Premier Dusan barely retains his majority, while the right-wing opposition is slowly rising

The regular parliamentary elections in April did not bring many surprises to the nation's political standings; however, they showed that the SPP–PCP coalition, also reffered by the domestic media as the "Magenta coalition" is prone to losing the majority very easily, as if at least a single MP leaves one of the two parties, the government becomes a minority one, as the two parties combined will now sit at just 115 years, the minimal number required to form a coalition.

It is expected that premier Niohon Dusan will remain in his position; however, he may face internal challenges from within the Socialist People's Party, whose members are questioning the premier's methods and campaigning strategies following the disappointing result in the election. "Our government does so much for this nation, for these people, and instead we are focusing on the cultural issues, and personal attacks, and we see the results, so we must change it", an anonymous socialist interlocutor told us.

However, while the left-wing coalition will continue to govern Bianjie, the right-wing parties are on the rise, with sovereignists and national conservatives combined accounting for almost 10% of the vote, nearly identical to the progressive communists. Gui Sadala, leader of the BSP, said that the rising support for his party "shows the demand for a different style of politics". According to Sadala, BSP is fighting against both the "traitorous leftists" of the SPP and PCP, as well as the "cowardly liberals" of the DPP, TPP and Horizon. When it comes to the NCU, Sadala said that he has "great respect" for his right-wing colleagues and that there is a much closer cooperation between the parties. When he was asked whether there could be a coalition or a merger of the sovereignists and national conservatives into one consolidated force, the BSP leader said: "Only time will tell". NCU leader, however, did not respond to the BDK's request for a comment regarding a possible coalition or merger with the BSP.

Leader of the Democratic People's Party, Erdeni Niri, says that his party will "keep up the constructive criticism and opposition activities against all odds" and "attempts of the SPP to discredit the democrats". Niri says that the DPP are most prominent opposition party, and indirectly attacked other opposition forces for not rallying around the democrats. "When we are being cowardly, my colleagues attack millions of voters who chose a better future, an actual chance of changes in this country, not some empty words", said Niri.
