Chokzay Trengwa prevails in the CPX Primaries; Don't rock the boat.

It would seem that the results of the CPX 5689 Primaries was a close race between Comrade Trengwa and Comrade Gorkha, but it seems ultimately, the CPX voter base was swayed by infrastructure reforms more than Tsokling reforms. As such, Chokzay Trengwa is set to become the CPX Nominee for Premier for the 5690 elections. Despite the close race, Comrade Gorkha has gone out of his way to give a very strong endorsement for Trengwa and has even campaigned for him, saying that while he would have loved to secured the nomination, he believes in Trengwa's vision for Xsampa. However, it doesn't mean Everyday Socialism goes to the shelf, as due to the close primary, Trengwa has claimed that he will look into expanding measures to combat the deficit, and especially expanding the bureaucracy. While not to the same extent as Gorkha, it's something.
Whatever the case, if elected (and most agree it's a strong possibility due to the current national mood), Trengwa would be an administration that doesn't rock the boat, and especially one that continues the S Aurousseau Administration in spirit. As CPX voters rally around infrastructure (particularly Internet modernization), the opposition is finding itself rather lackluster, with the GNP spending more time trying to convince it's voter base to not defect to the XIP, and the SLP running a relatively milquetoast campaign, and it's likely they'll be out of the Premiership for another 5 years (15 years if they lose 5690). While a supermajority is impossible for the CPX as the national mood for the Communist Party isn't that good, it's likely that the CPX will be able to form a strong coalition with arguably anyone.
Whatever the case, the 5690 elections will certainly be interesting. As the Sherab Aurousseau administration comes to an end, the big question for Sherab Aurousseau is, what's next? She's been in politics for quite some time now, being engaged since the 70s. 20 years is alot for someone. Especially in politics. So, it's likely that she'll retire or at the very least take an advisory role for the CPX.
