This afternoon, Villamor Palace has announced the birth of the crown prince of the Kerisian Empire. Empress Isabella, who was mostly at rest at Sorsuela Palace throughout her pregnancy, was transferred to the Royal Hospital of St. Lucia near the University of Altea last night. According to official sources from the palace, the Empress went into labor shortly after 8pm, while she relaxed in the gardens of Sorsuela.

The Emperor and the Royal Council were in a scheduled meeting at El Capitolio when the Empress was taken to the hospital. The Emperor followed immediately. The Prince of Amateria, heir to the throne of Egelion and to New Endralon and Kizenia as Prince of Zyldavia, was born at approximately 4:35 am on August 1st. Witnessed by hospital staff and royal representatives, the Prince of Amateria and Zyldavia was officially named Alfonso Mátyás Mircea Étienne.

According to palace sources, Prince Alfonso is now just one of the many children that the Emperor and Empress hope to have. Based on a palace conversation heard many months ago, the royal family hoped to have many children to expand the Montalivet Dynasty which to this day, only includes six individuals. Emperor Leon Alexander stated weeks ago that his goal was to continue expanding his family and ensuring that there were suitable heirs and matches for the family's many thrones, including a potential throne in Endralon.

The nation rejoices as the royal family has now added an extra person, hoping that the dynasty will continue on.
