ROMULA - The Imperial House expands and rejoices by welcoming Grand Princess Michela, the fourth child of Grand Princess of the Crown Eleonora and her husband, Prince Marco, Duke of Capranica Saliana. The happy news was released this morning by Quattroregni Palace, which announced that mother and daughter are well and both enjoying excellent health. Little Michela thus joins an already large family, and her siblings Nicola (11), Giorgia (9) and Sofia (3) are eager to embrace her.

Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress were the first to join their daughter, grandparents eager to welcome their new granddaughter, already surrounded by her father and siblings. The Princess of the Crown's siblings and their families then arrived, crowding the hospital pavilion and giving photographers and journalists the opportunity to capture a large portion of the Court gathered for the occasion.

Beloved by the Istalians, united and cheerful, the hereditary couple, over the years, has earned the affection and respect of the population not only for the image they have projected of the imperial institution, but also for their profound commitment to social, cultural and philanthropic causes. The Household of the Grand Princess of the Crown has, over time, become a focal point for the country's public and charitable life. Eleonora and Marco have promoted numerous initiatives in support of art, culture, industry and national crafts, as well as humanitarian and social causes.

Several funds and foundations were established under their patronage: projects dedicated to medical research, the valorization of Istalia's historical and artistic heritage, assistance for women and children in need, and the promotion of the country's food and wine excellence. Emblematic of this was the Grand Carnival Ball held last fall at the Hunting Residence of Terracche Lakes, a sumptuous and grandiose event in 18th and 19th-century style, attended by nearly all of the country's gotha. It also served as a prestigious showcase for the excellence of Istalian fashion, art, cuisine and craftsmanship, including dresses, hats, and jewelry, as well as dance groups, bands and singers. And then, fireworks displays, decorations, and special effects, including lasers and holograms, and, of course, seasonal dishes inspired by the country's regions and territories, were also a hit. Among the most popular dishes was the "frappe", or "chiacchiere", and the "castagnole", delicious traditional Carnival pastries popular in many parts of the country.

The Emperor, first and foremost, supported and gave ample space to his daughter and her family, who were involved in numerous official Crown and State events throughout the country. Experts, observers and enthusiasts also noted a renewed image boost in the Imperial couple. The Crown increased solemnity and grandeur during ceremonies, with the Emperor often attired in elaborate vestments and mantles, conveying a proud, solemn, even sacred, image of the Institution.
Alongside him, to his wife, Empress Melissa, was given a particularly prominent role. Her popularity has never waned over the years, remaining one of the most beloved members of the Imperial House, thus renewing the image of a couple who, despite the years, remain united and close-knit.

But, according to most analysts and observers, the monarchical vision imprinted on his reign by Emperor Tommaso V has also contributed to shielding the Crown from the upheavals of recent years: an approach that has give a strong authority and a voice to the Crown, never reluctant to make itself heard, especially and tirelessly, in supporting the democratically chosen governments and defending national pride.

Has the storm of scandal overwhelmed and shaken the Crown? Yes, without a doubt. Has the Crown resisted? Has it withstood the blow? Once again, yes and without a doubt. The Crown has reacted, reinvigorated in its commitment not only on an institutional and political level, but also on a moral and social level, and in representing at its best and with due splendor the truest, most genuine, noble and upright values that have given lustre to the country.
