Luthori’s Imperial Arts Museum confirmed that following “long and drawn-out negotiations” between Luthorian and Yeudi diplomats over the course of two years, Luthori’s Holy Gem was to be returned to its homeland - “as soon as possible”, according to the IAM’s Director. 

Yishelem’s Arboutit sent an offer to Fort William two years earlier, asking for the return of the Holy Gem – in exchange for the House of Orange-Villayn-Armstead retaining ownership over it. Furthermore – following the return of the gem in Yeudi collection, a special section in Yishelem’s Archaic Museum would be built, celebrating Luthorian and Luthorian-Yeudi cultural heritage on the Holy Land. 

An interesting proposal which quickly got interested Luthori’s current gem keepers, the Imperial Arts Museum. The gem having been transferred from the Luthorian Museum of History to the Imperial Arts Museum as part of a transfer for a long-term expo in 5702. Following His Imperial Majesty’s personal blessing – representatives from the Imperial Household, on behalf of the Imperial Household Ministry begun negotiations with Yeudi representatives over the gem’s return to the Holy Land. 

In line with the original proposal – His Imperial Majesty’s representatives agreed in principle with the return of the Holy Gem in some capacity to Yishelem’s care. They nonetheless stressed His Majesty’s unwillingness to “sell” the gem to the Yeudis, citing its “particular status” in Luthorian cultural history and the fact that Luthori held the gem for far longer than Amudim or its predecessor states did. 

Emperor William’s representatives agreed to the following agreement – Luthori would “lease” the Holy Gem to the Yishelem Archaic Museum for an indefinite period – in exchange for the cession of 27.5% of the revenues gathered from the Museum’s Luthorian section to the House of Orange-Villayn's personal finances itself. 

This agreement – while ceding the gem, also provides for the return of the gem to Luthori at any moment, for a temporary period, if demanded by the Imperial Household. That does mean that at the request of the Imperial Household – the Holy Gem can be used at Coronations and other state events. 

This agreement was agreed upon yesterday when representatives from both parties signed the agreement related to the cession of the Holy Gem to Yishelem at the Richardian-era Palace of Whitepoll. On behalf of Emperor William XI – the agreement was signed by Imperial Household Minister and Lord Privy Seal, Lord Randolph Marvin, 3rd Earl of Winchester. 

The agreement was praised on some side – but also criticised on the other. HPP Leader, Richard Sykes-Powell criticised the agreement as an “unequal agreement, ceding a part of Luthorian history for nothing in return”, far-right nationalists have called on social media for a “patriotic march” in Fort William to protest the agreement – on the other side, government and left-wing opposition reactions have been positive, although for different reasons. 

“The strength of Luthori-Amudim relations provided for the creation of an agreement which respects the history of both parties and addressed their needs.” said the Prime Minister, Lord Huffington on social media – defending the agreement through the strength of bilateral Luthori-Amudim relations, which provided, according to government officials, an “equal agreement”. 

According to the Luthorian Imperial Art Museum in Fort William, the Luthorian gem will be transferred to Yishelem in March.
