Constitutional ban on an offensive army lifted by the Convention as the government announces military modernization and expansion plan, military commands unified in Petrograd: loading the barrels

Zoetergraaf, Brakav. In an expected turn of events, the constitutional convention has agreed to lift the constitutional ban on the Confederation operating an offensive army rather than a defensive one. The move comes after constitutionalists from the crimson-magenta alliance agreed that Nadiya is in desperate need of a stronger army capable of defending the isles and launching offensives if necessary alongside urging the government to begin modernizing the army, after that the convention voted 135 in favor of the amendment that also served as a direct constitutional law authorized by article 84.5 of the constitution. Shortly after the motion was passed and enacted, the Nadiyan Commission for Defense was renamed the Nadiyan Commission for Military Administration and Modernization, with the thaller government pushing forward a bill in the NGA that would drastically increase the budget of the armed forces to rearm them as quickly as possible. Named the Protecting Nadiya Today, Tomorrow, and Forever Act, the bill proposed by the HMDP would see the official creation of a Nadiyan intelligence agency called the Commission for the Preservation of Nadiyan Pride, the agency will be under direct management of the NCMAM with the supervision of the presidential council, not only that, but the army will begin implementing Project Icarus an ambitious 30 billion NRB plan to revamp the old Trigunian designs still gathered within the national archives of Nadiya and begin the production of high end weapons, munitions, and units that can meet the demands of the new age in military warfare alongside a facelift of the generals through the retirement of older ones and replacing them with their younger colleagues to bring in fresher strategies and military policies. When the law was discussed in front of the NGA, Liliana Thaller defended it by citing the recent fiasco with Egelion and the coup in Kizenia and New Endralon as another justification for the confederation's rearmament in the wake of regional instability and betrayal of trust. The justifications were accepted by members of the NGA even tho there were some protests from within the FJIP because of the party's pacifist stance, but due to the current confidence and supply agreement with the HMDP, they fell back in line and secured a majority in the NGA and supermajorities in CoN and CoJ with the presidential council unanimously signing the bill. Immediately after the law was signed and enacted, the different generals in charge of the armies of the constituent republics were summoned to Petrograd for the unification of the command line between the NCMAM and the republics, the armed forces of the republics were effectively transferred to the central government, and a brand-new military hierarchy was established to ensure clear and direct communication lines between the central government, its armed forces and the new intelligence agency. Nadiya gears up toward full rearmament but how will this affect Keris and especially its relations with other powers is yet to be determined, but one thing is sure, King Artemo's move has started a domino effect.

Nadiya praises the Shar-Maevri conference as a sign of international harmony but condemns the coup in NEK., Markets react positively to the conference:gotta love the money

Petrograd, Kozacchyna. While the rest of Terra is either denouncing or being shy about the Shar-Maevri conference held between Xsampa and the triads, Nadiya stands out in its approach as the spokesperson for the NCIHFA., Tanya Fetisova, stated, "The Nadiyan Confederation is more than overjoyed to hear about the successful outcome of the Shar-Maevri conference, this highlights what our diplomatic body strives for and that is harmony among all nations through peaceful and reciprocated terms that help make this planet a haven of peace and stability the likes of which never happened since the end of the Lourennais era. The fact that two nations with radically opposing ideals and systems managed to bury the hatchet of war in favor of cooperation and treaty ratification shows that both the Triads and Xsampa are more than capable and willing to uphold international peace and stability in the wake of factionalism and destabilizing events happening all across the world. In addition to this conference, Chief Executive Thaller held extremely fruitful talks in her conversation with her Xsampa counterpart with both of them agreeing on a deepening of trade relations between Nadiyan and Xsampa that will benefit mutually our nations and push even higher the prosperity and living standards of our citizens." When asked about Nadiya's opinion on the recent coup in NEK, she replied with, "Even tho we believe that every nation has sovereignty when it comes to deciding the path for their nation, it still needs to go through democratic fair and free mechanisms that guarantee the freedom of everyone within their lands but if the citizens do love living under a monarchy, we couldn't give less of a fuck." Furthermore, Nadiyan markets and especially the Zarvospol Stock Exchange reacted positively to the outcome of the Shar-Maevri conference given how Nadiya's trade sector is guaranteed to benefit for an increased access to southern Dovani whereas other stock exchanges either dipped or wiggled compared to the ones in Amudin and the triads.

