HMDP candidate Putilova Terezilya elected head of the Council as the party doubles both their vote and seat shares, Nadiya begins shifting to the hard right: the Church's shadow emerges

Zarvospol, Kozakia. Today the results of the 5660 second confederal elections have finally been released by the CEFT and approved by the supreme court, to the shock of everyone, the Hosian Matriarchist candidate Putilova Terezilya has emerged victorious in the presidential election for the head of the Council, she managed to beat the incumbent Hyon Jung by securing 65% of the votes during the second round of voting in a historic upset. The Hosian Matriarchist Democratic Party has long been considered Nadiya's equivalent of the far right ever since its foundation by nuns of the Nadiyan Matriarch Church in 5590, they didn't manage to enter the NGA until 5620 where they won 10 seats but during the first confederal elections of 5653 they managed to secure 50 seats, yet for the second elections, the party launched a unique campaign across social media and even mobilized volunteers to help spread their agenda and support their candidate. Everyone in Nadiya excepted the presidential election to have a showdown between Hyon Jung and the candidate from the Pastels but with Putilova's victory, it shows that populist candidate can break through the electorates mind and help them achieve victory. Not only that, but the HMDP doubled their vote share and thus their seats in the NGA from 5% to 12,96% making them the fourth political block in the assembly and kicking out the TAN from the presidential council, same with the Chamber of Nations where the party secured 90 seats and in the chamber of Justice where they expanded their grip and secured 40% of the seats in the house. The HMDP now has 2 representatives in the presidential council and an undeniable dominance over the Chamber of Justice, this just shows that Nadiya has begun shifting to the right socially as a recent poll shows that most Nadiyans see the recent legislations support men's rights as scandalous and in opposition to the teachings of the MCN especially when coupled with the fact that the remaining progressive 3 justices in the supreme court are expected to hit their term limits by 5665 which in turn will secure the supreme court for the conservatives for the next decade.

A New Vision for the Love Party; The Birth of Crowned Liberalism.

Ever since the Love Party began to gradually recover and regain ground in Confederal Elections by virtue of simply being boring enough to promote stability, many have constantly asked, what does the Love Party promote? For most, the answer has been "liberalism". But that doesn't exactly say much. For others, it was nothing. They offered nothing. This week however, it seems that has changed as the Love Party has released a new manifesto, subscribing to a new form of liberalism; Crowned Liberalism.

Previously, the Love Party embraced the rhetoric of don't shake the boat and was pretty neutral to monarchism. Now however? The Love Party has chosen to embrace monarchism, looking to strengthen monarchism in Nadiya and strengthen ties with monarchies in Keris. It can be expected that the Love Party will make monarchism a consistent issue in future elections. The argument is that monarchism can further tie all of Nadiya together and strengthen the bonds within the Confederation.

Economically, Crowned Liberalism has taken an almost romantic approach, arguing that while the socialized economy has been vital, and should be preserved largely, a thriving private market is and should be created. The argument goes that private enterprise and consumer choice can enrich cultural diversity in the Confederation, alongside innovation and economic development. And their economic views tie with their social views of maximum personal choice and liberty. Arguing that collectivism, while having its merits, is something Nadiya must avoid. Crowned Liberalism argues that every Nadiyan should be able to start their own business and thrive, for personal fulfillment, entrepreneurship or anything else. Regulations should serve as guardrails, not chains for Nadiya.

In terms of foreign affairs, Crowned Liberalism (and subsequently the rest of the Love Party) have called for increased ties with Keris and especially with Kerisian monarchies, looking to promote a globalist yet sovereign and proud Nadiya. Promoting the ideals of having Nadiyan markets more open to the world, or at least to Keris and arguing for a Nadiya that economically engages with all of the world, Crowned Liberalism is looking to highlight how the Private Market and the Private Sector could thrive in Nadiya's economy.

While it remains to be seen if there will be approval for Crowned Liberalism, it's also too early as elections were just two years ago. This can be a total flop, or it could lead to the Love Party making major gains. It's finally looking to build an identity beyond "don't rock the boat". Whether it'll be able to manage a commitment to the private market and keeping Nadiyan realities in check is anyone's guess. But that'll require winning elections enough to govern. Or at least being able to enact reforms in a coalition government. Whatever the case, the Love Party is looking to make it's moves.

