Prime Minister Kuniyuki suspends the State Diet; "Security of the Republic requires sacrifice against extremism".

The Prime Minister of the Republic, Iwamoto Kuniyuki has formally announced the temporal suspension of the State Diet. With the State Diet unable to compromise on effective anti extremist action, or reinforcing the KRT Plan, and the possibility of the State Diet entering complete gridlock, Prime Minister Kuniyuki has announced that the State Diet will be suspended temporarily until the domestic situation has calmed down. Almost immediately, this made controversy everywhere on the political aisle, with the far left calling Kuniyuki a dictator, the centrists struggling to defend the move, and the far right also calling him a dictator. Because Seko is technically an anocracy, and power has been invested into the executive, there's little that can be done to oppose the Prime Minister however.
With the State Diet suspended, Kuniyuki has gone on record to say, that this is temporary and that safeguarding Democracy and the Republic requires sacrifices. To reassure the rest of the coalition, the already existing cabinet has been kept, which consists of Liberals, Progressives and CDP politicians. Whatever the case, Kuniyuki is intended to use "emergency powers and authority" to bypass gridlock, counter extremists on the left and right, and reinforce democracy, ironically via anti democratic means. However, both extremes have only reacted with more hostility, as the far right has begun organizing more and more protests and movements against Kuniyuki, attempting to weaponise centrist rhetoric against him, whilst the far left communists have reportedly been making moves to organize strikes. Which can only lead to an escalation in the future.
Whatever the case, Kuniyuki has pledged decisive action in the coming weeks, and that extremism of all flavours and branches will find no home in Seko, and economic recovery will continue, and occur. Whether this is true and democracy will survive or if it's simply empty promises as Seko peers into the void that is a dictatorship, is yet to be seen. Controversial as this move may be, only time will tell, for better or worse.
