind and met the Kalistani fleet at approximately 840 pm. A firefight ensued, and two Deltarian patrol craft were sunk by the more agile Kalistani fleet before contact was broken off. The Freighter arrived in Deltarian waters in the middle of the night and was impounded. Several LAFAs were damaged, and 7 men were wounded in the gun battle, but no Kalistanis were killed, and 3 Deltarians were captured at sea.

The Kalistani Government at this point, responding to the crisis, ordered Coltrane to cease trading his remaining goods, return the unarmed ships to Kalistan, and explore the possibility of recovering the lost freighter with his armed vessels. The Foreign Minister of Kalistan issued Coltrane a Letter of Marque which covered any nation that shows hostility toward the remainder of Coltrane's fleet, now transformed into a Privateer navy consisting of 45 LAFA craft, 7 supply and fuel ships, 3 militia Corvettes, and 8 Patrol Craft. Three of Coltrane's main financial backers have begun to raise money for the dispatch of a relief fleet to the region to resupply Coltrane if needed, until the ship is either recovered, or Coltrane has decided that it is impossible to recover the lost ship.

Then, yesterday, Coltrane reported that Kalistani Privateers had seized a small Deltarian freighter crossing the Majatran, The "Grandsflot" with a manifest that showed it was bound for Seleyan ports. Kalistani privateers boarded the ship after warning it to surrender or it would be torpedoed and sunk. The Ship struck its colors, and a small force of 8 men captured the ship, loaded the crew of 16 onto a LAFA under guard and returned them to Coltrane's base of operations. The ship then resumed its course out of the Majatran Sea, enroute to Kalistan. It will stop in neutral ports in Valruzia and Telamon for refueling and disposal of the Cargo, and is expected in Kalistan by early December, where it will be sold under Kalistan's Privateering Law as a Prize vessel. The Cargo is valued by Coltrane at more than K850,000.

Coltrane's Letter of Marque is set to expire in a year, but may be renewed if the Republic believes there is sufficient justification for the action.

Socialist Party 2500 Anniversary is scantily attended

The Socialist Party of Kalistan celebrated its 2500th Birthday this fall with a series of events that were poorly attended by the population. The Premier of the Republic capped off the "festivities" such as they were with an historical lecture discussing the accomplishments and the setbacks for Socialism in Kalistan.

Following the 2 and a half hour event which included two intermissions, a graphic arts presentation, and the Premier losing her voice three quarters of the way through the event, several attendees were interviewed.

"I thought the Premier is a pretty good premier all around. She has the right ideas, and is steering Kalistan on a decent course. Its pretty much what is to be expected of Socialist Government," said Ed Gallegos, of Lhassa, who was in town for sightseeing and found out about the lecture. "I've never met the Premier, but after, she shook our hands, signed something for the kids and took a picture with my wife. Nice lady. 12 hundred years is a long time..."

"Yet another claptrap propaganda montage at state expense," said Liberal Jonas van Kleeve. "Leave it to the Socialists to turn the National Budget into their little birthday party." When informed that the Socialist Party did not receive any funds from the National Government to throw this weeklong celebration, van Kleeve was incredulous. "That's what they'd like you to think."

The celebration started a week ago with a concert on Revolution Square by Moonshine, the alternative band from Sulari. "These guys are so old," said Henry B,, 14 of Kaliburg. "I was 6 years old when these guys started. Can you believe that... they should at least get some new bands in here." Most fans enjoyed the show, held in the outdoor Bandshell, as they sat and socialized with their neighbors, ate hotdogs, and tossed various toys around. "Moonshine is pretty fun to play football to," said Gerald X, of Bozo River, who was in town on a field trip. "And that it was a free concert, score!"

Other cultural events included a play, written by socialist playwright Alice Maldonado, about the struggle of workers to take control of their industries. "I liked the play," said Diedre Williams, of Kaliburg, "but I couldn't tell if it was set now or in like 2500. Because it seems that everything that happened in the play, we have already, so I was a little confused." It also included outdoor meetings by the Kaliburg Yearly Meeting of Brethren, two more concerts, and a week long art installation. "Taste of Kaliburg," a new festival started last year, was a big success, but few knew it was being held in conjunction with the 2500 anniversary. The event closed with the keynote by the Premier though that was one of the least attended events of all. "I'm here to party," said one guy. "Not to be lectured at about some principle."

"It seemed kind of slapdash, thrown together at the last minute," said Socialist Deputy from Eshar Nate Francis. "None of these things had anything to do with one another, and few of them had anything immediately apparent to do with the Socialist Party. We started seeing signs and street banners for the events like three days ago."

Though many of the Party stalwarts were disappointed that most of the country didn't turn out to mark the Party's 2500th anniversary, one attendee summed it up succinctly. "I mean, who cares?" asked Kaliburg native Jill Hayden-Hume, rhetorically. "The SP has been around so long, that it is synonymous with the country. Saying that SPoK is 2500 years old is like saying this rock is really 2500 years old. Who really cares? It's like saying dirt, or the air, is 2500 years old. They are just as ubiquitous as anything else. Good for them. They lasted this long. The country itself isn't that much older than the Socialist Party, and they were already a millennium and a half old when Kalistan became a Republic. They survived this long. So what?"

