Lady Renee Houston makes announcement to Reporters at House Ananto
Her Imperial Majesty's Spokeswoman, Lady Renee Houston, issued the following statement to the press:
Quote:"It is with great joy and elation that it is my duty to announce that Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Carolina II Ananto and His Highness, the Prince Consort Elliot Rosenfeld are expecting a child. The news was confirmed by Her Imperial Majesty's personal doctors, who examined her in her home, and gave her a due date of March 13, 5704 based on her progress. This is fantastic news for House Ananto, the Ananto Family, the Dynasty and the Monarchy. There will be an heir, if all goes well during the pregnancy.
"Her Imperial Majesty will continue her regular duties until the end of the year, when she will move onto a light duty schedule until she and baby are fully bonded. During this period, she will work from Cliff House and will not travel abroad. The Royal Family report that they do not wish to learn the sex of the baby until birth and wish to have as natural a childbirth experience as possible. Her Imperial Majesty and the Prince Consort are both excited and a little scared for the process, both being new parents, and ask for the people of Kalistan to keep the family in your thoughts and in the Light until the baby arrives. All well wishes may be directed to the office at House Ananto."
Lady Houston confirmed that during the pregnancy, Her Highness, the Princess of the Empire Nicolette Ananto-Collins is expected to relocate to Cliff House and will come and go from Kaliburg to carry on her representation of the Empire in Egelion. "Lady Ananto-Collins has been invited to stay with the Royal Couple during the pregnancy, and agreed to help as much as she is able," said Lady Houston. "While the Princess said her baby sitting days are behind her, she still wants the opportunity to be the 'cool aunt' she was before she needed to step into the role of Regent. So she will stay with Her Imperial Majesty in Kaliburg as long as she is needed." Dame Alice Bjorksdattir has also confirmed her intention to take a little time off work to stay with the Royal Family in Kaliburg as well, especially in times when the Princess of the Empire needs to be in Egelion. Dame Bjorksdattir was inducted into the Ancient Order of the Grey Smoke last year and is a close personal confidante of Her Imperial Majesty.
Lady Houston confirmed that the family believes that the child was conceived before they left Valruzia, where the newlywed couple went for their honeymoon. "Both Her Imperial Majesty and His Highness both believe it to have been then, given the dates provided by the doctors," she said.
