Nadiya has always been known for being the odd sheep in the democratic world with its extremely weirdly stable institutions that follow such a hyper-federal and ultra-democratic approach to governance that isn't seen anywhere else in the globe, and it has shown to the world once again that the trend will continue as Songhyon announced his resignation from the position of Chief Executive.

Chief Executive Songhyon had effectively sent his letter of resignation to the presidential council, Nadiyan General Assembly, and the Supreme Cooperative Court for their approval of the move since he already appointed Secretary for the Nadiyan Commission of Accounts, Public Spending, and Financial Transparency, miss Ophelia Totleben as his successor for the position after deliberations with the members of the PCP across all three chambers of Parliament.

"I believe that I'm not fit anymore to lead the Confederal government in my capacities as Chief Executive," Songhyon said in a statement, "A true servant of the people knows when it's time to let go of power and allow for more qualified persons to lead this glorious nation to prosperity."

Hailing from the Matriarchal Utopian Party, Ophelia Totleben served in both of the Songhyon governments with a side position as member of the NCB's board of directors. She is known for her promotion of traditional matriarchal valeus and attachment to faith, but she is also renowned for carrying out successful financial and economic policies such as the "Ten Flowers of Nadiya" program that promoted local development and the lowering of inequalities which allowed for republics like Vrosnok and Lesnov to catch up to their more successful siblings, namely Kozacchyna and Brakav.

Ophelia has already promised that she will make sure that stable and transparent governance continues in Nadiya alongside the planned introduction of new economic investment plans especially in the sectors of fossil fuels since the Confederation lacks the capabilities of processing and refining high density and sour petroleums compared to its competitors in Majatra.