Major increase of funding to welfare and confederal agencies as constituent republics see their loans double for the 63 budget, Tsarina Powers Act debated in the NGA: time to enjoy the spoils

Zarvospol, Kozakia. The NGA debated today the proposed bill for the 5663 budget following the recent reports from central bank governor Evelina Maximovna in which she finally authorized the government to have a deficit for the upcoming decades, the question of the austerity measures was the main focal point during the 5660 electoral season in which the opposition promised to bring back welfare and end austerity whereas the rulling coalition promised to bring back welfare if the 5661 economic report stated that debt had fallen bellow the 40% threshold. The budget for the 5663 sees Nadiya enter into a deficit as welfare and social spending had their budget rise by 300% in order to help prop up the welfare system again and cover for the damages caused by the austerity measures but also fund the multiple social projects launched by the government such as project Polaris and the future metros in Zarvospol and Petrograd, on top of increasing pensions and wages to help increase the purchasing power of the average Nadiyan. The drafted law was met warmly in the NGA and CoN with the opposition leaders describing the budget as a "necessary and fundamental proof that Nadiya is bound to be prosperous in the years to come even tho we had to tighten our belt for the past 7 years". Furthermore, because of the excellent remarks from the NCB, the gouvernement has also doubled the number of loans, checks, and stimuluses granted to the constituent republics in order to help them finance their own local projects that meet the needs of their population while respecting the socialized economic model imposed by the constitution. Finally, the representatives of the PTAN put forward a bill known as the Tsarina Powers Act that would see the Tsarina gain a permanent seat within the presidential council this in turn would give the monarch some executive powers as she can vote on laws, approve of cabinet ministers, and take part in presidential meetings all while remaining Tsarina. However this comes in opposition to the constitutional clause that prohibits the sitting monarch to hold any executive position, furthermore, a recent poll conducted by Vemest shows that 80% of Nadiyans want a strictly ceremonial monarchy with no political powers whatsoever. Now the law is being debated in the NGA and will most likely remain in a limbo between the NGA and CoN unless the CoJ intervenes to settle the score.

Modernizing Vrosnoki oil; Investments and modernizations.

For the Vrosnoki economy, there are two major defining industries. The first is IT. Developed a decade ago, the IT sector was created as an alternative to oil, and to take advantage of Vrosnoki climate and environment. The second industry is oil. While the IT industry is robust and modernized, the Vrosnoki oil industry is less so. While Vrosnok is one of the oil hearts of Nadiya, it isn't exactly the best. While NadComp (Nadiyan Petroleum Company) dominates all oil production at a Confederal level, you wouldn't be surprised to hear that it's better to drill for oil elsewhere. Who would want to drill in a frozen nation where the northern part of it never sees sunshine for months, where temperatures dip into the negatives and the industry in said nation is subpar. You're better off going to Brakav. That is why the Lojka Administration is looking to change this and modernized Vrosnoki oil to make it worthy of respect.

For starters, drilling. You can't shove a pipe in a hole and hope for the best. That is why modernizing drilling methods is vital. You mess it up, you have an environmental disaster waiting to happen and the last thing anyone wants is another disaster, especially so soon after the Syarokhna Incident. As such, drilling methods will be modernized. Particularly extraction. Real time monitoring will be invaluable to ensure no oil spills or accident occur. Furthermore, leak detection and radars such as infrared cameras and fixed methane sensors can be used to ensure leak detection is modernized. The Ministry of Energy will work directly with NadComp and other drillers to ensure these modernizations are applied adequately and smoothly.

Next, actual products. Sure, oil is good for fuel and such but it has other uses. Besides being an environmentalists worst nightmare, it has value in petrochemicals and other sub industries. A diverse economy is a healthy one. And a diverse sector is even better. Refineries will be created for further usage of oil, such as refining basic petrochemicals (such as an almost endless list of boring chemicals that we can't be bothered to name but legally have to), such as ethylene, propylene, and BTX. Besides giving scientists more chemicals to play with, there can also be considerably investments into domestic production of goods such as fertilizer (which can mostly benefit being exported to other republics in the Confederation), plastics, synthetic lubricants, industrial solvents and even speciality polymers for cold usage, which will certainly benefit republics such as Vrosnok and Lesnov. To encourage these refineries and such to be developed, private firms and companies will be offered a generous deal. Tax credits, staff training subsidies and even expedited permits. 

To ensure that corporate abuse isn't wiggled in (even within the Confederal Economy), the National Assembly quickly passed the Labour Standards and Safety Act, which mandates worker protections in all industries and mandates proper standards. Mandatory health inspections, the right to unionize, overtime limits, maximum fatigue shifts, mandatory rest periods, and occupational health screening and guarantees, plus even the creation of a safety fund for workers in the event of accidents or illness. Alongside this, encouragements for the private market to support local developments one exchange for more freedom, such as funding the construction of hospitals, clinics, housing, etc etc in their local communities.