Given the SP's longevity, it is amazing that they have maintained such consistency over time, but few in the country seem to really give much thought to politicians or their Parties anymore. While the SP focuses on skirmishes in Majatra, which is on the other side of the globe, and no serious challenges for any office, The Socialist Party is once more ascendant again, and one Party rule is now a fact.

Coltrane's Letter of Marque extended for another Year

Captain James Coltrane's mission has been extended another year, according to the Foreign Minister's office. "Kalistan's cargo vessel is still detained in Deltaria, and Coltrane continues to take prizes in the Majatran," said MFA spokeswoman Julia Powers. "We are not satisfied that our grievances in the Sea have been adequately addressed, and so Coltrane will remain at sea until such time that he is either no longer needed or able to do so."

Coltrane's fleet has left a string of disasters and captures throughout the Majatran Sea since being authorized to take prizes nine months ago. While leaving neutral shipping to travel unmolested on the seas, ships going to or from Deltaria have been stopped and boarded by those under Coltrane's command with a respectable frequency. Most are allowed to carry on after a short delay, but a few have been turned back to Deltaria, with no loss of life.

"We have had a handful of incidents," said Coltrane, who was interviewed in Barmenistan in April. "Since November, we have had to engage more than three dozen ships who have ignored our signals at sea, or who have fired on our crew. We've seized 5 ships, for a total of 210,000 tonnes which have been sailed back to Kalistan. We've also seized a handful of private vessels flying Deltarian colors, which we have either incorporated into our fleet, or sold off at local neutral ports. In the process, we have lost 3 dhows, 4 LAFAs, and 16 sailors overall." Coltrane then added with a smile, "We have also gained a small tanker and a tramp freighter, both of whose Deltarian crews surrendered their ships to us specifically to join us."

Coltrane noted that he claimed the tanker himself, and made it his flagship. "We renamed her the Marcus 1, after good old Marcus Creighton," said Coltrane. "Having a tanker available to us is a great boon: The Fleet now can stay at sea longer without having to return to port to refuel as often. Coltrane's fleet has received resupply twice from Kalistan, and the venture's backers, most of whom stayed with the venture after the fleet was converted from a trade mission to an interdiction mission because of the promise of ongoing residual income from prize taking, have sent significant quantities of food, clothing, armaments and ammo, and several replacement LAFAs for the ones that were sunk. Both times, resupply happened in neutral ports. "Our favorite Liberty Port is Ur Bahra, Barmenistan. Barmenia is a fantastic state for privateers: They haven't had a functioning government for more than 20 years. Plus they are not signatories to the Law of the Seas, and so therefore do not feel compelled to worry themselves too much about what we do. We pay a small docking fee to local officials, who throw the doors of the city open for us. We pay taxes on the prizes and the cargo we sell in port, and buy from local merchants. It is a mutually beneficial relationship. We have even taken on some sailors from Barmenistan, who have served honorably to the man and woman."

The news that Deltaria has decided to include helicopters in its efforts to prevent Coltrane's efforts to pressure Deltaria to return stolen Kalistani property, and the decision of the Deltarian government to step up its defensive capability at sea is seen as a problem for the future by Coltrane. "They may want to, but they haven't yet. In the meanwhile, all Deltarian ships are fair game, and if Deltaria wants to increase their defense, they better get on it. Because we will continue to take Deltarian ships until they return the Silver Star and all its confiscated cargo."

Coltrane will have plenty of opportunity as the term of his Letter of Marque has been extended until November 5093, at least.

Tsargrad: Deltaria has finally managed to strike back at the Kalistani fleet under leadership of Coltrane after months of harassment and high economic loss caused by the pirate fleet in the Majatran Sea. The newly established Federal Navy with funds reserved by the Ministry of Finance, has managed to work in the past 3 months to reconstruct three old corvettes left rotting in a junkyard some years ago. These corvettes, though rusty, needed relatively low effort to be reconstructed causing them to be selected for a so called "Quick Reaction Force". This force had to be assembled within 3 months, including ships and a basic trained crew. The hull and other structure related issues were quickly fixed after which internal systems and the main gun of the ship were patched up by the only remaining military shipyard in the country situated in Balgrad. The crew had to be quickly trained, causing them to get minimal experience on the three ships. Furthermore precision guided munitions could not be made, only allowing the three corvettes to use their main gun as weapons. With these limitations they set sail for the Majatran Sea, where they tried to lure Coltrane and his fleet.

This plan succeeded, as Coltrane attacked the three covettes with his entire fleet. In the aftermath, Coltranes fleet was scattered but heavy damage was dealt to one of the corvettes, resulting in it totally incapacitated and at least 19 of its crew dead. The Deltarian formation did manage to sink two Kalistani corvettes, but one of the three main guns were also disabled after a Kalistani rocket hit it in the tube. In the aftermath, the incapacitated corvette was dragged back to Balgrad. It is unclear how this confrontation will affect Kalistani operations in the Majatran Sea but what is clear is that Deltaria, though limited in its options, has finally been able to somewhat fight back against the maritime incursion into what it deems its "home turf".
