OVERVIEW: This painting depicts John Penn meeting the Beiyi of Quibashi during the Alorian Eastern Trade Company's dominion over Indrala. In 1794, Penn met the Beiyi of Quibashi to discuss the AETC holding the rights to his region's land and resources in exchange for further Alorian protection. In spite of his deep reservations, the Beiyi needed the Alorians to prevent a rebellion against his rule thus he agreed to the terms.