These modernizations to the oil industry won't magically make the oil industry make trillions and trillions but it'll put Vrosnok in the right direction to becoming a respectable state, both in the Confederation, and Keris as an oil producer. Plus jobs! Jobs jobs jobs! Everyone loves good paying high quality jobs!

TPA shot down by the CoJ and vetoed by the Council in a historic vote, president Putilova denounces a "clear intent to bring back the Tsardom": the chimera strangles itself

Zarvospol, Kozakia. In a shocking turn of event never seen before in the history of Nadiya, both the Chamber of Justice and the Presidential Council have decided to strike down and abort the currently discussed Tsarina Powers Act. The proposed law has been in a state of legislative limbo as it was thrown back and forth between the General Assembly and the Chamber of Nations and the joint mixed committee composed of representatives from the two houses still didn't manage to come with an agreed upon law, this repeated throw back between the two houses of the Nadiyan legislature has at first forced the Chambers of Justice to step in to issue a final verdict on the fate of the law. When the TPA was brought Infront of the Justices, it was immediately voted out with the Hosian Matriarchists, Matriarchists, and Communists forming a united front against the law which secured them a supermajority to officially kill off the law not only that but the representatives of the Love party, who had recently changed their party politics to "Crowned liberalism" has rebelled and joined the Matriarchists in voting down the law. Furthermore, to seal the deal, the presidential council unanimously agreed to veto the law at the same time as the CoJ aborting it, this shocked political analysts as it meant that even the leader of the Love party, who was elected into the council by the NGA because of her party being one of the 5 biggest political blocks, had also rebelled against the party's line to bring down the bill. Furthermore, president Putilova released a statement on social media in which she denounced the bill as a "clear attempt to bring back the Tsardom" and that the presidential council will "do everything it can to preserve the checks imposed on the Tsarina by the constitution".

Liberal Movement of Kozakia, commonly known as the Liberals, have won a decisive plurality in the Kozaki national legislature, Rada. Coming first, with 35% of the popular vote and 87 seats total, led by the current Prime Minister Yaryna Livytska, liberals secured themselves a safe position in leading the next government. Incumbent governing coalition of Liberals, People's Freedom Party and the Platform of Self-Government Activists increased its majority by 15 seats, with the first two parties being enough for a 1-seat majority coalition. Now, the decision is up to the Liberals to choose their next partner, or partners.

"Kozaki have shown that our nation's future is yellow and blue. Our nation's future is liberal because liberalism is all about freedom. And Kozaki are the free people, expressing their free will, in a free election, of a free and democratic republic", said Premier Livytska. "We cannot be more thankful for the trust that you gave us in this election. As the leader of this great party, and your current and next head of the government, I solemnly swear that we will not disappoint you".

The morning after the election, the Republican Electoral Commission (RVK) released the full results of the election, confirming the exit polls conducted by the national private and public media showing a slight majority for a right-wing LRK-PNS coalition, and a stable majority for the LRK-PNS-PSV centre-right coalition. Nationalist conservative National Front showed a slight growth in their vote share, but did not win any additional seats. At the same time, on the left-of-centre side of the aisle, the Democratic Peasant Union more than a fifth of its representation, to both the incumbent coalition and the Social Democratic Alliance, with the latter winning 21 seats, the party's best result recently.



Among the pressing issues of the electoral campaign were the economy, unemployment, infrastructure, healthcare and men's rights. LNR and PNR have both been promoting the idea to uphold the current status quo and continue the policies of the Livytska government, advocating for privatisation, economic growth over equality, as well as keeping welfare at the levels they are as of this year. While PSV, SDO and DSS pushed for bigger welfare spending, including incentives to regions and farmers, with SDO talking about a more socialised healthcare system, stronger regulations of workplaces, as well as the liberalisation of the matriarchist restrictions on male participation in political life.

President Putilova promises to support constituent republics even further during an interview, she discusses politics, foreign policy, and personal life with Vmeste: even Nadiya's nun president has a heart

The presidential palace gracefully opened its doors for Vmeste following our request to interview with the current head of the presidential council Putilova Terezilya following the historic decision to veto the Tsarina Powers Act but also to get to known her better as she was relatively unknown before becoming president. The following segment will be solely dedicated to interview between Perekhvatkina Izabella, our journalist, and Putilova.

