Pizzi Government presents its roadmap for reforms: finance, labor and welfare

ROMULA - Six months since the new executive took office, the government led by Francesca Pizzi presented Yesterday its comprehensive roadmap of the main reforms it intends to implement during the current legislature. The document, presented by the Minister Secretary of State at the end of the Imperial State Council meeting, outlines priority measures in the financial, labor market and welfare sectors.

As Pizzi herself emphasized, this work was not born today, but has been maturing since the opposition years. The development of the proposals and programs was achieved thanks to extensive coordination between the expert groups of the Hosian Democratic Union, the National Liberal Party and Democracy & Freedom. This process, Francesca Pizzi credits as proof of political maturity and governance after decades of opposition.

On the financial front, the government intends to initiate a phase of regulatory simplification aimed at making the Istalian system more attractive to investment and more competitive internationally. The stated objective is to encourage the inflow of productive capital by reducing bureaucratic constraints and accelerating decision-making times, especially for non-systemic operators and for new financing instruments. The government's approach focuses on a more streamlined regulatory framework capable of stimulating growth and innovation.

Another pillar of the roadmap concerns the labor market: the government proposes a revision of current regulations to make them more flexible and adaptable to the needs of businesses and workers. Central to the proposal is the desire to overcome excessive rigidities, encouraging greater contractual autonomy and more dynamic management of employment relationships.

Among the key points outlined:

This reform aims to boost employment and competitiveness, creating a more favorable environment for economic initiative.

On the welfare front, the roadmap clarifies one of the most politically sensitive aspects: the universal basic income system introduced by previous governments will not be abolished, to satisfy the demands of the National Front, but rather profoundly recalibrated. The government intends to concentrate resources on the most vulnerable groups, progressively reducing transfers to higher income groups and completing the rationalization of bonuses and residual measures still in place. UBI is thus presented as the cornerstone of a simpler and more targeted system, capable of ensuring social protection without discouraging work and private initiative.

In presenting the roadmap, Francesca Pizzi forcefully asserted the political value of the initiative, emphasizing that the center-right now has the opportunity to demonstrate its ability to govern with seriousness and vision.

This roadmap is not an improvised project, but the result of years of work, discussion and study. Our goal is not to destroy what exists but to correct what doesn't work and build a more balanced, more efficient and fairer system for everyone.

We want a state that protects those in need, but at the same time doesn't penalize their entrepreneurial spirit, one that frees up energy, jobs, and investment. It is on this balance that our work and our credibility will be measured.
