Quote:A warm welcome to all that have come to this historical first meeting of the potential signatory nations of a new treaty. It makes me very glad to see that regional security, sovereignty, and freedom are such important and valued convictions in our two continents this day and age.
We stand at the start of a new century, one that will undoubtedly be filled with greater challenges, greater than we have ever faced before. Us meeting here today, and the coming days, only shows how aware of this we all are.
This treaty that we are going to discuss shows a framework drafted by our diplomats, it is free to amend during this meeting, so if there are any issues please raise them. But this treaty has been drafted to serve as the tool to keep us all safe, and to fight for the safety of others as well. To summarise, within this treaty we commit to our own values, we commit to defending each other, we commit to forever maintain that defence, and we commit to closer cooperation both in economic and military sense.
Now, I will not keep you all busy too long with unnecessary pleasantries. Once again, welcome, and those that wish to speak are now free to do so.
