Greetings from Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Carolina II Ananto.

I shall not hold the assembly long. I would like to express my gratitude for the willingness of the Chair to manage the potentially destabilizing influence of the foreigners in this body. It was a problem that was easily and tactfully handled.

The Empress has asked me to express the desire of the Anantonese Empire for a framework for coordination and cooperation with our neighbors. There are growing threats in our world, and our region happens to enjoy an extraordinary degree of peace and stability which can be easily upset by the instrumentalist, cynical foreign policies of nations who are external to our region. Division, even division which is conditioned by cordiality and parallel action can be manipulated and wedged by people who are jealous of the peace and order which is the single unifying characteristic of our region.

Kalistan's primary interest is stability and security. A framework which involves a way to establish a credible channel of communication and the sharing of of information will certainly contribute to that. And with that stability and security as a foundation, we become more resistant to being undermined by outside actors who aim to manipulate and divide.

Kalistan fully expects each nation to continue to pursue their own interests, as any nation may. Kalistan's interests do not specifically align with the interests the honorable speaker from Egelion laid out, especially with regard to the sanctity of borders. But our goal should be to build upon what we share in common, rather than where we may see things in a different light. Perhaps not collective security, but shared interests.

To that end, we look forward to the speeches of our fellow delegates, and look forward to the development of this mutually agreed upon framework for the future of stability and security of our nation and our region.