Ratification of the Fraternal Economic Accord with Xsampa as Nadiya diversifies its trade partners, Renarde establishes itself in the Isles: A new age of cooperation

Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. The NGA has recently approved the ratification of the Fraternal Economic Accord, a fair trade deal recently established between Nadiya and Xsampa. Even tho Xsampa historically had relations with the Lesnovian SSR, officially the Nadiyan Confederation and Democratic Republic of Xsampa didn't have any official diplomatic or economic relations linking the two countries together other than a somewhat irrelevant pact through Lesnov but things have changed as a delegation from Xsampa met with members of the presidential council alongside a meeting with the governor of the NCB and head of the Commission for Humane and Fair Development with both sides agreeing to a mutually beneficial trade deal mainly consisting of Nadiya buying Xsampan goods in exchange of supplying them with aluminium for the EV industry in addition to the establishing of official diplomatic relations between the two countries and the establishing of an office for Nadiyan-Xsampan relations within the Nadiyan Commission for International Harmony and Foreign Affairs. This comes after Nadiya was one of the two countries that praised the Shar-Maevri conference instead of denouncing or rejecting it, and the fallout that occurred between Xsampa and some of its historical "friends" also pushed both nations toward seeking alternatives to their current situation. Finally, after the trade deal was finalized and voted in by the NGA, the renowned Kanjorian fashion company Renarde announced its establishment within the Isles as part of their venture into the Kerisian continent after they successfully established themselves on every major land mass in Terra, many are now excited at the prospect of Nadiya becoming the new gem hub as the deal with the DRX also included the purchase of both raw and polished gems for their selling by Nadiya.

Diplomatic channels broke down as NEK sees the shooting of a lesnovian fishing boat as justified, the NCF put on high alert as a declaration of war is discussed in the NGA: from friends to foes


Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. To the surprise of everyone, the military junta in Kizenia and New Endralon ruthlessly sank a civilian fishing boat under the flag of the Lesnovian SSR and tried justifying the incident by claiming that the vessel was actually a military one. Shortly after the news came from NEK's state media, the presidential council summoned the ambassador of NEK in Nadiya for an explanation but the ambassador refused to attend the meeting and even fled back to his country with the rest of his staff, this forced the presidential council to issue a statement officially ending diplomatic and economic relations with NEK alongside the implementation of severe sanctions against its officials through the freezing of their assets and seizure of NEK operated ventures in the confederacy. In its statement, the council justified the collapse of diplomatic channels with the following, "Even tho the murder of Nadiyan citizens was unjustified and illegal, we still wanted to try and find a peaceful way to handle the incident that happened in the Pass of Deliverance. However, the officials in NEK, instead of agreeing to talk, proceeded to call back their ambassador, kick ours out, cut the telephone lines between our two heads of state, and even began shooting at Nadiyan vessels that weren't even close to their territorial waters. This shows that the Junta did not, and will not, ever want peace between our two nations. These conditions have forced us to begin the process of a war declaration against NEK, and we urge the Parliamentarians in the NGA to make the process as quick as possible." Following that, the Nadiyan Confederated Forces have been put on high alert with the navy being deployed in the Pass of Deliverance with clashes already happening between Nadiyan and NEK forces while the NGA has begun examining the NEK Response and De-Fascistification Act with the parliamentary ministry of defense unanimously judging it as receivable, now it'll be a matter of hours if not a few days until Nadiya finds itself officially at war with NEK.

Nadiya declares war against NEK to "Liberate and democratize" as the Air Force begins a bombardment campaign on major cities, martial law is declared: the thunder of war roars again

Petrograd, Kozacchyna. Today, the unthinkable happened in Nadiya. In a televised broadcast, the Commission for Military Administration and Modernization, through its commissioner, Yuliya Vyacheslavivna, has officially declared war against Kizenia and New Endralon. The NGA alongside the other 2 houses of Parliament were summoned for an extraordinary session in which they voted on the NEK De-Fascistification and Democratization Act, the law would give the green light to the government and presidential council to declare martial law, form a militaro-civilian emergency administration, suspend the constitution as allowed in its 43.9 article, and launch an all out invasion against NEK. The three houses unanimously voted in favor of the bill and as the gavel of the speakers all hit at the same time, Yuliya spoke to the nation, 

