Sato bids for Luthorian missile defence program; Yishelem blocks ICBM IP

Fort William, Luthori - The notorious Yeudi ballistic missile manufacturer has reportedly been in talks with the LDO since 5701, when Fort William announced both its intentions to develop extensive missile defence programs, as well as open up contract bids to international suppliers.

High-ranking sources with the Interim Homeland Defence Office noted that Yishelem gave the "green light" for the Amudimim-based manufacturer to bid shortly after Fort William's confirmation that they had received their own nod of approval from Bannerhafen and Wiel.

However, Yishelem blocked Sato's bid on anything related to Yeudicho technology. Earlier this week, an HDO spokesperson commented:

While we can't exactly put any restrictions on Yeudi suppliers based and operating abroad, excluding our local allies - namely the Triad, Pontesi and Vanuku - we will continue to maintain our policy that any ICBM-related technology must and will remain closely guarded.

If any defence manufacturer wishes to engage in military contracts with foreign governments on such tech, they must do so on a research and development level.

Simply put, if Luthori wishes to attain ICBMs, they can employ Sato to help them develop their own tech.

The spokesperson confirmed that the "green light" was given by Yishelem on the basis of a multilateral understanding of close military relations, reportedly in the works since 5689.

Sato's bid includes all of its primary models for surface-to-air, anti-ship and air-to-surface short-range missiles (Nimrod, Barak and the Gabriel lines), as well as its family of anti-ballistic interceptors (Hetz) and its long-range artillery line aptly named the LORA. Neither the ASBM (anti-ship ballistic) line jointly developed with Pontesian manufacturers, nor the retrofitted mid-range ballistic missiles for the flagship Nekama-class cruiser and Jelbic-Yeudi subs were included in the bid.

Sato has also confirmed that it is open to develop new models and lines together with Luthori, provided that research and development compliments a continuous supply contract of its existing products.
