Truth Commission Uncovers Systematic Campaign Against Esinsundu People

Central to the Commission's findings was the exposure of "Communities of Special Status," internment facilities in the isolated hinterlands of Counties Skee, Malairt, and Dergin. Between 5408 and 5499, tens of thousands of Esinsundu were confined to these camps under the guise of "protection" and "civic integration." The report documents that approximately 6,200 Esinsundu children were forcibly separated from their families and required to attend residential schools for five years, where they were prohibited from speaking their native languages.

The programme was authorised through an Order-in-Council of the Privy Council, which the Commission's report terms the "Impunity Order." The government has not yet acknowledged the findings as historical fact. Government Press Secretary Aoife Ní Mhurchú said Prime Minister McDermott has established a special parliamentary committee to deliberate the Commission's conclusions. "The Yingdalan community stands with our Esinsundu neighbours in demanding acknowledgement and justice," said Margaret Chen-Fitzpatrick, chair of the Council. "This is not just their struggle—it is a struggle for all minority communities in New Englia to be seen, heard, and respected."

Lee O'Carolan, leader of the Social Democratic Workers' Party, said his party supports the committee process whilst emphasising the need for careful historical analysis. "The SDWP believes any claims of systematic abuse must be rigorously examined," O'Carolan said. "We support a thorough parliamentary review of the Commission's evidence before concluding historical responsibility."

The Conservative People's Party issued a press release calling for justice to be delivered to all victims of historical atrocities, whilst noting that both Kilani and Inglian communities have also been subject to violence throughout New Englia's history. A coalition of human rights organisations is planning street protests for 29 October 5701.
