Bianjie - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has formally requested the extradition of former Gaoist President Argat from Bianjie, seeking to put the former president on trial in the new Republic. The High Court had already indicted the former head of state for conspiracy, crimes against humanity and treason. Following the indictment, the Ministry of Justice issued a so called "writ of extradition" to the MoFA, calling on the ministry to ask for extradition from Bianjie, the country where the former president has been held since the end of the civil war. 

If approved, Argat will be transported to the Hall of Justice in the capital of Baatrynsentii where he will be held in a maximum security prison, protected by the Home Guard, until his trial at the High Court will commence. The court, appointed by President Khasar, is expecting the trial to last nearly a year, as prosecutors will have to present their case and the former president will be allowed to mount a legal defense, with the High Court having appointed renowned war-time lawyer Albert von Kriegshehr to lead Argat's defense. 

The request is likely to be fullfilled in the coming months, with Bianjie having repeatedly indicated that it seeks Argat's trial within the new Republic of New Verham, wishing to support the country in ending its dark chapter of civil war by itself.