Izabella: Madame president, you've made quite the number of headlines recently especially on social media where you openly denounced the Tsarina Powers Act, a law that divided the general assembly and the chamber of nations. So what really pushed you to vote in favor of a veto?

Putilova: You know Izabella, that decision wasn't easy for me to make. The presidential council itself was observing the developments of the bill very closely especially since the joint mixed committee of the assembly and chamber failed to make a satisfying bill for both houses to pass. So I decided that enough was enough and placed the veto motion because it was my duty as head of the council that the clearly state constitutional guardrails banning any kind of executive power to the Tsarina would be maintained. And honestly even if the law passed, the supreme court would've struck it down because it clearly violated the constitution.

Izabella: You were relatively unknown in the Nadiyan political arena before your bid to the presidency, so tell me what pushed you to abandon your post of mayor in a rural Brakavan city for the presidency?

Putilova: You see before I became president I used to work I held the office of mayor in Brakav, which you just mentioned, but I also used to work for the Vrosnoki ministry of equality but before that I was in Radin working for their ministry of social harmony so I gained quite a lot of experience in leadership and the managing of a country. On top of that, I was the matriarch of the Blessed Matrimony church in Brakav and because of the constitution's vague relation between the state and church I was able to juggle being a matriarch and my political life. Also, the main reason I decided to run for president was the recent spreading of degeneracy that is the dismantling of Matriarchist laws across Nadiya because men apparently want to be treated as equals again after they oppressed us for thousands of years.

Izabella: Seeing that there is only 6 years left until the third confederal elections and the election of a potential new head of the council, do you plan on running for election or will this be your only term?

Putilova: That's a really interesting and trick question you got there, but honestly I haven't thought a lot about the third confederal elections. I mean we still have 6 left and a lot can happen during that time frame, the second and first Nadiyan wars when combined only lasted 7 years which isn't a lot by international standards. Anyways, where was I, oh yeah the reelection question. Personally, I'm kind of want to seek another term but only after consulting with my colleagues in the Hosian Matriarchist Democratic Party because of I was to lose or win the 5670 election, it would have massive repercussions on Nadiyan politics. My fellow council member Mariya Ulva from Haivan is serving her second term and she told that she'll seek a third term before retirement, she extremely wise and knows how to advocate for both Haivan and the people of Nadiya in the council. So yeah, reelection is on the table but I can't give a clear answer yet.

Izabella:  The international theater in Terra has been traversing a rough path especially with the recent Rildhanor war, the militarization of Vascania, and the popularization of despotism. So what's Nadiya stance on those issues? And what do you have in mind?

Putilova: That's a pretty tough subject that can't be answered in a simple interview, however I'll make sure to answer the question truthfully. Firstly when it comes to the Rildhanor question, Nadiya had already recognized the Meriath government as its own political entity the moment it was clear their fight with the mainland government was about the struggle for democracy so on that side we already got it handled. Secondly, I'm quite saddened by the rise in power and popularization of despotic to absolutist movements across Terra, the Nadiyan confederation was founded on the principles of democracy, freedom, and unity as we have the World Congress charter of human rights enshrined within our constitution in order to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past and help build a better future for everyone. I would like to add that every member in the council is dedicated to making sure that no despotic attempts will be taken because it is our duty to preserve our status as the freest country in Terra with the intangible right to decide the future of our nation through our citizens' will. It's also because nations need fresh ideas and people in power with a safeguarded cycle of peaceful transitions so no one can remain in charge longer than 20 years.

Izabella: You got pretty good stances, huh? I have one final question so we can wrap this up and our live viewers will get an answer burning on their lips. The constituent republics have all recently launched pretty major economic plans and reforms with the NCB supplying the loans because of Nadiya's excellent debt score, does the council have any plans to support the republics even further?

Putilova: The presidential council has plans to support the constituent republics even further in cooperation with the government of Konstantinova and the governor of the central bank under Maximovna, the current goal is to lower unemployment even further with by expanding and imposing the fundamental right to work through the comission of Labour and workers rights because our constitution mandates us to do under the socialized economic model since our system requires a harmony of both the free market and socialist planning, it does require our republics to put more work onto their economic policies. As such, the council calls for the leaders of the republic to always come to us when needed because the central bank is more than willing to offer them interest free loans and even wipe off their debt as long as the funds are used correctly and they successfully pass the monthly financial evaluation and inspections.

A look into the Party for the Vrosnoki Renaissance; The heart of Vrosnok politically.

