Respectfully, as Egelion has reiterated the terms they came into the discussion with, which we understood the first time they publicized them in the paper, and are representing those terms as a fait accompli which we all must simply accept, we will do the same thing and reiterate the terms we came into this conference with:

Kalistan will depart the country and will hand the territory we currently provide security for to a properly constituted Kizenian Government which is sovereign and independent.

This takes the issue of Zyldavia off the table, as from Kalistan's perspective, that appears to be noncontroversial. And quite frankly, we feel this sets an excellent precedent for Kalistan's own pursuit of our historical claims. We consider this a gain for Kalistan as well, because we will always be able to point to the reintegration of Zyldavia back to Egelion in our own relations going forward.

It also takes the full and complete self-determination issue of Kizenia and New Endralon off the table. I don't think anyone here disputes that this is and should be the goal of this conference. But it also incurs a responsibility upon all of us to ensure that it is true self-determination, not one that is dictated by the interests of a rapidly expanding continental political system driven from Altea and relying on an eagerly-compliant Kizenian government.

It does however leave the issue of an Egelian guarantee of the Southern Coast on the table. That is certainly controversial. And it is an issue The Empire of Ananto and Kalistan cannot nor will not concede to. Currently that guarantee is in place under Kalistani arms--We don't need Egelion to guarantee something we currently guarantee ourselves. And it will remain so until that point is abandoned by Egelion.

It is not impossible for Egelion to see success in this conference and ensure that Kalistani security is part of that consideration. It is not an either or proposition. There is still overlapping interests here that all can agree upon. But the one thing Kalistan cannot negotiate over is security in the part of our globe which is washed by the Anantonese Ocean. We have a balance in the status quo ex ante. The recent proposal by the Royal Councilor unbalances that in point 3, as stated, and that language is the source of our objection.