Dear citizens of Nadiya both living within our lands and abroad, 
Our nation is traversing unprecedented times as the nation of Kizenia and New Endralon who we thought were our friends and regional partners have betrayed our trust in the most vile possible way by murdering innocent Nadiyan citizens then priding themselves on the killing of innocent people through propaganda claiming that the civilian fishing boat, whose owners mistakenly wandered into Kizenian waters just to catch some more fish were savagely gunned down and their corpses paraded on state news. Even tho Nadiya sincerely believes in every nation's right to determine their own future through orthodox or unique ways, we will never justify or excuse the killing of civilians, especially those from our confederacy. These circumstances have forced us to take the most radical decision taken in the history of our confederation. After long talks with the respected members of the presidential council, presidents of the constituent republics, justices of the supreme cooperative court, and presidents of the three chambers of Parliament alongside a debriefing from the newly founded Commission for the Preservation of Nadiyan Pride and our military staff, we officially declared war against News Endralon and Kizenia and announce the suspending of the constitution and delay of the fourth confederal elections until the end of the war. Our goal for NEK is simple and clear, an overthrow of the fascist junta and re-establishment of the country's democratic institutions. I know that I am asking a lot of you, dear citizens of Nadiya, but these are unprecedented times that call for unprecedented measures. I trust that every citizen who contributes to the war effort, whether through direct deployment to the Frontline or by helping our nation through aid and community, will be supported. Everyone's work will be appreciated and we assure you that you will be rewarded properly once the dust settles and our glorious confederation rises from the ashes once more. We defeated the fascist despots of Trigunia once, we can beat the life out of the ones in NEK

Shortly after the announcement, Nadiyan bombers penetrated Kizenian airspace and launched a bombing campaign on major coastal cities while the Navy was busy responding to the ongoing marine battles happening in the sea of deliverance as infantry forces are preparing for a ground invasion of NEK once the water bridge between freezes over and hardens enough to allow for armored vehicles to cross the channel.

Inhabitants of southern Kozacchyna are forced to flee as NEK missiles hit the mainland, the military begins rationing food, and sets escape routes: war is hell

Myrivopol, Kozacchyna. It has been a month since Nadiya officially declared war on NEK and the two nations clashed militarily. Yet, the citizens of southern Kozacchyna already have their lives thrown upside down as the military has issued warnings about missile strikes in the southern tip of the republic alongside ordering the population to begin mass evacuating to the north. Already, ports and airports have been forced to shut down, while the train stations of Nadyrail are overflowing with refugees desperately seeking to get on the quickest train toward Zarvospol or Rodashyam. Meanwhile, others have begun enlisting in the military and the Nadiyan Red Cross to assist with the evacuations and military effort. In addition, the military has announced that it will begin rationing food and mobilize factories and docks to produce munitions and repair damaged frigates from the baffled with the Kizenian navy alongside establishing a humanitarian corridor dedicated to helping citizens flee the war zone while promising to produce anti-aircraft as quickly as humanly possible and vowed to "rain hell on the fascist junta in NEK and their allies." Even though an armed rebellion was reported in northern NEK, the military has denied any involvement with them and clarified that they aren't the ones supplying or encouraging them to revolt but their efforts to end the junta in NEK are more than appreciated by the confederation. Finally, some MPs and senators call for the confederation to occupy and annex land from NEK as a way to "punish the fascists for their arrogance and to ensure that autocrats and Nazis don't flourish on Keris" but for now they're only a very loud minority, who knows if Nadiya does end up annexing parts of NEK in a future peace treaty, if it manages to defeat NEK that is.

Start of Operation Shooting Star as Nadiyan forces launch a land invasion of northern NEK, NGA prepares for the establishment of an occupation zone: the Arctic continent set ablaze

