In the context of a growing commercial sector, speerheaded by the signature of numerous trade agreements with numerous nations such as Egelion, Kundrati, Xsampa or even Nadiya, which was recently recognised by the Luthorian government as the legitimate successor state of the Trigunian Empire, ending an 80-year long limbo in relations between the two entities. Luthorian trade naturally places its expectations high, as these trade deals lowered trade barriers for Luthorian exports, allowing a higher quantity of Luthorian goods to be exported.

The Trade secretary, John Keller, stated that the Trade department was "confident" that Luthorian trade volume would increase "by a substantial amount". For the government's main representative on trade, these trade agreements that his ministry negotiated and successfully signed were at the Luthorian workers' and industry's advantage, with him promoting the simplistic idea that, as trade between Luthori and other nations increase, so will the Luthorian people's wealth in the coming years.

The Department of International Trade confirmed the Secretary's words through a statement, issuing their previsions for the second quarter of 5690, as a result of the immediate effects of the Nadiyan-Luthorian Comprehensive Trade Agreement of 5688 and other similar trade agreements with Egelion. For the government ministry, as trade between Luthori and international partners increased by 0.7% during this quarter, they are realistically expecting another increase of 0.5 to 0.8% during the second trimester. 

According to the government, the main beneficiaries are the high tech industry and the automobile industry, with car manufacturers being the biggest winners out of anyone. Other sectors are expected to keep up as innovation restarts in these in order to make them more competitive.

The Foreign Secretary, Davy Harper, expressed "satisfaction" at these predictions and results of the government's open-minded foreign policy. Prime Minister Parker-Stanford, in power since 5679, when he successfully seized the Conservative leadership from former Prime Minister Joseph Brooke, and who is widely expected to resign either this year or next year as he stayed in office for the last 11 years, reacted to the positive economic and commercial outlook with a praise to his administration's dilligence at "ushering in a new era of prosperity for the Luthorian people".

Prime Minister Parker-Stanford, who led the right-wing coalition to victory in 5681, 5685 and 5688, becoming the first Prime Minister to secure three victories in a row, even massively expanding his majority in the Chamber of Representatives between 5685 and 5688, winning 250 seats out 434, representing a +33 majority, is now weakened politicially, with a Conservative backbench openly ushering whispers of resignation, subtly hinting at a possible leadership challenge against the aging head of government. 

As of now, with the popularity of the Prime Minister remaining at high levels, and with the Tories heavily favored to win the 5692 general election, albeit with some losses compared to their landslide victory two years ago, the Tory ministers within Mr. Parker-Stanford's government remain loyal, at least for now.

With trade increasing and global notation agencies highlighting Luthori's recent economic agreements, through the rise of the Luthorian Pound's index note from A+ to AA+, it would be safe to assume that the Luthorian economy will be growing in the next years.
