Tsargrad - While not entirely suprising to Deltarian political junkies, the dissolution of the Imperial Chamber might have come as a concerning event for ordinary Deltarian citizens. While scandals, corruption and nepotism plagued the liberal government of Martin Bastašić from the beginning, many still did not suspect that Emperor Vjekoslav would resort to dissolution, as history has shown that he only resorts to the measure in dire situations. But, seeing the refusal to sack Imperial Treasurer Sedlar and the failure of the government to completely eradicate Gradnican Defense, the Czar decided to act. 

In the "Instrument of Dissolution" the head of state cited "gross misconduct and a lack of public support" for the decision to dissolve parliament, also issuing a writ of election with elections to be held in January of 5698. Following his decision, the Emperor took to the public in a broadcast on our own network, appealling to the Deltarian people.

My dear subjects. It is with sadness and a sense of failure that i come to you today to announce the dissolution of the lower chamber. Despite my personal efforts to mediate and press the government on their responsibility, it has become clear that a effective government, counting on the support of a majority of the population, no longer sits within the ministry. As i issue new elections, i call upon all of you to make a choice. Our nation has faced security threats and economic hardships in recent months, with only descisive and stable leadership being capable of steering our great Empire in the right direction. I count on you to make the right choice and deliver us a government that can work towards the betterment of this nation. Only together may we push Deltaria forward/ Only together may our great Majatran project succeed, even in the face of hate and extremism now threatening our Empire

The latest polls show the KDU continue in its rise, with KDU leader Ljubomir Kelemen now launching his campaign under the slogan "Discipline, Vision, Forward". Following the dissolution, the NsS alliance immediately fell apart. Savez! broke away from the alliance, with the social liberals scrambling to leave as well. In the few years that the two worked together, Savez! nearly consumed the former Social Liberals, with the party its organization now in shambles and largely intertwined with the former NsS structures. Social Liberal representative Zoran Sodan, in a chaotic press conference, announced that all SL representatives would form a new caucus and seek to participate in the election, although it remains unclear if the SL will manage to participate in a election scheduled in just a few months time.
