Foreign Secretary Davy Harper announced today that he would make a tour in both the Kingdom of Egelion and the Anantonese Empire. Mr. Harper stated, in "light of long and tenous negotiations" with Egelion, it was "his responsibilty" to meet Egelian officials to officially sign the trade agreement that both countries have been negotiating. And for Kalistan, he stated that it was "important to continue the work engaged by the Prime Minister in renewing dialogue between the Luthorian and Kalistani empires".
For the Foreign secretary, the most important aspect of his visit is the fufillment of months of careful.diplomatic negotiations between the Egelians and Luthorians, focused on deepening the trade relationship between the two nations, similar to what the Luthorians did in their previous agreement with Xsampa. According to the responsible minister, Luthori and Egelion will both commit at the joint increase of traded commodities in this agreement, helping to foster a climate of trust between the two nations to allow for the fruitful enforcement of said agreement and the continuation of cordial bilateral ties.
For the Anantonese Empire, the Foreign Secretary places himself in the succession of his predecessor's policy, maintaining the current policy of "detente" between Ananto and Luthori, this, in his view, passes by the sustained efforts by both government to keep the channels of diplomatic communication opened, either through their Ambassadors in each respective states or through numerous meetings between ministers.
Luthori's foreign minister is also to meet with Luthorian ambassadors in both Egelion and Kalistan during his visit, indicating his support for the Luthorian diplomatic service overseas.
It is currently unclear whether or not the Luthorian foreign minister will meet with King Leon Alexander or Empress-in-Waiting Carolina (more likely: Princess Regent Nicolette Ananto-Collins), as neither the Luthorian foreign office nor other ministries related of such a move in their respective press releases.