Petrograd, Kozacchyna. It had been only 2 hours since the Egelian declaration of war against Kizenia and New Endralon was finalized, yet the Nadiyan military officially launched its invasion of NEK. Nicknamed Operation Shooting Star, it was created by the NCF in coordination with the CPNP after multiple successful cyber attacks and infiltrations within the Kizenian military, the military operation mainly consists of a land invasion into northern NEK through the now frozen Deliverance passage alongside an amphibious invasion of the south with the help of the Egelian navy. President Putilova, whose term was extended because of the suspension of the constitution, addressed the nation in the middle of the night while sources from NEK have reported Nadiyan tanks, armored vehicles, and soldiers crossing the channel and taking over land with seemingly no resistance because of the ongoing mutiny in the north and the promises of the Nadiyan forces to restore democratic with local governors being elected by recently created regional assemblies. While Kalistan vowed that it wouldn't touch the administration of the newly captured cities in the north, Nadiya instead helped the newly liberated cities to establish local democratic governments tasked with implementing the socialized economic model and equal representation between the ethnicities composing the lands while representatives from Zarvospol were sent to teach the citizens of the newly occupied lands about their rights as citizens under Nadiyan jurisdiction and the principles of the democratic system in the isles. Furthermore, the NGA has approved a bill put forward by MPs of the PCP formally establishing the Nadiyan Democratization Zone of Kizenia and New Endralon which grants the citizens living in the zone the full rights and privileges mentioned in the constitution alongside the right to immediately establish political parties to partake in the planned local elections and help administer the zone. In addition to the creation of the zone, the motion also created official humanitarian corridors and the NEK Reconstruction and Reparations Fund to rebuild giving reparations to the families that were affected by the war. Finally, the Nadiyan Confederated Forces have formalized their alliance with the Freedom and Independence Army by promising to install a free and fair political system under the Nadiyan occupation zone.

Ivan Macek is elected governor of the Zone as Nadiya liberates Tuneculme and Endraváros. The FIA agrees to help secure the newly liberated lands: an occupation with a silk glove and flowers?

Endraváros, Kizenia, and New Endralon Occupation Zone. Today marked a historic development in the ongoing war between Nadiya and NEK as the NCF, with their FIA allies, managed to successfully capture and liberate two important cities, namely Tuneculme and Endraváros, with the latter being NEK's northern trade hub. Shortly after the last remaining forces of the junta retreated from those cities, the members of the different newly established councils were convened in Endraváros where they held a vote to elect Ivan Macek, former mayor of the city, as governor of the Democratization Zone of Northern Kizenia and New Endralon, with him securing 65% of the votes while his opponent Barta Fruzsina, a famous human rights activist who recently returned to NEK from her exile in Nadiya. Even tho both candidates promised two visions for the administration of the zone, with Ivan promising to run the zone as a democratic socialist republic. At the same time, hile Barta vowed to administer it as a Metzist liberal republic, it was Ivan's vision that ultimately won during the leadership vote but Barta's program was the one that won during the economic vote which led to both candidates to agree to form a cohabitation government and deepen their cooperation with the Nadiyan government to ensure the transparent and fair implementation of the newly created NEK Reconstruction and Reparations Fund to begin rebuilding the newly liberated land and also prepare to hold celebrations for the upcoming winter solstice. With the administration now handled by a stable democratic native government, the Nadiyan government in cooperation with the one in Endraváros has begun a massive propaganda campaign through the creation of the Free NEK Network composed of a radio and TV channel specialized in hijacking the Junta's signal and calling citizens to revolt and join the FIA alongside Nadiyan planes dropping leaflets over major cities yet under Nadiya control giving them links to the website of the FNEKN and ways to call the newly created green number 2659 to be informed of all developments in the Zone with warnings of any imminent NEK missile strike or military advance, the phone line also acts as a direct line of communication between families separated because of the war, and since the line is free of charge, relatives are encouraged to use it to safely communicate with members of their family without worrying about phone call fees or field coverage since those are handled and paid for by the Nadiyan government. Finally, the newly elected zone governor met with representatives of the FIA to address security questions, and they both agreed that a joint Nadiyan-FIA security force will be established to secure the newly liberated lands while a parallel native police force will continue acting as paw enforcement according to Nadiyan transparency regulations and the local derivatives decided by local councils. Even tho Nadiya's approach of combining democracy and civilian rule with the affairs of the zone is unheard of in the history of military warfare, it still yielded impressive results with a seemingly friendly population who see the Nadiyans as liberators and bringers of change instead of occupiers when compared to life under the Junta or non-Nadiyan occupation zone in the south.

Barta Fruzsina announces the start of the National Rejuvenation plan, promising to end homelessness and poverty. The FIA and NCF continue to successfully liberate more land: an economy for workers?