The most dominant party in Vrosnok is PdAV (formerly stylized as VdAV thanks to an intern error), otherwise known as the Party for the Vrosnoki Renaissance (Партыя для Адраджэння Враснока). It's governed consistently so far and currently retains a supermajority in the National Assembly. But what exactly is it? Well, let's dive into it. It's unique form of liberalism, the factions within PdAV, and of course, what makes it unique.

For starters, how can we define PdAV? Well, it defines itself as a civic nationalist, socially liberal party in Vrosnok. But is it really? The short answer is, yes. Without a doubt. Nationalism defines the party, but not in a xenophobic or secessionist way. PdAV is strongly supportive of the Confederation, but it is also proudly nationalist. This is where civic nationalism comes in, and cultural nationalism. PdAV focuses less on superiority and more on what makes Vrosnok unique, championing the unique Krivian culture of Vrosnok. This nationalism translates well into policy as PdAV has consistently supported cultural programs and the like.

As for its unique form of liberalism, well as we said, it subscribes to a mix of social liberalism and national liberalism. And that is true. PdAV has shown itself to be more to the right of most republics in the Confederation economically (However this is debated by liberals in Kozacchyna), whilst still maintaining respect for the socialized economy. In Vrosnok, the state actively works hand in hand with the private sector, instead of kicking them out like in Lesnov or handing them the keys to governing like abroad. PdAV follows the belief that the state should act as a mediator between the people and businesses, not as a regulator or husk.

But what about factions? PdAV is largely unified, but it does have a few factions, which certainly help make it more unique.

For starters, the Centrysckaje Pravaslaŭje (Centrist Orthodoxy) wing of the party, consisting of centrists (such as the President) who value a balanced approach to liberalism and nationalism. The Centrist Orthodoxy primarily focus on not rocking the boat too much but still offering a vision.

Their alternative is the Humanisty (Humanists), occupying the left flank of the party. The Humanists advocate more for the social aspect of social liberalism, and often take a romantic approach to governing and politics. Idealistic and based on the ideals of Utopianism (both from the old Trigunia era and from Utopian party's seen at the Confederal level), the Humanists can easily trace their history back quite far.

To the right of both is the Novyja Idealisty (New Idealists), occupying the right of the party. Advocating for more economically liberal ideals, and a more stronger stance on civic nationalism, the New Idealists certainly define the right wing conversation in PdAV.

The final unofficial faction is tiny, fringe, but certainly worth mentioning. The Karanavanyja Sercy (Crowned Hearts), advocating for Crowned Liberalism (as espoused by the Love Party at the Confederal level). Fringe and tiny, they do make themselves unique.

PdAV continues to define Vrosnok, particularly with a special focus on Vrosnoki culture. While PdAV can't yet be called the natural ruling party of Vrosnok, many expect them to become that because of the weak opposition, and the Syarokhna Incident earlier this decade. But for now, they don't have to worry about the opposition. They just need to continue focusing on governing.

Zarvospol & Petrograd metros inaugurated with 5 lines each and more than 400km of network and 200 stations combined, topographic studies begin Volosgrad & Spask: Rush hour is gonna be hell

Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. The long awaited Zarvospol and Petrograd metros have finally been inaugurated by president Putilova during a grand ceremony held in front of the NGA building where one of the Zarvospol metro lines is located. Firstly the Zarvospol metro is 215 km long with 105 stations while the Petrograd Metro is 185km long with 95 stations, both metros have 5 lines with 2 more lines planned for each system in order to accommodate for the growing number of people moving to the 2 confederal capitals. The two metros just like the Rodashyam metro were integrated to the Utopian monorail system one of the legacies from the Utopianist era that consists of a series of monorails looping around the principle island composing the archipelago which helps addressing the issue of conjunctions during rush hours on the main highways of the island. Furthermore, due to the central government being responsible for the construction of the metros in every step of the way through the Nadiyan Commission for Rail, Air, and Water Ways, both of the Zarvospol and Petrograd Metro companies will be owned by the central government and their operation directed by the NCRAWW; this decision was met with some opposition from advocates of republican rights which denounce an overreach of power from the government even though the Rodashyam metro and the Utopian monorail have always been operated and owned by the central government due to them falling under one of the "necessities" of the socialized economy. In addition, President Putilova has announced that topographic studies will begin in Spask and Volosgrad in order to build two new metros and possibly a monorail system for the Kirikan island just like the current Utopian monorail connecting Kozacchyna, Radin, and Haivan.