Endraváros, NEK, Nadiyan Zone. As celebrations for the winter solstice are in full swing, Barta Fruzsina and Ivan Macek addressed the citizens of the zone in a televised speech announcing the start of the National Rejuvenation Plan, also known as the Fruzina Plan. The economic plan, mainly designed by Barta, involves the intensive restoration and construction of infrastructure consisting of roads, train tracks, and housing alongside the launch of a government-sponsored benefits and aid program aimed at redistributing wealth and increasing the wages of workers within the zone. The plan notably includes the implementation of affirmative action for the Kizenian, Endralonian, and Kuzakis citizens of the zone through the local councils who will be responsible for reporting on the developments of the projects and informing the government of the infrastructure required at the local level. Already, the newly established Országgyűlés has adopted a motion to decentralize the plan with the cooperation of worker syndicates and the local councils, the assembly also approved a scheme that would allow for Nadiya to directly donate money to the project even tho the zone already receives a decent amount of funds from the Nadiyan government which repeatedly affirmed that the Nadiyan zone and its administration is left to the local population be it if they elect parties warm to Zarvospol or ones that absolutely despise them since the officials in Petrograd believe it is best to left the citizens of NEK handle matters effecting them and not officials from Nadiya. Furthermore, Barta promised, "Ivan and I are working tirelessly to end poverty and the economic exploitation caused by the capitalist system because it was because of it that the northern regions were neglected by the junta because they weren't 'economically viable', but hear me when I say this. Every citizen on these lands will have a room over his head and a warm meal in front of him with a stable dignified job. I believe in the cause of the proletariat and the necessity of a Metzist model for the reconstruction of our lands and not leaving them to the whims of the market because it will only bring more misery to our people and just help recreate the conditions that placed the junta in power. Even tho I have some opposing opinions with Ivan, we both are willing to push aside our differences and cooperate for a better Kizenia and New Endralon because this is what democracy is about, compromises and cooperation, and not the rule of a despot imposing themselves on others with the made-up beliefs that they are superior to them." Meanwhile, the Nadiyan Confederated Forces and the Freedom and Independence Army have successfully captured Stealumi, Catatea Albă, and the northern district of Portul Occidental in a successful push against the forces of the junta as they found themselves by surprise due to citizens rebelling and soldiers defecting to FIA after hearing the broadcasts of the Free NEK Network and learning about the developments in the Nadiyan zone with many yearning for the life they used to have in a free country without despots to tell them what to do. For now, it seems that the alliance between Nadiya and FIA has been extremely fruitful with many analysts expecting Nadiya to take Trei Râuri by January and the full liberation of Portul Occidental by the new year while the Navy is preparing for an invasion of the southeast that's expected to heavily weaken the junta.

Nadiya announces the end of the military offensive as the NCD & FIA liberate 2/3 of NEK, Barta and Ivan announce the seizure of factories and establishment of worker councils: cornering the feral beast

Endraváros, NEK Democratization Zone.  It seems that the tide of war has been heavily favoring Nadiya and its allies in the FIA. Recently, the NCMAM announced the successful landing of Nadiyan troops on the south-western coastline of NEK, with the help of the Egelian navy shelling enemy troops. Forces of the NCF debarked on the shores of NEK once again, while they keep advancing toward the Junta's capital, Portesi. Shortly after the landing was made public, the air force launched another bombing campaign against the military installations of NEK alongside sharing leaflets that updated the citizens about the developments at the Frontline. In addition to the victory in the south, the FIA and NCF managed to liberate the two strategic cities of Palagheață and Trei Râuri before immediately connecting them with the humanitarian corridors set up by the Nadiyan government in cooperation with the local administration in Endraváros. Then, without stopping their momentum, the NCF and FIA took Nepolesti and Säteni before reaching the gates of Artareni, bringing the newly conquered land under the administration of the Democratization Zone. Shortly after those major pushes, the Nadiyan Commission for Military Administration and Modernization announced the end of operation Shooting Star alongside the suspension of all military advances with the construction of trenches to safeguard the Frontline, this announcement shocked many within Nadiya and the occupation zone because many wanted Nadiya to keep pushing and March on Portesi, but the commission defended itself citing the strained state of the Nadiyan economy due to oil production being redirected to support the war effort while the industrial sector was mobilized to help supply the soldiers directly on NEK, this effectively means that any more conquests would lead to the Nadiyan supply lines either being stained or collapsing from the pressure and both outcomes would be catastrophic for both Nadiya and the government in Endraváros. As such, Chief of Government Barta  Fruzsina, has announced a series of measures aimed at helping rebuild NEK through the seizure of abandoned factories and farms alongside the establishment of proletarian worker councils that will both own and operate the farms and factories according to their needs in cooperation with the government and other worker syndicates, this measure was praised by Nadiyan communists as yet another proof of the success of Metzism and the proletarian cause. For now, Nadiyan troops stand vigilant as the Frontline while the government in Endraváros rebuilds the zone and Egelian forces march toward Portesi
